Tall walls, great setting, pretty stiff grades. Everything you could want in a gym. Literally amazing. Only suggestions- moonboard setup seems like spacing isnβt correct. Having a moderate or hard climb on the outdoor glass wall would be cool

We had the best time here!!! My five-year-old, eight-year-old, and my 35-year-old self thoroughly enjoyed everything it had to offer! The Kids Zone was so much fun, and there were also plenty of other rooms for advanced climbers! Make sure to visit when youβre in Chattanooga!

Love this place! Staff is nice and the owner is even nicer! I donβt know about you, but I love supporting a business with incredible owners who really do care and want to make your experience a great one. My daughter is absolutely obsessed with this place and constantly asks when we can go back. Highly recommend their climbing club for kids, too!

Came in at 8pm with a kid. The front end associates refused the service claiming that it will take them 30 min to set up and they are about to begin vacuuming. We came in 2 hours before closing - thatβs pretty messed up to refuse a kid. Those associates better vaccine that place well for the full 2 hours. I hope someone finger swipes that place next day.

I took 3 kids and had a very nice time. The facility is great a d a wonderful kids area. The issue I have is when I went to take my belay test and was told I couldn't use a Grigri. Why? I was told it was company policy that I have to pass the belay test with a non-auto locking device. When I pointed it out to several staff that a Grigri is NOT and auto-locking device the staff could care less. text from the Grifri website: "Compact and versatile belay device with cam-assisted blocking for lead and top rope climbing". No where on the Petzel website does it say the Grigri is an auto-locking device. I really hope the gym is NOT teaching that a Grigri is an auto-locking device.

Came out for a little adventure because Keira had her sister over to spend the night and go rock climbing at Highpoint wall climbing in downtown Chatt on broad street. We havenβt been here before so it took a little longer than usually because you have to fill out the liability forms before entrance to the rock climbing area. I havenβt been to a place like this in a long time so the prices are higher than I thought they would be but you know everything has gone up. Price 24.95$ plus tax. Then you have to pay for parking $7.00. The instructors were helpful and told the children all the rules and showed them all the different room and area to climb in. They try and keep the age groups close to each other if possible. The bathroom were also clean. On a scale of 1-10, I would give it a 8 . Iβve never seen anything that was perfect but nice.

I was not told that the orientation had a 15 minute timer nor was I told that I could not touch the ropes before taking the top rope test. This stopped me from delaying this day which caused a lot of problems since I was only at the gym for a day. Had I been told either of these rules I would have had no problem adhering to them.

This High Point location is great! The staff is super friendly and the routes are challenging. Itβs well kept as well, and the class offerings are really great. Thereβs also a gym to use upstairs, which is great as a member :) they also often offer different specials for members, such as Friend February which allowed members to bring one guest every day (even repeating guests!) for free. I only removed one star because the top rope routes change verryyy infrequently :/ there are times where a top rope route can be up for months on end while the bouldering routes change pretty consistently. I just wish the variety was better maintained for the top rope routes. Regardless, it is a great gym and I love having a membership here!

Gym itself was great, the staff that was working that night were rude. Idk what was up but the front desk people look miserable. I came in with a group of 5 friends, we were on a hiking trip and thought itd be cool to check out the gym (and grab some real showers) One of the friend is a newbie and the staff were so unhelpful, he had to keep asking me what he needed for his first climb. The routes and gym itself were nice, good setting and plenty of space. We were climbing the partner route and one of the workers were vacuuming and rolled his eyes because he coulded vacuum under the route...after climbing we grabbed showers and were pushing it close to your closing time (our bad), they turned the lights out on us while in the shower room which I think is very dangerous and one of them yelled from the front desk that we needed to leave because they were closed. It was 2 mins past at that time and we were getting ready to walk out. I've climbing at a lot of gyms and this was the worst vibes ive ever experienced.

First time here but definitely not the last. The entire experience was wonderful from staff to the other climbers, how well the facility is kept.
Nolan was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and patient with my little guy as he asked a bunch of non-climbing questions π
We ended up having to leave because I got a nose bleed (not climbing related) but literally everyone made that so simple! Staff and climbers alike helped me get cleaned up, got my son unhooked, even offered to help get the stains out of my clothes.
When I say every interaction at the gym was incredible, I truly mean it.
We'll be back again VERY soon. π

overall it was fun climbing but Iβm not sure the staffs were nice here. They all talk nice and stuff but when you ask for something they tend to be busy.
However, walls were fun it was spacious and oh man the outdoor climbing was something else when the sun was going down; but I felt line staffs were a bit distracted or just (tend do) too busy welcoming new comers. I would visit only once for the outdoor wall

I have been climbing with gym since urban rocks. Since being a member for over 15 years, they have managed to raise their prices 3x in the past 3 years. They have no benefits that most gyms have and the front desk workers donβt get paid enough making them grumpy. Itβs always a bad experience.

