The sauna has been down 3 weeks. Today, I get an email from the CEO Randy Carr saying they arr going up $5 on the maintenance fees. That timing sums up how this place is ran. The place has been poorly maintained since I joined many years ago. I do not recommend joining.

I had a GREAT experience this evening at National Fitness Tazewell. For nearly 4 years now my left leg has been numb from the waist down due to a pinched nerve and disc issues. Today I was searching for group exercise classes I would be able to do and looked up my favorite instructors. I found one of my favorites, Joanna aka Jo, teaching “Tread’n Shred”. I thought to give it a try and said to myself that I could walk and not necessarily jog or run, which I haven’t been able to do since nearly 4 years. When in class, I felt pretty comfortable walking at a fast pace holding on to the handlebars with both hands. As Jo was instructing everyone to start jogging, I looked around and wanted to join in so badly. I thought to myself: what if I tighten my grip on the handlebars and try a light jog? All of a sudden, I felt so comfortable that I tightened my grip and pumped the speed up to 3.9. Watching my feet carefully (as I cannot feel the step of my left foot) and holding on for my life, I was able to lightly jog after nearly 4 years !!!!!!!!
I will surely be back and do some more “light jogging”, this looks like I can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you for your inspiration and great coaching Jo !!!

BEWARE!
We were members beginning 2022. As we approached the end of our contract in February 2025, we gave written notice to discontinue 30+ days ahead of time, as specified in the contract. We were faithful in fulfilling our financial obligations. NF replied to our written notice that our termination was accepted and gave the final day of remaining charges.
CHARGES HAVE NEVER STOPPED
We have been charged every month since March 2025. They have used multiple company names and methods to charge our card on file (even after I asked them to remove the card in March) totaling hundreds of dollars (from a family membership and personal trainers).
I have attempted to resolve the dispute on the phone, in person, and through my credit card. But since the gym has changed its name and method of charging during this period, charges continue to go through.
Today I attempted in a last-ditch effort to put an end to the situation and called the gym again.
I was informed:
-she cannot find our account in the system,
-there is no cooperate number to call,
-there isn’t a billing department,
-there is no one higher to talk to,
-and “there is nothing I can do.”
She told me, she is sorry and,
“it’s a really messed up system and I have to tell people this multiple times per day,” but in the end there is nothing National Fitness can do.
Meanwhile, I am getting charged hundreds of dollars each month, wasting my time documenting, disputing multiple times with the credit card, and trying to get it stopped.
But I am supposed to hang up the phone today and be ok with that.
Save yourself the headache and money.

Great fitness center for all ages. If you are lacking the motivation to workout at home the National Fitness Center could be your answer. I'm a member for many reasons but one of the greatest is knowing that others are there with the same common goals. Thanks to John and Sarah at the front desk for always speaking to me and making me feel welcome. Also, my trainer Gary is very professional and knowledgeable. He is helping me gain strength and cardiovascular fitness.

Everything about this gym is right. The employees are always in a positive mood and set a great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The childcare is incredible along with the men and women who deal with our crotch goblins while we get a pump. They are updating EVERYTHING! And unlike most gyms I've been a member at the management actually listens and cares when you speak to them. Will never leave this place. 100/10

National Fitness Center on Tazewell Pike is a fantastic gym with a great selection of equipment and a newly added functional strength training area that’s been a game changer. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I’ve been especially impressed with the variety of options available to help people meet their fitness goals—no matter their financial situation. Shoutout to personal trainer Zach, who has been excellent in guiding and supporting me on my journey. Highly recommend!

After entering my information to get pricing I decided that the price was too high for my current budget. I was called which is totally fine but after asking to be removed from the list the employee responded "So your not interested in working out?" I didn't particularly appreciate that comment given that this gym is very pricey and may just not be in everyone's budget.

