What has happened to this Planet Fitness, only 1 person working today, no paper towels in the machines, machines are always broken, I know she was by herself, but there were lulls when she could have put paper towels in the machines, instead she just stood at the counter looking down. For the price we pay for our Black Card memberships this should never be the case. Helll give me the key to the machines, I'll put them in. It's sad in todays day and time no one can think without being told, there are other options out there and maybe it's time to explore them.

I recently moved to the area from out of state and have been checking out local gyms. When we stopped by this location, we asked if we could take a look around before getting a membership. Instead of a warm welcome, we were immediately told we had to input all of our personal information into a kiosk just to get a tour.
We politely declined and were told to leave and as we stood near the entrance for maybe 15–20 seconds just glancing at what we could see, Robert approached us and told us that if we didn’t want to provide our information, we needed to walk out the door.
It was an incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience. First impressions matter. Especially for new people in the area—and this one made it very clear that customer service and courtesy aren’t a priority here, as I see many other reviews of people being kicked out for no reason.

Went in today to look at the gym and most likely sign up for a membership (x2) and was told to walk around the gym and look that i would have to "register" which is just a sham to get your contact info and spam your phone and email and I asked if it was a safety waiver or just to obtain my contact info and was told "it's sort of a waiver". I politely declined to sign up since it was indeed not a waiver of any sort. After I declined I was leaving and decided to stop by the front door for 15-30 seconds to look at what I could see from the entrance since I wasn't allowed to walk around and look at their set up and machines. While I was looking from the front door for that brief 15-30 seconds some funny looking little fat bald dude came up to me and my girlfriend and said since we won't "register" with the gym that we can "go ahead and leave". Fortunately I liked the set up of the gym and will still most likely sign up but just wanted to point out the laughable service given by the funny looking little bald dude. As I was going to write this review I found out there are many bad reviews on said funny looking little bald dude. Maybe it's time for a change of personal for him.

I’ll never workout at the church at pf again. It’s filthy. Dust or dog hair all over the floor. Vents that aren’t cleaned. It’s mold. I get a headache every time I go in there. Manager needs to give this place some attention and keep it clean especially when working out and needing clean air as lungs open.

Showers have a lot to be desired. Water goes from cold to hot when any other shower is used. Showers leak all over the floor posing a fall hazard for everyone.
Planet fitness has some work to do. This is common for planet fitness, I have been to about every planet fitness from TN to WYOMING.
BOTTOM LINE, you get what you pay for. However, considering I pay for the Black Card Membership and pay a yearly fee of 49.00, I guess I just thought things would be better.

I usually really enjoy going here and have no issues, which is why I hate to leave a low review, but I wanted to bring something to the company's attention. This sounds terrible to say, but the free memberships for teenagers is ruining the experience for the adults who actually pay to be there. Ever since June 1st when the deal started, there have been swarms of teens just standing around machines to hang out and not actually using them. They just seem to pick spots to hang out in groups and then no one can actually use the equipment in the area. Last night I had to wait an hour to use the hip thrust machine because a group of 5 teenage girls set their yoga mats up all around it. They weren't using it, just hanging out on yoga mats surrounding it. I haven't seen any of the teens actually working out.

They are also loud and disruptive. They yell and shriek. At one point, two teen boys started racing each other back and forth across the gym as they scratched their rears making monkey noises.

I feel that parents are just signing these kids up and dropping them off to get rid of them for a while. If this persists, I may have to go to a different gym this summer because this is insane.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Me and my friends were attacked by Robert the front desk clerk. A few days ago we tried entering the gym when he stopped one of my friends saying that she had an overdrew balance and could not work out when she was told a few days prior AND had printed on her contract that her she had gym access until April 16. He was aware of this and told by his manager that we could enter. Tonight when tried to go back he laughs in our faces as we’re scanning in and says “he can’t wait to tell us this” and that my friend can’t come in and starts yelling about how she doesn’t pay her bills and continuously laughing at us that it “feels so good for him to say this.” He then tells us he’s going to have us trespassed and “please stay five more minutes” and begging us not to leave before the police get there. While on the phone with the police he reads out loud her name and address for anyone surrounding to hear and then tries to have me trespassed for recording. We feel extremely uncomfortable after this interaction and like it could be racially motivated. To be a customer service worker and treat people like that is unacceptable and I hope he is dealt with

3060 South Church Street Murfreesboro, TN has nasty & disgusting showers and dressing rooms and toilets. FILTHY, chunks of mold floating in shower floor. Cold showers and every few minutes a burst of luke warm water, I shiver the whole time and my teeth chatter. ALL the money they make and don't offer hot showers, a complete disappointment, who wants to shiver and shake and not enjoy their shower after a workout??? The floating black chunks of mold from where the floors are not cleaned properly with proper scrubbing and sanitary cleansers to kill STDs and other diseases to keep from spreading from customer to customer, more than disgusting and unprofessional!!!! Might as well not have showers! Toilets are not any better, I don't use them because it's obvious they do NOT properly sanitize the showers or dressing rooms therefore you know they aren't properly cleaning the toilets of sinks areas either. Just down right shows how the absolutely do not care about the customers health or well being at all in any way but readily have their hand out every month to take the membership fee!!! These photos are from two different visits to this location which is my home gym. Lazy employees is all I can say and ungrateful money mungering owner of this location franchise and the photos more than prove it, actions speak louder than words!

