I already loved this planet fitness because it’s clean, close to home and had great hours. When I tell you they MAJORLY knocked it out of the park on their recent big remodel…. It is insane. Basically like they took anything members could have asked for and got it. Reworked the floor with some new equipment and better use of space. Upgrade on all the beds. And these futuristic vending machines with everything you could possibly need. Headphones, protein snacks/drinks, sports drinks, tanning supplies. They really nailed it!

This gym is more on the smaller side compared to other planets fitness. Pay attention to the times they close. It seems they aren't open 24 hours on the weekends. The vibe is not bad when going. If you like going when no one is there go early on the weekends or late close to closing.

I enjoy this Planet Fitness and even during peak hours you can still use the most coveted equipment, being the Smith machine, after waiting 5-10 minutes. This location is clean and the staff generally attentive. Recent renovations have spruced up the aesthetics and added substantial free weights.

I had a serious medical emergency at this Planet Fitness location
and cannot thank the staff enough. Allison, the manager, was amazing—she kept me calm, provided first aid, and directed paramedics right to me. Sam, the assistant manager, also deserves huge credit; after everything, he took care of the cleanup and later refused a gift I offered, saying he was just glad I was okay. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine care went far above and beyond—Planet Fitness is lucky to have them both!

The renovation is nice. But the staff has a much smaller area than before. New flooring, new lockers, upgraded shower stalls ( but kept the old tiny shower heads) and divided one changing room in two, with no chair. Still has lots of great machines for working out!

The young lady at the front desk must be five years old because I asked her simple questions about my account and what I needed to do however, she just sat and breathe on the phone as if she needs to personally be there working out herself instead of an employee, horrible customer service I wouldn’t drink a sip of water here but I ran to leave a review faster than I would have ran inside of that gym.

I have never in my life left a one star review, but frankly it feels warranted. The staff here is deeply unhelpful and has done an incredibly poor job disclosing costs of membership (ie the $49 annual fee) Immediately upon signing up in the gym I was talked down to and treated as if I couldn't possibly understand what's going on around me. When I had a simple question I was treated like an inconvenience. I didn't even get to work out due to renovations which also made it so that I could not cancel my membership. I know that I look young, but the male staff speaking to me like I'm a 12 year old child was just so upsetting.

I thought we were over racism but it's loud and clear at this gym. I've been going to this gym for years but the change in staff has brought around new changes. To the women of color who work at planet fitness who snarl their nose and make faces at white women who want to use tanning beds do better act better grow up. The world is full of diverse individuals. And if you can't be a customer service person without an attitude, maybe you shouldn't work in a gym. I guess I shouldn't be surprised.This is the same organization that let men in the women's locker room. Do better do better or do better.

Planet Fitness is a solid choice for the everyday gym goer looking for a good workout with plenty of equipment. My local location tends to get busy after 5:00 PM, but it's much quieter earlier in the day or later at night. This facility of the area planets I would put at the lower end..the bathrooms need improvement and more attention to keeping the shower and toilet area clean..the workout area is nice and functional..the area you're in here is one of the areas of town you have to be aware of you're surroundings,..it's not unsafe..but there Is alot of homeless in the area so be aware.

They have a laser scanner that verifies your ID through their app. Unfortunately, it’s always pointed up toward your face. It rotates down to make scanning safe and I always fix it when I check in. But someone changes it back every time.

I want to work out without getting a daily shot of lasers in my eyes. I wish they would fix it. Talked to the staff and they didn’t seem to understand the issue.

The whole place, bathrooms, equipment and all, is constantly kept clean. They have a wide variety of machinery and have planned workouts on the app so you can work on anything you want. Cardio, arm strength, legs, chest, weigh loss, or just staying fit. They've got you covered. They also have both high energy and low calorie drinks up front, such as my personal favorite, Gatorade Zero. The staff is always super kind and helpful. I was afraid of going to a gym as a teenage girl, but Planet Fitness has always been an incredible welcoming environment. Not once have I been stared at, received gross or crude comments, and not once have I felt unsafe. I love it here.

As staff of planet fitness at another location I can say that this PF is lacking. I’ve been to a few other locations, but none even close to as filthy as this one. Cleanliness needs to be placed higher on the priority list, there’s dust everywhere and floors look like they haven’t been vacuumed in days. Dust EVERYWHERE!

Certainly not up to par with the standards PF has for cleanliness. Whoever audits this location needs to reiterate what it means to keep a clean facility.