*Update: I emailed. Never heard back.*
I relocated to Knoxville and it's been more of the same experience I got in Sevierville. [Review reposted at the bottom] I have a trainer for less than a month and then get shuffled to another. The equipment here is dated. The layout is awkward. Ronnie, head of training, absolutely couldn't care less about the experience of his members. The only thing that matters to him is the 3 year contract you sign. Buyer beware. Crunch is a few blocks away and is a much better value. It would be hard to find a gym that's a bigger waste of money.
Honestly I would give no stars, if I could:
Price: More expensive than any comparable gym and they push long contracts.
Equipment: broken for years. Not well maintained at all. In the mornings, there's often not enough free weights or benches to accommodate the crowd.
Cleanliness: the men's locker room is absolutely disgusting at times.
Personal training: most of the trainers are "bros" and just want to talk about their gym crushes. The ones I've had that actually care don't show up consistently or quit very soon after starting.
Bottom line: Every other option is a better option.
*Emailed, per your request. Still no response from anyone at NFC. Just more negative reviews from others that echo what I've said here. This place is absolutely a waste of money. *

Was told I was signing up for a 1 year contract and would be emailed a copy of the agreement but was scammed into signing a 3 year contract under false pretenses that the club would be going through a remodel. Now notified I'm stuck in a 3 year contract with large cancelation penalties and no remodels have been done. After taking it up with management, they admitted this sales person was let go for doing things such as this, yet refused to do anything to make the situation right.

Been a member for 10 years and am very appreciative of the staff and facilities provided here. Excellent variety in equipment, and the recent upgrades to the locker rooms were significant improvements. There has been a noticeable effort from the team to keep the gym cleaner, and the team that works to sweep/dust the gym floor and equipment areas are clearly working hard to do that. If we could get to a point where all of the members re-rack their weights correctly, we'd be a proper society. But the management and staff are definitely making the right improvements in the areas they can control. Great value and convenience provided by NFC for the cost of this membership. Best gym in town.

Good equipment but the sauna, pool, wet room, and lockers have been getting pushed off every month since last year. Went from end of january to now end of april. One of the main reasons i use NFC is for the local sauna and pool access, not to drive an extra 30 minutes to the packed location in Cedar Bluff.

John was very helpful in getting me signed up with a membership that was right for me. They do offer month to month memberships. I'm really enjoying NFC! My toddler loves the childcare, which makes it much easier to be consistent coming knowing that he's having fun and being well cared for. That was really my biggest worry was he may not adjust well to being away from me. I've really been loving adding fitness back into my routine. The cardio theater and ladies' only areas are two of my favorite areas so far, and I like getting in a hydromassage after my workouts. I'm looking forward to trying some classes. I met with Roy and Julie for an initial assessment and free one on one training, and they were incredibly encouraging and supportive of my goals! They weren't pushy with the sales and let me know even if I didn't get a personal training package they are always there to answer questions and make sure I'm getting the most out of the gym. The body scan is very helpful in giving data other than just weight to help you track your progress. I'm looking forward to tracking those non-scale victories like losing inches, body fat, and building muscle with body scans every 3 months. All the staff are very friendly!

Not forthcoming on renovations and lack of cycling. I signed up a month ago and I made it clear it was primarily for swimming. First they shut down the locker room with nothing more than a single restroom to change in. Ridiculous they couldn’t have planned better and used curtains or one of the many locked “mystery rooms” or offices. Now I hear the pool is closed until further notice and no one seems to have any sort of clue on how long it will be closed. No one informed me of these upcoming changes when I signed up. I also was interested in some cycling classes as they show they have them on this site. NOPE. Lots of other cardio equipment crammed in a dark room, but no cycles that I could see. Really poor showing folks. Glad you got rid of the contracts so at least I can take my business elsewhere.

