This is our second year here and I’m so grateful my girls get to be a part of such an awesome environment. They have learned so much and absolutely love it here! The teachers are excellent and they truly love the students. Mrs. Kim and Miss Melissa are wonderful and my girls adore them. I’m really impressed and excited to be a part of this family for many years to come.

My daughter looooved PBSD and Ms.Kim! The only reason we go longer go here is due to moving an hour away. She still asks for Ms.Kim and her dancing friends, and she really and truly did learn while there and would come home every dance day and show me what they learned (which for 2.5yo I thought was really good!) We're so sad to go, but we LOVE everyone there and highly recommend it!

8-9-25 My daughter and I went to see the play last night and it was awesome. All the dancers were amazing, but the young lady that played Dorothy was the best student dancer I have ever seen. She danced in almost every scene and never seemed to get tired. Bravo to Pat Brown dance school for a spectacular production.

We are wrapping up our fifth year at PBSD and I am so grateful for the supportive teachers and sweet friends that my daughters have here. I have had my preschoolers excited to come learn tap, ballet, and tumbling, and when my then-4th grader started ballet for the very first time she also had the best experience and fell in love with dancing. My daughters also appreciate the opportunities they have to shine on stage. As a parent, I am grateful for the dance teachers and staff I trust who teacher my daughters how to dance and how to become responsible young adults.

Pat Brown School of Dance has been such a wonderful blessing for my daughter! The environment is such a positive atmosphere with a feeling of love, acceptance and discipline. As a mental health therapist, I am reminded daily of the importance of positive nurturing relationships, and Pat Brown School of Dance has met those expectations for my family.

We are going on year 2 of dance and I cannot say enough good things about PBSD! My preschooler learned so much during her first year of dance. I love that the preschool classes are not all just fun and games— but very skills-based as well. They also learn many valuable listening skills in these classes. She looks forward to going to her class every week and I look forward to taking her. Great teachers and great environment! We are looking forward to spending many more years here!

I danced with PBSD for 15 years and I cherish the lessons I learned, friends I made, and the countless memories. I wish I lived close enough for my own girls to dance with PBSD now. No studio will ever live up to the one I grew up in. 🩷🩰

This is the most amazing dance studio you could ever be a part of! Love, discipline, passion, respect, talent, dreams, and brought beyond your potential, that's what is found here! Life lessons are taught here! As well as how to deal with later life lessons! "It's not how you start it's how you finish. It's not how you fall it's how you land!"
Without this studio, I don't know where I would be! This isn't just a dance studio! This is where family makes your dance dreams come to life! The basics are taught here correctly! They build your dance form from the ground up! They know what they are doing and not only love to teach but they love WHO they teach! BEST PLACE HANDS DOWN!

Pat Brown School of Dancing is a fabulous place for your children to learn the art of dance along with many other life skills!! Our two daughters learned ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop at the studio for 14 years!! The instructors are very talented and supportive of their students. Our daughters came away with so much more from their experiences there! Things like patience, perseverance and the reward of hard work!

I danced at Pat Brown’s from 7th grade through 12th and spent 6 days a week there where I made some of the best friendships of my life, and learned valuable lessons about team work, respect, personal perseverance, love, art, emotion, and many other things. Many dance schools provide this environment, but Pat’s is the place for professional & classical ballet training in Jackson and West TN. As we all know, a good ballet training serves us in all other dance forms as well as sports and other physical activities like theater performance or even band/musical performance.

I grew up dancing with Miss Pat. Her love of teaching taught me more than just dance, she instilled in me integrity, morals, and the value of hard work. This is a wonderful and fun place for children. Miss Pat's children are amazing and are keeping her dream alive. Thank you, Scott, Todd, Kim, Tammy and Kevin!

If I could leave 10 stars I would. I have been dancing at Pat Brown School of Dancing for 13 years, and I cannot thank my studio family enough for all that they have taught me. At PBSD it’s about more than just dance, it’s about wanting to see your classmates succeed, and learning to push yourself to be better than the day before. I have gained so much confidence in myself from having to push myself to go farther than I otherwise would have. PBSD has and always will be a safe space for me and many others. LIVE LAUGH LOVE PAT BROWN SCHOOL OF DANCING!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter has gone there a few times, and still drops in to take a class here and there. She is more into tennis, so that takes up a lot of her time. Every time she has went, they have been amazing. I've seen how they work with their students, and the love and passion they put into teaching each and every one one of them.

Meghan was part of the typical Hip Hop dance class for 12 years before she graduated high school. There was never a second thought about her having Down Syndrome or hearing impared, Kim Turner treated her with the same compassion as her other students... just getting more hugs!
Now she's back because they offer classes for Special Needs. She loves dancing and now she once again is doing what she loves. She's with old friends and has new ones as well an awesome teacher, Megan Jones and Kelly too❣️
We have another great family🥰

Our children have been going to Pat Brown for 5 years now and we absolutely love it! They offer so many different types of dance and the recitals are just so good 🤌🏻. During Covid we had to do zoom dance classes and my 4 year old wanted no part in that so Mrs. Kim came to our house afterwards and did the dance in person with her (socially distanced of course). I’ll never forget that.

Our family has tried 3 other dance studios prior to Pat Brown. We finally started with PBSD and haven’t looked anywhere else. When it comes to technique, there is not comparison anywhere near Jackson. The dancers are so obviously cared about and the teachers not just teach great dancing, but also make sure the kids are building good character!

The instructors are so encouraging and have helped my kids learn to overcome their fears of not being able to do things easily. My daughters have fallen in love with dance. My sons have learned to strengthen their bodies in a new way. We love it.

Best dance school in Jackson and surrounding areas! Even though our beloved Miss Pat recently passed away, the studio is still owned and operated by the family with caring loving teachers. I started classes here in 1986 and it is still going strong and expanding, adding new classes all the time including ballroom, African dance, dance fitness, and numerous other interesting types of dance in addition to ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop and acrobats. It's a special place for sure!!