Also, no chairs in changing rooms? Black toilet seats?Shower floor pans are black with dirt.. that’s wild… Dirty walls, mirrors, counters..

The first Planet Fitness I've ever been to.

Overall, I didn't have a terrible experience when I was here. The gym is pretty spacious, and the atmosphere is chill. The equipment is clean, and the men's bathrooms were also clean (when I was there).

The only thing I didn't like about this one, in particular, was that they only had one leg press machine, which was a bit annoying at times. I remember having to wait for someone to finish on the leg press machine, and they just sat there for a little too long. Lol.

During my first few days there, several of their stair climber machines didn’t work. I believe they eventually fixed this, though.

I also couldn't get one of the massage chairs to work, but that was probably just me doing something wrong.

They had plenty of other equipment, though. You could focus on functional strength with free weights, do a quick 30-minute workout on one of their numerous treadmills or bikes, and even relax in one of several tanning rooms.

The staff was pretty friendly. I never had any issues with them during my visit, and they always greeted me when I came in, if they saw me.

I also saw them actively cleaning, so they weren't just hanging around at the front desk glaring.

There were several other PF locations around Nashville, but I'll always remember this one as my first Planet Fitness I've been to in any state I've visited.

All the showers are missing vital parts. Can you tell me what they are? Theres no hot cold mixer nor is there any soap dispensers or a place to put your soap.They expect you to sit on the floor in the changing rooms? They are fully staffed but Noone is actively cleaning the locker rooms? They are filthy. It's only two toilets and some floors so it should be spotless at all times. Come on Nashville.

Overall... it's not a BAD gym. But there are enough negatives for me to justify a longer drive and go elsewhere.

As mentioned in several other reviews, the bathrooms stay filthy.

You have a 50% chance of 50% of the stairmasters working. They're constantly down... get fixed for a week or 2... then go down again.

And if you're disabled or handicapped, be prepared to walk, as the handicap parking is always taken by staff members (looking at you, blue Nissan).

EVERYONE SHOULD CANCEL MEMBERSHIP and NEW PEOPLE should not come here .
I ll explain why :
On aug.19th I was on vacation with my family, we were driving back from Florida by camper .

My child (one of four) had an accident in camper and it was the worst day ever for me and my wife. Emergency came and took her to hospital and she had a surgery. My wife was with child in hospital, I was with 3 other kids , one of them is 18 months baby .

We couldn’t park our CAMPER (size of regular car) near hospital (hospital is located in downtown Nashville) so I had to find a place to drop camper for a couple of hours so I can EMERGENCY GO TO HOSPITAL AND BE WITH WIFE AND child while surgery was happening.

I saw on maps this location and I drove straight there , PARKING LOT was 90% vacant-more than 90% free spots . MY CAMPER IS SIZE OF REGULAR CAR.
I walked in with 3 kids , talked to women at front desk , her name is ELLIE (or Elli), explained the situation, ASKED TO DROP MY CAMPER ON ONE CAR PARKING SPOT FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS - she saw the kids and there was blood on my shirt from accident…
I nicely explained the situation and told her that I need to take baby to my wife to hospital for breastfeeding (baby was crying) - SHE SAID “NO , YOU CAN NOT USE ONE PARKING SPOT TO PARK YOUR CAMPER FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS”.

I was in shock. I didn’t ask for anything special, I asked to park my camper for a couple of hours because I can’t drive far to park , I had to go back to hospital to be with my child .
I explained everything again and she said NO !!!

I was in shock .
I drove down the street and parked my camper in ZEAL CHURCH parking lot , people there told us to park and drive back to hospital right away , they saw kids with me .
I parked on one parking spot and my camper was there for 4 hours. Surgery went well and everything was fine .

So , woman who works at front desk in Planet Fitness (Ellie) is not a human , her reaction is not reaction of human being. Animals would not do what she have done . I don’t want to compare her with animals because it would be disrespectful for animals. She is not a human being.
Management at this location should be PUNISHED by simply canceling memberships and not renewing new memberships . People shouldn’t be around these non humans, non human employees at this location, especially Elli .

There are many fitness locations where you can go , where people want more business and where people are human beings , where people don’t literally hate kids and want to hurt them (Elli knew that she is hurting my kids by doing this).

Let’s punish them , let’s make a reaction, let’s teach them a lesson.