I’ve been going to this gym for ten plus years. It used to be kinda trash years ago, but the 24 hours a day and being close by was the selling point.
Since Patrick has been in charge, this place has become amazing. I highly suggest you ask for him if you stop by for a tour. He goes above and beyond to help people. I’m speaking from experience. Like I said, I’ve been working out here for over ten years. I’ve seen how it used to be compared to what it has become.
My only complaint is it’s no longer 24 hours. That was super convenient for me. No fault of their own, so no hard feelings. They just don’t get enough people coming here in the late hours now days to make it worth keeping staff on 24/7.
Bottom line, best gym in all Knoxville. Pay attention to what you sign and you shouldn’t have any issues. Ask for Patrick. He’s very thorough at explaining your benefits and obligations.

I used to hate this gym because of the ridiculous contracts but since they have a new owner and got rid of the multiple year contracts, we decided to give it a try. We are a month in and things have been great. The people at the desk are always friendly and seem genuinely happy to see us. Christian, our personal trainer, is great and have been really making us work hard so money well spent. My only complaint is the we signed the contract and then after we were told that an error was made on it so we had to sign again for a more expensive price. I feel that they should have honored the initial price but it wasn't a crazy amount difference so I only docked 1 star. Other than that, its been wonderful and I can't wait to continue my fitness journey here!

Never ever, everrrrr sign a contract with this place. They are so shady with their agreements and will bill you endlessly for late fees. I went to pay in person at the west gym and wasn’t told I even had a late fee so then the next month I was charged $149 (I pay $54 a month). When I contacted the billing department I was immediately greeted with a rude employee on the phone before I even begun to discuss my issue. I tried canceling my membership at one point because I had to move suddenly for a few months but was told that I had to come in person to cancel it so I basically I had no choice but to pay. Every person I’ve talked to either through the billing department or the sales people have giving me information that doesn’t line up with what the last person told me. I’ve never seen anything like this and I’ve gone to several different gyms I can’t even believe they are able to operate under these conditions it’s absolutely insane. Oh, not to mention, once I brought my friend to see about a guest pass but they said they don’t do those even though they filled out the form for it through the website. The sales guy tried to get them to join for $35/month each and when I mentioned I pay 54 he simply laughed and said “oh well we already got you” as if he was making a joke of scamming me. I was flabbergasted. I’ve asked different people what they pay on their membership and the prices are all over the place for the same type of membership, it doesn’t add up.

I recently attended Coach Lindsey Reinstorm's Body Combat class at the National Fitness Center on Tazewell Pike, and I must say it was an incredible experience. Coach Lindsey's energy and enthusiasm made the class exceptionally enjoyable. Her expertise and motivational skills created an energetic atmosphere that kept me engaged throughout the session.
The Body Combat class was not only fun but also incredibly invigorating. The blend of exercises and movements was perfectly curated, providing an excellent workout while ensuring an enjoyable time. I appreciated Coach Lindsey's attention to detail and her ability to cater to participants of all fitness levels, making everyone feel included and motivated.

They can’t retain personal trainers! Apparently they don’t pay them well or treat them fair which drives high turnover with them. My 5th month as a new member, also was my 5th month into my contracted 3-year training program with a very knowledgeable and great trainer. Now he’s long gone and I’ve been waiting 3 weeks now with no PT sessions that already pre-paid for, no resolution from NFC management. Myself and 30+ other clients dealing with this nonsense!

My husband and I love this place! There is so much equipment and there’s a lot of space for the many members that come in everyday. It’s a nice gym, IF live close by. If you’re like myself and don’t live close, but work close to the gym, don’t go here. Yes they have a locker room and shower, but the locker room itself is always 100 degrees inside. So unless you can go home and take a shower before work, you’ll be just as sweaty after getting dressed as you were during the workout

DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE. The guys selling you your contract will give you false information and are not educated on the details of the contracts. The management is AWFUL and you will have to go to hell and back just to cancel. They will make you false promises of calling you back and never will. They will also not be ready for you when you come in for your “appointment” to cancel. The only redeeming quality of this gym is the front desk staff, who are always trying their best despite the circumstances. Gym facilities are mid at best.

