Ken was so kind to let us drop in on his Saturday class. Best yoga flow we've had in a long time. Room was not scalding hot and he was very attentive to making sure we were comfortable. Asked permission to correct bad form. Loved the cool down treat! (IYKYK) Fantastic workout and recommend to anyone visiting the area for a drop in. Would love it if you came to the Midwest! Thanks so much! -Marie, Megan and Tink (WI, MN and TX)

This is a wonderful experience. Strong instruction with no judgement. I’m a beginner and am not able to do all the poses accurately yet, but I don’t feel alone or judged. Everyone (instructors and students) is so nice!

I really loved this intimate, down to earth studio. It’s very diverse with a lot of different types of people. I tried one of their gentle flow classes, and it was great for getting back into yoga, or for recovering from a rough week! They were very helpful and kind as I had forgotten my yoga mat. They have lots of props and will encourage you to modify and use the props as needed -just an all-around great experience. I’ve been to some studios in town where they are super prissy and very self impressed and oddly aggressive/bossy/judgey so I much prefer the low-key vibe here!

This class was just what I needed. Lots of movement and just enough of a push for strengthening too. Laura was a wonderful instructor.

***Update2***I love my 6am classes. On Mondays, Emily D. is so empowering! Our flow is meditative and hard. But my upper body strength has so improved, just this am, able to do Crow (almost correctly) and did an almost unassisted headstand today!
***Update***After their trial special, I decided to become a monthly member--affordable rates if I average three times a week. Love the variety of classes and easy ability to join remotely when I'm traveling for work. Here's my previous review with some updates. Post-pandemic, I’ve only had two classes at Serenity Power Yoga, and feel as if I’ve finally come back home to a yoga community. I did not realize how much I missed this, a non-judgmental, local studio, slightly heated, serving all ages, and all capabilities. Plus there’s casual laughter and a sense that although students are committed to the practice, no one is taking themselves too seriously. I took one of the hardest classes with HIIT and had to take child’s pose often. It was hard and I was sore, but I can’t wait to go back! Then at the other spectrum, the deep stretches from a Sunday afternoon of The Renew Restore class set me up perfectly for my work week. Suggest downloading their app to navigate the class descriptions and schedule. I’m trying them all. Their 6am class is perfect for parents or folks needing to get to work. Plus the “to go” window of Crieve Hall Bagel (I’m not affiliated with them but the sourdough bagels are so good!) is within feet of the studio! The studio owner's husband runs the nearby Yogi's pizza place (fantastic NY pizza)! The studio is convenient to North Brentwood, Crieve Hall, Oak Hill, Woodbine and Forest Hill neighborhoods. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Robyn's staff of experienced and creative yoga teachers keep me coming back for a variety of classes. Even as a virtual member, I feel connected to the in-studio environment and am treated as a member of the class, not an observer. If I miss a week, I am itching to get back. What a wonderful addition to the Crieve Hall (and beyond) community.

I took Sheila’s 9am Monday class today. She is such a great instructor and I left feeling calm and peaceful. She creates a place that is safe and nonjudgmental and her class is appropriate for everyone from beginner to expert. I’m so grateful to have this place to practice yoga.

Emily leads a yoga session with excellent combination of strength, balance and stretching. She also “reads her audience “ and adjusts to it. Very glad I went today.

I completely enjoyed the class taught by Ken this evening - he made me feel welcome as a first timer as did the other class participants. I am so grateful to have this yoga studio close to where I live with such diverse class options!

Update: The YOD (Your Own Determination) Class which combines yoga and the HIIT (High Intensity Internal Training) left me feeling super energized to conquer my day! It provides the best cardio workout and the deep stretch which so many of us desperately need during this busy, festive season.
Love this neighborhood studio. Great instruction, hands on assists, and welcoming vibe. My previous studios were both casualties of Covid. It's good to be back to practicing amongst community.

Absolutely my favorite yoga studio in Nashville so far! I have never had so much fun in a yoga class, and never felt so supported and seen. Ken creates an approachable atmosphere where you can ask questions, try, fail, laugh, and try again. If you, like me, have ever said, “I’m not a yoga person”, then I would urge you to give Serenity Power Yoga a try. It is most certainly a “come as you are” place that would be suitable for all levels of experience and fitness.

Hey everyone, either in the Crieve Hall area or nation/world-wide. I can't recommend Serenity Power Yoga enough. I am privileged to say I have known Robyn, the owner of this beautiful and encouraging community, for ever! Her passion for yoga and community is strong. Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced for a bit, there is a class for every level. I love the YOD-Yoga+HIIT energize flow and encourage all to give it a try. I also like to slow it down a bit and be more intentional with my flow. Check this studio out, plus is that you have the option of in-studio OR virtual classes, where you will also feel the energy coming at you through your screen. Huge thanks to Robyn for this studio and community! See you on your mat soon - the first step is always the hardest, but I will say it is worth it.

My dad and I were in town for my birthday and purchased visitor passes. We took three different classes - the YOD HIIT blend, the Strengthen Power Flow and the Yin-Yasa. The first class was with Robyn and the second two were with Carol. Both Robyn and Carol were super sweet and welcoming and it was great to wake up and get our bodies moving before experiencing everything Nashville had to offer. Classes were great; people were great. You should drop by and support local business. I highly recommend!!
