We've tried many gyms in the Knoxville area and Tennessee Elite is definitely our favorite. The Gym is very clean and well organized. The class sizes are smaller and allow for more active time practicing skills rather than waiting in line. Every coach we've worked with is very engaged and knowledgeable about teaching fundamentals and skills. Highly recommend!

TEG is hands down the cleanest, nicest gym we've ever been to—and the coaches are truly top-notch! We are so impressed with the program that we drive 40 minutes one way, five times a week just so our daughter can be part of their Optionals Competitive Team. The facility is immaculate, the staff is welcoming, and the level of coaching and support is unmatched. Worth every mile and every minute! Highly recommend!

We have been coming to TEG for a while with my four girls and they have enjoyed coming. I am happy to see progress in confidence in the bodies, improvement in skills, technique, and joy in their new found talent. They have had many teachers and they are hands on and helpful with the kids. The staff have been helpful with scheduling and communication about what classes are available and prices. You can attend here if you have no experience at all or are looking for competitive team. Highly recommend.

I have been bringing my 1 and 2 year old to the open gym here on weekday mornings for the past several months, it’s truly been a weekly highlight for all 3 of us. It’s clean, spacious, and toddler friendly, the staff have also been delightful. There are other gyms that we have tried and live closer to, but the full delivery here is worth the extra time in the car.

Went here for 6 months because we purchased the 6 months and tried to continue but we were told we had to update some signatures and we tried but over the phone she apparently sent me the email 20 times and I never received. So I said we could come by and sign in person and was told they don’t have any paper copies. Very disappointed and it doesn’t add up at all. Daughter is very upset and keeps asking to go but we can’t go unless the papers are signed and we apparently can’t get the papers either…

We have been with TEG for 5 years, my daughter is on the competitive team. Great facility and professional staff. Larisa and her team of coaches are the best around! The competitive team coaches are extremely knowledgeable and genuinely care for each child they have on their team. My daughter looks forward to practices and competitions with TEG and I Enjoy seeing her continue to grow in her skills and confidence in the sport.
If you are looking for recreational classes, they also have great teachers for that as well!

I am very sad to be giving this review. We had very high hopes for this gym and were anxiously awaiting a trail class for both of my daughters for weeks. However, it did not live up to expectations.
When we first arrived, we were not greeted. I had to go up to a staff member and let him know we were there for a trial. Even after telling him, there was no welcome, no introduction, and no tour around the gym. We have trialed at a few gyms around the area, and each of them gave us a quick tour and a friendly welcome. This was the only gym that did not. We felt like outsiders. Then he asked if we had filled out paperwork. I told him I was not sure, we had signed up online for the trail weeks ago and I couldn’t remember. (This would include medical information which will be important later on in my review). He quickly checked something on a handheld device and said we were okay.
When the class times began, neither of the instructors introduced themselves to us or the girls. My youngest daughter, who has been in an advanced preschool class for the past year at another gym, felt very uncomfortable trying a new coach/gym. She did not participate in the trail very much. Spent most of her time watching (which was not the coaches fault). I did appreciate one of the other coaches trying to help out with making her feel more comfortable. However, I wasn’t impressed by the class itself.
My older daughter, who loves gymnastics, and will be involved with the sport for many years to come, is why we trialed a class at TEG. We have heard many great things about TEG’s competitive programs. It was very unfortunate that we did not have a good experience at our trail class. She has asthma. I always disclose these on all medical forms I fill out. The coach started class with a running warm up and then sent my oldest daughter over to me within minutes of the class starting because she was coughing (it was very mild). I checked her breathing and sent her back. Within 3 more minutes, he sent her back, repeat above and I sent her back, he sent her back a third time and told her he needed to talk to her parents about her coughing. My daughter is very embarrassed about the fact that she has asthma and I could see in her watery, teary eyes that this was devastating to her to be called out three times for a cough. We got up and left, 20 minutes into the trial. I had seen enough.
As we were loading the car, the coach came out and said “ I wasn’t sending her home”. I said I know, but she has asthma, and we can’t take a gymnastics class if the teacher is going to send her to me everytime she coughs. He said he didn’t know she had asthma and I reminded him that I informed him that I wasn’t sure if I filled the paperwork out or not, and if I had filled it out, it would have mentioned her asthma.
Im going to give the benefit of the doubt and say it was just a big misunderstanding about the asthma, the paperwork, etc. It was extremely frustrating and embarrassing for my daughter, but hopefully it was just from a covid conscious perspective and not someone picking on a kid with asthma. When your daughter looks embarrassed and upset, a mother just has a natural response to get her out of that unnecessary situation. “I tried not to cough” she said. 😢
However, aside from that experience, it is my review that this gym is unwelcoming and unfriendly. It is small, and I wasn’t impressed by the 20 minutes that I saw of the class. My kids had not done a single gymnastic skill in the 20 mins we were there. We are just much more impressed by our current gym. Our girls are on equipment and working hard the entire hour of class. And our daughter isn’t sent over to us every time she coughs. She doesn’t have an off button for her asthma.
My advice, if you are looking for recreational gymnastics for your young child for excercise, it’s probably fine ( but I would personally go to a gym with a friendlier, more welcoming staff.) We were looking for harder gymnastics skills to be practiced in my oldest daughters class.
This is just not at all what we were hoping for.

We ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC!!
Website claims parents directed will be directed by program where to sit and view class to control distancing and flow.
- we entered the gym and were not approached. Finally a teacher came over to get another child she knew and I told her it was my daughter's 1st time. She did not introduce herself or anything just took my daughter to the floor.
Athletes will sanitize hands after every rotation.
- this did not happen at all for any of the over 30 or more kids in the gym!
Lesson plans will be modified to omit partner activities.
- group of 4, teamed up into 2's alternating on the bars and rings...no hand sanitizing or social distance.
Stations and activities will be modified to allow safe (6 ft.) distance between children.
- no social distancing in the building at all. In fact, I moved over towards the mirror because all the parents were crowded together - not all wearing masks either - and was approached by staff that if I couldn't stand with the parents I would have to wait in the car due to CDC GUIDELINES! When I questioned the use of masks and social distancing she just walked off.
Each team athlete will keep chalk in their personal plastic container.
- Being our 1st time we didn't have chalk. However, chalk was being shared between everyone!
• Hand sanitizer stands throughout building accessible.
- only hand sanitizer that could be seen was pulled from a cubby at the end of class.
Most of the staff had masks on their chins or pulled it off constantly to speak.
When class ended the teacher gave them a squirt of hand sanitizer and walked away. NO ONE EVER SPOKE TO ME! I wasn't given any information or introduced to the coach or anyone else. This is not where my child will be attending.

Will not be back. We rented the entire place for my niece's birthday party and we were scalded multiple times for little petty things. My brother in law jumped on the trampoline and into the foam pit (with no kids around) and was told adults couldn't play... Like he didn't just spend almost $200 to rent the place. I was told to get off equipment as i was walking across to get to the other side of the gym, and my cousin was asked to walk outside because she had a cup of water (WITH the lid on!) in her hand. Not a friendly place, Tutarus will be our go to gym from now on.

We went there for a trial class. First. The building is nice, it does not smell like locker room, very clean. My 4 yo really liked the teacher, I watched them during class, dynamics of the class made sense and looked like kids were having fun. Secondly, monthly prices are the best out of few gymnastics places we’ve checked out. Another thing that was important to me - how to keep my 2 yo entertained while 4 yo is in class. On the second floor ( viewing area) they have a corner with toys and books. Perfect! We still will do open gym from time to time but having another opinion is also great! No other place had anything like that. Definitely would recommend this place!

We just had my son's 9 year birthday party at Tennessee Elite Gymnastics. It was one of the best birthday parties we have ever had! The gym is new and very clean. We had the whole place to ourselves the entire party. They had a "Ninja Warrior" course set up which the kids loved. They also have foam pits, rope swings, floor trampolines, etc... They have an awesome party room overlooking the gym where the parents of party guests can sit and view the whole floor. They provided paper goods, drinks, and even party decorations! They take a group photo at the end, and the birthday boy/girl gets a special medal to take home. The owners,Larissa and Daniel, are awesome to work with and help make the party fun and flow smoothly. Tennessee Elite Gymnastics is a super cool place that is close to home, and we look forward to visiting there very soon for some open gym time as well as other parties! I give them two thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻

TEG is seriously the best gym my family has ever been to! All four of my children attend this gym and we are very satisfied with the results we've seen since starting. My oldest daughter (10) is in the recreational classes 2x a week, about to be 3x a week and has Mr. Daniel as her coach. He goes above and beyond to help her and the other kids in her class. We have seen incredible progress with her since starting in November of 2016.
My middle child, a 7 year old special needs boy attends the powerzone and his coach (I believe his name is Kane) works so well with him. He understands he is different and needs a little extra guidance in order to get prepared. I love how patient and calm he is with my son.
My youngest are 6 year old twin girls who can most of the time be quite a handful, but absolutely love gymnastics. Their coach Ramona is so kind and patient with them but firm too as she knows what they are capable of and wants them to put 100% effort in every practice.
This gym exceeds my expectations. The staff is all amazing. The gym itself is clean and a very welcoming environment. The prices are well within reason and budget and absolutely worth every single penny.
If you're looking to plan a birthday party, this too is the place to go. Their set up for parties is great! They have warm ups and fun obstacle coarses set up for the kids, and the parents view is great too for those that don't want to actually be out on the floor. We just had the twins party there at the end of January and it too exceeded my expectations.
Seriously, if you've just slightly thought about enrolling your child or even just doing a birthday party, do it! You will not regret it at all! There is something for everyone there. From boys to girls, young kids and older. Gymnastics, powerzone and tumbling.
They have free gym on Saturdays and parents night out on Fridays. They also offer private classes, and fun recreational things to do throughout the year. The next being during spring break! Dont walk, RUN to TEG and check it out. You will not be disappointed!
