There is no end to the benefit that I receive by being a member of Iron Tribe. The gym has brought joy back into my workout, where, as I used to bodybuilding, and the two hour daily slog of each workout was crushing to every aspect of my life. Now I have functional fitness and much greater flexibility, I have better control over each exercise, my form has improved, my sleep has improved, I’ve lost weight, and I’ve made some great friends! I’ve even gotten my son a membership! Long story short – Iron Tribe is a number one recommendation for anybody wanting to improve their fitness and find their TRIBE!

Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. All of the coaches are so encouraging and there’s a great team atmosphere at the gym. Despite being fairly new to weightlifting and pretty out of shape, the coaches still take their time to work with me, encourage me to push harder, and help me nail my form. All of the gym members too have been so so friendly. I’ve only been in three or four times but every time I’ve made a new friend and been cheered on by total strangers. 10/10 would recommend ITF to ANYONE looking to get in shape, no matter their skill level!

Iron Tribe is a culture of positive energy. Workouts are scaled to your ability level, which allows you to participate and see results while also setting goals to achieve more complex movements. Iron Tribe does not just offer their clients a gym; they offer an entire fitness experience. The coaches, Brittany, Logan, Josh & Levi encourage me to my very limits, and I'm grateful to them for that. They are are highly trained and provide excellent feedback for safety, technique, and form. They direct us in the correct ways to exercise with tactics that are more motivating than intimidating. I hadn't exercised for literal years before coming here, and despite it's high intensity, they are very good at gradually building you into the program they've developed. I couldn't be happier with my experience here. The only hesitation mark is the price. 250 bucks a month gets you a lot, but I get that it also is prohibitively expensive. Then again, I could choose to spend the money on my health now or be forced to do it later. What are you waiting for?

Awesome workout and awesome coaches. They are always moving around checking on your form, correcting it when necessary, encouraging when it's good. They give balanced workouts hitting 2-3 areas each time - arms, legs, back, core, chest. And there is a cardio component on almost all days. Even though workouts are short (45 minutes), you get a lot done in that short time. They also teach about good nutrition. More expensive than "joining a gym," but very much worth it in my opinion! If you just want to try it, do the 1-month introductory 101 Class.

I just completed the 21 day Kickstart program and I highly recommend it for beginners or experienced athletes alike! The coaches are great at explaining the movements with safety through proper movement being the priority. The workouts slowly ramp up which helps prime your body to do more.The nutrition guide is very straightforward and graphically depicted to be easy to follow with everything laid out that you can eat. I find so much value in the InBody scan that not only tells you your weight, but also how much water, muscle, and fat you have as well. The environment is positive and team-oriented, the coaches really take the time to get to know you and answer any questions and I really enjoyed this as the most positive part of my day.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Definitely a 5 star experience! I started in June of 2019, 50 years old, 244 lbs, 34.4% body fat and on the verge of blood pressure medication. I couldn’t have been more intimidated to join a gym, but I felt like it was that or continue down the road I was on to my own detriment. It’s 7 months later and I weighed in this morning at 207 lbs. I’m 17.1% body fat and I have very normal blood pressure. Last night I did 5 sets of 6 pull ups. I couldn’t do one pull up 7 months ago. I owe it all to Iron Tribe. The workouts are awesome, even if you are just starting and intimidated like I was. Everything is scalable to your level at the time. The coaches are absolutely top notch. They make you feel welcome. They instruct you in ways that make you understand how much they care about you and your progress. The other members have become a second family, always encouraging each other and supporting each other. I used to get most of my strength and conditioning via outdoor recreation and then I moved to Memphis - which sadly doesn't offer much outdoor recreation. Iron Tribe Fitness Six Week Challenge is a game changer. This was the motivation I needed to start my journey towards a healthier lifestyle. I began my first workout with Iron Tribe on April 1, 2019. Six weeks later, I was down 20 lbs (14.3 lbs of body fat mass).
My experience has been great!! The workouts are way more interesting than a normal gym. There’s a new challenge everyday. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, highly motivated, very encouraging, and great people to be around. The vibe at Iron Tribe is awesome.

