I really enjoy Hotworx workouts. The heat is mentally stabilizing, the workouts are good and challenging, especially as you try to master the movements and go from one to the next.

This is poorly run. I froze my membership after getting pregnant last year. The girl on the phone told me I could freeze indefinitely until we were ready to start again. I had my baby in December and noticed last week that I have been charged every month since March. I called to speak to a manager two weeks ago with a promise I would get a call back. No one called me. I called today and got the owner or manager on the phone who promptly told me I could not freeze for longer than 3 months. She then proceeds to tell me it was frozen longer and that was fine but it could only be frozen 3 months. They will not refund me. She said they can’t refund. I myself have worked in gyms, and refunds are totally doable. I will NEVER give any money to this establishment again and I will make sure anyone I know NEVER gives this location any money. Terrible customer service.

Firstly, I love HOTWORX and swear by it to anyone I talk to. This review is strictly for the East Memphis - Poplar location.

An employee stuck his head into my sauna WITHOUT A MASK ON to tell me about a "corporate policy" that I had to wear a shirt in and out of the sauna. Meanwhile the man in the sauna DIRECTLY ACROSS FROM US was enjoying his workout shirtless. I reached for my shirt to put it on and the maskless employee starts asking about our membership WITH THE DOOR OPEN letting all of our hot air out.

When we got our stuff together to leave, the maskless employee was wandering around the lobby still maskless and chose not to respond when we informed him of our concerns.

If I could give this location 0 stars I would. My husband and I went to a class today 3/29. Went for a class and were by rudely interrupted while working out by a white male wearing HOTWORX gear. He was 50s age with black HOTWORX polo and camp hat with NO MASK. He opened the class door without his mask to speak in my husbands face telling him he had to put his shirt on. Across the class was another gentleman that did not have his shirt on and was not interrupted. He also asked if we had a membership questioning how we got in still WITHOUT A MASK. If he had an issue he could have addressed after the class. We decided to leave our class as he made us feel very uncomfortable & as we brought it to his attention he said he didn’t realize someone else didn’t have their shirt on. However, he did notice my husbands and made a spectacle of it. All he said when I spoke to him was OK repeatedly over me while I was speaking. Be careful of this man if you are there. Even with the city ordinance still in place to wear masks, he was brazen enough to speak to us in the room without one. I will send this to corporate too, hope it makes it to this man so he can realize & rectify his actions.
