This place has become one of my top 3 places to play in Nashville. The course is well maintained, the service is top tier (almost club level), and the price is right where it should be. Also they have the nicest carts on a public course in Nashville. Can't say enough nice things about this course and I am excited to play this Sunday for my birthday.

Facility and course are good, but I have an issue with the fact that a golf course will have a “relaxed” dress code that allows T-Shirts to be worn… but draw the line at tank tops or cut-off shorts.

I've been a member of the River Club at FBGC for many years. I play at least once a week and sometimes up to 3X. The staff here is excellent. The pub is great. I'm always meeting new people after a round. The pro shop is excellent as well. What Brooks has done since taking over is nothing short of remarkable. He has transformed what some might have called a "cow pasture" into a very nice track. I haven't always agreed with some of the changes (like changing #9), but it isn't my decision to make. Free warm up balls, a burger/dog and a beer with your round and a decent pace of play are the cherries on top. Bottom line is that I know Brooks is constantly trying to improve this course and for that reason alone, I am grateful to have an awesome "home course" to play.

Overall very nice course, facilities, staff and experience. The greens were fast and true and pace was on point (4:15 on a Sunday). Imo was a little pricey for what it is but unfortunately in line with middle TN greens fees. At least they throw range balls in! I'll definitely be back

For a golf course to pride itself on being a “public” course, it’s very disappointing to turn down someone just wanting to hit a bucket of balls on the driving range due to a “members tournament” going on. There were 2 people on the driving range. Terrible first impression to someone that lives ten minutes away and would love to give you money routinely.

A group of ladies played this course this week. Everyone working was so nice to our group. I especially want to mention Harrison. Gordon and Mike (the starter). It’s a very nice course but a lot of walking since carts return to cart paths when you get within 100 yards from the greens.

Very well run course. From the starter informing you of pace of play based on current information to the round of drinks, after the round. If you aren't familiar with the area if can be a bit difficult to find so give yourself extra time. All types of terrain but the course is very well maintained.

By far the best public course in middle TN. Course is well maintained, includes a hot dog or burger and beer with your green fee, great practice area, marshalls are super friendly, and pace of play is solid.
Also, the performance center is top notch. I went from not being able to hit a golf ball whatsoever to breaking 100 in 6 months by getting lessons with Scott Hasse!

I’d be shocked at what experience anyone else had if they are not giving Franklin’s Bridge 5 stars. You want Southern Hospitality? Franklin Bridge! You want to have a fantastic round, good pace of play, and a great track? Franklin Bridge.
Honestly, they could not have done more for our group of 12. John was amazing from the start of our communication and the team on the day followed through what he started. No one accepted a tip, thanks was enough! Unreal!
From Adam Fisher-Titus and the group in early May, thank you. You’ve got golfers for life now when we’re in the South.

Multiple holes under maintenance. A couple of greens were unplayable. 1 hole completely shut down. 1 tee box completely shut down. My first time coming back to Franklin Bridge in 2025. This will be my last. I look forward to speaking to Brooks regarding the round.
Overpriced and under delivering. Golf cart services Staff was accommodating + the food voucher is a positive. The course is a negative. In addition to the financial issues the club is experiencing with their online system "to blame". Club pro sounds like he needs a reality check and dose of common sense. The benefit this course has as one of the only public/semi-membership options in the area has questioned the inflated egos and integrity of the management and course operations.

