I've been working with Cary for about 6 months, and I've have a great experience! When I started, I was 3 months post-partum and looking to do recovery work and incorporate more lifting into my fitness routine. I really appreciated that Cary took the time to assess and understand my situation and create a very personalized plan to help my meet my goals. Because the sessions are semi-private and I've seen what other clients are doing, I can confidently say that everyone has a very personalized regimen. In what feels like a relatively short period of time, I have made a lot of progress in my weight training and improved my body composition and muscle tone even beyond where I was prior to my pregnancy. I also appreciate the flexibility in scheduling and different options for purchasing sessions. I highly recommend working with Cary at Sense Movement & Exercise for any fitness goals!

I have been working with Cary for about a year. I have neuropathy in my leg and nerve issues in my lower back and hip. Nothing has been able to help the pain. Since I started working out with Cary, my pain has reduced, I am gaining muscle in the areas I had atrophy and my overall strength has improved. He is very conscious of positioning me correctly, where I will not hurt myself. I’ve learned so much about my own body and strength training. I highly recommend Cary if you have any type of injury or if you are looking to improve your workout.

Sense has been terrific. I’ve dropped almost 20 pounds in 5 weeks and feel and look much better. The wonderful fitness trainer, Cary, has worked around my shoulder and back limitations to customize exercises to exactly what I need and am able to do - and now I am able to things I could not at the start. Give them a call if you want a knowledgeable fitness trainer with the built-in accountability of showing up and the simplicity of having someone else tell you which exercise to do next and how many reps. Show up for an hour and watch your body strengthen and transform. And for other busy working folks, the onsite showers (with towels and body wash) is a nice extra touch. Exactly what I was looking for.

Cary is a tremendous trainer. His attention to detail and his knowledge have helped me begin to regain my strength and mobility after months of no exercise due to injury pain. He checks and corrects my form, if something doesn't feel quite right, he's a master at coming up with tweaks that make sure I'm using the right muscles for the move, he is encouraging and makes it fun, while still being serious about getting results. If you are looking for a completely personalized, safe, targeted and effective approach to fitness and longevity, it is not only alive but delivered very well at Sense Movement! Cary’s research and evidence based framework for success was applied to me, my movement history and my goals for the future. Constantly monitoring and accessing my form, stamina and ability, Cary produces a systematic workout individualized for me. He varies every session with exercises that build on one another to enable me to safely achieve my goals and likely go well beyond them. His demeanor and calm approach inspire me and make me feel supported and encouraged to do the workouts. He makes me feel we are working on this together and working smarter not just randomly approaching my fitness.
I am a 56 year old mother of four kids. I have always been active but never had a real plan for my workouts beyond the next charity bike ride, half marathon or hiking or ski trip. I never focused on goals spanning my whole life. So, when my gym closed recently, I accessed my current health level and realized I needed to pay attention to strength and fitness in a new way. I did some research and found that with natural declines in ability as we age, I needed to be doing more now to do what I want in later years without getting injured. I needed a gym that included an emphasis on and someone educated in and practicing Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS). Or, I would end up with an injury and likely not maintaining the fitness level I desire. Cary is not only certified in DNS, he has spent his life studying effective movement strategies and programs. I wanted to tap into his knowledge and get a SMART plan to meet my fitness and activity goals including backpacking trips, skiing and 100 mile bike rides long into my future. I wanted DNS and other important strategies integrated into my fitness plan to enable me to build a muscular skeletal frame that will take me actively into my 90’s so that when I get there my abilities are that of a much a younger person. After just a couple months, I am seeing my biological age decrease as I feel younger and stronger with each workout. I can’t wait to see where this takes me! Thank you Cary!!! It just makes SENSE!

Cary B. put us on an exercise enhancement regime just before the 4th of July. My wife and I have done both the dual and personal sessions, and both options have differently but positively challenged us as we're moving towards our personal fitness goals. He has a calming demeanor and always monitors our techniques, breathing cycles and proper form...the key fundamentals to fitness success. Cary also listens to any fitness challenges we're having and provides smart and efficient feedback. It's now Labor Day, and we've reached several of our goals already! I actually look forward to each training session and his progression-based approach to improve my overall fitness, health and subsequently physical look and feel. Cary's the "bomb of fitness" and I know he'll help you to reach your goals too. Nicole is an amazing Pilates professional. She has an in depth knowledge of the body and body movement.
It is truly amazing how she can diagnose movement issues and come up with activities that reverse the issues over time.
I could barely bend my right knee when I started working with her.
My doctor advised surgery but I tried Pilates before going down that road.
The benefits were immediate and in addition to my knee my posture and overall physical well-being increased dramatically.
I have continued working with her for over 8 years at least once and often two times a week.
