The gym is fine BUT they do not have child care during the advertised hours. For months the girl who works in the morning is always hours late or calling out and nobody knows where she is. Management refuses to hire someone who is reliable so parents get the benefits they pay for. It’s outrageous.

The staff and management of Gold’s gym are very rude and inconsiderate. They trick young students into joining and signing contracts without telling them the full details. They just steal your money. I would highly recommend to not join this gym and please beware there all many hidden fees. Also god for bid life happens and you need to cancel the process and fees are outrageous

I’ve been to the Smyrna golds gym and the old fort, and the memorial location I currently go to is clean, not overly crowded like the others and the staff is always helpful. Is overall a better gym to come to in my opinion.

This is my absolute favorite gym to come to out of all of the golds in the Murfreesboro or Smyrna area. It is always super clean, and the people upfront working at the desk are always very kind and respectful. We love Ken and grant and I whole heartedly believe golds gym couldn’t have a better general and assistant general manger !! Keep up the good work guys !! So i went to find a personal trainer, spoke with Jeffery and Ricky. They was ok. Ricky wrote uo a contract on a white peace of paper for the agreement je told me was to lock in the price untill I come back and pay. We'll nit even a full week later I contracted them both explaining i can't continue bc my job did cuts and that I'll come back when I can to get started. They said ok. They never mentioned I was locked in a contract or told me I needed to cancel anything. Here we ate like 5 months later at 1st being harassed by some layers calling several times a day saying I have to pay $500 something. Today I get a letter saying I gotta pay $6000. I have not step foot in that gym since the Intial day. I try calling golds gym to see what's going on and they say once it hut collections they can't do anything. It should have never made it that far. Nit to mention i never git a copy of this so called contract. This is high robbery. They want me to pay for services I didn't even use. 6k I just can't wrap my mind around this. This is ridiculous!!!!!
I don't even work full time bc of medical issues and they want me to pay this!!!!!!!
I will never step foot in a golds gym ever again. Even my family canceled their membership after I showed them what happened. Like why????

The staff was very rude and disrespectful, they were not professional with their communication and have attitude for no purpose. I tried checking in with the guess last but they didn’t allowed me to use it when it said redeemed on my email , meaning I could use that and I tried to but I was accused of trying to sneak in when I’ve never been there because I have a membership at crunch instead ( I was looking to switch ) but also pay attention that the charge is biweekly and not monthly. I asked the how much is the membership . They Use to be $10 A MONTH and not it’s 24 biweekly aka 48 a month , thatgym is very old and outdated and empty, it’s not worth its value especially with the first impression of the regional Gm acting like he own golds gym company when in reality he’s a slave to them and works for the system

Favorite Gold’s in Murfreesboro. Best time to go is before 9am or after 7pm. Staff is great. Machines are great. If you need help or equipment, the staff will help you. No need to be afraid to ask, everyone is there for the same reason. I never worked with the trainers, so I can’t give my opinion. And to the women, Shein has great workout clothes for the lowwww. If you see me, don’t be afraid to say hi. I promise im not mean. I just be focused 🤣

Dropping to two stars due to most recent 'renovation' and the lack of cleaning. The renovation simply consisted of over-crowding the gym with equipment from a location which was closed. Now we have ZERO room in free weight section. Dont look too closely under equipment or you may find the dust collection having a party that you were not invited to. Very disappointing.

I had high hopes when I joined Gold’s Gym, but my experience has been underwhelming. The equipment is outdated, with many machines frequently out of order and not repaired promptly. The gym often feels overcrowded, making it hard to complete a workout without long waits. Cleanliness is another issue—locker rooms and bathrooms are not well-maintained, and the gym floor sometimes feels unsanitary. Customer service leaves much to be desired. Staff members are often unhelpful or seem more interested in upselling expensive personal training packages than addressing concerns. Additionally, the membership cancellation process is unnecessarily complicated and feels like a deliberate attempt to make you stay longer than you want. For the price they charge, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend Gold’s Gym and will be looking for a more professional and member-focused fitness facility.

I walked in today and the desk staff snapped her figure at me and said “hey hey you need to scan your card” well my friend was walking right behind me and he was scanning for both of us because we are on the same membership. She questioned that, looked at my account and said that I had a gold or standard membership and it’s only for one person. I should not have two people on it so one of us cannot come into the gym. I said well his name is on my membership. I added him while ago and she looked at my account. She said he’s not supposed to be on there. I will go ahead and remove him, I said you cannot just remove him because I have him so let me speak to a manager. She claimed she was the manager then she claimed she was the manager assistant, and after me, insisting to speak to the manager, she went and called him and she told me you will hear the same thing from him. She was mad at us as if we had hacked in to their system and added him to my membership. Her attitude was escalating the situation. The manager explained to us that if he wanted to be added, we will have to upgrade my membership and that was understandable. Then my friend asked The manager who we were talking to if we can work out for the Day since he is already here. Before the manager answers, she jumped from the back and she said “no he has to leave”. She didn’t even give us an option to pay for the day. My friend told her im talking to him. She got so frustrated and she took a walk around the Front desk. A person in this position should have a better control of their emotion. The manager then said not after what he just said. You will have to leave. So we said OK as we were walking out she screamed in the back “ You’re not going to say sorry” I turned around, and I called her entitled. I’ve been coming to this gym for approximately five years. I’ve never had a situation like this. So I went to the other gold gym, and I noticed my membership was terminated. I read the report and some stuff were left out. What happened today was Textbook for bullying. This manager and assistant manager should be held accountable. They work at this gym to service us not to bully us.

Overall pleased with the Memorial gym location. One suggestion I would give is if the gym is going to be closed unexpectedly, a blast text message would be helpful for members. From work, I drive about 25 minutes past my house to get to the gym. It’s frustrating to arrive and find it closed, when a text would be a simple notification method.

If you are approached by someone asking to offer you personal training do not accept the offer if they work for lighthouse fitness management. You will be signed into a scam contract that requires you to pay 500+ to get out even when the trainer told me that I could “cancel anytime”. Shady, and crazy Golds allows lighthouse fitness management to have a desk in the gym to prey on people. I should I’ve looked them up on google first. The BBB even has them listed as suspended and non accredited.

As for the gym it’s alright. Considering going elsewhere. Stuff is broken a lot. Employee’s are helpful.
