Greatest yoga classes ever! There were not a lot of authentic yoga classes in this area; when I found a class it was $15-20 per class. I felt I had been blessed by Shiva when I found studio 22. Raj is great. I can't say enough good things .

I have the info you would need to know before going below...
Review : We had never gone to Yoga before. I had done a few pregnancy yoga classes by video a few years ago and was not a fan of how they kept pushing you to extreme discomfort but I went with my 12 (almost 13) year old daughter to this beginners class on a Saturday and we had a wonderful time. The instructor was a real yogi not just a 'workout' person if you know what I mean. I am so glad we found it. The whole experience was beneficial, relaxing, physically challenging and also meditative. We absolutely cannot wait to go again. We were afraid we would not fit in or keep up but it was so welcoming and relaxing. If you are looking for authentic yoga and more than just a workout- go here. I usually do not leave gushing reviews but the experience was literally amazing; we were amazed.
Fast facts to fulfill my local guide duties:
They have the mats and everything there you will need. Come in stretchy pants , t-shirt is fine. Socks or no socks.
The yogi was a man who had been doing yoga since he was 5 and teaching 11 years. He is amazing at it. He isn't pushy.
Ages and fitness of the other people in the classes vary. Get there a few minutes early. Seems judgment free.
It's directly ACROSS the road from the Episcopal church (the "Craigmiles" church with the mausoleum and the little iron and rock fence around it) on Central. The parking there is parallel. It is right in the middle by a cute local boutique.
When you go in there is a spot to put your shoes (by the door) in some cubbies under a bench, which we did not notice at first (sorry.) We were a bit late and in a hurry.
You can download a schedule from the website or check it on Facebook. There are weekend and evening classes also and they post them on FB regularly.
They answer text messages. You don't have to make an appointment. Pay when you get there. They take cash and cards. Classes seem to be $5 per person.
If you read all of this you need to go try it honestly. This is great.

Fantastic experience! Excellent job talking the class through the poses and proper alignment. Attentive to greet each person and ensure all needed equipment was available. Will go back!

Iβve been looking for a yoga studio like this for years!! The guy who owns the studio really focuses on the mind/body connection and using your breath to move into the poses. I always come away from the classes feeling completely relaxed in body and mind. Each class is $5, which is amazing because you get 1.5 hours of yoga and a face massage! Another point of awesomeness, in the bathroom, there are extra hairs bands and tampons, which really speaks to the peaceful and nurturing environment this place holds for all who come!

Raj is fantastic. My husband and I were brand new to yoga and he made it very enjoyable. We are regulars now and our flexibility has greatly improved. Great date activity.

I love Raj's yoga classes. I drive from almost an hour away for them. So they are a random treat for myself. But each class I've taken from him, always relieves any sciatic back pain or issues I'm experiencing. He is a healing Teacher.

I absolutely love the classes here! I have only attended evening classes but they have been wonderfully relaxing and invigorating. The instruction is clear and easy to understand. Use of props is encouraged, so you can get the most out of your time in class. Treat yourself to this experience!
I love it!

The business license list the owner of Studio 22 yoga as a "Mr. Rajesh Maggirwar"
Are Rajesh Maggiwar and Raj Yogimitra the same person I am confused?
Yogimitra or Maggirwar either way I enjoyed classes that specifically Raj taught.
My rating is due to classes I attended with the other instructors.

I've been to a beginner's class a few times and am absolutely loving it! I have no previous yoga experience, but still feel very comfortable in the class. It's only $5 per visit, and previously has lasted about an hour and a half per visit. I definitely plan on going often!