Cancel memberships , do not renew memberships, CHOOSE OTHER PLACE FOR FITNESS.

I will contact local tv stations to tell them about this situation. Expect local tv reporters at your location to report about this non human behavior .

Update- the owner answered that “situation like this is ABNORMAL…”.
My answer is - there is nothing ABNORMAL about asking to park camper (car parking size, one parking spot in empty lot) for 4 hours because a child is in hospital having surgery.

It’s ABNORMAL how NON HUMAN REACTION was provided by PLANET FITNESS . Your reaction is not HUMAN reaction and you should be ashamed of yourself.

EVERYONE SHOULD STAY AWAY FROM PLANET FITNESS, let’s show them together that they can not behave like non humans . They can’t hurt kids intentionally .

Went to this planet fitness over a month ago to cancel my membership. The employee told me my membership was cancelled and that I wouldn't be charged for that month. Not only was I charged that month but I was charged the next month. I don't even wish to leave a Star. I have never been treated Soo rudely in my existence at a Gym. I have been a Black card holder for years. Rarely even utilize the membership. So I take up the least amount of your productivity or real estate so to speak. I work too much to have the time.

I'm disgusted with the lack of professionalism and courtesy at this establishment. I am disgusted your company has such a poor I.T. department and you do not maintain your clients throughout your chain.
If you're going to have "Non Franchise" locations please have the professional courtesy to change your/their company name.

I go to this PF regularly as I'm closest to this location. Over the past few months it has declined in cleanliness so bad. Today was the worst I've seen for the women's locker room/restroom area. After working out, I like to rinse off and change clothes to enjoy the rest of my day while I'm already out and about. So, I went to do that today, and this is the nastiness that I walk into it. Bloody tampons/packages on the back of the toilet and in the shower floor, blood covered tissue with a noncovered razor with blood on it in the floor infront of the shower. The showers have buildup like they haven't been cleaned in months. This is sad and a shame that we pay to use these gyms and the amenities, but no one seems to care about cleanliness and safety for us. Sad.

Muy mal, mi pareja vino ha incribirse, no habla muy bien inglés, vino al gimnasio y la chica que está en la entrada se mostró muy muy muy grosera con mi pareja y no le quiso explicar. creo que regresara más. Patrons are not as friendly as other gyms. Some staff is super friendly some of the newer people are not. Lots of hot chicks. Gets crowded AF mon-thursday around 4pm

I just recently found out that PF don't have contracts. I was told that I could cancel a membership and they kept taking money out of my account after I told them I had a medical issue. Don't let them ppl lie to yall! Their is no contract!!!!

This is why I haven't came back to PF I was under the impression that you all do contracts.

It gets too crowded sometimes, especially after 7pm. Always been a gym girl, so this place treats me well. Don’t know if it’s a USA culture or something but there are no trainers or gym specialists to guide you as a beginner, at least I couldn’t find one. I also don’t see where to keep my car keys and stuff safely while I workout, have to carry it everywhere. Ofcourse there are lockers but how do I make sure they’re safe. But overall, so many machines to choose from if you know what you wanna do. The best part is that you can get various massages done at the end, they have tanning rooms, hydro massage,etc.

I was in town for the weekend and my friends have passes so I went with them. When I asked about drop in rates the staff said don't worry about it, go enjoy a workout. It was clean and for being busy I didn't have to wait for any equipment. Lots of options for equipment. I'm not a fan of guided racks for squats and dead lifts but it still worked for me. I will be back next time I'm in town

I’ve been to a few different PF locations in the middle Tn area, and this location is by far the most spacious, organized and cleanest among them. Staff is always up cleaning equipment etc. very friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere at this location.

Terrible customer service. I was charged for several years for a membership that I thought was my sons. Come to find out he was paying for a membership and I never used Plant Fitness but paid the bill. I discovered the oversight and the manager offered me nothing in return for my having paid 4 years for a membership that was never used! Unbelievable! I’m contacting the corporate office asap but was told not to expect anything. Really! To this day they have not reached out to me. They must incredibly incompetent people lacking leadership or integrity’

Staff is friendly when they’re not on their phones or trying to chat up the opposite sex! My main issue is that I’m not a tanner but went 3 days this week and did full time in #1 #3 #5 and I never even got red!!!! Like how does that happen? Are the beds just really bad or have the bulbs never been changed? Very strange to me I was scared I’d be burnt but nope 3 beds and 4 days later still no tan skin or really any color change at all’
