Great class, similar to Ashtanga. I attended Flow Flow Yoga. Just need to be prepared for heat.

Sana’s yoga classes are a safe place. I’ve been going to Sana for 3 weeks now and I have fallen in love with yoga practice. The teachers are knowledgeable and encouraging. I feel stronger in every class. The hot high intensity classes are too intense for me, but the yoga classes are excellent!

Beautiful & clean studio. The heat is spot-on IMO after 28 years experience with hot yoga. Have tried several of their classes, and all were very good. Cathy's 26/2 class is great- put it on the schedule regularly please!

My friend invited me to try Pilates and I gave it a try. After class I thought I would never try again because I hate being hot. I had time to reflect on my class and realized how free and proud I felt. I decided to keep going and now I enjoy it. It’s an opportunity for my mind to focus on me for an hour. The staff is really nice and I feel welcome. Give it a try. You will so proud of yourself!

The atmosphere at SANA Yoga is amazing—everyone is super friendly, and the receptionist always greets you with a smile when you walk in. You can easily have a casual chat with the staff, instructors, or other members, which makes it feel really welcoming.
They offer a great variety of classes for all levels, and for me, the hot yoga is a big plus. I hadn’t done it in a while, but I recently got back into the routine and it feels great. The nice thing is, you can go at your own pace during class, no pressure.
I’ve taken a few classes so far, and the experience has really helped me de-stress. The studios and bathrooms are super clean, and they’ve thought of all the little things—showers, hair dryers, lotion, Kleenex, those small touches that really make a difference.

what a wonderfully hidden gem of a yoga and pilates studio! the space is clean, well organized, instructors are SO FRIENDLY and push you to really give it your all at each and every class. They have an assortment of classes scattered throughout the day and week, which means there's definitely something for everyone. I took advantage of their 2 week unlimited class promo for just $39 - so worth it! got to check out and try out so many different classes at different times to see which ones worked best with my scheduled. I am definitely getting a membership!

I've tried several class times with varying instructors at the East Memphis location and will say that every instructor and class has been nothing less than great. Atmosphere from entrance to the studio, during class, to exiting is very welcoming and non judgemental.
One thing that I might suggest is to reconsider having cubbies by the bathroom door just for crowding purposes before and after class.
Otherwise, this is my go to for hot yoga!!!

Sana Yoga is a great studio. The instructors are top notch. They are all very supportive and friendly. The sana sequence is excellent for improving overall strength, flexibility, and balance.

There are certain features and conveniences about Sana that set it apart from other studios: mirrors on two adjoining walls of the studio, spacious lobby, amenities like makeup removing wipes in the bathroom, and 6:30 and 7:00 weekday evening classes.

The studio is very clean and well maintained - the bathrooms have a few helpful hygiene items! All of the instructors/staff are welcoming and encouraging. The classes are adjustable to all skill levels and the coaches will give corrections and praise during class. The two-week trial is a great way to start as it gives you time to explore different class types and instructors. I've really enjoyed my experience so far and will continue to go especially to their community classes open to non-members.

Sana has great classes. I wish they had earlier classes because the 5:50am class often runs a few min long and that’s a little late to make it to work at 8am. When you sign up they don’t mention to you that you’re entering a 12 month “commitment” and won’t let you cancel before that 12 months is up so BEWARE.

This place is fantastic. I decided to enter due to multiple pains in my back that did not even allow me to straighten up, I felt that starting yoga was going to do better than any therapy and here with only 3 classes my back pain disappeared, the stretching the body was crying out for. Fantastico, is a combination of energies balanced by the environment that offers full of positivism and exercises that combined achieve fantastic results in the body, mind and spirit. I love Sana. I have been to lots of studios over the years and this is, by far, my favorite. Everyone is welcoming and I love the Sana sequence. I do wish there was more variety to who teaches the Flow classes. If you don't like one of the instructors for Flow there aren't really other options, especially on weekends There is also a tendency for some classes to run late which leads to chaos in the studio at certain times of the day.

My third class and I really enjoy this place. I didn't know exactly what I was getting into when I was invited to "hot" yoga but I wasn't expecting the room to literally be 33 degrees (90 Fahrenheit)! The classes kill but I always feel amazing afterwards. The people there were friendly and the instructors are really encouraging. Christina does a really fun, energetic class. I don't remember the name of the Yin instructor but Yin Nadra was super relaxing after a long day of work. I'm not flexible at all and the yoga poses are difficult, but the instructors will take time to correct your poses and make sure you are not injuring yourself. Gonna keep trying this place out.

Edit: it is very pricey. Bring your own yoga mat!

Hot yoga is an awesome form of isometric fitness training. It has been around for about 50 years now with its origins in Japan as developed and first practiced by the now infamous Bikram Choudhury. Many excellent forms of hot yoga have since been created and are now practiced throughout the world. "THANKS FOR INTRODUCING ME TO SUMITS YOGA STUDIO" (YELP EVENT)
I consider my yoga practice my take time for self practice. This is by far the best practice. You practice your yoga poses. Stretching and flexibility and movement. Within...Your mind and spirit. You are expelling toxins by sweating and breathing. There is a lot to be said about the breath and deep breathing techniques while doing yoga. It helps focus your mind on the moment and to not focus on the heat and others in the room. The mirrors are for focus on your form and figure. This is a great place to practice. There was different forms of music changes, lights that turn on and off and those moments of cool fresh air that rushes a sense of well being. All that stimulates the mind and body. It's really something to experience and to regularly practice. Not to mentions the huge CALORIE BURN. You can EARN and BURN...at Sumits Yoga Studio. I will be back!!!!

Yay, Sumits Yoga!!

I had a great first experience here.

The staff has a check-in desk right at the front door to fill out your paperwork the first time you visit - so there was no confusion from the start.

Amy, the yoga instructor, was not only soothing and encouraging, her teaching style is laced with a technical approach to ease you into each yoga position.

The yoga session, I forgot the name of yoga style she explained, also had a set of stomach crunches in it. Loved that! Amy was also great with giving us little breaks that were right on time, but not too long. :-)

The class had moments when you moved fast through series of positions and other moments when you went through slower series of positions.

As Amy gave us instructions, a staff member was taking the class so it was REALLY helpful to have a frame of reference for each position because I haven't done yoga in a while.

The locker room area was also clean and well thought out.

I left feeling rejuvenated and a few pounds lighter of water weight. Yeah! ;-)

I have every intention of returning!!!

Joining this yoga studio has been life changing. My boyfriend and I enjoy seeing these people every time we go to class. They have all the knowledge necessary to conduct a phenomenal class. They treat us like family each time we walk through their doors. They work with you at your own level and encourage you to be better. Sumits yoga has been life changing for the both of us. We seriously don't know how we lived without it before. We tried Bikrim yoga and we just were not happy with what we we're getting. It seemed very military where as Sumits is calming and relaxing. They also play great music during the class. It's an amazing workout and an incredible sweat. If you are willing to sweat and workout then you have to try this place out. Tatiana and Amy have both been incredible instructors to us. We can't wait to take more class with all the instructors!