Course is in great shape. Tee boxes are near perfect. Pro shop is great, staff are good, and getting a burger + beer + chips + range balls included with your round is a nice touch. The carts have the nicest seats I’ve ever experienced
But as always, the knock on this place is price and pace of play. It’s a very short course, so you’re necessarily waiting on most holes to hit, and doing so for ~5hrs gets tiresome quick
Couple that with the $100+ you’ll pay for most rounds and it can be hard to justify. It’s a nice little executive course, but if I’m playing Gaylord prices, I’m looking for a Gaylord experience, and the complimentary burgers only go so far

This is one of the best public run golf courses in the area. The bar is sensational. The food is great. The course is magnificent sometimes too crowded. I would avoid weekends but generally this is a really well-run establishment almost private club kind of service. As I've been a member of several private clubs, I would say the service is terrific. The range, although you have to hit off Matt's is just fine and they've got a chipping area where you can come out of sand and practice. It really is sensational. Perhaps the only drawback is the putting green which really needs some help. The practice putting green behind the driving range needs improvement, but I still gave it five stars

This is THE BEST public course in the middle TN area. Conditions are just as good as The Hermitage, but the staff & rare golf business model makes this course rank even higher. Only downside is I have to drive an hour from Wilson County.

Brooks and his team have done a great job with the course. With the demand of golf and lack of courses locally, you couldn’t ask for a better crew. Being a local, it’s nice to see it thriving.

As someone who lives in the neighborhood and walks frequently, there has been many times I have came close to getting hit with a ball. Not a lot to say, but the employees were genuinely friendly. The golf course was in good shape. Main issue is that I play to have fun and I can’t stand the numerous signs everywhere; “Stay off the grass;” “Keep all four tires on the path;” and on and on. The touch screen in the golf cart was great, except it spent 6 holes telling us we were behind, though we teed off 15 minutes late. Finally we were forced by the Marshall to skip a hole, only to wait 10 minutes to tee off. I’ve played a lot of courses. If I want to be constantly told what to do for four hours, I’ll call my ex.

Booked Franklin Bridge about a month out and this was going to be our first time out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Gordo made us feel welcomed and gave us a few tips for the course. The pro shop is well stocked with great brands and the bar/grill has great selections for food and beer. The practice areas were some of the best I’ve experienced. This has a private course vibe! Very nice fairways that are well kept and the greens were in excellent shape. This is a course that will be in a regular rotation from here on. We drove from Huntsville and it was well worth the trip! Looking forward to planning our next trip.

Always great fun at this course. Staff is very nice. I will say it’s getting way too crowded, especially for the price. The new owner has done so much to improve it and has done an awesome job. The other day we tee’d off at 5 to play nine… only to get to the #2 tee… with THREE groups waiting to hit. That’s disheartening when you’re hoping to enjoy nine before sunset… and nine for the price of 18 (since the course does not have a 9 hole rate). Keep up the great work, but these growing pains need addressing.

It’s hard to lower a star rating because of prices since it clearly is working for them as a business. But 110 for 18 is no longer an accessible amount for the public. The course will most likely go private in the next 10 years. Conditions are good but not THAT good. Place is always packed which is fine. They’ve done a lot to justify the price in the last few years.

The vast canvas of the sky, with clouds painted in brilliant colors in the air. Light pink, dark pink, orange yellow, golden yellow, grass green, dark green, dark blue, various rich colors constantly change with the clouds. The brush of nature depicts the dreams of human life. On the practice field, a row of golfers were neat and orderly, their swings resounding and powerful, like beating drums and spreading flowers.
The curved moon rises quietly, and the Big Dipper shines brightly in the sky. The ALTAIR and VEGA stars look at each other from a distance, just like the ancient Tang Dynasty poem “The young girl stood inside the wall and saw her beloved man riding by on a horse from a distance. The two could only look at each other from a distance and could not talk. They were heartbroken and wanted to cry but had no tears”
At this moment, the entire sky was silent, quietly listening to the beautiful and sad legends of ancient times.
It is a golf course, but also a theater of human life from ancient times to the present.

Played here yesterday. Pace of play ruined the round for me. Course is in rough shape - I can think of three holes with mats in place of tee boxes. They moved our tee time back 20 mins without telling us. Typical Nashville public golf problems.
On a positive note, we love the course layout and the “free” range balls/meal/beer with the round. The staff are nice to interact with. They seem to be sprucing up the property. I saw lots of freshly poured concrete, new mulch in the flowerbeds, and an oddly placed trackman bay in the middle of the bar.