THIS GYM IS A JOKE. When I signed my contract (which I NEVER saw, until after trying to cancel) I was told I would have a three day window to cancel. Once I realized I was moving due to school I called to cancel and they told me I had to mail in a letter. Shocker they didn’t receive my letter in time, but was I told it had to be receive at a certain date, nope just to mail it when they told me to do so which I did. I then agreed to pay the fee to get out of the contract and sent over the proof I was moving that they require for some reason. They told me that my proof wasn’t enough and I would have to continue to pay my 3 year contract after weeks of emails and calls, which I received passive aggressive responses or no response at all. I canceled my payments to them and reported them to the better business bureau. They then threatened to SUE ME if I did not resume my payments. DO NOT sign on any line within ten miles of this building. Also the responses to reasonable angry “customers” is embarrassing to say the least.

I was in need of a place to swim on a day my own gym was closed. I had high hopes for this facility, but every aspect left me sadly disappointed. The pool area was tiny and the water shallow… and it was at the point where it’s really starting to look run down, but no one has bothered to notice.
Any other gym I’ve ever gone to has a separate area for men and women with amenities like the sauna, hot tub, and steam room. I asked another member while I was in the pool where these were located, and he pointed to what looked like a kiddie pool in the corner and said, “There’s the hot tub.” Then he further pointed out what I had naturally assumed were two glass front offices and said those were the steam room and sauna.
Upon entering the glass front sauna, I immediately started to gag. The stench of old sweat and musty mildew caused my breathing passages to almost collapse. I normally spend 20 minutes in the female only sauna at my gym, but after only a few minutes I had to give up… if only out of concern for how sick the unaddressed mildew might make me long term.
I had felt from the get-go that the $20 guest fee was high, but after my afternoon spent there and the unkempt, dirty nature of the place, it was everything I could do not to insist on my money back as I walked out the door.

I had high hopes for this gym but it has been very disappointing. The main reason is the lack of cleaning that is done. You will see the same balled up paper towels in the same treadmill day after day. The same mud from someone’s shoe will stay on the floor for days if not weeks in some parts of the gym. The same empty water bottles sit in the treadmill cup holders. I have been to a lot of gyms and every single one of them is more clean than this one. Even at Planet Fitness locations across the country, workers are always seen cleaning if you go at night. That is not the case here and makes you wonder about all the machines and weights you are touching. There seems to be no cleaning schedule for any part of the gym except at the end of group fitness classes. There are minimal spray bottles to clean the machines after you are done and the vast majority of people are not wiping down their equipment after they sweat all over it.
Prices are outrageous and the also contracts a bummer. The workers work out at the end of the day too and it can seem like a weird bro culture.
Overall, it’s an unclean and subpar gym with high prices and long contracts. But hey, it’s got an indoor pool.

Beware of this company. They don’t let you touch the gym or ask about a membership without pulling you into a sales room. Then beware of what you sign. They put me into a 3 year contract that I am absolutely not able to get out of, I guess unless I move 20 miles away. It is my fault for not reading this in the contract, but you would think that the sales guy would let you know about such a long commitment. And also, this place isn’t that friendly or welcoming. But then again, they obviously just care about sticking you into 3 year contracts. Pretty pathetic honestly

They make you pay a 195 dollar cancellation fee on top of making you pay an additional month of membership while they have an investigations team validate your new address. Also, electronic submission of cancellation requests will not be considered and you are forced to use certified mail. I’m a USN veteran who moves around a lot, sometimes very unexpectedly, and this gym took advantage of me and my family to the highest degree. I’m pretty certain modern consumer laws protect consumers from companies who’s procedures actively take advantage of their costumers, but alas I don’t have the money or time to engage with them via a lawsuit…which is what they are most likely betting on. So it’s my hope that someone someday WILL have the time and money to do so.

