I have been going to Olympus for several years now, and it’s been a great place to get a good workout. It’s expansive with all the exercise stations you could possibly want with many multiple machines so finding one open is no problem. The owner is also very friendly and is usually available if you run into any issues to help you.

I've heard you become most like the people you surround yourself with. I was uncertain about joining Olympus at first, because being a little older and really just focusing on getting in shape seemed to not be serious enough for that gym (from the outside). Since joining, I've realized how much more I've been inspired to hit the last rep or do the last mile on the treadmill.

My old gym was convenient for all of the wrong reasons. I could get on a treadmill and casually walk while I watched a game, but the weights I needed were never open and the workouts were more about what's on the TV versus improving my health.

At Olympus, I've never had to wait for an open machine or lift, the staff is extremely helpful, and most important I'm inspired to keep going. If you are seriously wanting to improve your health and looking for a gym, try this one!!!

The best gym I have ever used. Nothing but good things to say about this place. The place is huge. Many different types of machines and free weights. Other gyms I have used I had to spend a lot of time waiting on equipment. There is so much equipment here that you very seldom have to wait at all. Probably the best gym in Murfreesboro. The kids club hours are great, tons of equipment for people of all fitness levels, and a easy location to get to. I can never find any kettlebells when I need them and the weights are usually scattered about but it's nothing too major.

Olympus is the main AND ONLY GYM I have been going to for the past year because this place is a home, a safe place, and if you need help with anything or just need somebody to talk to you can do that here. Great place to workout. I’ve been a loyal member for about 5 years now. No other place I would rather workout. It can be crowded during primetime 5-7. Plenty of equipment though. I can always complete my workout no matter how busy it is. I would highly recommend to beginners and serious lifters. Its a no nonsense gym. No lunk alarms or water restrictions on how you stay hydrated. Super clean and judgement free zone!!!

Let me start this by saying this an amazing gym with equipment for all kinds of training. From bodybuilding to power lifting to general fitness and it accommodates all levels of training. I have been to a lot of gyms over the course of my life and during my time in the Army and while training for bodybuilding and powerlifting myself and never have I been to a more complete gym for training than Olympus!

The staff are great and friendly. Gym is always clean and they have a great kids area with great staff watching the little crazies. On top of being 24 hours this is the best gym I have been to in my 20 years of being an active lifter. And it is easy to move around in with disabilities and injuries of which I have many.

My only complaints, and to be honest this is just me being nit picky, is the cardio equipment seems outdated compared to other machines I have used. They still function great though, the daycare hours are not super long, but also I understand that, and the last thing is a lot of machines are too close together which leads to either being bumped while trying to load a machine or bumping someone trying to load a machine. Space isnt as utilized as I feel it could be. But again that's being nit picky. Still an amazing place to train and one of those gyms you could have 100 people in there and still be able to train like it's only you. 10/10.

Olympus is probably my favorite gym of all time. I've had memberships at planet fitness and crunch and Trufit, they don't compare to this gym at all. They have any machine and weights you can think of, it's sectioned off and darker atmosphere than others which feels nice for privacy. The owner and employees are very kind and actually like talking and having conversations as well. $15 a month, men's and women's separate lockers and bathrooms, showers, separate tanning, even a cardio room where they put on movies. The very back of the gym is like the Olympian weight room with 300 pound dumbbells and Olympic machines. Top Tennessee bodybuilders and top bodybuilders in the country have used it as their main gym. 💪💪

So this gym just put a young man that didn't know anything about giving his SS out and put him in a 2 year contract!!! One person the gym told him at sign up he can cancel after his trial is up. Another on a phone call which I was 3 way called to listen as his parent told him that he could email them and they would cancel. And before that a guy at the desk told him before his trial date was up he went into the gym and cancelled and the said ya your good it's cancelled a month later tries to hit credit card this young man has no income!
Now being told he signed a two year contract and will be sent to collections !
Stay away from this gym.

Olympus is HANDS DOWN the BEST and COOLEST gym I’ve ever been to. To start, it’s a lifters paradise, catering to bodybuilders, power lifters, strongmen, and the general fitness enthusiast.

For the bodybuilders, they’ve got NUMEROUS brands and models of each machine… Including multiple OG Nautilus pieces, that are sought after far and wide by gym owners. They also support every competitor by adding their pictures to the wall of fame, and have banners made of each IFBB Pro from the gym.

For the power lifters they’ve got monolifts, multiple type of bars, boards, equipment, and spare lifting gear, and a great community that I always see lifting and enjoying themselves. For the strongmen, there are even atlas stones, and long presses.

Even during peak hours, there is enough equipment that you will rarely have to wait. The staff replaces upholstery often, keeps the facilities clean, and always greet clients entering and leaving the gym. Being 6’3, I struggle finding gyms with equipment that is adjustable and that will fit larger and smaller builds, not a problem here either!

The owner Sean is awesome! He’ll always have a chat with you, he’s supportive of his customers, staff, and trainers. Speaking of the trainers, there are multiple different companies that train out of this gym. I have worked with most of them and they are the real deal, Sean makes sure to only work with the best!