This place is as about as cool as you can imagine. There is climbing all over the place. Kids, adults, and every one in between can find their happy spot here. It does seem to be more for the real serious people here, however we arenβt serious about it all and just love it for the kids. Staff is super duper friendly.

I was underwhelmed, the photos online made the gym look much bigger and nicer than it was, and especially the outdoor climbing walls were heavily featured in photos and they appeared to be poorly maintained. Went to this gym with some friends, and it was pretty fun. This was my first time at a rock climbing gym so I didn't know how to work any of the equipment there, but that didn't matter as our instructor Meg gave us an overview on how to work the autobelays. The bathrooms there are nice and clean. The free climbing areas were fairly safe as well. There is a parking garage literally built above the gym so when compared to other places in downtown Chattanooga it has easily accessible parking. All in all I'll probably come back next time I'm in town.

Really nice facility with bouldering, a gym, about 6-7 auto- belay and numerous standard belay ropes. Went on my own visiting from out of town as a * severe newbie * and the workers were very friendly and got me set up to do the auto belays. Easily can spent a couple hours. $31 for harness, shoe rental and a day pass.

Overall, I think High Point is fun, especially for a children's activity. One ticket allows for re-entry the entire day. On your first visit, you sign a waiver and have an employee give you a tour. There are walls for adults, but we go to the children's room. But there is room for improvement. Our daughter has a fun tim, but the fun wears off fast. I don't climb, and there is only one wooden bench for seating, so it's not my favorite. Oftentimes, groups of adults will come take over the children's area, especially the building towers, and there is never staff monitoring or asking them to leave space for the children. That can be frustrating. The entrance is located next to Mellow Mushroom. Paid parking is available. Reservations are not required.

The crew and I try to hit downtown Highpoint every time we come through Chatt! What a great gym. We love how everything is spread-out into different rooms, makes for a quieter and calmer environment then we're used to back in Florida. Grades are just slightly softer than our gym, but way more varied with interesting traverses that feel more similiar to outdoors. Some great 10s and 11s for a casual day, and the pit has WILD overhangs. A perfect primer to all the legendary sport climbing at Fosters and Denny Cove.
With a new coffee shop coming in, plenty of parking, and a Mellow Mushroom right next door, this is my dream home gym!

Overall not bad. A ton of the footholds(especially on the top rope climbs) were so worn down that they were basically useless. Gym could use a solid cleaning and some new handholds/footholds because of the amount of daily traffic is really taking a toll. Bouldering had a nice variety of traditional climbs and comp style boulders. Grading seemed fairly reasonable for the boulders, the top rope climbs were slightly sandbagged but I didnβt mind. Most of the walls are short with a small selection of 9 long climbs for top rope. Still had a good time and would be back again if in the area.

I went here the other day and had an awful encounter with a manager at this gym. I had filled out the waiver and was walking back to get a tour of the gym when the manager began verbally attacking me and my sister. The manager was wasnβt wearing a name tag, but he had a dark scraggly beard and gives off lord Farquaad vibes. He was talking to my sister in a way as if he thought no one was watching, given the opportunity he would have continued to talk down to her and attack her in a way that makes you wonder what would have happened if I would have not intervened demanding he should talk to a women in a respectful mature way. When I defended her, he then proceeded to kick me and my sister out. I recently moved to Tennessee and planned on getting a membership at this gym, but was kicked out before I had the chance to sign up and after reading other reviews and my experience I wouldnβt waste your time with this gym. Itβs out dated, not family friendly, and women beware this manager will yell and attack you if provoked, so be carful.

High point climbing has decent routes and nice walls. Their workout facilities (weight/cardio rooms) are also well equipped. I would caution that the outdoor wall is made out of a plexiglass material, which creates spinning holds and an unpleasant climb. The general manager at this location is also quite unprofessional and seemingly uneducated.
The community at this gym is pretty much nonexistent and the vibe is fairly unwelcoming. The management/owners of the facility seem to only care about their bottom line rather than creating a community of climbers. On top of this, they also underpay ($10/hr) and undervalue their staff, and instead of creating a livable wages, they choose to build additional locations.
The pricing of this facility is also incredibly high for what is actually provided to you. For a family of 3 to climb for a day it will cost nearly $100. Their orientation and check-in procedure will take upwards of 20 minutes. If you climb for sport and are considering getting a membership here, keep in mind that there are constantly young children and unexperienced climbers present because this gym is a tourist attraction.

