One of the best Planet Fitness’s I’ve ever been to. They have plate loaded machines, numerous cable and pulley equipment, and even real power racks with platforms and bars. Plenty of space and the diversity of equipment is really impressive. This location is definitely at the level all other PF’s should strive to reach.

Edit: they went through a much needed renovation and it’s been great to have so many new machines and the facility overall is much cleaner!

I’ve been coming here for a couple years but this place has been falling apart in the last couple months. The men’s bathrooms are always disgusting and never cleaned, and one of the stalls has been out of order for a month. Every single (5) stairclimber is out of order and has been for weeks. It’s honestly hard to count the machines that are actually working. This used to be a great, affordable place to work out but they clearly can’t keep up with the maintenance and cleanliness.

First time here, and its amazing. Clean, staff was very nice and welcoming. Definitely one of the best. I will say I came from Alabama active at Planet fitness for 8 yrs. I never once seen a basket full of free tampons in the ladies lock room. Im super impressed with this. Kudos to yall 👏

I'm so disappointed in the remodel. They don't have regular ellipticals now. Only the high step ones which I avoid due to hip problems. The paper towel dispensers aren't conveniently located. The front desk and lockers are farther from the entrance. Equipment seems to have been placed randomly. I've been here since 2016 but I'll be looking at different gyms now.

The Hendersonville, Tennessee franchise owner decided to close this location without notice for what is rumored to be at least 3-5 weeks. The phone line doesn’t connect through to anyone. I have left a voicemail to the franchise and sent two messages within the app inquiring about whether my payment will be refunded pro rata until they re-open. As indicated on the contract. I have not received a response and still cannot get in contact with anyone at the location. After 10 years with Planet, I have cancelled and switched gyms.

I want to compliment the young lady and gentleman who were working the evening of 04/02. I observed another member approach the counter yelling at both of them multiple times bc she didn’t want to download the app to check in. They were professional despite her ugly attitude. The woman tried to be combative and the young lady held her composure. As someone who works in customer service I think it is important management knows how well they both handled the situation with someone who was clearly trying to bully them both.

Have been a member for almost 9 years. Good equipment most of the time (sometimes the machines are broken or need maintenance that sometimes takes a while to repair) and friendly staff. While the gym has a rule about preventing people from talking on their phones while on the weight machines, they do not have a rule about people playing on their phones or watching videos while on the weight machines.Many times people are sitting on machines doing nothing but looking at their phones for extended periods (sometimes 5 - 10 minutes or more) and not exercising. While some people may let you work in with them, many others act like the machine is their own property and won't let you work in even if they're doing nothing but playing with their phones. It's happened a number of times to me and management says they can't do anything about it. I can't understand the difference between talking on your phone and playing with your phone if the effect is the same by keeping other members from using a particular machine. While I understand using a phone while on the cardio equipment, it's just poor management letting people hog the weight machines while they're just playing with their phones. It may be time to look for another gym in the area since there are many to choose from now. Hopefully the other gyms police the users a bit better.

OVERCHARGED AFTER CANCELLATION

I came in to cancel my monthly membership because I did not use it anymore. I filled out all of their paperwork in person to cancel the membership.

They continued to charge me for the next three (3) months despite cancelling. I called them to dispute the charges and to receive a refund.

Their manager declined the refund for two (2) out of the three (3) months because l “didn’t have evidence to prove my membership was cancelled.” I didn’t know I was supposed to keep their records for them but apparently at this location you do.

Please ask for and keep a copy of your cancellation so you can have your “evidence” if you find yourself in a situation like mine.

I recently switched from the Y for several reasons; more equipment, more variety of equipment, better hours and lower price.
Staff is always helpful and friendly.
A special shout out to the following FAB four: Gavin, Luke, Griffin and Jacob.
These guys take customer service to a whole new level!! They are incredibly efficient, personable and helpful! I don’t know where you found the FAB FOUR but please hire more people like them in the future and they all deserve a bonus for being the very best ambassadors you could ever have for Planet Fitness!!

I have to say I am bit disappointed in Planet Fitness. I called in after my guest was denied to work out today because I was physically not there. I spoke with Desi and she said that my black card guest is not allowed to go there without me, but he has never had an issue before today. I googled this very thing and google says "The guest can visit the club without the member if they are 16 or older and have the membership card" So now I am just really upset with this Planet especially when I am paying $26.00 specifically to have a guest. You might have just lost a customer Planet.

It’s okay… keep reading.