Over the years, I have brought so many friends to this gym, and every single one of them love this gym and agree it’s hands down the best, and their favorite to train at. The staff, community, environment, music, equipment, and everything is amazing! Thank you for growing the lifting community so much in Murfreesboro!

Great gym. I’m somebody who just started working out with a few friends, some of whom have also just started. Great environment for beginners or if you’ve been working out your whole life. Doesn’t matter, it’s all welcome. Sean the owner is friendly and you can tell he likes what he does. I had no worries about starting out here, it’s a judgment free zone. Aside from that, all of the equipment was surprisingly very clean and definitely seems to be cleaned and maintained often. Membership prices are also super fair and reasonable. Great place.

Negotiated a 7 month custom contract with the owner and he didn’t put it in the system that way, and sent collections after me when I refused payment after month 7. This was a year ago. Be mindful of their “enhancement fee” of $39.99/yr. Only other thing to mention is that a lot of people complain about having to physically go to the location M-F, between 9-5 in order to cancel their membership after the 2yr contract, otherwise it goes to month-to-month.

Sean, the owner, really does care about his members and the quality of the gym. Be sure to address things with him, he’s open to criticism and will do what he can to make things right.

I decided to get back into lifting after a couple years off. I’ve been to Golds and other gyms and decided to go all in with a membership my first time here. Best decision I could have made!

The vibe is immaculate. There is enough equipment and free weights for any part of the day. Sauna, locker room, cardio etc is all cherry on top.
This gym isn’t any planet fitness and I love that. It’s got a unique vibe and I look forward to walking down the stairs everyday!

Went for my first time today after getting a membership last night. Great equipment, you never have to wait on a machine. It is a judgement free zone and everyone is there to help if needed. Staff is very friendly. Anyone that complains about the “24 month lock-in”, READ before you just sign, that’s your own fault. This gym is awesome.

Do not go here if you have a tight budget. I signed up when I was 17 thinking this would be a good place but not realizing I couldn’t get out of the contract for 2 years. I decided to start kickboxing so I wanted to end the contract however you can’t unless you’ve moved states. They charge 18 a month and 50 per year. If you are late on payments that goes up an insane amount. The men in this place also make me uncomfortable, but they do have a women’s only area it’s just extremely small.

I recently had a troubling experience with Olympus Gym in Murfreesboro, TN, which I feel operates under questionable ethics. When I initially signed up, they never disclosed their automatic renewal policy, a practice I consider borderline entrapment. I entered into a 24-month contract, never anticipating the silent extension of my membership. Shockingly, they continued to bill me for years, despite my not having set foot in the gym for over five years after relocating to Georgia.

Upon discovering this, I contacted the gym to terminate my membership, only to be informed that cancellation required an in-person visit. This stipulation is not only inconvenient but entirely impractical, considering my current residence is in a different state. It seems apparent to me that the gym's owner prioritizes profit over ethical business practices and member convenience. The lack of transparency and integrity in handling memberships is deeply disappointing.

Original review: I have fulfilled my contractual obligations back in July and needed to cancel my membership because I had to be in PA for a couple months with my dying father. Twenty emails later and no phone calls back. They state I need to come to the facility to cancel my $15.00/ per month membership or show proof that I have moved I have not moved. I'm temporarily in PA visiting my father. Have some compassion and make an exception. I trained with Platinum and the owner Sean were wonderful so this bad review is not against them but I can't seem to get a response from anyone nor does anyone care. I have emailed them numerous times requesting to cancel my membership so that should suffice as my thirty day notice. All of the 1 star reviews are stating the same problem that you are stuck with a membership or else they take you to collections.

I’ve been a member at this gym for years.. like second location in Shelbyville long. A few issues arose recently that I was very heated about! However, the owner Sean was super nice and quick to reach out to remedy the situation. I love this gym and will continue to drive my 35 miles 3x a week for a more private workout. Not transparent with a 2 year contract . Pay attention. I have only went one time literally. One session. Within a month I moved almost 2 hours away and tried canceling. No working with me after I had paid monthly for almost a year after this. Now debt collection wants to settle for $300.

UPDATE : Actually the debt collection company is “Olympus” also, I have talked to owner and staff a couple years ago over the phone and they were firm I am stuck in a . I tried canceling after paying 6-7 months of a membership I never used . Ridiculous.

Love this place. It has a lot of machines and a ton of squat racks, benches, etc. If you like compound lifting, it’s great. You rarely if ever need to wait or fight for equipment and generally speaking if you do you can always go do another exercise, come back, and it will be open. The people are friendly. It’s a gym made by actual professionals who are passionate about lifting. It has pretty much anything you could think including all the regular cardio and exercise machines. Also, there is no noise meter or people mad about you expelling air when you lift heavy. The music is also great and not just the lame hottest hits currently. I usually wear headphones though so not the most important one but it’s nice to have it. Anyways, that’s all I got.