Great value! A great day trip for adults or kids. I'm a bigger adult and even though I had to mostly climb in the kids area I didn't feel judged and had a blast! Our main goal was to attempt to climb the outside wall and upon going in we found it was closed. The 2 of adults and my 9 year old all had a great time! I went to the desk and asked about it and they opened it right up for us! Great customer service and the team will lead, teach, and answer any questions you have!

Horrible Customer Service! My family of four took a trip to Chattanooga just to go to this gym and we were treated so poorly! Due to the horrible treatment I received from Aaron all over a waiver I was setting up for my family I had to disappoint my children and leave without them being able to climb at all. Iβm new to climbing so donβt have anything to compare this gym to. I climb at both High Point locations in Chattanooga. The folks at the Appling street location were super helpful to me on choosing a good pair of shoes and harness to purchase and they had a great selection of equipment for sale. They also had free coffee :) the downtown location has a way better space for cardio and weightlifting, and more bouldering walls so I go there frequently to get a workout in along with climbing. Some of the staff at the downtown location come across as pretentious and like youβre bothering them, but it doesnβt affect my enjoyment of the facility.
Ex:
My friend left his phone at the downtown gym and called 20 minutes before they closed and the guy on the phone said βsorry weβre about to close you have to come tomorrowβ - we rushed down and got there 5 minutes before they closed and the dude came across as annoyed for us trying to retrieve our belongings while they were still open for a few more minutes.
But hey, even as a new climber I can see thereβs a bunch of climbing gym bros working here and they are clearly a lot cooler and way more experienced than me, so I donβt take it personally. I aspire to one day be a cool climbing gym bro like the staff here, so I train every day now and hope to even work here one day. Between both gyms itβs a 4/5 experience

Setting has really gone downhill for red tag climbs in particular. They frequently have large volumes in the way or under you (pretty dangerous, Iβve seen people get hurt). Pretty expensive pass given how long it takes to turn over the route setting. The kids are a nightmare without any guidance from coaches on etiquette. The lead area is cool, and I honestly think the bouldering gets too much slack, the routes are decent and for the size of the gym there is something to be said about quantity. The walls outside would be an amazing feature if they were set and didnt have so many spinners. Gym is in major need of a renovation. Starting to get old and dusty.
I think if there was a modern rope gym in the area they would quickly find the competition difficult. This place is a tourist attraction more so than a serious climbing gym.
One particular event that turned me off is the a coach decided to close about 1/2 of the lead area for the team only to have 1 or 2 kids on the wall. I approached him asking if we could climb since the rest of the lead area was packed and was told no. I went to the front desk and was informed that the coach was wrong and could not close the area to guests. So the coach just lied, rather than sharing the space.

What a wonderful rock climbing arena with very many different walls for various age and skill levels. Both adults and children alike seemed to enjoy the fun it has to offer. There is a room upstairs in which to be able to host a party. There is plenty of parking at the adjacent parking garage. They did validate our parking for a 2 dollar discount. The one drawback for me is that I am either using a walker or wheelchair for mobility. The most used way upstairs are stairs. That being said, there is a one person elevator one can use. But due to liablilties, you must have an employee unlock the elevator and ride with you up and/or down. All employees with whom I had interaction were pleasant and helpful. I feel this company takes safety very seriously as I saw nothing to indicate otherwise. If I weren't crippled at this juncture in my life, I would've felt safe trying to exercise the learning of a new skill here without hesitation except for perhaps my own inate fear. I highly recommend this specialized venue for an out of the ordinary birthday or any other party. Chattanooga is blessed having this in this beautiful town.

Took the whole family and had a blast! With gear and fees for a family of 5 itβll run you about $140.00. If you donβt go buy your own Gri-Gri to use for belaying you can buy stuff there but itβll cost extra. Worth the memberships they offer, thatβs the way we went the following weekend. $216 covers a family of 5 every month and gives you unlimited visits. You get a whole workout gym at the riverfront location. Between the workout equipment and the climbing walls themselves the membership is well worth it, given you live close enough to go enough

We had a great time at High Point. Staff was friendly and did a great job explaining the details to us. Great concept that we are able to climb all day for one purchased pass. My kids had an absolute blast and I feel it really has helped them with their confidence to conquer their fears.

I loved the place. I was in Chattanooga for the holidays and I decided to get some blood pumping. I immediately noticed it wasn't a place for tourists when I walked in. However, the staff was really kind and accommodating. I totally recommend it.

