While the students and insteuctors are very kind in nature, I am baffled at the lack of professionalism in some instructors teaching classes.

Playing music at nearly top volume but speaking at regular, conversational volume does not suffice in creating an environment that easily allows students to follow along during warm-ups. In an hour long class, I would expect a warm-up to take approximately 15-20 minutes max, not 30 minutes. I understand the importance of warm-ups to prevent injuries and muscle strain; but I do not quite appreciate that half of the class is used for pure warm-ups, which does not include pole conditioning:

Additionally, I have noticed the lack of proper use in terminology by some instructors. Many of them using “colloquial” terms, such as “this hand”, “right leg”, “that leg”, rather than “inside hand”, “outside leg”, “inside leg”, etc., once again makes it extremely difficult to follow instructions, especially since for many, one will struggle more on a certain side and may want to work longer to balance out the body. Furthermore, this use of language makes it increasingly difficult when on spin-pole, as “this hand/leg” will not stay consistent.

When I sign up for a high-level class, I would expect an instructor to be hands-on and walk around to each student to ensure that they are doing a move properly and most of all, to ensure that students are doing the moves safely, especially in a class on inversions. I expect instructors to be attentive to the students, but it seems that some instructors use their instruction time as a personal open pole session where “students happen to be there”. It does not make a student feel welcomed when 90% of the class time is spent with the instructor on her pole, focusing on her own moves, rather than spending time interacting with the students, spotting the students, and correcting the students. This 90% of time is far beyond the standard demonstration.

This does not apply to all of the instructors I have taken class with at the Chrome Bar, but the lack of inconsistency between each instructor does not make me want to pay a consistent amount of money for each class as the quality will vary greatly depending on who is teaching.

Been going here well over a year. Probably 2 years. I've never been able to go consistently for various reasons. But the times I have, have been great experiences. Fun environment and wonderful Instructors. I've been going to mostly Taylor's classes this year and she is always helpful and welcoming. I won't be back for quite a while, but not because of anyone there. A truck slammed into me last night while he was going full speed and i was at a red light. I'll need a while to heal and get another vehicle, but I hope to eventually make it back.

You will not believe how they can get you to move fluidly and work towards your goals while also meeting you where you are at. The best part is how kind, friendly, and welcoming everyone there is. You don’t realize how hard you are working because it’s honestly like relaxing with your closest girlfriends; and I say that as an out-of-towner that showed up solo. Love dancing here! The class sizes are small and you have a pole to yourself so you can dance/practice without worrying about someone waiting on you, which I love since I can be a slow learner and enjoy taking my time. Instructors also provide modifications if you want to make moves easier/harder and I’ve never felt unsafe. Everyone here is supportive and will cheer you on no matter what level you are at. There’s a great variety of classes and each instructor has their own unique style so there’s something for everyone! I’ve been to several studios and pole at home as well, but I feel like I’ve seen the most improvement with my movement and feel smoother and sexier after learning at The Chrome Bar. And of course, both studios are gorgeous. Give it a shot, you won’t regret it!

Been at Chrome for a few months now and hands down the best teacher is Carly! I’m new to Pole and she really explains the moves, spins, moves techniques in ways that land and are extremely on point and helpful. Some moves are just hard to understand unless you have a background in dance and she manages to get them out of me and everyone she teaches. I absolutely love the Chrome Bar. It's THE PLACE to be if you wanna feel sexy, confident, and completely comfortable in your skin. The instructors are very helpful and nice and will take the time to break down moves and come up with alternatives (for those who may need it) on the spot. The aesthetic in the studio is amazing. I was following Alethea’s work on social media for awhile, so a few years ago I just decided to solo travel all the way from Lisbon, Portugal to Nashville, TN to meet and train with her. Alethea was so sweet and caring the whole time I was there, making sure I had a memorable experience (which I totally did!).

This was my second pole class ever, although I have one in my house I practice on. Their teacher helped me learn to be closer to the pole when gripping it, which was incredibly valuable to me, because I kept messing my shoulders up when I would practice pole. Loved training at the Chrome Bar! My sister and I are from Chicago and went down to Nashville to take some classes at the Chrome Bar. We took Barre class with Penny, Pole Dance Basics with Onya, Stretch with Alethea, Pole Dance Prep with Arielle, Pole Series with Arielle and a private lesson with Alethea. All of the teachers and classes were excellent! We have been doing pole dance for 2 years and felt like we learned techniques and moves that we will take back with us to Chicago. The Chrome Bar is by far the coolest pole dance studio I have ever been to. It is absolutely beautiful, like a piece of art. Whether you are new to pole dance or a veteran, the Chrome is certainly worth the visit! My sister and I will definitely be planning another trip out there (hopefully soon).

