I stopped by my local Planet Fitness today to check it out, and I’m really glad I did. The gym is currently undergoing a remodel, and from everything I was told, there are some great upgrades on the way. The two associates at the front desk, Liv and Tony, were incredibly friendly, helpful, and informative. They walked me through the upcoming changes and really made the place feel welcoming.

Their energy and the way they explained everything made me excited about what this location is becoming. The remodel sounds promising, and I hope they continue adding features that the fitness community is looking for—like more free weights, straight bars, and weight plates—because those additions would make this Planet Fitness truly stand out against other gyms in the area.

Thanks to the guidance and positive experience with Tony and Liv, I signed up for my membership on the spot. I’m looking forward to seeing the final results of the remodel and watching this location grow into an even better gym that I my self would love to work or be a member of the gym.
I would definitely recommend checking it out for yourself and get a head of the rush of new members at the beginning of the year as I did for only a dollar.

Great quiet place to work out, not too keen that in the past year the sub 25 people they've hired have moved the clock forward and tell people that they're closing an hour and a half before hand then coming up to every individual to remind them like 45 minutes before hand. I get there's no closing duties and all they need to do is lock up and leave but it doesn't do great for morale of your members to constantly remind them you need to leave. I promise we'll all be out by or before close.

Antonio, the gentleman at the counter was so polite and informative. I came to cancel my membership (nothing to do with the gym, just have kiddos and limited time) he was very understanding and it was such an easy process. He informed me of everything I needed to do to make sure I get my receipt so that no more money was taken out of my account. If you have anxiety doing stuff like this can be dreadful, but it truly was an easy process.

It's a lot darker in this gym than many others and most of the equipment is in very rough shape. I'd wish they'd take that annual fee we all pay and repair / replace the equipment.

Edit: the response from Planet Fitness is laughable given the numerous reviews of failing equipment. It's so bad that I shouldn't even need to bring it up to the club manager. It's clear that this gym needs a massive refresh of machines.

The gym is not doing necessary maintenance, the poor kids at the desk cant fix broken things and it appears nobody else cares to. Youve got multiple broken paper towel dispensers (if its not convenient people wont use it. This means equipment not being wiped) youve got worn down equipment causing pain or irritation by using it, we
all know its not 24 hours anymore but membership didnt become cheaper either. The owners or managers dont speak to their members at all, and clearly arent making the repairs or doing necessary maintenance. No number for managers so reviews it is.

Great location but very poorly maintained. Many old and broken or squeaky machines. The locker room is pretty gross and I would NEVER use the showers. The staff is very nice and does their best, but don’t have a lot of control over the big-ticket upkeep needs at this location. It’s like it’s been left to rot.

I recently started coming to this location
North Broadway and there is a young man named Ethan that is running this location and his employees have been absolutely amazing with customer service… Shayla and Jasmine have went above and beyond customer service… I have needed assistance several times these ladies have excellent communication and have been very patient and helpful and very understanding…
I will choose this location every time for my gym and tanning needs…

I recommend this location to everyone!!! I don’t live near by but I drive out of my way bc this is the way I want to be treated anywhere I go!!!!

The tanning beds always have bulbs out but the staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. The hours have not changed back to 24 hours which is a huge disappointment. The newly added machines do not fit smaller bodies but I guess that's most gyms. The management is also pretty bad. I wouldn't come here again.

I walked into Planet Fitness feeling really upset because they wouldn’t cancel my membership without a death certificate for Chester Kalama, who just passed away in Rome. I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. However, once I arrived, the assistant manager, Cheyenne, greeted me with kindness and understanding. This place had been THE most disgusting gym id ever been in and id been to multiple PF before. Filthy machines, walls, bathrooms, showers, everything. Staff just stood around talking at the front desk. Idk how many times id gone to tan, took off all my clothes, laid down, and then nothing- bed was never turned on so i had to re-dress, go back to the desk and do it all over again. A LOT of malfunctioning machines and paper towel dispensers didn’t work well, broken soap dispensers and shower heads.

That all deserved 1 star but giving 2 because recently it seems they got better staff and the last couple times id actually seen a lot of cleaning going on. FINALLY. They also touched up paint in areas like where mats are hung so it looks fresh. I stepped onto a treadmill last week and immediately could tell it was missing a foot or something as it rocked under me. One of the staff was walking by after filling bottles and i told him. He was very friendly, immediately did a quick check to determine the problem, left for an out of order sign and then thanked me kindly for alerting him of the issue. Great service right there! I really hope this place continues to turn around because PF can be a great gym for the every day client.