Don’t waste your time on this gym if you’re wanting to cancel your gym membership. It’s like having to go through government procedure jumping all these hoops just to cancel everything. Not only that you’re having to pay monthly until they approve of your new address which is 30 days. So yeah you’re wasting your money on this gym.

cancellation of this contract and membership is insane the condition and mainatenace of the club bear no regard in cancellation of this gym the showers have not been repaired and water is either boiling hot of freezing there is no in between looks as if they are never cleaned (showers are the main reason i go to a gym other than working out) the equpment is never fully sanitized when i have visited as well and smells of body odor on the regular
so as a buyer beware do not sign up to these gyms
the contract should not be legal it is nearly criminal
i repeat do not use the facilities if you need anything other than weights

There's a lot to love about NFC Tazewell. It's not perfect, but I think the combination of convenience, wide range of amenities, and cost make it the best option.
Pros:
Staff have always been very kind and attentive when needed, and generally leave you alone after welcoming you. But it's nice that the recognize members and provide a friendly environment.
The floor plan allows for ample space for most lifting activities. I tend to visit either at opening at 5:00 AM, where there is still a pretty decent crowd, or between 10:00AM - 1:00 PM. Things might get a little packed after work, but I've never had much of a problem getting a workout in during these hours. The gym is basically separated into two main strips with lengthy dumbbell racks for lots of free weight work, and these areas connected by two large machine and iso focused areas. There is a cardio section if that's your thing as well.
The sauna is also a great way to end a workout. It can get cramped faster than the workout areas, but it's a nice option to have.
Front desk area comes relatively well stocked with protein and preworkout options, and maintaining an e-cash balance is possible. This makes it convenient for days when I forget something at home. They even have towels, and I've that's saved me from time to time after picking up the wrong gym bag.
Locker rooms are functional, but no frills. Locker rentals are available and relatively cheap as part of a new contract. That convenience is huge if you are coming multiple times per week.
The location is a huge factor -- Tazewell Pike is an easy 10 minutes from downtown Knoxville, so I can get to the gym from home or work without hassle. But it's also far enough away from work that I don't have to worry about having to stop my workout to have 15 different conversations.
Huge quantity of dumbbells means you are rarely waiting around for someone to get done with a set of them. There are usually others to go to. (Your benches are far more of the limiting factor here).
Cons:
Most negative reviews about the gym usually deal with their pricing and 3 year contract requirements. That is restrictive, but I have not found the commitment to be so daunting that it makes other options in Knoxville more appealing. Low cost/commitment options tend to have fewer equipment options or amenities, or locations that aren't as accessible.
Although there is a lot of space, the gym is open for a lot of hours and it is high traffic over the course of a day/week. That means most problems are caused by the volume of people coming in and out. It is difficult to always keep the shower areas clean, or keep people from leaving trash in the sauna. And since this is billed as a fitness center, and less body building or power lifting centric, it seems there is an almost total disregard by members for putting weights back up after done, and definitely not on the correct weight tree. You're almost always going to find 45's stacked on 5's stacked on 25's stacked on a 2.5 at the bottom. It's not possible to staff up enough to go behind every member and rearrange the weights again. There is signage throughout the gym encouraging people to put the weights back, but you see the same signs telling people to put their grocery carts up at Wal-Mart, and you know how that goes.
The equipment here is solid, if not spectacular. But they could definitely use a few more mobile flat benches. There are about 3 in the whole gym, and if someone is doing accessory work on them, there aren't many good alternatives. Only 2 squat racks, so those can be a traffic jam. There are some decent leg press and machine squat alternatives, but definitely missing some of the nicer leg day equipment (pendulum squat machine, belt squat station, etc.). Some of the good accessories are very limited in quantity (only one long rope attachment, limited D-ring handles, only one EZ Curl bar).
No platform or bumpers for any Olympic lifting. That means people doing deadlifts are having to make room throughout the rest of the floor.