Biggest most outfitted gym I’ve ever been too. Tons of weightlifting equipment and plenty of knowledge around there to help guide you in your fitness endeavors. At the price it is a month, even if I had a free gym to workout at I’d have to come in weekly to use the machines you won’t see anywhere else. I had a negative experience with Olympus gym in Murfreesboro, TN. The gym operates unethically by automatically renewing contracts without notifying their members. It is called the Mecca for a reason! Olympus is number 1! By far the best place to work out if you are really looking to make some progress. They have every piece of equipment you could want, no outrageous fees and the best staff I have ever seen, even down to their phenomenal child care. I have had memberships to golds, carbon, crunch, planet, and almost anywhere else you can think of. Thanks to Sean and his team, I will never let go of Olympus.

The true "Mecca of the South" as far as fitness/gyms go. Sean provides a clean, safe, judgement-free environment of inclusion and encouragement for anyone pursuing any type of fitness. It must be infectious, since even the clientele seem welcoming. Dustin of Platinum Built training paired me with Brad for affordable, no-frills, serious sessions to help me reach my fitness goals. I cannot believe I waited so long to join. Do not be like me. Try Olympus and Platinum Built as soon as possible!

Love this place. This is the longest I’ve ever been a member of a gym and that speaks volumes. The owner has given me some of the best advice on numerous topics, not just on working out but on recovering from injuries as well. He’s not a behind-the-scenes owner and that’s just one of the many reasons this place thrives. My kids love going to the daycare here too and that’s also indicative of a well run establishment.

When I think of a gym I think of a place I go to work out that makes me feel good about myself. Olympus is just that!!! My first time walking in Olympus, owner Sean Barber greeted me and made me feel at home. Over the past few months the staff of this gym has always given great motivation and pushed me to becoming a better person. Olympus has great vibes for people who are passionate about fitness.

Only been working out there for about a month. The staff is friendly and helpful. The gym itself is amazing there is lots of space, weights, cardio equipment and machines. I don't need it but they have free daycare.

I was impressed with this place the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by Sean (or Shawn.) Friendly staff, plenty of equipment. For someone as tall as me, there's plenty of equipment for tall people unlike other gyms in Murfreesboro.
I've only been here a week and I already convinced my other friends to sign up.

This is a great gym whether you’re a casual lifter/exerciser or you’re training for a show. The versatility of equipment is unparalleled in Murfreesboro. I’ve been to several gyms here in Murfreesboro and none of the other gyms have near the amount of equipment. The staff is always friendly and welcoming when you come in. Still the best gym around
From child care to staff to the weights themselves I wouldn't go anywhere else this is our home for sure.
It's nice to finally be in a place where it's feels like a home with a gym family and not all the drama and trash you get from other gyms.. love being able to train heavy with dumbbells going up to 200s I finally have no issues getting done what I need to get done
My wife and I love training at Olympus!! We have been to many gyms over the coarse of 15 years
and Hands down best gym in all quality areas. It’s a serious gym, Serious equipment, with a serious understanding of how to treat its members from all walks of life. We are greeted with a sincere smile as we arrive and a farewell as we leave. Shaun is a awesome manager very personable and respectful. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. We will refer anyone to this gym or convince them why they should leave the current gym they are at to join Olympus!! Super clean, positive staff, great equipment, motivating atmosphere! So so Glad we decided to make this gym our gains loader and aid in accomplishing our health goals.

I really love this gym! Everyone is so welcoming and nice and really make an effort to talk to you and remember all the people that come in regularly! Olympus has so much equipment and it’s so spacious! I never feel like I have to wait and can always go in, get my workout done within an hour or so. They also have a womens circuit for women that may not feel comfortable working out in the open areas and it’s closed off for privacy! Which I think is awesome tool for getting used to the the environment until you feel comfortable using all the equipment! Anyway, love this place! Also super affordable monthly so get a membership asap!

Olympus is my favorite place EVER!!! The staff is so friendly and caring, and it really feels like a family. I have never experienced this at any other gym. The equipment is great I have yet to find a piece that Olympus doesn’t have. Not to mention their hours are great. Before I moved to Olympus I struggled with gym hours and having to make my schedule around them, but Olympus is always open and it is so convenient and nice. Overall it’s always a fire workout there 1000/10

Absolutely love this gym! Every time a new place comes in a town there is always going to be hype. I have visited and even joined some but continue to find myself going back to Olympus. The owner is always very nice and accommodating and explains your membership and charges fully and in detail. I have never seen a charge that I did not expect. Even during the Covid months when they were closed he was available to talk to. Their equipment is top notch and I never see out of order for more than a day or two. You will not be disappointed in joining. Truly an all inclusive athletic club!!

I’ve been working out for many years, the professional staff and management treat you like family, you’re not just a no name they get to know the people who workout daily. The gym atmosphere is the best I’ve ever been around. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful and I have made several friends along the way. The equipment is great and there’s so much equipment from free weights to machines to cardio that you never have to wait. If you’re looking to make a transformation the trainers are the real deal.