I just completed the Iron Tribe Germantown 6-week Challenge. Overall, the experience was motivating. The facility is like other CrossFit boxes and the most workouts were challenging yet beneficial. I only came across two workouts that was so complex (for a newbie) the workout itself was pointless for me. The building isn't huge. But that doesn't matter much since they cap each class at a max attendance and overcrowding isn't really an issue. Also, they make excellent use of outdoor space! Most of my interactions with the coaches was positive. Coach Jess, Coach Nate and Coach Josh are all awesome! Other than the coaches the next best PRO is access to the travel workouts. Really really appreciated those! Also, if accountability is an issue for you they have an APP for that lol. No, really they do. And it works!
Why is this not a 5 star review? Honestly, it's just so darn pricey! In full transparency I did agree to a follow on membership plan. However, I definitely will not be missing classes considering the investment! And speaking of the investment... I want to be able to get max benefits from each class I show up to. If there are movements I cannot complete it's just frustrating and I feel like my time and money was not well spent, ugh.
Other than that, it's definitely worth trying to see if the team and plan is right for you. If you are new to crossfit, they explain everything and you will feel safe and confident.

"Nothing in life is free," and that includes the Iron Tribe Fitness 6 Week Challenge. I found out about the challenge on Facebook through a video that advertised the challenge as "free." However, when I went to meet the manager and learn more about the challenge, I was casually told that there was a $499 payment/"deposit" in order to motivate us. I won't lie, it definitely motivated me. But, I found it a bit underhanded based on how the program was presented in the advertisement. Another important note about the cost of this challenge is that there is a payment option rather than the lump sum of $499. However, that option is 3 payments of $185 for a total of $555 for the payment/deposit. These prices do not include the 9.25% Membership Tax (which is not included in the refund). Even though I was a bit bothered by the way that the financial commitment was presented, I still chose to continue with the challenge because I knew that I could benefit from such a program. And that, I did. I was able to exceed the body transformation goal. I also redeveloped some healthy habits.
The nutrition plan probably helped me achieve the goal the most. But, that is not to discount the quality of the exercise program, and it's most important component: the coaches. The coaches were, by far, the most amazing part of this challenge!! I felt that they were very understanding and encouraging. If you can afford this financial commitment, the program works if you commit to it!

I enjoyed my time with the Tribe while participating in the 6 week challenge. The workouts really work you and the coaches are great at scaling movements so that they work for any fitness level. I was unable to join because the membership cost too much for my personal budget right now, but otherwise I would have have definitely joined. The group setting and creative workouts helps me push myself and adds a little bit of spice to an otherwise boring, normal gym workout!!

Iron Tribe Fitness is a decent place and similar to cross fit facilities. Most of the coaches seem nice and encouraging. They offer a degree of meal planning and diet resources but I cannot testify as to how in depth that goes since I only participated in a 6 week challenge. Classes are in a group setting which I did enjoy but you are limited to what is being worked on in that class. So this would not be like a traditional gym where you work on muscle groups of your choosing. The main drawback for me was the class schedules. They do have early morning classes but no late evening classes and limited weekends as they are only open half the day on Saturday and closed Sunday.

Outstanding experience and community of people. During my initial six week challenge my baseline time went from 21 minutes to 11:30. and I lost over 10 lbs of body fat. I have more energy throughout the day and some of my old clothes fit again.
Having trained at elite levels in the past I was very skeptical when I first walked in the door. I found the workouts are fun, intense, quick, and effective and I soon found myself looking forward to my workout at the end of the day.

Joining Iron Tribe is one of the best decisions I have made! It took about 6 months of listening to my husband Justin talk about how I would love it before I decided to give it a try. I was completely intimidated because I had never touched a barbell before and couldn’t do many of the more technical moves. Everyone at Iron Tribe Germantown was so encouraging and the coaches especially made me feel at ease. They were great at scaling or modifying movements for me when needed. I have lost body fat and gained strength and a love for dropping a heavy barbell:). I love always setting new personal goals and working toward improving myself. After my car wreck a few years ago it has been very hard for me to get back in the gym, as I can't always do what I used to. The whole process used to get me frustrated and I would start to feel defeated however the coaches at Iron Tribe are very motivating and encouraging! Welcoming environment to train Olympic weightlifting and metabolic conditioning. Coaches are encouraging and are able to scale work outs to your fitness level. There are a very few open gym times and the training is a bit inflexible as far as programming but a great starting platform for most.

There is a lot of affirmation and confirmation I could give, and if there was enough space and time, I could probably sell you on it. I am in better shape than I have been in years, and it is not the main reason I do it. I keep coming back for the community with the other athletes and coaches and for a space where I can practice healthier habits in how I exercise by slowing down, surrendering to a process, and experiencing gradual and sustainable change. There are easy days and hard days and days between. I have allowed myself to be limited and to ask for help. The lessons learned translate into all areas of my life, and the physical cannot be separated from the emotional and spiritual. It is more than a work out. It is also really fun.

