We visited during their designated open play time with our 2- and 4-year-old kids and were told we couldn’t be on the equipment with them, which is ridiculous given their ages. We respectfully moved to the other side of the gym, only to be told not to move anything because a class was going on. It makes no sense to offer open play while also running a class and then scolding parents for trying to supervise their kids. On top of that, half the equipment was broken anyway. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Be prepared to pay a couple months after you’d like to cancel.
The website had no way to cancel and no one responded through email or was there to handle in person. After finally getting a response a way to cancel magically appeared front and center on their website. This happened to me a year ago but I recently ran into someone that said they had the same issue when they left.

I highly recommend Tataru’s!! The gym is huge and has a variety of every gymnastics activity there is! You can try everything until you find what fits you best! My daughter is excelling each and every week! If your child is interested in gymnastics Tataru’s is the place to go!! Also the location is right off of Lovell and so easy to get to. The staff is kind, professional and disciplined! My daughter is learning so much from amazing staff!!

My children did like the classes but we had to leave because the air quality in the structure is not ok. Dunno what it is but circulation seemed very poor and, I always ended up with headaches after going there, so I started sending my kids in on their own. This didn’t sit well with us, so ultimately, we decided to leave.

We gave notice by email before the 15th of January which, as i recall, was the requirement to leave at the end of January. We were paid up for the month of January because they bill you on the 15th for the subsequent month. They said we can’t just leave, that we have to unenroll via website.
While trying to fill out said unenrollement form online, the calendar only allowed us to choose February 12th as unenrollment date. I completed it still. However, i subsequently received an email confirming unenrollment on February 28th!

We have now been billed for a full month, for 4 children, even after giving reasonable notice. We were never late with payments. We did not owe. Even an exiting employee is only required to give 2weeks notice.

All this notwithstanding the fact that they are aware we weren’t able to attend most January classes… lots of sickness around as we all know. Not a single call to ask “are your kids ok?”. Nothing else matters it seems… as long as there’s money in your account for them to take..

I believe that this is quite unreasonable. We were never late with payments. We did not owe. Even an exiting employee is only required to give 2weeks notice.

Needless to say, I do not recommend this business. The star given is for the coaches.

UPDATE after call with the owner:

We spoke and i listened to his explanation but when i tried to explain that i simply expect the same courtesy of being charged a prorated fee for our exit, just as we were charged prorated when we joined (because we weren’t prevented from joining in the middle of their money-charging-cycle), he indicated that he just called “to be be kind”, not to listen to my input on how he should run his business. So i told him; “no, thank you and goodbye”.

I believe that we are owed at least a half a month's fee back.

I gave notice before the 15th of January. I had hoped it would suffice for a January 31 exit. This would be 2weeks notice.
Upon following the website’s dis-enrollment calendar however, it only allowed a February 12 dis-enrollment. I still signed off on that thinking ok, 30 days from notification is not too too bad.
This is not what happened though. We were charged for all of February.I cannot imagine that any reasonable person can ever consider it fair to be required to give 45 days notice to leave a kids gym.

And, whether or it is my body's sensitivities that's the problem isn't an issue. I did notice that no one else seemed troubled by it and, this is why i chose to leave quietly. I would have mentioned this to the business if I had been asked so that they could check if they wanted. But no one asked why we were leaving. I had 4 children attending the gym. I was pulling out all 4 and no one, not one person asked why.

So, again, i really dunno that this business is about the kids' success/wellbeing and family, but it's probably a "good" business.

This is our go to place when school is out. The kids love going to open gym. It’s a big place with lots of room for the them to run around and try new things. Highly recommended for kids with lots of energy

You want proper fundamentals taught to your child you found your place! As a parent I am happy my daughter is learning skills and my daughter is happy she is having fun!
Coach Ryan’s class is one you want your son to experience! My son has gotten exponentially stronger (shows on the playground) and his confidence has grown because of COACH RYAN!!!

