Great team at front desk and membership services. This club has regressed substantially. Take any machine and look up at the ceiling grid or the air duct to see layers of dust. Many machines visibly were not cleaned in ages. Bathrooms filthy day after day. I have read previous reviews about cleanliness and replies from the Gym that the problem has been fixed. That is NOT true.
the current general manager, Samantha, is unbelievably RUDE with very limited management skills. If she thinks she can yell at clients, she needs to understand that anyone can yell too. I have been running multiple businesses of my own in the greater Memphis area for the past 30+ years, and was not hoping to see my Gym go to this low. Where is the corporate from this MESS?
I guess It's time to say goodbye.

The gym is cool but the receptionist was being rude and wasn’t welcoming at all talks to you like your a kid was nice at all but turns around to greet other gym goers also the gym has alot of equipment and amenities but the second floor smells really bad like sweat and really old sweat the only thing that makes me not want to come anymore was how I was treated at the front desk

I love the size of this center and the variety of equipment options, but why does the music need to be so loud. At least 90% of those working out have their own headsets yet there is weird music playing at the otherwise beautiful outdoor pool all the time. Inside there is also music blaring THEN, on top of what is already playing, when deep base of GTX starts I can feel my lungs spasm. Music is nice but loud music does not promote a better workout, espectially if it's not music that is motivating to you. Please let me work out in peace to my own music.

My family has held a membership at this gym for about 6 years. While everything has not always been wonderful, the staff has always been friendly, helpful and courteous. Even when a screw up was my fault, the staff worked to help.

As far as the facilities go, this is the best in this area. The training staff is friendly and approachable and the equipment is kept clean and in good order. About a year ago, the facility increased its weight lifting area and did an excellent job. The pool is always a big hit in the summer.

We have been very pleased with our membership.

***UPDATE September 3, 2025***

My membership has now passed 15 years and the gym seems to be regressing. Small group classes are the core of my workout plan. I pay extra for it, but it does help. However, the club has had 0 consistency in its scheduling of these classes. If you can’t get to the gym by 5:30 pm (or at 5:30 am), there are no classes for you. If you work for a living and don’t get off work until 5:00 pm, there is no way to get there consistently for a workout that starts at 5:30 pm. I am beyond disappointed in this club’s handling of its scheduling. If it weren’t for the individual front line workers, I would probably drop the rating more.

No outdoor swim for families before 4 during the week and Sunday. So if you have kids you get two days outside! Other locations allow morning all week for families which is right for as much as it costs! Also this location makes some shockingly questionable hires to work in the daycare.. not all of them but enough that I’m not comfortable.. imagine the last archetypes you’d imagine leaving your kids with and they’ve hired him. There spa hires also suck for the most part. They are incompetent, forget appointments or aggressive.

Amenities we pay for CLOSED Again. Outdoor pool slides… “ yeah we just don’t have enough lifeguards. Most of them went back to college and so now we’re trying to manage with our high school lifeguards and who we have left.” Ahh, so you mismanage your staffing level, intentionally, repeatedly, summer after summer, yet there are no reductions in membership fees to account for the lack of amenities… It’s not your member’s problem that you choose to pay low wages to high school and college kids, which increases your profit margin, instead of paying the wage that is required to hire employees to keep your amenities open full-time.

I joined a few months ago and while I love the gym itself, the cleanliness (or lack of it) is a huge problem. Machines are visibly dirty, like they haven't been wiped in ages. Several times I've gone into the bathroom only to find no toilet paper or paper towels, and counters left grimy. The pool? Same story, especially on weekends.

This is supposed to be a luxury gym, yet it's being run like a cut-rate chain. Actually, I've seen MUCH cleaner at Planet Fitness. Either they don't have enough staff, don't pay them well, or don't train them properly, whatever the reason, the result is obvious. Dirt everywhere. A luxury gym should be spotless. Sparkling. Instead, it feels mismanaged to me.

What's worse, they don't seem to listen to feedback. I'm sure someone will post a canned response here about how they "value member concerns," but if the gym actually cared, it would show in the cleaning. There are no better options around here so I will continue to go, but this bothers me a lot and I would tell anyone else before they joined.

I had high expectations when I booked a haircut at the LifeTime Spa in Collierville, anticipating a professional and relaxing experience. Unfortunately, the service fell short in several key areas.