The whole experience was fantastic. Lots of working going on out on the course. Not sure what they’re working on as the course was a blast to play, but there is clearly a commitment to making it even better. The best part was the staff. It was clear from every interaction - pro shop, restaurant/bar, starter - that the team was focused on ensuring that we had a great experience. The fairways were all entirely dead grass. The ground was essentially concrete. I broke 4 tees just trying to stick it into the tee box as the ground was rock hard. Worst conditions I’ve played in a while. Additionally, the starter didn’t know what he was doing and made me wait 5 minutes while he argued with the pro shop about if I was actually on the list as they kept telling him I was supposed to be teeing off. Just a miserable experience from start to finish.

I play here quite a bit as it is my local course… beyond that I hit the range (and when it was open, the chipping green) just about every day. I have had the enjoyment of grinding here from a 20+ handicap down to a 3.2 in about 2 years of hard work. The course has come a long way and I’ve enjoyed calling this place my home. The improvements have been tremendous, especially to the practice area, and I know Brook’s heart is in the right spot.
I’ve given the course 4 stars for a few reasons:
First, I hate coming off the mats here and going on the grass… not because the driving range grass is bad, it’s mainly the people who practice here believe their clubs are actually shovels and the best way to hit the ball is from 6 inches under the dirt. I would love it if there was a balance between designated grass days and mats days, that would be a game changer. Either that or a grass only and a mats only area.
Second, still on the driving range, they have recently added new flags out there to aim at but it would really be great if there were more targets of better quality (better quality meaning flags with greens and known distances not just random flags in the ground) as well as chipping targets (hermitage GC has cool little steel targets about the size of a truck tire that they place 30-50 yards away from the hitting area).
3rd, as mentioned, I really enjoy playing here, but, for non-river club members it’s pricey ($100 on the weekends). My friends simply do not want to pay that rate for this course so when we play together we go elsewhere. To that point, however, in the winter, as a RC member, it’s like $10 for a round after 3pm on the weekdays which is awesome. I would love it if there was a discount offered to friends of RC members on the day of play as long as they are in the same 4-some.
Now back to what I think makes this place special.
4, 13, and 18 are all par 4’s that require less than driver. 7, 8, and 10 are all good risk/reward holes that require a great drive in a small landing area or laying up short with a longer approach/ having to get there in 3 instead of 2 (at least on 7 and 10). What this means is between 3 and 6 you don’t pull driver and then again between 12 and 15 so you have to maintain your swing/feels between large gaps of not using everyone’s favorite/ most hated and feared club.
There are good mixes of short, long, and wild grasses/ foliage. Wayward shots in the wrong areas will cause you to lose your ball, BUT, it’s Williamson county… go in the sh*t and you’ll walk out with a handful of Pro V1’s… the golf gods give and take I guess haha.
Water comes into play on 2, 4 and 7 (sort of), 9 (when it is back open the way it’s intended to be), 10 if your drive is long and right of center, 13, 17, and 18. On the flip side, 1 and 6 are drivable par 4’s for longer hitters and 2, 7, 10, and 17 are all par 5’s that are reachable in 2 if your tee shot works out nicely. The par 3’s then all bring you back down to earth as many of them are over 200 yards from the tips so a birdie there is hard earned and celebrated. All this to say you can attack this place, play it safe, and go through the track completely differently every time you play it.
@Brooks, please take the above “gripes” as constructive suggestions. I really do love this place and all you have done/ continue to do here. You’ve put your heart into FB and it shows. I’ll be coming here for years to come!

Had friends in from from NC and FL. Will never again recommend this course under current ownership. The worst was the overbearing starters and Marshall. They had at least 6 fairways closed to carts (no rain) yet they drove carts onto the tee boxes while we were on them for maintenance! Then complained to us about entering fairways too early before their unmarked stakes. Rudely approached us saying we were 23 minutes behind after we teed off on 14 when we had waited numerous times on the front nine and on 11,12 and even 14! Tee boxes were often mostly sand, unlevel, greens had many bare spots with trench repairs and numerous areas of nothing but dirt in close proximity to greens. This course was much better run when it was Forrest Crossing.

