Nice facility that is recovering from the past floods. Range is sufficient size and currently no mats to hit. Grass is a bit burnt out so hitting is like hard pan in places. Great nine hole course that can be played as 18 with alternate greens. The staff is fantastic and the newly opened restaurant is surprisingly good. My only fault would be that it just seems a little overpriced for the course. With that said the staff is done an amazing job keeping the place playable after all the heavy rains and floods.

Unfortunately the course is in pretty poor shape after three rounds of flooding. The greens are in good shape but fairways, tee boxes and sand traps are quite tough. Heavy build up of silt has left a sandy surface and grass is sparse or nonexistent in places. Hopefully time and efforts to repair the damage will bring the course back to its usual excellent condition.

I appreciate the discount being offered during this time. Slow play continues be a regular issue. Tee times were backed up. One reason is a failure to follow their own rules regarding number of players in a group with 6 players in some cases and non playing children riding in carts and hitting shots. A ranger to move play along would be helpful.

I would like to start by saying that I completely understand that we do not have control over the weather, that being said….. I live a little over an hour away from this course and called before hand to see if I could get out as a single before I came. The man on the phone said sure come on over and we will get you out. I arrived at the course and went to the clubhouse paid and hit the tee box. I thought it strange that no one was on the course. I soon found out why. The course was literally a plowed field! There were actually tractors on the course tilling up the fairways. The cart paths were covered by dry mud and like driving down a dirt road. The place had been under water due to the recent rain and flooding. I understand that. My problem is that there was no mention of how bad the course was! You could literally not hit a ball on 95% of the course. At least let the people know what’s going on and not smile and take their money and send them out to play for all that. Highly disappointed.

While the course was above average, this course lacks a lot.
Mitch, at the clubhouse seemed inconvenienced to be there.
My cart cut out on the 4th tee box. Called Mitch, who said he would send out another cart immediately.
Never came out.
Cart lurched its way around the course.
Bring your own cup for water since the water stations don't supply them.
Unless you are a member of the "Ol boys club" don't expect the cart woman to stop and see if you are thirsty. She seemed to only chase her regulars.
No on course facilities.
Too many other options to waste your time here.
But the sun was shining.

Generally a great place to play. Today, almost 3 hours to finish 9 holes. There were some unnecessary delays waiting for a tournament to finish. Not sure why non tournament players couldn't start before all tournament players finished..? Then we had an extremely slow group holding up several groups. I am not a good player. But, I know when to pick up my ball and move on. I wish the staff would keep a better eye on those slow groups. Again, not normal for the River Club. Just an unusual experience.

I played this course at 930am Saturday April 15, 2023. I'm from Indiana near Indianapolis and was visiting my daughter in Nashville and played with her significant other. All I can say is I was extremely disappointed in the price I paid relative to the condition of the course. The course was in terrible shape from tee to green with dirt and bare spots throughout the fairways and the greens were recently aerated and sandy and barely puttable. I can honestly say it's the worst course I've played. It should have been no more than $30 and definitely not $59. Plus, I've never paid $59 for a couse that allows golfers to wear t-shirts on the course. Where I'm from is the home of legendary course designer Pete Dye and I play several Pete Dye courses that are amazing and cost less than $59. I was robbed of my money and an enjoyable round of golf that day.

I have only played here twice and so far and I am impressed. I played 18 holes the first time around 11am and 9 holes the second time around 445pm. Pace of play seems to be adequate and decent. The greens are kept in really great shape and pretty quick. Fairways are also taken care of very well. The golf carts are A+ super nice and comfy with GPS. Excellent driving range! With two putting greens and a chipping green this is the best facility in or around clarksville to sharpen your game. I plan to play here during this season! Highly recommend.

Course is very rushed you get no time to go and grab a quick bite or drink after your first rounds of golf if you are looking for a fast pace game of golf with unprofessional staff as well as highly judge mental people we played a foursome and when we got to the tees to hit again after only being inside for maybe 5 minutes we were told we play slow and that we should be two holes ahead as if everyone plays golf at the same speed and is the same experience level it is a very beautiful course but is ran by very rude people watch out for the first tee man highly rude

Friendly staff and nice course. First time visiting this location. Played solo and was paired with two gentlemen. One of the gentlemen was the course superintendent. Him and his dad were very polite, welcoming, made me feel at home, and hospitable. The course and greens were in great shape. I will definitely be back not because of the great shape of the course but those gentleman’s hospitality that day! Keep up the fine work sir! A beautiful spot for a quick lunch! Be warned that they do run out of items on the menu...so if there is something you want, make sure you don't get there too late in the day. Fun little thing about the restaurant is that their lunch menu is a 20 minute or less menu. If your food takes more than 20 minutes it's free! The only downside is that during lunch, you cannot order from the dinner menu (minus pizza).

I drove 2 hours to play at this course. I scheduled my Tee time and showed up 15 minutes early. I got my cart and hit a few practice balls. When I arrived at the first hole a man comes out saying “Who are you? Show me your receipt you shouldn’t be teeing off!” It was embarrassing! Apparently there was a group of pros they “didn’t know” were coming and they told me that I couldn’t tee off for at least an hour. I was unable to play so I wasted 4 hours of my Saturday. Instead of a free game, since I had just drove 2 hours to get there, the guy at the counter offered me a small discount if I were to come back. I will not be golfing at this location in the future.

Actually we went to the River's Edge restaurant which is at the River club. I had the dirty fries and they were ok... Once I sent them back and had them get warmed up as these are not good cold!! Always a pleasure dining at the River Club. Their signature drink was on spot. My Appetizer was the Salmon Dip with fried Pita Bread.The Dip was incredible. My Entree did not disappoint. I have been coming to this course for a few months now, after visiting different courses around the area. I started looking for a nice place to enjoy golf and to introduce it to my children. From the very first visit, that staff have been the up most professional and have never made me or my children feel unwelcome. I was surprise to learn it was a public course, as it didn’t look like a public course when glancing at it while driving by. The facilities are nice and very well maintained. Price to play is great, and they do have memberships that are outstanding bargains too. The River Edge Grill is a great place to come after spending time on the course or at the practice facilities. Meals have never been a disappointment and the price for the food is very reasonable. It has become the place to go out to eat rather than any of the local chains. The River Club Golf and Learning Center is place worth spending your time and money. The course manager, Kris Hertzske, has made changes to improve the overall course operation from the time I started coming here.

GPS Works half the time. Very 1990s. Basic. Not accurate. Many errors with yardage. Need to get with the times or drop the GPS and your rates.

Super disappointed. Scheduled a lesson at 1030 got there at 915 to putt around and hit some wedges. This PGA “professional “ was absolutely the farthest thing from professional 1045 and my lesson hasn’t started he allows another customer to show up late and continued that lesson. The manager is very rude. Every time I have brought my family he is irritated that we have little kids even though they are well behaved. He is very happy when others bring their kids for lessons. I guess growing the game of golf is not very important for this facility. It looked good so we gave it a whirl. Course is very nice and maintained but it’s definitely not a $42 track, $30 maybe. Hit the turn and tried to get something to eat and everything on the menu will take 10 to 15 minutes to prepare but was told we could get something from the snack cart which ended up being the worst hot dog I’ve ever had in my life. No rangers anywhere except for #1 tee box. The round took 4hrs and 50mins. I’m sorry but We won’t be back.