To begin with, the stylist used a “convenient” handheld hair dryer that seemed more like a personal, travel-friendly device than a salon-grade tool. It was extremely loud, dried my hair inefficiently, and gave the impression of cutting corners rather than delivering the quality one would expect from a premium spa service.

Additionally, the stylist’s long nails repeatedly scraped my scalp during the process, making the experience uncomfortable and far from relaxing. It felt as though little consideration was given to customer comfort or professionalism throughout the appointment.

Overall, I left disappointed and will not be returning to spa. I expected better attention to detail and a more customer-focused approach from a service associated with a reputable brand like LifeTime.

This gym is clean and staff is nice. None the less, if you are a young female I do not recommend it. I had to cancel my membership after having a mid aged, short, hispanic/asian guy approach me & my friends while working out various times. The gym should be a safe place for any female to go to regardless of your age. It is unacceptable for a male you do not know to come behind you while you are doing squats or other exercise's and get close to you. It did not happen to only my friends and I but any female around the age of 16-35 please be alarmed. He usually wears dark color clothing, and will come and approach you at any area of the gym. After my friend nicely told him to please leave her alone because he is a creep and gets all in your personal space he got upset. He will ask you to follow him on his social media Ale* M******This type of behavior should not be allowed at a gym especially a family friendly gym. A gym should be a safe place for any female to workout without being approached and tried to get touched by creeps such as this. I am not sure why this man is still allowed in the gym, it would be obvious that the gym would dismiss him and cancel his membership. It did not just happen once to us, it happened at least 5 times with just that individual. We saw that the individual did not just approach us, but will specifically target any female that is alone without a male. I am sure the gym is aware because you can see how uncomfortable each female gets when he approaches them. Other members are nice, but this individual definitely lowers the safety of this gym. My friend was approached by him this week again! She will also be canceling her membership at lifetime amongst other friends. Take your money to a place that cares about your safety!

This LifeTime is by far the dirtiest gym I've seen. Very very few people wipe anything down after use. Y'all are gross. The whole place in general is pretty dusty and dirty. The cleaning crew isn't cleaning the machines in general it appears. Other than the cleanliness issue, which should be a top priority at any gym, the employees are nice and the variety of equipment is pretty good. Some of the machines could use a refresh of the vinyl.

Perspective as a new member: Overall, they have a good selection of equipment. However, it needs to be better maintained and cleaned more often. There is no reason for the the main walkways and locker rooms to muddy for days in a row (even a few hours is unacceptable). My fav shoes that are entirely indoor are ruined. Never happend at my way less expensive previous gym. Also, there is no reason for toilets to not flush (is there a system for employees to report?). As someone who has worked in the hotel management business, the problem lies with management not making sure employees do their job! I will give it another week to see if this fixed. If not, I will reach out to corporate about this.

This is by far the cleanest, most professional, and well-run Life Time Fitness I’ve visited outside of the Scottsdale, AZ area. The women’s locker room is immaculate—something I really prioritize in a gym I plan to spend a lot of time in. The personal trainers are top-notch; I had the pleasure (and the pain!) of powering through some challenging workouts with Roman. The equipment is well maintained and spotless, and the staff is always friendly. I haven’t even made it to the pool yet, and I’m already impressed. The café also serves up some seriously delicious smoothies. This location definitely sets the bar—or even exceeds it.

Nice gym, nice classes but they up and stopped basketball along with quietly raising their rates without any notice mid year. Then lied saying I canceled two days into a new month and therefore was charged a pro rated fee of $6. I canceled an entire 30 days before, sent an email thru the app (which they don't keep record of in the app so you can't go back and see the date you sent it) and stopped by the front desk to confirm. If $6 isn't a "big deal" then let them pay it and refund my money. Had been a long time member but they have really changed for the worst.

Their daycare hours are garbage. They close from 12:30- 4pm every weekday. Making it impossible to go right before or after school. They close at 12:30pm of Fridays and never reopen. They are also closed on Sundays. It feels like they don't want moms to be there. Doesn't matter if your gym is nice if you cant access it for 4 peak hours of the day. Its also overrun by pickleball & the elderly. Don't waste your money!