So im in town for some military training for a few months and I would consider myself an intermediate poler. The studio is awesome. Perfect lighting perfect flooring and perfect mirrors. The problem comes with the instructors. I did not recieve a friendly vibe. And as a matter of fact i would expect an instructor with a class of six to at least ask my name before class start or acknowledge me. Although the class was a level 1 class I felt learning only a fireman in a level 1 class is way to basic. The Chrome Bar is an amazing studio with top-class instructors. I'm not sure how it lines up in relation to other Nashville studios, but I know back where I'm from, a lot of the pole studios have more of a general fitness vibe and don't really pay any homage to pole's exotic beginnings. TCB has it all in this respect -- **professional**, polished technical instruction, exotic dance classes, fun beginner's training, and not to mention the vibe of the studio itself makes you feel like a performer every time you're on the pole. I wanted to come to a place where I could feel sexy and strong, and I'm so glad I picked TCB.

I did want to comment on the bad review left here -- I know how much feedback affects local businesses and I hate to see TCB misrepresented in that post. While I fully believe the writer had this experience somewhere, I find it almost impossible to believe they were treated poorly at TCB. Please do not let that comment deter you from coming out and trying a class, and if you have any mixed feelings about the studio or a class, I am 100% confident that the owners and instructors here will work with you to make things right however they can. Where do I even start?
I first visited The Chrome Bar when it opened and loved it but for whatever reasons (more like excuses) I waited a whole year before trying it again. What a shame! Because at TCB, you will find your inner vixen and meet a bad-ass girl tribe!
After two years as a student, my only regret is that this isn't my third year as a student. I made up all the classic stories in my head of why I wasn't ready (weight, height, rusty as a dancer, not strong enough, no flexibility, scared of embarrassing myself). They were just excuses. Because this studio helps you grow - as a dancer and as a person - so you have absolutely nothing to fear!
The owner is nothing short of magical as a teacher, mentor, owner and friend. Just a genuinely, beautiful, insanely talented goddess. And her loving care shows in how the members treat each other with love and respect. (We cheer for each other in almost every single class. And women cheering for other women is such a life-changing experience!)
The studio itself is beautiful with wooden floors and theatrical lighting and pure rock and roll vibes. The front desk manager will be your biggest fan, take care of any questions or issues you have, and cheer for you....what a sweet soul she is <3
Every class offers something special - to give you new elements to work on as a dancer and challenge you but also to just have some fun. The instructors are 100% your cheerleaders (and friends) and have crafted their own styles to help you add some flair while working on technique.
Try a class out or for the best experience, try a full week out to get a mix of classes and instructors. That way, you will learn what your strengths are and what you can work on. And in a year, you will look back and be amazed by what you couldn't do the first day that you can do now! Considering the value you get from drop-in classes as well as series commitments, it is no brainer!! You won't find this level of instruction elsewhere nor the added bonus of the most powerful girl gang in such a gorgeous dance space.

I've been to several pole studios, both here in Nashville and elsewhere, and TCB is by far my favorite! Absolutely phenomenal instructors who really care about your safety and who want to help you turn into the most graceful dancer you can be. Fellow classmates are super supportive too, no matter how much dance/athletic background you have--I don't think I've heard anyone ever say a negative comment about anyone at this studio. Pole is a great way to learn insanely cool tricks or to just vibe out, and I absolutely love it.

My favourite pole dance studio in the whole world! I've been to a lot of pole dance studios and taken a lot of classes over the past 10 years in many countries; the Chrome Bar is by far the most beautiful studio that I have set foot in. The quality of instruction is second to none; what else would you expect from a studio that is owned by an industry leader? I only get to visit once a year as I don't live in Nashville, I always walk away with a wealth of information and new things learned, as well as feeling like I am part of a 'pole family' away from home! I just wish I lived closer.

I absolutely loved my time at TCB. I came from out of town to take workshops, which were all magnificent. The facility is very cozy and you can tell that Alethea put alot of work and her soul into the studio. On the business end - Patti is wonderful. I messed up my order through mind and body and she fixed it for me with no issues. I was also contacted when a workshop was canceled, set up with another one, and refunded the difference. I know of many other facilities that would just take your money and say "sorry cahrlie". If you live in the area or are traveling I would highly suggest checking out TCB.
