Absolutely LOVE this gym and its employees! Mikayla and Jonathen are some of the nicest people ever! Especially Mikayla, she does a great job of making me feel welcome and she does a great job of keeping the energy positive! I especially love how the gym rarely makes me feel creeped out, as a young woman it’s hard being in such a masculine area, and when people are stepping out of line and behaving disorderly, they always do the absolute best at handling the situation calmly. So grateful for the WONDERFUL staff!

I was working out at Planet Fitness and they hit the Lunk Alarm on me for supposedly “dropping” 40 lb weights — even though I was simply setting them down. Anyone who actually lifts knows that weights make noise when you’re putting in real effort.

I walked over and calmly asked if the alarm was for me. The employee said yes and accused me of dropping the weights. I explained that I wasn’t dropping them, I was just putting them down and they’re heavy. Her response? “Use lighter weights and work your way up if they’re too heavy.” That makes no sense. If I can lift them, they’re not too heavy.

I then asked to cancel my membership. Instead of helping, she raised her voice, refused to cancel it, and threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave immediately.

This was hands down the worst gym experience I’ve had in any state I’ve lived in. Completely unprofessional, hostile, and sexist. Avoid this location if you value respect, customer service, or basic common sense. Also, if you actually want to work out.

One of the worst gym experiences I’ve ever had.
I was at Planet Fitness minding my business, doing my workout, and got hit with the Lunk Alarm for “dropping” dumbbells — which I wasn’t. I was just putting them down like any normal person would after a set. Apparently, actually lifting weights is against the rules here.

I went to the front desk and asked if the alarm was meant for me. The employee said yes and claimed I was dropping the weights. I told her I wasn’t — they’re heavy, and I was controlling them the whole time. She told me to “use lighter weights” and “work my way up.” If I’m already lifting them, that means I can handle them.

When I asked to cancel my membership, she got loud, refused to cancel it, and threatened to call the cops if I didn’t leave immediately. Totally uncalled for and extremely unprofessional.

This gym is a joke. They claim to be a “Judgment Free Zone,” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. If you actually take fitness seriously, don’t waste your time here.

I started going to this location because one of my best friends began working there. The manager, Mandy I think, has dress coded me twice on items of clothing that I deemed as completely appropriate for a workout environment. Looked online and couldn’t find a thing about sports bras being against dress code- most things I find actually encourage them (what a concept). I had to leave mid workout yesterday because she called me out for not having a tshirt on. I was wearing a sports bra, high waisted spandex, and baggy sweatpants. Walked in with a hoodie that I got too hot in and took off. The first time she coded me I was wearing Birkenstock clogs on my way out the door. This manager doesn’t promote the “judgement free” atmosphere planet fitness loves to aim for.

This location is so small. I travel for work and have probably seen 12 locations in the last year from big cities to small towns and I have never seen one this small. I had to get a secondary membership at the YMCA in Dickson while I'm working in town because it's not functional. There are very limited machines, if you go during busy time you will likely not be able to get on one. People place holding machines while working out on others. There is no room to lay down mat's, so people put mats down inbetween machines. Which is not good for the people on the mats or on the machines. I had to get a tanning membership too because the tanning bed there felt like I was in a jet engine with how loud and shaky it was.

The gym overall has good equipment, but there are a few things that could definitely be improved. There’s a group of Hispanic members who are extremely loud, making it hard for others to focus on their workouts — staff really needs to address this so everyone can have a comfortable environment. Also, it would be great if
much better for training.

I've worked out at a few different Planet Fitness over the year, and this is the only one that has said anything about my shoes. They refused to let me work out there because of them. I've never had a complaint with any other PF, or any other gym that I have a membership.

Late shift staff are rude. A buddy and I were working out, lost track of time not realizing it was 10pm. Instead of coming over or announcing a 15 minute or even 5 minute window that the gym was closing, they decided to hold down the lunk alarm and tell us to "get out". Mind you, the gym only consisted of us two and another couple. I've been to PFs all over, and this one takes the cake for rudest.