My daughter absolutely loves coming here for beginners gymnastics. Huge gym with lots of stuff to practice on. Friendly teachers. But the best part is her class is always small. Just a few kids each time so they get more one on one interaction with the teachers. Love it here. There's also a place upstairs for parents to sit where you can see the entire gym floor.

Great place to take the kids, if the place was clean. Dust so bad on the ceiling and equipment. The stuff is so old that falling apart bathrooms was somewhat clean but the vents were totally black full of dust. The place needs to get cleaned up chalk on the floors, but not there for the kids to use on the bars just cleaned the place up ceilings was full of dust under the trampoline was so bad that my granddaughter said It the walls so bad of dust I won’t be Because the place is not cleaning enough

Good option for an affordable kids birthday party that includes 1 hr of play in the gym, then 1 hour upstairs for food.

This is a hidden gem. I love how it can accommodate both intense athletes and also really young toddlers all at the same time. The place is also huge, so it’s able to allow a bunch of people in there without necessarily making you feel like there’s a bunch of people in there.

My daughter's coach, Miss Adina, is very professional and caring. She makes sure the kids learn the proper way to do their exercises, and she has the perfect balance between discipline and fun. The class she teaches is the best we have ever been to, I tried several gym places and this is the best. Miss Adina makes sure that kids do have fun but she also ensures that they make progress in their learning and has excellent teaching methods to motivate and reward them. My daughter has made so much progress and she always looks forward to learning with Miss Adina !

The staff is rude and do not seem to care if they bring in service or not. Brought my kids in recently to try out a class, to see how it was. One of the instructors was nice, and seemed to care. But everyone else acted like they were too good to listen to our questions. ALSO, they never answer the phone. I’ve tried for months to get them on the phone, with no success. Because of this, I had to sign my child up online only, made a mistake, and the secretary was reluctant to helping us fix the mistake. Hello, I am trying to bring you business. Common sense says to be friendly and flexible with future clients. And worst of all, the secretary scolded me for having my youngest out there with me, while I was trying to watch in the back, dark corner of the gym. Just trying to see my crying child on his first session and how he was being handled. The lady said if my other child was out there, I was going to have to pay for her to be there, for open gym. There was not another living soul around us. It’s not like we were playing and taking advantage! Don’t worry lady, we won’t be coming back.

We took a smaller play group today to "open gym" thats actually not really open gym. They have classes during open gym. The play time was horrific as they were barking non stop order at the kids from across the gym in most cases. Half of the equipment is off limits while the other half is in class use. While yes I can understand the 1 kid on a trampoline at a time rule the rest of the yelling was nonsense, especially the condescending tone of it. We left with my kids feelings hurt. We won't be back and I won't recommend anyone attend during their "non-open open gym" time.

We went today and I’m so sad by how everyone was treated. Her name was Casey(not sure on spelling) and I’m not sure if she was just having a bad day or if she’s normally this unpleasant and rude but it was an awful experience. She stood there watching over everything and would yell very demeaning across the gym at kids and then one time got in my 11 year old sons face so close that he complained he could smell her breath… why would you ever climb in the face of anyone let alone a kid?

We had paid at 11:30 and started our 2 hours and at 12:50 she barged over with the list in her hand, never asked our names but said did we want to pay for our 30 minutes we went over and add more time. I said we still had over 30 minutes until our time was up and she said “no you’re already over your time” I had to let her know that we actually weren’t and we had paid for two hours. Which she would know if she asked anyones name instead of rudely coming up to us and saying we should pay for the extra time that wasn’t even true.

Every time she would barge out onto the gym floor everyone was nervous about who she would be yelling at next. I will never be back and if an 11 year old boy is wise enough to be appalled and grossed out that you were so close he could smell what you ate for lunch, you should be ashamed.

