ATTENTION GYM JUNKIES!!!!
I recently experienced issues with my membership payment due to a compromised card. After updating my payment information, the automatic withdrawal was interrupted twice. I promptly contacted the club to address past-due charges and to request a waiver of the late fees given the circumstances. Brianna advised that the manager had declined the waiver because the issue had occurred previously. I requested to speak with the manager, but was told she was busy and would call me back—and I never received a return call.

This experience has left me feeling that the club does not value its members’ business or its members’ time. I am now reconsidering my affiliation with this gym and am exploring other options that prioritize member service and reliability.

This review is from someone that was a member on day one when this gym opened and left after two years. I rejoined earlier this year as some equipment in my home gym broke. I have spent a lot of time in this gym and a few other LA Fitness locations in the area. This review is from someone who usually is at the gym on the weekdays between 9am and 4pm and on the weekends between 9am and 1pm.

Pros: This gym is never really crowded so if you like having space, you usually can get it here. They recently took out the basketball court and added even more weight lifting space so there is plenty of space for weight lifters. When I am on cardio machines, I never really have people to the left and right of me, there is always enough space. The pool and spa are also never really used so it is common to have those things to yourself. There's a lot to take advantage of here so for the price point, you get your money's worth.

Cons: This gym frustrates me because many of its cons have been here since day one and did not change when I rejoined. This gym is not clean. They do not clean machines or the locker room well and I rarely see staff doing cleaning. The upstairs sanitation wipes station is frequently empty and no one refills it (I have had to flag staff several times). 90% of the folks that use the gym do not clean machines before or after using it so it falls on the staff to clean and they aren't doing it enough. In a post-covid world, you would think gyms would prioritize cleanliness but not here. The other locations do a much better job at this.

Another gripe I have are the machines. Many are beat up and old. The TV channels on the cardio machines either do not work or don't work well. You either have HGTV, ESPN 30, or USA.

Overall, if you score a good member rate, I'd give it a shot but definitely bring your own wipes and entertainment while on the cardio machines.

The gym has its pros and cons. The pros consist of : They have lots of equipment. Love, the fact that they have a Sauna. Everybody is nice and helpful. The cons consist of: Not enough cleaning stations to clean equipment off with, and not enough security. My car got broken into when I was there And apparently it has been a trend with this gym in different locations. I feel like they should spend the money to have somebody consistently there. I see Security there occasionally, but not consistently and definitely not When my car got broken into.

Great quality new gym with good equipment. However, they have a major problem of people leaving weight plates on bars and machines all over the gym on every machine, squat rack, and bench presses. I spent half an hour putting all the weight plates on the stands, just to watch people leave plates on machines and bars all around me. It reminds me of a bathroom where people piss all over the floors and toilet seats. Have some common courtesy for people and place the weight plates on the racks!

I’ve been coming to this gym for 4 years. It has seen better days. I appreciate the amount of equipment and they are kept in working condition. The gym is not regularly vacuumed or swept. The sauna is also not clean, so I avoid sitting down. Recently the gym sound system was updated and all they do is loudly play outdated pop music that failed to chart. When asked if they could turn down the volume I was told they are unable to and there was no manager available. Luckily the break ins to cars have decreased because the security guard actually drives around. Kudos to them for that.

My truck has been broken into twice and the window busted out twice and the company hasn't try too reimburse me for any of my property damage and it is a shame for this company not to have a stationary security guard on duty at all times. I'm not sure who it is or why it is but this Polo Grounds facility customer service is really bad. I love to play basketball and recently moved here so I'm trying to find a good gym to go to. Upon calling and inquiring about their facility and their court hours, I had the phone hung up in my face multiple times. I tried to call back and they would pick up and hang up the phone without saying anything. I would hate to be a member of this facility and give any of my money to this place. This is terrible and I hope it is resolved in the future.

Aqua Fit with Hershel is the BEST Aqua Fit class in the greater Memphis area! I have followed Hershel since before the pandemic when he also had a class at the Lakeland club. I went to his classes last summer at the Ridgeway Club. Unfortunately, this summer he isn't at either of those locations. As a result, I tried an instructor at Lakeland and Bartlett, but I was HIGHLY disappointed. Consequently, I made the drive to Polo Grounds yesterday (I Iive on the opposite side of town, 4 minutes from the Bartlett club), and I was VERY pleased like always. I slept like a baby last nigh!

I would like to suggest that other Aqua Fit instructors attend Hershel's classes and see what makes them so special.

I also like that this club has a sauna and hot tub.

I joined this gym specifically for the indoor basketball court. I assumed that with so much space being dedicated to that amenity they would at least attempt to keep it open. However, durning business hours the basketball court is nearly always closed for no perceivable reason. When I ask management I can never get a straight answer. Have visited this location numerous times and have always been worried about the way they clean the gym. One guy was using stainless steel cleaner for the water fountain and was spraying it all over the part where the warmer comes out. Now recently this other was using a LEAF! BLOWER inside the gym blowing dust and trash everywhere as if people weren’t inside working out. That’s very unsanitary for both tactics. I will be reporting as the leaf blower has cause me to have a bad allergic reaction and possible other complications.

The bathroom was unclean. The staff didn't speak to me on the way in or out. They didn't even look at me. The staff doesn't enforce patrons to rack their weight. Plates and dumbbells were scattered everywhere from upstairs to downstairs. Members with headphones on left their common sense at home and walked within inches of me while I'm working out so I had to stop; otherwise, I would have hit them. Horrible experience. There's no reason to come back to this location.

This is more than a health spa and fitness center it's a lifestyle. From the beginning I decided to go on my Health Journey I left Lifetime and Planet fitness and I bought a Full membership with Esoprta and because I paid for the whole year upfront I got an additional year for Free - and another year just half off so 36 months for $499 which when you do the math $24 per month you already see where I'm going with this . Now you cannot put a price on your Health or where you train - I use to go to lifetime but they make it impossible for other people to come life family and friends have to have a membership it's life $181 for me and my family and the gym is never open for them to.play basketball so it.was a waste - planet fitness although they are the least expensive - there is no motivation to go - Trainers look like they need a trainer ??? Also there gym is always crowded, and ditty and I never could get into a groove plus they don't have sports for my boys - so Esporta Fitness was the best choice hands down . They have Gym , Pool, sauna, steamroom , hottub- upstairs downstairs facility - cycle room - Cross fit training course, dance classes and room with big mirrors - the trainers are fit and very knowledgeable about the body and what it takes to reach your fitness goal . I have lost 30 lbs since joining the gym , I needed to lose 50lbs to be at a great weight for my body so I am more than halfway to my goal . I am grateful for this place and I look forward to doing some business with Esporta Fitness .

I wanted to try it for one month and told that specifically to the guy that came to talk to me. He said that wasn’t possible and that the shorter package was 6-month. And he didn’t specified that Personal training wasn’t included in the already expensive package and while talking he included all that in one packed and after I paid he told me to comeback tomorrow. I did comeback tomorrow and he started to train me and then did my plan and all just to comeback at me trying to charge me for the personal training for the future 6months.

ROBBERY: Be careful Women about leaving important items in your car. Women are being Targeted and Robbed in broad day light on LA Fitness Parking Lot. Men and Women leaving your personal items at night are being robbed too. LA Fitness has cameras but they do not work. That is the reason for a 3 star!