I’ve been with this place for over 5 years. It has always been just the place for me as I am a senior. The layout is near perfect. The equipment is consistently working and even UPDATED recently. Other means of equipment involving cardio have also been added for physical challenges besides the normal bicycles and the the bikes with backs. The place is always clean and the staff cleans constantly. The locker room is clean and shower areas are well kept plus the bathroom facilities. I’ve had simultaneous memberships elsewhere and have deleted those. The is the right fit!

What the heck???? The gym was just fine. Some of the lights were out and it was a little dark but otherwise everything worked. Until I went to take a shower that is. Every single one of them was broken. One actually would work, but tended to flood. None of the others had a soap dish, one was missing half the shower head, another one actually had a shower head but it would just sort of leak out of it. Not really useable. The best one was probably the one that was missing half a shower head because at least it had water coming out of it. Now I've got to drive stinking and covered with sweat to a truck stop or maybe another Planet Fitness to get a shower because I'm nowhere near home.

Explained to the staff every month that the app doesn't let you pay until a late fee is applied, and I've had to face that every month for a year. This place is a headache, the people don't greet you when you come in, nor are they knowledgeable about how to handle your account

We moved out of state and they refuse to cancel our membership. They keep giving us the run around. We were lied to and told on the phone it was cancelled. We called once we were charged again and told we had to cancel in person. We went in person and were told we have to send a letter requesting cancellation. We've sent letters. We're still being charged and, further, they renewed our membership. I guess we'll have to file in small claims court to get our membership cancelled and money back.

The cleanest PF I've been to. By far larger showers than the crawl space Emory road calls a shower. Great helpful staff, I work night shift so I come around 2am and Micah is a great guy, super helpful and is always busy cleaning. He didn't have help for a while and kept this huge facility clean, glad he has good help now, i believe his name is Bryson.

I like the area, close to many shops and food. I on the other hand have been to 4 other locations and this Planet Fitness is in desperate need of upgrades compared to the ones I have visited. This gym has the lowest grade tanning beds compared to their other locations. Also their massage chairs need upgrades. The equipment is also in need of upgrades.

This location is amazing!! I just wish they would extend their hours to open earlier and stay open later on weekends. I have a new baby and I can only work out now at night or early in the mornings, but every time I want to go it’s 9 pm on Friday and they’re closed or right now at 5:30 am, but they don’t open until 7 am.

Most of the staff are very friendly but some also act like they’re bothered by the tanning beds etc., offered with the BlackCard membership. BUT someone needs to have the fans both inside & the one sitting outside of the stand up beds. And most of the people don’t even clean the beds after they use them so I always do but by the time I do that & get myself ready to get in, the bed has already started. I ALWAYS clean after myself. That’s why I only give 3 ⭐️s. It gets so hot within 5 minutes that’s it’s unbearable. I’ve asked about this several times hoping someone would take the hint but the matter hasn’t been resolved in over 8 months! I tried one 2 weeks ago & as soon as I walked in that room I knew nothing had been done at all. Also, I’ve peaked in over time after I’ve used the lay down beds or the massage beds & nothing has been done. Other than that, the place is clean & I enjoy going. I just see a lot of negative thoughts on the same subject in a local group on FB. Somebody fix it! Geesh! ** Also, this is the only PF I know of that closes early on weekends. Literally had no idea until today. It was 7.03 pm & a guy with his son told me they had closed. I thought something was wrong & so did he at 1st. Until, after them being there for 15 minutes, they were closing at 7 pm. That’s the hours on Sunday.

This facility has a large variety of different equipment pieces to choose front to be able to do about any kind of workout youd like. they have 2 different types of massage chairs, and tanning beds that dont cost extra to use. Also showers are available for those that want to use them. They do have a referrel bonus of 1 month free for every person you send a link to that joins. The only drawback is that they close early on weekends.

I would never recommend anyone to join this place. The staff isn't friendly at all. My husband recently joined this club. He had to pay $65.25 at the very beginning (in February), which broke down to $49 as the annual fee, $10 as the monthly payment, and $6.25 as the startup fee. On April 1, he was charged again for another $49 as the annual fee. We went there and talked with the staff about this, and they said the amount he paid at the beginning, which was $65.25, is the startup fee and that's why he had to pay $49 again. They said when he was joining the club, the startup fee was $59. It's obvious they change their words to suit the situation.
Even though we tried to explain, they didn't agree with us and said this is not under their control. This is really disappointing