We started at Tataru's years ago when my daughter was only 2. We took her out for a while after welcoming a second child and enrolled her back at another gym due to full classes. And now we're back at Tataru's on the competitive tumbling and trampoline team. I cannot say enough good things about Coach Andrea and Coach Kacy. My daughter had been on a competitive team at another gym previously and there was zero communication between parents and coaches, and it was just not a great experience. Coach Andrea and Coach Kacy communicate on a regular basis, and they celebrate the kids on the team! Tataru's also does a great job of celebrating the competitive kids in general, whether it's a special party during the holidays or just making them feel special on their birthdays. We have been really happy at the gym, and I would recommend their tumbling and trampoline program to anyone!

That was insane.. years ago I was ab 13 and was hanging out with some friends at Tutarus and we witnessed a girl *graphically snap her arm. As soon those tears came there was immediate response from the staff, not tending to her wounds but instead having her sign “can’t sue us” forms while she was still on the ground. At the time we didn’t pay too much attention as it was visually cringeworthy but looking back that was the dirtiest move Id ever seen and it’s still pretty infuriating

Not recommend at all! We had ~3 years experience, and ended up with not happy about their "business style". (1) Repetitive charge you registration fee even if you suspend your children (e.g., due to covid-19) and resume a few months later; (2) Billing you way ahead for next month unless you notify them before the 10th at this month (we did phone, but still being charged. Okay fine, we just thought this can be a credit deposit.); (3) When we came back after a couple of months (not wish to ask for money back at all) wondering if we can turn the charged $ into credit that for open gym hours. The answer is yes, but remarkably devaluated and unfair! We have being charged $300 for 8 classes (3 h/class each time) in a month. They only gave us 8 open gyms ($7/each for 1 h), meaning our charged $300 turns to be $56 in this case. This is not the end yet... then they said, we only can do 6 open gyms hours because that month covered a holiday week (2 classes in that week). The end: 6 open gyms hours credit equalling $42 for what we have paid $300!!! We were so sad about this solution, and then only let the child played once that day. NEVER GOING BACK!

PS: I do understand it is business, but if you put all these experience together and feel it... they clearly $$$ driven rather than customer valued. There are many more small evidences but signaling their hidden agenda. You have gotta be careful if you come here, or better go somewhere else!

I recently had my son’s birthday party here and it was a horrible experience. I would definitely NOT recommend it to anyone. Workers were very rude and were all very young and not helpful at all. They didn’t want to help with anything and there were so many rules for their hour of play time. The kids had to wait for other kids to get done jumping before they were allowed to jump because only 1 person was allowed to go on at a time and they weren’t able to have that much fun. It was extremely hot in the party room and no one offered to help with anything. They brought the presents up for the next party before we were even done and pulled the table cloth up while my aunt was still eating. The workers were very rude to get us out. It was all around a very horrible experience. I recommend getting older employees who actually care about their customers instead of being on their phones and rushing you out the door! Save your 200 dollars!!

This is a great place to bring kids for free play and it is a great gymnastics place. However, I would not recommend it for birthday parties. My niece and nephew had their party there, and you can reserve it for 2 hour blocks. They paid $200 to have it from 3-5pm. At 4:30, the workers came up to the party room while we’re still there to bring up presents for the next party. Then, at 4:45, they are pushing us to clean up and leave so the next party can start. It was ridiculous! They either need to have 2 party rooms to alternate between, or they need to leave a 30 minute window in between party reservations to allow for clean up and set up. They overbooked and rushed us through our party, so the kids weren’t even able to enjoy the cake/ice cream/presents time. In addition, there is no air conditioning, so it was extremely HOT and uncomfortable the entire time!!! Not a good birthday place!

The Owner Mike is very unprofessional approaches matters of othe families publicly instead of privately. Parent night out is very dangerous they only have 4 coaches to monitor all kids whose age range from 6-16 there have been fights (kids punching each other) on 3 occasions that I know of and that was in the last 2-3 months. I would chose another gym do not be fooled!!

We have only gone to open gym to play, but this place is awesome. My four year old and 18 month old always have a blast running, jumping on the trampolines, sliding, and playing in the foam pits. We have watched a few classes that occurred during the open time and all of the teachers seem encouraging and knowledgeable.
