The old Chicago (band) song, “Feeling stronger every day” is my new motto. I retired from the US Navy 15 years ago and while I haven’t totally let myself go to seed, I haven’t been maintaining muscle mass. I’ve been being trained by David M. for a few months and am regaining my strength. David exercises the right balance of pushing me but not hurting me…form matters, and David keeps me training the right way.

Moving several times in the past few years made it extremely hard to find a gym home. I was extremely nervous to get back into the gym after taking so much time off. The community created at MoonWalk isn't like any other gym I have experienced. This community supports people of all skill level and creates a family like atmosphere. Since beginning my journey at Moonwalk, Max and David have been extremely helpful in ensuring that I am lifting safely, always correcting improper form. They have provided me with the material and education needed to meet my goals, and since starting in February have helped me decrease my fat and increase my muscle mass. There are several perks that Moonwalk offers for no extra cost that most gyms do not, including having a sauna and having the tools needed to do body scans to track fitness results. Max is super knowledgeable about nutrition and is great at giving beneficial pointers during workouts and lifts and David is like a body muscle encyclopedia, always explaining why we do the warm ups that we do . Moonwalk fitness comes highly recommended from me and my family. If you're thinking about getting into the gym, come check it out, there's no better place in the Memphis area to call a gym home.

I was in town visiting family and dropped in for the Murph WOD. Right away, I was impressed with the quality equipment and how clean and well-organized the gym was. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Max (the owner) did a great job explaining the WOD, demonstrating options for modifications, getting us properly warmed up, and keeping us motivated throughout the workout. Coach David was also super helpful and kept the humor going. The other athletes were friendly, encouraging, and made me feel right at home. Overall it was a great experience and solid workout. I definitely recommend this gym, and look forward to going back the next time I’m in town.

Great gym! Max and David are excellent trainers and work individually with each member. The gym just opened and you can tell they did not skip on quality of the equipment. A nutrition app is included for free. Many other perks for members like sauna and cold plunge tub coming soon.
This community is just starting out and has a strong foundation. It will be fun to see what Max and David build in the coming months. It will be even more fun to be part of it!
*UPDATED* 5/19/24. The community is here! They are expanding thier weight racks and increasing the rig! I Have lost 16 total pounds, while gaining 4% Lean Mass. Max's nutrition coaching with the body scan has been a game changer. My lifts have all increased as well has my squat depth/mobility.

I’ve been a member of this CrossFit gym for a few months now, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely care about helping everyone reach their goals—whether you’re a beginner or an experienced athlete.
The community is one of the best parts—everyone is super welcoming and supportive, and it really feels like a team effort in every class. The workouts are always varied, challenging, and fun, and I’ve already seen major improvements in my strength, endurance, and confidence.
The facility is clean, well-equipped, and has a great vibe. If you’re looking for a place to push yourself, grow stronger, and be part of an amazing fitness family, this is it!

I went in to talk to Max, the owner of Moonwalk Fitness, on February 4. She talked to me about my goals for thinking about joining. We talked about the Macrostax app where you would log in the number of carbs, fats, and proteins for the day. Max figured how many I could have of each when I decided to join. The Macrostax app also has recipes you can use, several of which I have tried and liked, and it has a place for you to put in your weight and measurements each time you take them. I am doing the Macrostax app and counting my fats, proteins, and carbs PLUS I go to their gym once a week to work with David. David is great and doesn’t mind repeating/showing you how to do an exercise again if you need him. You can ask questions anytime you need it about your exercises or your food intake or anything else. I also do some of the exercises I do with David 2-3 times a week at home. I have noticed my left knee where I had meniscus surgery doesn’t hurt as much. I got out 3 times lately and worked in my flowerbed which I hadn’t done in 10 years. I have gone done 1 size in pants and 1 size in shirts. I have lost 2 1/2” off my chest,
3 1/2” off my waist, and 2 1/2” off my hips. I have lost 13 lbs. Moonwalk Fitness is great and I am so glad I joined.

Great gym! I retired from the US Navy 14 years ago and have experienced a steady decline in stamina and muscle mass (my neglect). Moonwalk fitness is exactly what I needed. I’ve never received the type of training and support from a fitness coach as I have from Max over the past 20 months. She pushes me, teaches me, encourages me, laughs with me, and supports me so well. Moonwalk fitness is Max’s newest adventure. This gym is well designed, very clean, and has all the tools you need to get a great workout along with some bells and whistles (sauna, VO2Max testing, red light therapy, compression therapy, body composition scans). It’s also conveniently located in the heart of Collierville!

Moonwalk just opened its Collierville location, but Max and David have been coaching for a while. Both coaches are so knowledgeable and really passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals. David can quickly spot mobility issues and will promptly stop to focus on stretching and strengthening muscles that are holding you back.
The group classes, on the other hand, are a great way to have accountability and support from a community of friends. Moonwalk offers lots of different class times to fit everyone’s schedule.
The equipment is top notch!! Moonwalk didn’t skimp on the quality, that’s certain. They also added a recovery room with a sauna and compression sleeves (plus more!) which most gyms don’t have.
I’m so excited to have a new gym that values me as a client and a friend! They understand that total fitness is not just about exercise, but also nutrition and mental health too. Thanks, Moonwalk!!