As an avid rock climber, I was really excited to visit Highpoint Climbing Gym, thinking it was going to be a chance for me to finally tackle El Capitan. Imagine my disappointment when I arrived and realized it was just a indoor climbing gym.
Now, don't get me wrong, the routes at Highpoint were certainly challenging and well-maintained. The staff were also friendly and helpful. But for me, there's just something missing when I'm climbing inside. I miss the feeling of being out in nature, with the sun on my face and the wind in my hair as I scale a massive rock face.
That being said, if you're just looking for a good indoor climbing option in the area, Highpoint is definitely worth checking out. The routes are varied and there's something for climbers of all abilities. But if you're looking for the same level of thrill and adventure that you can find at a place like Yosemite, you might want to look elsewhere.

We always have a great time climbing at Highpoint. The staff is great, the facility is clean and well-maintained, the routes are challenging, and the equipment is up to date. We always plan an afternoon of climbing anytime weβre in the area.

The routes are always changing and well maintained. The staff are always super chill and the general environment is rad. Also climbing gyms in general, and especially High Point is super welcoming for all kinds of people. They have routes for every skill and ability level.

Very unique gym. With a wall outside facing the street. A kid zone (all auto belays). And lots of auto belay around the gym. A boulder section and a lead wall. Very good for all-around skill levels. If there is any downside, the day pass is slightly more expensive than an average gym

Meh. Not the worst climbing gym I've been to but certainly not the best. I think it might be because it's in the middle of downtown with a lot of foot traffic but the environment inside feels more like a tourist attraction then a climbing gym. It's got more lazor tag vibes then practice climbing vibes.
Staff at the front desk was also pretty disappointing. I asked one of them about their membership and I was handed a pamphlet as the employee walked away to talk to friends. The pamphlet had the exact same information that I had already seen on their website. The only reason I was bothering to speak to someone was because I wanted clarification. But the only person to ask had just walked away. Guess I'll never know π€·

Had a good time even though it was our kids 1st experience at experience at that level rock climbing. Think. Orientation could have been e been slower and more direct. The rap seemed to just take it as a matter of fact and rush through it knowing that we were tourists and not gym members

Tried to call to book for a birthday party as the site would not allow me to, kept getting the run around for a week. Was told βweβre short staffed at the moment, can you call back to book?β Mind you I had given my date needed and they gave me the times available each time I called. Finally was transferred to book with someone for her to tell me βoh you have to book a weekend in advanceβ Advised that Iβd been calling for a week trying to book. No concern or empathy. Asked for a manager, she stated βtheyβre all helping guestsβ asked if she could take my name and number for someone to call me back. She said βno weβre short staffedβ Sent a message the website and received no response.

Lots of climbing opportunities. We had a kids birthday party there.
Lots of variety in climbing rooms. if you climb or ever want to try it out for fun, this is a great choice. The safety precautions are great and it has lots of levels.
As a kids party spot it was very nice.
The dedicated party room was fantastic for space, but did have some issues. Mainly the AC couldn't keep the room cool. It was set to 66 and the temperature was 78. A little warm. There were no paper towels for cleaning up, but there were rags.
We were warm but had fun.
One other note was that the staff were generally helpful, but the young man that gave the orientation walkthrough clearly had a hot date he was late for or something. He talked fast and low and was not a great representative. But we had fun despite him.
As a party spot I personally would not try this with kids younger than 6...and have a lot of adults to track things...it can be chaotic. But fun!!
There is a parking deck adjacent to the building. Very slow elevator... take the stairs.

We just left and it was a disappointment. The guy at the front desk (big curly hair) was rude and seemed annoyed by us. We drove here from GA to climb the outdoor wall. It was sprinkling a bit so I understand it was closed for a bit. We asked the girl who took us around and she said it would open back up soon just needed to dry. The sun came out and it got hot. We saw the front desk guy again and asked if it was open and he immediately was like "no" are barely even looked at us. The space itself is decent but the treatment by staff was horrible and made for a terrible experience.

Nice climbing options, everything you need for all level Climbers. Small shop for chalk and mech, some shoes, good rentals and vending machines targeted for recovery. Nice training sections for Climbers and a decent gym upstairs to get those gains. Good price which covers fun events brought by the gym, competing and the like. Nice crowd, good new friends too be made. Peace.

Didn't try anything other than bouldering, but the grades for the bouldering routes were very inconsistent which lead to some frustration. Most of the climbs were very difficult but were tagged as very low difficulties when compared to grades at other gyms. While some easier climbs were listed as a harder difficulty. Otherwise, itβs a cool place.

Dropped in for a day pass while my wife was doing the half Ironman. The staff is super friendly and informative. Sammy hooked me up with a fast safety briefing that was straight to the point and got me set up. The routes here are phenomenal and their route setters def know what they are doing. Iβm jealous this isnβt my normal climbing gym. I really loved that they also had a ton of auto belays so if you normally top rope but canβt bring a partner you can still top rope.