In my opinion, I would probably avoid getting a National Fitness Membership. I encourage everyone to read the Better Business Bureau reviews before looking into a membership with them. Extremely inflexible as well. I encourage you to read their own responses to the Better Buisiness Bureau compliants and just ask yourself is this a company you want to do buisiness with? Especially when there are plenty of other gyms in our area. If you just spend a few minutes reading these reviews you will hear horror stories. The compliants are pretty much on point. These guys can absolutely ruin your life if you're not careful. If for some reason you are still brave enough to do buisiness with them after reading this, it may be advisable to have a lawyer look over any contract you sign with them. Understand you will be held to that. It's a shame really because it's not a bad gym otherwise.

I have been a member of NFC for 18 years, and I like that I can attend all the locations whenever convenient for me, which I do. I particularly like the Tazewell Pike location for the friendly staff, coming or going, and particularly for Devon, who has been my trainer for several months in the hopes of avoiding knee replacement. He is consistently professional and takes care to make sure he offers new and varied exercises each session. He listens to me and strives to challenge me, yet attentive to any undue pain or any new issues that need addressing. So thank you, Devon! I would rate you a 10.

I've been going here since December. I love the gym itself although it could use a update soon. The childcare staff are my favorite. They are the sweetest. I feel like there's been a lack of communication and knowledge from the other staff members at times. I have a lot of respect for the GM. I see him often taking out trash and cleaning. I wish the GM and training supervisor would focus more on their communications through email. I had surgery and am on 4 weeks no exercise. I emailed them with basic questions since I'm new and can't get in. Still no answer and it's going on week four now. Communication would make Tazewell location a 5 star gym without a doubt.

Very sketchy business practices here! They lock you in to a multi-year contract with no way to cancel it (after 3 days after signing) unless you pay the full amount of the contract. They also charge both a monthly fee AND an annual fee. Terrible and sketchy business practices going on here. Not technically illegal in any way (that I know of), but not a friendly business, and I would proceed with CAUTION.

I’ve been reading all the negative reviews for National Fitness Center (how greedy, how rundown). I personally knew these things directly when John and Helen Captain first took over Court South. I think it’s ironic how so many of these negative reviews are complaining about how horrible it is to cancel their contracts with them. NFC holding members accountable for CONTRACTS when THOSE worms wouldn’t honor the “life-timers” contracts upon their obtaining ownership of Court South in the early 90’s.
One of their employees (at the time the class-action lawsuit was being made against them for their terrible treatment of people with lifetime Court South contracts, made a copy of my original contract and stole it unbeknownst to me, made a slick switcheroo, then he made me a “new life-time contract” with National Fitness Center, “don’t tell anyone” *wink-wink. I should have ran to the lawyers with it! Anyway, I figured it was a bust because the new contact was handwritten and deliberately illegible. I also figured it would turn out right, as it SHOULD HAVE played: “A contract, is a contract, is a contract.” BUT NO! (BECAUSE TENNESSEE 🙄) The crooked AG at the time sided with John Captain, and company, saying that a “Lifetime Contract” aren’t actually meaning lifetime…. (I say Tennessee because at the SAME the SAME type class-action lawsuit was ongoing in neighboring North Carolina (NOT under a DONKEY AG) who said: to the gym owners: HONOR YOUR D*** LIFETIME CONTRACTS!!!! (And oh, by-the-way, pay all attorney fees, court fees, and reinstate dropped members, immediately.)….THEN when crooked TN. AG and crooked John (and Helen) Captain won their ‘sht’ position….MY “new contract” was certainly voided.
I just need to say that day: I became their LIFETIME enemy. I hope COVID bankrupts them!!! (I will NEVER forget! Shame on YOU ALL!! If you don’t believe there’s a God in Heaven that’s going to zap you come Judgment Day, won’t you be surprised!!!)
National Fitness Centers: squeezing the last half-penny out of their investments/and members….slimy crooks!
If I could give them a NEGATIVE trillion stars, it would make my eternity!!!