It’s a nice course, but their prices have gone up drastically since last year. It seems they are going for a more higher end public course feel, or maybe going private in the future. Either way, it’s always busy there, but it’s a great public course.

Have been playing here for 3 years and it's insane how bad of shape the course is in. Seeing the owner's response to a previous review and seeing the course conditions first hand make me want to not play here again. I was absolutely cheated out of $30 for 9 holes. Blaming the conditions on weather from December is one thing, but weeds everywhere is unacceptable.

Had to play here in a tournament. Horrible conditions. The greens are dead with weeds growing in them. Only a few fairways have grass. Not one level Teebox on the course. Cannot believe they charge the public $90 on the weekends to play the course. Rough is an understatement.
***UPDATE***
Owner response is laughable. Legends is a couple miles away. No issues. The Grove is a few minutes away and is perfect. Google will not allow to upload videos or I would love to post them. I would avoid this course if you have the option too.

I have had a phenomenal experience with both Scott and Elijah! Scott, has taken the time to completely reconstruct my swing to something that is more consistent and dependable. I am starting to see progress and what a golf swing is actually supposed to feel and look like. His patience and teaching methods are fantastic- it is evident that he truly cares about his students.
Elijah, has really helped me with my course management and general approach to the game. He has awesome knowledge and offers practical thinking that will allow you to improve your game. He keeps it chill, but does an awesome job of connecting the dots for the student.
Bottom line- Check these guys out they will for sure help you improve and love the game of golf!

Course is in decent shape. Value of what you get is good but the Marshalls out here have a power trip. Went on the fairway once by accident as we didn’t know and no clear markings and we got the 10th degree. Never experienced that on a course before.

I have been participating in the instructional program for a couple months and I have seen a vast improvement in my swing. The instructors really takes the time to identify areas for opportunity within my swing. It's not just generic instruction. They also have a number of programs for all levels of golfers.

The improvements made to this place under new ownership can not be overstated. The course itself has seen constant improvement in aesthetics making it more enjoyable to play and those improvements continue. The revamped practice areas are wonderful and essential to those looking to improve. Add in the instruction available (some free) with Scott H. and Elijah T. and the club is hard to beat. Kudos to Brooks and team for all the hard work. It is paying off and will only get better.

I give The Bridge 5 stars. I might be a little biased, but this rating is actually a reflection of the comments I get each day I work as a ranger/starter.
People are always very complimentary of what the owner (Brooks West) and his staff are trying to create -- and have created. Nearly universally, people are VERY POSITIVE about the experience of playing here. They appreciate the pace of play (usually!) and the burger and beer are an added bonus.
What I think sets us apart are all the good people who play out here. We are lucky to have such down to earth and appreciative golfers. Nothing pretentious here! Come out and give us a try. You won't be disappointed.
P.S. If you need lessons, we've got some great pros here too!

Love the course, and all the tournaments they host. They have a great program to educate the members and the younger generation. This course will be one of the best in the State for many years. The course changes have proven to make the play fun and challenging for the right event. The Bear (2022) was legit this year.

Franklin Bridge has made significant improvements under new ownership; better course maintenance, great practice range, chipping and putting greens. Course has changed in quality based on the vision of Brooks to have a great public course. Brooks always has a smile on his face while taking his turn at running equipment (I believe he enjoys this part), supervising improvements or greeting guests. The staff is friendly and very helpful as needed. Scott Hassee and Elijah Tackett are available to make improvements in your golf experience. Evan is great to organize events for any outing.
Appreciate the vision Brooks is sharing as it improves my experience with golf and friends. Overall, a course to be enjoyed by golfers with different skill sets.