I’ve been a member of this gym for about 5 years now & I absolutely love it here! I was a new mom when I joined & my son has also loved coming with me throughout the years. The staff also really helped me acclimate him to not being scared about being left in kids care because he had never been to childcare before- he was under a year old when we joined. The team gave me ideas on how & when to bring him to play- suggesting maybe we swim together first then come play or vise versa- Inside the women’s locker room I often feel like I’m having a full on spa day when I unwind in the steam room & sauna. I love that all of the weights & workout areas are upstairs & they have so many classes to choose from.
The lifeguards on duty (indoor or outdoor) are always observant & seem very well trained. The staff is always friendly & anytime I’ve ever had any issues with online app support they are fast & very communicative.
Kudos to the whole lifetime Collierville team! We love it here & thank you to everyone!

What are you waiting for? This gym feels like an oasis. It has EVERYTHING my family of four needs! My four year old loves the gymnastics class and my two year old had such a great time playing in the children’s area. They don’t just create a nursery but there are so many classes for kids to build skills from tumbling, ballet, reading, etc. today my husband made a craft and learned about planet earth. It was so comforting to know that my husband and I could work out without worrying about their safety. The security measures in place are A1!
The food is great, the workout classes are challenging, the STEM room is so relaxing and they even have a restaurant and spa?! 10 stars! Definitely recommend!

Arrived at Lifetime Fitness at 7:30 a.m. for an 8 a.m. class, only to find the doors locked along with other waiting members. Despite the advertised 5 a.m. opening time, the gym was inaccessible, causing significant inconvenience. For the high fees we pay, it's disheartening that they can't maintain their schedule. Raises doubts about their commitment to customer satisfaction. Wondering if the Better Business Bureau should be alerted to such inconsistencies.

Lifeguard had a real nasty attitude. It was our first time there, and no one notified us upon walking in that our baby’s flotation device was not allowed. But once we were in the water, none of the other lifeguards said anything until this one lady lifeguard came shouting at us like we were criminals. She could’ve been nicer about it, but she proceeded to give us a bright pink life vest for our baby boy like she was making fun of us. Never again wasting money on this place.

They took down one of the basketball courts for pickle ball. Okay fine I understand it’s a growing sport, whatever. Now taking down the second and final basketball court? Some of us only use the membership to come and play basketball here. It’s so unfair and unethical. Didn’t give anyone a choice, no vote, etc. Especially when the pickle ball court remains empty over half the time during the day. Makes you wonder what the real motivation to remove the courts was🤔

So this location made the decision to become a "pickleball" facility and used skewed metrics to justify replacing both basketball courts by 1/4/2023. I've been a member of Lifetime for 5 years now and this is effectively the last straw for me. By removing the only location where you can spend time with your children outside of the pool, and the only place where children from 10-20 can practice a variety of sports you have killed the "family" gym. If I wanted to be a member of a racket club, I would have joined a racket club... not Lifetime.

The "fastest growing sport" is growing quickly because the established number of players (~4.6M) is far lower than the established number of players of major institutional sports (Basketball 26M).

The facility is amazing, but $40 for a day pass is almost criminal. "Oh, but the amenities we offer are worth that!" If those "amenities," several of which generate revenue, aren't being used then why would the absurd charge be levied? Lastly, the day after giving my password to this facility the email, that I use for almost nothing else was found on the dark web and my tax service notified me. My fiancé called and inquired about bball hours today, people said the courts was open. He gets there, and asks the front desk, who again assured him the bball courts are open. Then he goes and they’re playing pickle ball ??? Like it would be different if this was LA Fitness and were paying $60 but we pay over $100 more than that. We should get top tier service and so far the staff has been extremely disappointing. Educate yourself or find someone who knows the answer.

I had to cancel my membership they didn’t let me know that they was changing the court to pickle ball only. The reason being they want new older members to bring in money so they said we don’t care what the current members think.I was paying over 300 dollars for my family to not even be considered in this discussion. They way to try to fix was have over 50 people on one court then push the time to use the courts to 8pm when I’m at home with my kids . Hi Mr. Bagram Arkadia, pickle ball should have a few full days and basketball should have a few full days. That's ridiculous. Not cool at all. Seems like this fitness center is a custom to a certain race and age. A lot of kids can't enjoy the facilty because of this and on top of that they have camp in the day time which takes up the gym as well. Seems racist if you ask me.May be on the news in few days if this keep up. People pay their money and would like to enjoy the facility as well. Love the facility but this is very wrong.