I've been coming here for 3 years and I usually don't have any issues or complaints, but I am bummed that they recently removed the assisted pull up machine. Also, two of the stairmasters and one of the leg presses have been down for almost two months which makes it very difficult to be able to utilize these machines when it's busy.

My wife and I enjoy this location of Planet Fitness. There are lots of treadmills and standup elliptical machines. There are only 2 sit down elliptical machines. Many elderly people like myself who have had knee replacement need to use this type machine. My wife and I have a hard time getting this equipment because so many elderly people use it. There definitely needs to be more of these machines. The trainer at this location is very good. He conducts classes and takes each individual’s situation into consideration in designing their workout.

I have been a member since first year on church st . People are usually helpful and pleasant. I have had joint problems and use the recumbant eliptical. Over the years i have begged for another one. Many older folks use this machine. Sometimes i leave when both are taken. Many times one is out of order which makes the problems worse. I have fussed with others about how nice it would be to have 1 or 2 more. This year my membership more than doubled. Maybe this year the money can be found to purchase another?

I've been going there for a few years. Recently, I've needed to wait on the recumbent seated elliptical. There are 2 pcs of equipment there, with one out of order. Being over 65, this is the perfect piece of equipment to get your cardio if you have knee issues. But having to wait constantly now, with the second unit needing repair. I believe the 2nd unit needs to be repaired asap & a 3rd unit to be added. You have more standard elliptical units than needed. Keep the senior customers in mind please!!

For about a month one of the five stair steppers have been out of service. The machine is a big part of my workout. This morning(4am) I couldn't get on the machine because it was already a line of people waiting to use it. I come early in the morning to avoid these challenges and today that wasn't the case. My experience with this planet fitness has been a very good one. I had a membership about a year ago and I had all these problems. Well, I came in to open up a new membership and group of employees has been a lot more helpful than my last go around, especially Jeremy Wright, I would highly recommend the planet fitness on S. The bathrooms have not been cleaned properly in over a week. The bathroom smells so bad that you can't to be in there!!! The unrinals and toilets are dirty and smell! The showers and stalls are dirty and smell bad! The floors have trash everywhere. While the bathrooms are dirty and smell staff like josh stand behind the desk and play and laugh with each other. And when you do ask for something from him he's rude to me and my guest which doesn't even want to come back. The level of customer service is a joke . And he thinks it's funny to make jokes about members to other staff. We pay as members for a level of customer service that should meet or exceed our expectation. "And they do not". Because of this review my membership was canceled in retaliation for speaking up about the gym's problems. "And this is supposed to be a judgment free zone place. "What a joke plant fitness is"

One of the best Planet Fitness locations in the country. As a long haul trailer I get to utilize a lot of their locales. This one stands atop most. The layout is great for all aspects of working out. What truly stands out is the staff. Most notably Edilene the night shift crew member. I have been here several times with her on duty and each time her work ethic is impressive. She diligently walks the gym floor and cleans each and every machine thoroughly. Which is highly impressive given the size of this location and number of machines. Great job !!

Overall pretty good place like most Planet Fitness locations. They do have a urinal in the men's room, however, that smells terrible (the other one doesn't so it may need repairs). Equipment is nice. The black card spa is also nice and I hope they will upgrade to the Cryobeds that I have experienced in other PFs(I know space is limited but no one ever seems to use the couch area in the BC lounge)

Best value for the money, time and getting myself back into a regular fitness routine. Being older and really out of shape doesn’t matter. There is something for everyone. The 30 minute circuit course is just what I need starting out. 2 to 3 times a week makes it less intimidating and easy to maintain. For crying out loud, open the South Church Street gym location. Every gym in town is OPEN and the main roads are CLEAR. WHYYYYYY ???????

It is some 7+ hours later. Still no legitimate update from PF South on their operational plans. Members must plan their schedule and yet nothing from PF South other than web says closed due to inclement weather. Really? Cannot tell us the plan for tomorrow when literally every gym in Rutherford County is open for business and every PF in Middle TN is open.

Typical for most retail-type businesses (this business) is for a CONTINGENCY PLAN in the event of unusual circumstance s. (eg - The manager or assistant manager step up and man-up to open the doors "if hourly employees cannot make it in" or at a minimum have minimal snow hours like 9-3 or 12-6).

It is difficult to understand how a manager or assistant manager that lives in Rutherford County cannot step up and come to work

Can I suggest a contingency plan be put in place going forward so as to avoid this type of business / management misstep / failure. Learn from this please. This may be an overhaul of employees and management at the local level

Literally, just now, they have updated the web to say closed due to damage repairs due to inclement weather. If, in fact, there was damage due weather (frozen pipes is only thing that can come to mind here) it should have been stated UP FRONT and it should have been handled immediately so that your membership could enjoy all those great benefits touted

Love this gym but they got a big problem that is just getting worse everyday. The sanitizing paper dispensers are not functioning properly. The gears are stripped and you are hard pressed to get anything out to wipe down equipment. Furthermore, if they are working, a very large percentage are out of the paper rolls. This is very frustrating to say the least. Want you to clean the equipment but not arming you to do so.
And, please do not respond by saying to "talk to one of our staff members". I did that and they were so nice and kind but informed me of the reality that management does not listen to the staff workers. I then asked this person if they were referring to local management or corporate. They stated - BOTH.
Therefore, unfortunately, I do not see this problem being alleviated because it has been on-going for about 4 months +