I want to say that I have seen this facility grow from an embarrassment prior to the new owner to one that I am proud to wear the Red Bridge on my chest or sleeve. I can sit here and compliment the Superintendent and his crew to the employees within the clubhouse but it took someone to find those people. Brooks you have done an amazing job in just a short period of time!!! I can’t wait for what’s on the horizon. Thanks for all you do!

Very nice course, nice folks and facilities. Affordable and fun to play. We wanted to give them 5 stars but there was one very glaring drawback to our round and perhaps someone should rethink what the scheduling is like. From the first tee on we were three groups deep waiting at each tee box for the teaching pro and five adult students under his instructions. Instead of scheduling groups right behind them perhaps a half hour block of no tee offs would have allowed play to be better paced and not be slowed to an absolute stop by this teaching method.

AWESOMENESS Played there 9/14/22 booked on-line
(very easy)
I'm a single playing senior (I'm 68) with discount a FREE cheeseburger and drink, my AMEX total was...
$43.90 for 18 holes and cart. That's a MONDAY, NOON TEE OFF!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Played there 3 times in 2021. 9 times in 2022 I had the good fortune to meet the new owner Brooks West in April 2021 when we moved down to Spring Hill from Naperville, IL just outside Chicago. The course was starting renovations. I'm just guessing but it looks likes from 2019 to yesterday, Brooks has put in at least $3-4 million in upgrades easy. I Love it.
The Course can be very challenging for ALL skill levels.
It's very scenic for a suburban course. Several groups asked me to take pictures of them on the bridge.LOL I loved that.Nice Memories for all. HAVE FUN! If you want to complain, go back to work. Yes, there "are cart path only" holes that might slow down play, HEY wake up they are RENOVATING and applying new sod and watering, making new concrete paths, removing trees and roots, ALL while keeping a 4 -5 hour pace BE PATIENT. SMILE
and Tell the crew that you appreciate their work. Don't you love it when a stranger tell you what a great job your doing.
I applaud you and your crew 100% Brooks.
FOLKS...Play Ready Golf, once you get on the green,1st one to their ball putts and finishes, enter your scores on the next tee box, get your food and beverage after the round rather than on the 10th hole. Food at the turn will make you unfocused , lazy and tired. You'll enjoy it more after you BIRDIE 18. PS I had 4 birdies on the Back 9 which i personally thing is harder. Rather be lucky than good! Thank you Brooks and your staff I will be looking to join as a full member next year, God willing. Dennis B.

It was great!. Only thing I didn’t expect was that if you go by yourself you might have to share a cart with another golfer which I didn’t mind. But it might catch some people by surprise. They use gas carts, so it’s their way of saving gas since gas prices are high.
The water coolers on the course were a savior in this hot weather. Bring a water bottle and plenty of water
For a game of golf, you get a drink, burger or hot dog, golf cart and small bucket of balls (~ around 20). It was $83 for a 11am tee time. Sure beats Towhee’s price in Spring Hill, considering this place gives you food and range balls. I made the extra drive to try this place and it didn’t disappoint. Pace of play was ok although I’ve heard it can be much slower.

Very fun golf course that is usually in great condition (from my experience). The only downside right now is that they are re-doing #9 to be a downhill par 3. It was previously a pretty difficult par 5, but it was a lot of fun. You had to hit it over the water 2 times. Kind of wish they kept it as a par 5, but the par 3 looks like a lot of fun too.
The round comes with a bucket of warm up balls, and lunch too. It is really a great deal.
Can't wait to play it again!

Golf Course is not run well. They oversold their membership and not to make things work they are pulling benefits away. Rates increased 10% for seniors, you can only hit 1 bucket of balls per day, the range is closed after every evening rain and is often closed for repairs, the range is in bad shape and the course isn't that much better maintained. The staff in the pro shop are clueless. Every time I have asked a simple question that the pro shop should have an answer to their answer is "I don't know." The course also doesn't communicate well with the members. Rates on the weekends are higher than the value of the golf course. Might want to pass on this golf experience.