I used a guess pass to check this place out. If you've ever been to a gym you have heard about lifetime. They are the theme parks of fitness. Lots of every machine you've ever heard of. Bikes, stair climbers, treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, cable machines, plate stands, pilates stations, and that's just the first glance.

There are an endless list of group classes for cycling and dance (zumba type) and other fitness groups. Personal trainers, apps structured for your personal fitness, water, towels...you get the idea. Oh don't forget the giant pool outside, it's past the other indoor pool.

Great gym. Lots of people coming and going but lots of space to spread out. Not the cheapest but you pay for all the perks. Great gym.

Not all fitness centers are for all people. Life Time is great because of the wide diversity of exercise options they have. For swimmers, it is unmatched with any other facility: Only the YMCA comes close. But if you are heavy into weight lifting, Life Time may not be the best match for you. They have all of the needed equipment but there are not as many benches and dumbbells as there are in centers like Esporta Fitness, which also has a wider range of dumbbell weight increments. Of course, Esporta Fitness has a very limited swimming facility so your choice of fitness centers all depends on what you are looking for.

Great gym but a terrible experience with one of the workers. He was one of the most rude guys I’ve ever met. Please work on controlling your workers at the desk. He made me not want to come back here. I will now be switching gyms.

If i could give it a 0 I would. This was the most overpriced gym that I have ever been to. The staff is terrible and nothing at the gym is worrh $90 bucks a month. Get a membership at Esporta/LA Fitness or Planet Fitness and save yourself $70 - $80 a month.

Steam sauna wasn't working. Considering how much use it gets, it will have problems from time to time.

Been a member here for a few years now. Very impressed how they have handled COVID related issues. Very professional, great trainers, very welcoming staff. Very helpful. Highly recommend this gym!

The club will basically screw you over to steal your money. I called to cancel in November because my mother had a medical emergency and I had to go and take care of her. The person that I talk to you on the phone said that they would cancel my membership, however I’m still being charged in January. I called corporate to resolve the situation, they said that because there’s no evidence of me canceling they’re still going to make me pay the membership dues from the several months when I was taking care of my sick mother.

Love this gym and the variety of classes and equipment. However some of their stuff is not well maintained and some of their policies are ridiculous. Such as their guest pass policy. The fact you can not use your passes the way you choose is annoying. We have friends and family who come into town so we would like to let them use passes. But you can only bring the same guest once every 60 days. Also their hour need to go back to 24 hours or they need to adjust their rates accordingly.

This place is really a bang for your bucks! A two story gym with several options for everyone. I am a class girl so the variety helps me try different things. Also, there are great personal trainers and programs depending on your goals.

Great gym, really love the classes and workout space. No longer 24 hours but I don't blame them. Staff is friendly and care about the facility and guests. Updated and edited: pool is much cleaner and seems to be maintained better. Amenities are great, childcare center for members, spa services and cafe with good tasty and healthy food.

Discomfort. No connectivity between front desk and swim center. No connectivity between swim trainers and swim center. Need to explain the same thing to everyone there to make them connected. Not getting relaxed there but getting stressed there!! They are doing the same what is requested NOT to be done. They promise and forget. It looks luxurious but makes me tired with the unprofessional management especially at the swim center. Not welcoming!!

Did the introduction tour. Amazing place with anything and everything fitness. A bit pricey at $159 a month, but apparently worth it if you can swing it.

The place is amazing! I believe it's super expensive tho. because I only use the suna and pool (even though we have 1😂) and the classes I'd love to try mostly happen in the day. But the staff is super friendly and if you're an exercise person like my sister then you'll love it. Only down side bedsides the price is that it doesn't have a tennis court. Major number for me😟

So, I am not a fan of gyms after going to many. However, Life Time is excellent so far.

The facility is fantastic, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the price is reasonable given what is available to you.

Recently, visited the Collierville, TN location on a guest pass. The facility has one upper floor for cardio & weight training, which was extremely overcrowded for my personal perference. The air quality was poor and did not neutralize the stench of diverse odors. I was apprehensive to use weight equipment, since I didn't observe anyone cleaning the equipment after use. Hopefully, I didn't contract a skin fungus or worse. Not impressed to workout in a place like "Grand Central Station."