PREDATORY CONTRACT AND SALES MANAGER. Coerced into signing a contract and lied to about cancellation terms. Was told I could cancel with a $195 fee (steep but okay) but failed to be clear that was within SEVEN DAYS of signing the contract. It has been four months since I signed up and I have had an unexpected significant financial life change and the customer service agent in the billing department was beyond condescending explaining "you knowingly signed a *financed term contract* and so you'll have to pay the full balance at time of cancellation."
I did not *knowingly* sign up for these terms and I want OUT. The facility is mediocre at best, doesn't open until NOON on Sunday, mandates ACH then adds a $35 charge if the ACH doesn't go through when they run it (say for instance a paycheck hasn't hit in time or the credit limit is maxed due to a significant financial life change).
Also -- everything is done on *paper,* including keeping and updating your credit card information. This does not feel secure, especially when attendants regularly leave the desk to perform other duties.
Adding the photo so hopefully more people will see this review and steer clear of this predatory company.

Gym is spacious. Plenty of machines to get a good workout in. Front desk staff are always friendly and speak upon entering and leaving. My only complaint is that it needs some upgrades! I like the womens room. Wish it was a little bigger!
Cardio equipment is old, treadmills need to be replaced. Also, it’d be great to get dumbbells with smaller heads. The current dumbbells make it difficult to do certain exercises because they are so bulky.

Don’t get a membership. They don’t give you time to even look at what you’re signing up for. They just tell you to “sign here” go to the next page and say “sign here” there’s a reason they won’t let you read what you’re signing up for. You’re on a 3 year “contract” that you can’t even cancel because you have to live 20 miles away from any NFC. Not only that, you have to provide proof that you live at a new residence when you’re 20 miles away. Wait there’s more. After the whole month of trying to cancel after they pushed it off for a whole month, you pay for that months charge and on top of that you pay a $200 cancellation fee. What a coincidence that there’s multiple people with similar stories saying they never knew about a contract. You don’t know about the contract until they send you an email after you had already signed . Such a fraud company that shouldn’t even be in business. Respectfully

Clean machines and exercise areas. Classes galore and plenty of features including free childcare. Several of the machines have the names and instructions torn off of them, which makes an overwhelming first-time experience that much more. Only two flat benches in the whole place, and they’re almost always occupied in the morning.
EDIT: Revised to 3 stars. Management doesn’t seem to care what the sales reps tell you regarding pricing. When I signed up, I took advantage of a Black Friday type special during which I was told if ever my wife wanted to join she could get that pricing as well.
Fast forward a few months and my wife wants to join now. You’d think this would be an easy process. It’s not.
We spent over an hour sitting in front of a sales rep as we tried to keep our 4-year old entertained while he wrestled with the computer system to try to take advantage of the deal I was promised.
We were told after that hour+ that the reason he couldn’t process the deal was that a manager needed to be present and to come back another day.
We came back only to have the manager tell us that both he and the rep who originally signed me up were “wrong” and that if we wanted to sign my wife up we would have to pay full price for both of us.
And that was it. No ownership of the process. No empathy for a customer robbed of time and lied to. No desire to make it right and stand by their word. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. I dealt with the public for over ten years in a customer service environment, and if I ever turned a customer away over a $15/mo. difference they were promised after I had made them jump through hoops and wasted their time, I’d have been fired. And rightfully so.
I’m locked in for 8 more months but we’ll be exploring our options afterwards.

Furthermore, the girls that feel they are entitled to take up the vanities during their workout need a reality check. If they think this deters me from using the vanity, they are mistaken. Very unreasonable. I’ve lost my job and can’t afford my membership. Although I do not recall doing so, apparently I signed a 3 year agreement. I highly doubt I would of knowingly agreed to such a lengthy contract. There’s no way to get out of the contract unless you move 20 miles away from any gym. And even though I do not attend the gym anymore I’m still being charged monthly and it will go to collections soon because I do not have the money to keep paying for this membership. If you want to attend this gym keep that in mind and factor in that life can turn for you at any moment and they could care less.