If you are someone who tends to focus entirely on the workout and you know what you’re doing, and if you don’t care what other people do, then this Planet is one of the best. It’s clean, the staff is friendly, there’s plenty of machine diversity, and they have plenty of services for black card holders.

If you are someone who is bothered by people who have no regard for what are supposed to be the rules or if you are bothered by people who lack common courtesy and gym etiquette, or if you don’t know how to find alternatives for the muscle(s) you are trying to work when your target machine is taken for your entire workout, this might not be the Planet you are seeking.

People sit on equipment for extremely long times on their phones. They show up in crocs, bedroom slippers, flip flops, or sometimes no shoes in sight. You’ll also see far too many wide open “muscle” tanks on dudes - you know the ones… cut down the sides from armpit to waist. A ton of people don’t wipe down their machines after they use them. Some people overcorrect and use way too much cleaner and leave the machines soaked LOL at least they cleaned it. Gallon milk jugs full of water everywhere. Weights get dropped regularly. All of the things that set Planet Fitness apart do not exist here aside from the trademark purple and yellow. My last gripe is the app - the crowd meter is not accurate whatsoever. 3 bars means it is packed.

Working out late at night is always an adventure, but this gym takes it to a whole new level! Picture this: I wanted to use the tanning bed, but there was no one at the front desk or on the floor. So, I went on a quest to find an employee. Lo and behold, I stumbled upon a guy snoozing in one of the massage chairs. He looked like he'd been having the nap of his life!

But wait, it gets better. I knocked on the office door, and I'm pretty sure I heard snoring coming from inside. Apparently, the gym doubles as a hotel for its staff. 😂

If you're looking for a workout AND a scavenger hunt, this is the place for you! Just make sure you're prepared to wake someone up if you need anything. Three stars for the entertainment value though! ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

They might just catch the crew in their natural habitat—snoozing on the job. This isn't my first rodeo with this issue, and it's not always the same night owl either. This has happened so often that it's practically a gym tradition! I've roamed around the gym, knowing that on some visits, they're actively trying to get their maintenance work done. However, on my last visit, I looked for them in the restroom, even stood guard outside the other restroom, and not a single staff member was in sight for the 45 minutes I was there!

MONITOR THE 30 MIN CIRCUIT TRAINING SECTION!!!! Almost every time I try to use that as it is intended I end up having to skip one of the machines because people can't read the sign that tells them not to camp out on those machines!! I only got to use 9 of the machines. I usually just skip it and come back but I went through 2 more step workouts and another machine and she was still there... I was so mad I ended up leaving... no cool down, no streatching. This has been a problem at every PF I have been to and no one seems to care about fixing it or even keeping an eye out to stop campers!!! Almost hate going here because of this! I struggle with my weight and I love having to option of a planned workout without much decision making but this really turns me off... would only take someone actually walking by once in a while .... I mean dang the workouts are a min long how hard can it be to figure out someone isn't getting up after 1 minute?????? Please for the love of all that is holy FIX THIS!!!!

I've gone here several times and every time it's been a great experience. People are hogging the machines and are very polite if you are waiting to use something. At this gym you don't have people that are staring at you and making fun of you if you weren't the same size as them or if you are somebody that is just getting started. Tried other gyms in the past and it's always a case where people seem to make fun of you if you aren't doing anything the same way as them (this doesn't happen here). It's a great place and I really enjoy it!

I went in this morning to inquire ask about a membership. The two young people (a male and a female) at the front desk were extremely slow to acknowledge me and looked at at me as if I was interrupting their conversation. The young female did answer my specific question but then told me the easiest way to join was to get the app. So, I assume you can’t join at the gym, or maybe she/they couldn’t be bothered with soliciting new members on a Sunday morning.

I have belonged to a few gym/fitness clubs over the years. This Hendersonville facility is probably THE cleanest and most well organized of the clubs I’ve belonged to. The staff are courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The other members I’ve met are friendly and non-judgemental. This environment makes for a pleasant & productive workout environment. My wife and I recently moved here and our old fitness club had been closed for almost a year. She joined too. The atmosphere at Hendersonville Planet Fitness has us quickly moving towards our previous exercise levels.

I stopped in while I was in town from my travels. Lance was eager to answer any questions I had, and walked me through the whole registration process. He was so patient with me! I had never really been to a gym before, so I felt a little out of place when I walked in, but I really felt like I was genuinely seen and valued by Lance, and the whole team!
