Whoever reviewed saying the regulars play fast must be new to golf. I play fast, the regulars play slow, sometimes extremely slow and that’s ok if they’re old or disabled. It’s understandable. They should just let you go around instead of asking you to join them
(Holding up pace of play). The condition of the course isn’t great, some of the staff is friendly, others are not. Take it for what it’s worth. If you want to play fast on a nice course this place is not for you. If you want a less expensive decent round of golf and don’t care about much of anything else this place is for you. Just don’t come here expecting a $100 course. It’s not. If it was the prices would be much higher.

Honestly don't get the harsh reviews here. Course quality was good and staff were friendly. Really enjoyed our first round here and will definitely be coming back.

Lady in the pro shop absolutely rude they raised the rates at this course recently because they have a new paved parking lot and golf carts. Absolutely nothing else is new here they still let the course get run down garbage greens and tee boxes. Do Yourself a favor and don't waste time and money going here and go down the street to Legacy golf course it's much better

Gerald in the Pro Shop is probably the most unpleasant person you’ll ever meet. If you play here just hope he’s not working that day. Also the fact they try to charge you an extra 30 dollars as a “spectator fee” is ridiculous. We played a week day round with 2 golfers. They had nobody else slotted to play with us, and said we had to pay 30 extra bucks to get another cart for our girlfriends. I hope that 30 bucks can get grass to grow in your fairways.

The course has greatly improved in recent years! I'm honestly really impressed at all of the work that they have put into their course and club. Course conditions this year definitely jumped to between 7/10 and 8/10. Good course, and great management.

Overall:
Play here if you’re using a coupon or have a discount. But don’t expect Oak Hills to be on par with Legacy, 12 stones, Pebblebrook.

Course condition:
6/10. Most Tee boxes are bad. Fairways are okay on some holes and poor on others. Some greens are great, some greens are terrible. There’s not a lot of attention to detail in course maintenance. All this being said: the condition has improved in the last year or so from a 2 star to 3 star and I hope that they will continue to improve the poor conditions on some holes. There is no driving range, but they did just install a hitting net. The practice green is small, but in great shape.

Staff:
Generally friendly and helpful. Nice people.

Value:
I purchased the Anniversary 3 year membership. I will say that I have never been to this course before they offered this deal. And honestly, still wouldn’t play it if I hadn’t purchased the membership. With the membership, it only costs me $12 for 9 and $15 for 18 (with cart). This is cheap enough that I would play this course over the other local course. However, I played last Saturday and was charged $32 for 18. They told me that my membership discount wasn’t valid on Saturday and Sundays before 11AM. I’ve previously played on Saturdays before 11AM and have never heard this. At this price, I would prefer to play any other course. But it’s the inconsistency/ vagueness that has me questioning the professionalism of the business. Lastly, they charge $1 fee to use a card. This is 2019. I do not know of a single place that charges card fees for purchases over $3. ESPECIALLY not a golf course. This isn’t going to break the bank, but it’s particularly annoying to be nickel and dimed.

It was okay. I went golfing there with a group of people from work and we all had the same thoughts about this coarse and that is that it was hard to tell which way that the coarse was laid out. All there signs was old and that's to read. It seemed like each one was cramed in on to of each one and was very confusing and some of the ponds were dried up and there wasn't any sand traps anywhere on the coarse.

I do not recommend this golf course. It had some cool holes but the cart path layout was weird. If you are looking for a relaxing place to play golf, this is NOT it. The regulars like to play fast and are NOT friendly to visitors.

I host an annual golf outing with a group of friends and we have played at Oak Hills for the last 2 years. Jeff is always quick to respond and has gotten us set up with no trouble whatsoever. The entire staff is friendly. We couldn't be happier with our experience.

The course was in great shape, even at the end of a brutal summer. There's something here for golfers of all skill levels. The layout has forgiving holes for beginners and some challenging pin positions for more experiences players.

The food is also great. Highly recommend putting an order in at the 8th to pick up a Nasty dog or a BBQ sandwich and tots. Looking forward to many rounds again next year.

As others are saying, course is not in the best shape, but certainly not unplayable. Food is also missing, I saw the sign about getting a new food vendor soon, but for now, you get a pretty weak bologna sandwich for $8 (white bread, American slice, bologna). That, and $45 for the course in its current condition, both seem a little overpriced for what you get at the moment.

All the staff was very friendly though, and we never felt crowded or rushed, so the rest of the experience was enjoyable, just need to either lower the prices or raise the quality next time.

Played 18 holes and sharing my experience. Fairways needs some work, lack of overseeing has created bare spots in many places on golf course. Lost two balls that should have stayed in the fairway, but ran off into more bare spots and laying timber. Basically no rough on edges of fairways. Couple holes not marked for direction, confusing layout and a lot of areas that need attention. Several areas under repair. No preparation for quick takeout of food on the turn. None golfers were ordering food with one person behind counter on the turn. This course needs a lot of attention before I return. Disappointed on the experience.

The people were friendly. The greens were in decent to good shape and the price was reasonable. This being said, the tee boxes were terrible. I played saturday morning, and what grass was on the tees wasn’t even cut...i mean how hard is it to run that over with a mower? I’ve read comments dating back years and the tee boxes seem to be an ongoing issue. Either the people hired to maintain that course are clueless or they are just LAZY. Do yourself a favor and explore other options.

Visited 2 weeks ago it was sprinkling we were encouraged to not play golf but yet go back home and watch a movie or go to the movies. So we left .
Visited again but it'll be our 1st and last time playing here.
Rude and negative tells us first 9 holes are closed and asked are we sure we want to play last holes twice , my hubsand says yes we are playing.
From the beginning everything was a mess, people were rude. Everything felt negative and wrong. Restrooms had no lights or running water sinks.
We played last 9 holes and started again we noticed a special team started playing #1 hole and continued so they were allowed to play the first 9 holes.
I've only been playing a year but this has been the worse experience yet :(

Excellent all around. Top notch quality and top notch golf. Staff is great. You will see lovely greens and excellent red squirrels of gargantuan cuteness. Highly recommend this course. It is beautiful and you will thoroughly enjoy yourself. Be prepared to lose a ball on hole 5 and 16. Coyotes watch the water. Very good golf here.

Usually if I am golfing, I'm golfing at Oak Hills. The owner has done a lot to the course and pro shop and it's definitely improving. The course is not too difficult, which I appreciate. My biggest complaint is that there aren't any sand traps on the course. Also, hot food selection is a little lacking but it's very affordable for 18 holes.