I started the Iron Tribe workout challenge just after the new year and it ends next week. I love a challenge and I have really enjoyed this challenge. The trainers are all amazing and well trained in body mechanics and nutrition. The workouts are all challenging and the trainers are so encouraging. I've been a member at ITF Germantown for just over a year. I'd highly recommend anyone looking to break out of the same old gym routine to give it a try. Especially for those on a tight time schedule. They offer plenty of classes throughout the day. You can workout for strength or cardio, but either offers an excellent mix of both. The app is great for scheduling and keeping track of results. The workouts can be modified(scaled) to any fitness level so no need to worry about where you are, just focus on where you want to go. They also emphasis diet, and they will tell you, "You can't outwork a bad diet". The coaches are friendly, motivating, encouraging and want you to get the best out of every workout. My wife and I where invited to join IronTribe at the beginning of the year as part of their fitnes challenge. The excellent trainers got us to buy into their exercise and diet programs. The results have been amazing! Not Just in weight loss but in a big drop in my % of body fat. The staff is very encouraging to all levels of ability and fitness levels. I have been a member of ITF for a year and a half. When I began I was not confident in learning movements with barbells or any other type of weights but Iron Tribe gave me a safe space during their month long introductory classes to learn these movements and I never felt insecure or embarrassed. A year and a half in, I've developed relationships with coaches and other gym members. I enjoy the accountability of finishing a work out and being able to see noticeable improvements in the strength and endurance.

I can tell you from the last month that I have been there, I have really seen results! Plus I really enjoy going over the motions and technique in warm up before the work outs. Having been a runner for as long as I can remember, I always thought I was in good shape. That is, until I joined ITF in October 2016 and realized how much I had been focused on my legs and cardio while neglecting other muscle groups. ITF provides a fun, challenging full-body workout with small class sizes. The coaches know the right balance of when to push versus when to encourage, and they really make the gym feel like a second family. Over this journey I’ve increased my metabolism and gained muscle definition/ strength. I participated in the St Jude Half Marathon this past December and set a new PR, shaving off 6 minutes from my previous best time all with minimal long distance training. I’ve never felt better or been more fit than I am now, and it’s all thanks to ITF! I love it and would highly recommend it! 3, 2, 1 TRIBE!

A few months ago I had to have two nerve blocks because of some herniated disks in my back. I didn’t think I would be able to do much athletic again without surgery. After some excellent physical therapy with Cole Dickerson I’ve had the ability and opportunity to do a 6 week fitness challenge at Iron Tribe Germantown. It’s been a great experience with coaches who challenge and encourage you along the way. It’s great to just show up and know that I can knock out a quick workout that leaves me exhausted and not injured. Thankful for the experience and would recommend it highly to anyone considering group fitness or trying to get back in shape or who likes not being a weak little pansy who can’t do anything.

Rich Carter got in touch with me 3 or so weeks ago to see if I would know anyone who might be interested in doing a 6-week challenge at Iron Tribe. At the time, I thought I could find some folks for him, but ended up thinking "wait, this would be fun for me to do too". So I joined him.
So far, I can see why people say good things about Iron Tribe. It's a solid community of individuals with diverse backgrounds and reasons for being in the gym at 5:30 in the morning. The coaches are friendly and the feedback is helpful. The workouts are fun too and they have helped me work on some of my personal weaknesses (admission: I tend to do more squats and deadlifts instead of pressing movements...) but I still get to have fun with what I would consider my strengths. It's a good variation.
I love a good technique cue and Robert Dycus dropped one on me at one of the first workouts. It was golden. My glutes and hamstrings thank you sir.
Scheduling to be at a class within an app has some interesting psychological advantages too. It can automatically put the class in your calendar after signing up and will come with a standard reminder. You've probably heard how scheduling a block of time in your work calendar helps you stay on track. Every time I pull up the calendar, I have a gentle reminder of an area in my life I want to get better at. You get to see who else has signed up for that class as well, further committing you with some healthy peer pressure.

The coaches are phenomenal! They are very knowledgeable and good at adapting exercises (both as someone new to certain movements as well as someone with injury problems). The gym is a nice simple set up. Workouts are different each day keeping things fresh. Easy going vibe. Great place to work hard but also have fun while you work out. Probably my favorite thing besides the coaches themselves is that it feels like a safe place to learn and grow and not feel bad about yourself for what you can't do at the beginning!
