I have appreciated Angela's push to get me out of my deep ruts and try new things, push myself toward improved strength and flexibility, and look at life more wholistically. I am more aware of unhealthy coping habits when they start to creep in and can address them at the root. She has taught and pushed me to try new things! There are workouts I love, some I do because they're good for me, and others that I'm happy to never do again, but it has all been GOOD.

God bless this woman - I am healed of my chronic pain thanks to Angela and know how to keep it that way. I’m an extreme case of a musician who uses the computer and sits for extended periods of time with audio engineering. First off, we hit it off immediately as musicians. She listened, related, and started me with easy stretches/exercises, then we slowly worked up.

Not gonna lie, it was not an overnight thing, and that includes me falling off my regiment and catching back up. She is all about strength training (and stretching), whereas I’ve been led to believe stretching was the key. So I had to change my thinking on a few things, and I was reluctant to listen at first. But as we continued, I started noticing the muscles waking up and responding to the exercises. She also introduced me to consuming more protein/carbs and gaining strength by diet, not just fitness alone.

She showed me an overlooked exercise that was the key to my success, and part of that process was us discussing what worked and didn’t. I really attribute my success to her ability to listen and proactively respond with different exercises that were tailored to my specific needs to avoid chronic pain, while satisfying her goal of growing specific muscle groups.

She corrected my posture on lots of exercises, reminded me to stay consistent, and didn’t sell me on instant remedies. I heard her, but didn’t want to believe her. Yet after 3 months of trusting her process, that’s when everything turned around for the better.

I made the mistake of falling off my routine and boom, I woke up to the realization that I don’t own my success without my muscles holding me into place. This is a journey, not a sprint. Many of us would like to get the instant results, i.e.: the YouTube video with the secret tip that “changes everything”. But what made the difference was repetitive daily/weekly routines, building muscle through diet and fitness, and consistency above all.

She will tell you right now, the core is everything, and she is not wrong. But working the core and waking it up, that takes mental focus, time, and energy. As a musician, we cherish all of the above, so dedicating it all to specific exercises is no easy task when it’s much easier to ignore the problem, especially with such a busy schedule. But after working with Angela, I just wake up, do my exercises/stretches, and that’s it. No more YouTube videos, no more mysterious guessing what’s wrong. You can’t put a price on that.

You’re a part of my thoughts everyday when I workout and I can’t put into words how much you’ve changed my life. I had pain in my shoulder and back while playing the fiddle. After just one session, I can play pain free. I am stronger, with greater flexibility. I was given a detailed, easy to follow, thorough, plan for warmups before playing as well as a daily work out that were designed specifically for me!!!!! Angela is so tender & kind, so accommodating. Angela McCuiston is incredible to work with!  She was really thoughtful and intuitive about my needs as a musician for strength gaining and especially corrective exercises for the management of chronic pain.  Before working with Angela, my hands would constantly go numb.  The numbness didn’t seem to be activated by playing piano specifically, but tightness in the upper neck and shoulder area.  This pain and numbness would show up often in daily activity.  Angela gave me incredible corrective exercises, as well as a tailored workout program for strength gains.  She adjusted it monthly as my experience with pain management changed.  I really think she is the reason that my pain in my upper body is manageable now and would highly recommend any person who struggles with chronic pain to reach out to Angela and take this oh-so-important step to being in control of their healthy movement.

I cannot recommend Angela enough! She is fantastic about pushing me in a very supportive way and letting me get away with any BS. Her workouts are catered to my capabilities, likes and dislikes. After each session I feel good and powerful. I always feel sore the next day and this is great because I know I am always engaging my muscles which is more that I have been able to do on my own. When coming to Angela I had been on prednisone for an autoimmune condition. I had gained a lot of weight and had lost a lot of strength and stamina. We worked for about a year.