I've never in all my years of working out at planet fitness had the employee ask me to wipe the machine while she is doing it. She is in the middle of doing it as I go to the new machine. Plus I literally just got off of it and didn't even get to another machine. Literally within like 2 seconds of leaving the machine she asked me to wipe the machine like a requirement.

I do wipe but I may do it within a minute or whatever. She rushed at me to clean it literally when I got off it. Its quite rude.

I don't like to be treated like im a egg shell vibe. As a black member visiting planet fitness gyms all across United States I've never been treated like that.

I think this will be my last time working out at this location.

This place has stolen my money on two separate occasions. The gentleman reached out to me and told me to take a screenshot and they would reach back out to me to take care of it just to take 25 more dollars out of my account a second time when I called up there, I spoke with the assistant manager for the second time. She was very rude and basically told me to get over it. There’s nothing that I can do about it even though I spoke with her last week and told her I wanted no part of the membership. This place will run you in circles. I ended up paying $50 for 30 minutes in the gym.

I went to the Dickson planet fitness and was told to pay three dollars and I could give it a try. If I did not like it, I could cancel and no money would be taken from my account. I tried it and canceled. They still continue to try to take money out of my account Which this time they took the money out of my account and put my bank account in overdraw when I called they was rude and told me that they could not refund me the money that they said they would never take out and then you get ran in circles when you try to call corporate. I joined a month ago. I haven't been able to exercise as of yet, because of my knee. But it seems every time I go to use the tanning bed, it's closed because air is out. If I can't access the lounge then why am I paying for it? Staff is very friendly.

Sad to say this ab here but I’ve been a member since 2023 but I currently went to a plant fitness in Dickson Tennessee , after working out for ab a hour Mid workout I was kicked out for wearing boot and jeans , I currently came to see some family here in Tennessee and I figured with some time off I’d hit the gym and get a good pump and all I had was boots and jeans granted that’s quite all I wear every day , there little catch phrase is “ judgement free zone “ well that’s a damn lie bc they sure did judge me and kicked me out SO DO NOT COME HERE if it was that big of a deal they should have told me when I first walked in , I will not be coming back to this planet fitness ever again

I hurt my neck and upper back area and I went to sit in the massage chairs to help me feel better. Couldn't get to a chiropractor but the massage therapy helped me feel better. Comfortable environment. I get inspired when I go in there because I see so many different types of ppl working out. Whether it's the older ppl getting after it or the young mothers trying to lose weight after a new baby. Whatever the reasons they are all putting the work in. That's what it's about. Go to the gym and be inspired to do my part to inspire others as well. Even at times I don't work out, the massage chairs will put in work for me and help me relax or feel better. Free massages daily if u want it. Or u can tan once a day if u want to. Plus always able to bring a friend with u everytime. It's worth the $ for sure. I highly recommend it. They keep it clean and nice and the staff is always kind and helpful. 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟🌟

I had a great experience with PF, but in the year and a half I was a member, I only went once. It was not due to facility being lacking. It was just taking me about 30 min. to drive there so it just felt too difficult to carve 2 consecutive hours out of my work day to work out. I just found myself always opting for doing yoga at home due to the convenience. I moved to Burns, TN from Santa Monica, CA about 2 years ago so I'm still adjusting to not having all my modern conveniences within a mile of my home.

4 star simply because this PF is out of room. Really need to expand. The times that I am available to be there are very crowded and working a circuit is impossible. Come in with a plan only to abort and have to piece it together. Great equipment, just need more of it. Another thing, and most likely out of their control, is the parking spaces are way too small. After several door dings, I have learned to park well away from everyone else.

As a bigger lady I was so scared to go to the gym. Walking through the doors was a nightmare for me. Although from the first moment of walking in the staff was very kind warm and friendly. The staff was helpful and supportive. They explain things to me even when I had to ask multiple questions. The atmosphere was nothing like I had imagine. Everybody mind their own business and nobody’s paying any attention to the fat lady walking on the treadmill, and with that being said, it was easier to come every day even after I fell I was horrified, but nobody laughed. Nobody even paid attention. I just got right back up and started again, so if you have a fear of going to the gym like I did if you can just put your foot through the door the staff will take very good care of you. I am now very comfortable, and I feel like I’ve gained a little confidence by taking the first step.

Impreseed by the staff (Lisa and Lillian) for keeping up on machine sanitation and supplies. They even cleaning equipment on their down time. I've been to multiple locations where paper towels or cleaning solution were empty and staff had zero interest in changing that, even after being informed. Ultra clean, friendly staff, weights, machines, and all things cardio, are working fabulously.
The atmosphere is relaxed, tanning rooms are clean, well kept, and locker rooms are so sharp, with showers.
There are some serious body builders here in the early mornings and the gym is open 24x7.

Ive been going to Dickson location for 3 years now. I’ve been to Franklin, Tn and Bellevue,Tn locations and Dickson, Tn is by far the cleanest one. They are constantly taking shifts on cleaning and dusting. The bathrooms are always clean. Rachel is great at her job. They greet you when you walk in and tell you to have a good day when you leave. Dicksons Celsius drinks are cheaper than the Bellevue location as well. The only thing I will say is we could use some additional machines for the weightlifting people. Hack squat machine, lying hamstring machine. I heard other members saying we have too many treadmill machines. Dickson only has 2 gyms so more lifting options would be great.

Not a bad place for beginners not my cup of tea. for starters the location is small there isn’t any room to actually workout. There are so many people that go to this gym that anytime of the day you’re having to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to get off a machine even though they’re just sitting on their phones and the staff aren’t enforcing their don’t be on your phone on the gym floor policy and on top of that if you use chime banking you get over charged so I had the black card paying 24.99 per month but ever since I started working out there it’s been $40 + per month and all they had to say was sorry no refunds or anything like seriously just because I bank with chime. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend. This is not a gym it’s a fitness center and a joke

You barely get what you pay for. Dont expect the water fountain to work. It's frequently broken. Expect to wait to use the machine you want to use.

They were very welcoming and nice. They even showed me how to use all the equipment, and do the 30 minute workout. I love how the app has a crowd meter on it. The equipment is clean, and in great working order. Lots of flexible hours to go

I am absolutely loving my planet fitness experience and I'm falling in love with the gym all over again! It's been several years since I had a membership to a gym, but the no commitment special made it so much less intimidating to try out. I paid for the Black Card Membership so that I could get all the perks and make going to the gym feel more like a spa luxury than a chore; and it has been amazing. The hours they're open are perfect for my schedule and they're never too crowded for my comfort. The bathrooms and locker rooms are clean and come equipped with huge mirrors and hair dryers, the showers are clean, and usually unoccupied, so I can shower and get ready for work after my morning workout. Once a week, on a rest day, I'll go in to get a tan or use the massage chairs. The staff has been super friendly and helpful as well. The gym itself is stocked with everything I could ever need to burn fat and build muscles, from stair climbers, bikes, ellipticals, and treadmills to free weights and weight machines and so many others that I don't even know yet. I plan on getting the most out of this gym and it has been seamless for me to add this into my lifestyle. I feel better than I have in a long time because I'm doing something that's going to benefit by body and mind.

I’ve been coming here for 2 years and every single day I am greeted by an employee, Zoie. She is always cleaning and helping out wherever she can. She would give me the shirt off her back I just know it. Someone give that girl a raise!

Can’t workout in jeans and if you are paying a membership you should be able to wear what ya want to wear longs you are comfortable

So I come often. Almost everyday. And when I come with my bf I've noticed that I'm always asked for my Eyewear but never is my bf asked to show his. Seems a little discriminatory. If ur looking for a gym, this is more of a beginner zone. If ur looking for free weights and really feel manly. This isn't it

Definitely not open 24 hours as it says it is! After paying for a membership I come at 9:15 to find out that planet fitness is closed! False advertising at its finest!
