We are a collective of Maryville's most experienced and talented yoga teachers all under one program! We offer mix of Hot and non-Heated classes for the beginner to the advance practitioner. Whether you are looking to begin your practice with the basics or looking to bring your practice to the next level, we have something for you. Classes are conveniently located at our beautiful new studio central to Downtown Maryville& Alcoa. Our program also offers seasonal outdoor sessions at the exquisite Grandview Pavilion! The Yoga Mix is a wonderful studio! Very knowledgeable instructors, good variety of classes, all levels welcome. It truly is a judgement free studio. Everyone is very welcoming. I try to “protect” my yoga time in my weekly schedule as I have realized what an important piece it is in my mental and physical health.

I came to the yoga studio as a complete beginner in hopes of it being a tool in my new journey of recovery from addiction. I signed up for the 3 months intro special which is about to be up in a few days. Yoga has offered me so many benefits that I have been astounded. My anxiety level has went down immensely, I am sleeping every night after suffering from insomnia for 10 years, my digestive system has improved 100% and I received my 6-month recovery coin last night! I enjoy each one of the instructors and what the individually bring to the table. The yoga studio offers several varieties, I especially love the hot classes and they even have hot hiit Pilates on Fridays and yoga sculpting on Saturdays which is great to incorporate with the other practices. The yoga instructors are excellent in paying attention to individuals form and even apply hands-on and it is wonderful. The ambience of the room is lovely and very relaxing. My mind has always gone a mile a minute... When I'm in class and that door is shut I am able, somehow, to literally block everything out of my mind and just be in the present moment which is priceless. It is so rewarding doing something good for my body and my mental health. What I really love also, they offer classes in both Lenoir City and Merrillville and even have outdoor classes which I am going to try very soon! They have fun activities going on all the time, and the yoga will class was amazing! A particularly love that the classes are very non-judgmental and when I go in there I don't have to focus on what I look like in the mirror I can just " be " b and feel the love of everyone in the room. I have found the challenges to help me in my everyday life and to push through hard times because of what yoga is teaching me. I enjoy celebrating with others when they achieve challenging new poses. I have gained strength and flexibility and I plan on making yoga a definite part of my life. The benefits of keeping your bones healthy as we age is just another awesome benefit that I get.

When I started at The Yoga Mix, my plan was to integrate gentle yoga into my existing routine once a week. Now I am looking forward to the different styles of yoga as well as being challenged by all of the wonderful instructors 4-5 times a week. If you’re looking for an A+ yoga studio, THIS IS THE PLACE!! There are a variety of classes for all levels and during each class, instructors offer modifications to help your body achieve what you need for that session on that day. Instructors are amazing and always so prepared with a variety poses for their class. You’re always greeted with a smile in the studio and the community of yogis is, well pure love. The Yoga mix has something to offer anyone who walks on the door. It has gentle restorative classes as well as more challenging classes. Amanda has chosen a wonderful group of diverse and talented instructors to lead the classes she offers. Each one offers a slightly different approach but they are all amazing. Don’t use the excuse that “I’m not flexible enough to do yoga.” You will be amazed at the physical and psychological benefits you will gain.

I am absolutely loving my yoga practice at The Yoga Mix -Maryville/Alcoa
When I turned 50 I told myself I would start yoga. Well, here I am 12 years later and FINALLY able to ‘stick’ with it! Throwing the fun sticks into the class tonight was such a treat. The instructors here each have unique skills and the class choices have allowed me to work up from beginner to finally being able to touch my toes, and move up to a few more advanced classes. Although my favorite classes are still the mindful gentle yoga ones that leave me feeling like I just walked out of a fantastic massage. Come on and try a class. The first one is free and your first month as a newbie is inexpensive. Namaste 🙏🏻

Each instructor provides their own twist on different styles of yoga—and their knowledge is obvious as they provide options and variations for any level of yogi. The power yoga at this studio is top notch because you get a mindful workout. The gentle classes are great too. Additionally, the music selection of the classes is so groovy and perfect!

This is a special place. Everyone is supportive and welcoming. Some days when your balance if your off you give yourself permission to go w the flow - and there’s hot flow classes and slow flow classes - hot power and slow power - when you’re ready to drive yourself the environment will support you breaking a serious sweat but maintains its mindfulness in a softly lit studio w twinkle lights that make your shavasana feel like you’re under the stars. The pop ups on the weekends and workshops peek your interest in other aspects in the study of yoga. Mediation- sound healing- chakra work - there is absolutely something here for every level yogi. The space and the people in it will make your spirit hungry for more and you will be a healthier happier being.

Started taking classes here recently, returning to working out with an old injury. For about 3 years I have been struggling with peroneal nerve compression that has manifested in many different ways but ultimately leading to muscular atrophy in my calf and foot. I’ve tried different types of workouts over the years but was never able to maintain them. I stumbled across this yoga studio and started out in some gentle classes and then to some more workout oriented classes. It’s been about two weeks and I can already tell an improvement in my injury. The muscles that were tight and constricted due to atrophy are coming back to life and stretching. I’m regaining feeing again sporadically in places I’m not used to feeling sensations. I feel like I have really worked hard in the classes ,but I don’t feel over worked when I leave. Needless to say, I’m hooked. I definitely recommend it if your a newbie, because I am. Or if your more advanced. Amanda is great at modifying all moves for beginners and more advanced yogis. Also, the studio is so relaxing and tranquil. It’s nice to be able to feel like I’m making progress on regaining some kind of normalcy after an injury!

When I moved to Maryville I was nervous to leave my previous yoga studio but finding The Yoga Mix has been a blessing. I am so pleased I found this yoga studio! I was in a severe car accident a couple years ago and had four fractures in my right leg, a hip injury which later resulted in a total hip replacement, as well as other injuries. I have undergone several surgeries, a stint in a rehabilitative facility, and months of physical therapy. After reaching a threshold in my in my progress, I was becoming discouraged with the limitations in my activities. I decided I wasn't going to settle with my current situation and decided to look for a yoga studio that offered various levels of classes so I could advance as my progress allowed. I have been attending classes 3-5 times a week and the improvement I have achieved has far exceeded my expectations. The instructors have been inviting and encouraging and have given me suggestions as to new approaches and classes to try. I have gained strength, flexibility, and balance and have progressed far more in the past 10 weeks than I have with the past PT and other exercise regimens. I am so encouraged and soon hope to reach my goal of hiking trails in our beautiful Smoky Mountains.

Her classes have kept me wanting to go and her abilities keep me motivated to keep trying to get better at yoga. She is unsurpassed! This is hands down the best yoga group ever! I started going to Amanda about 3 years ago, and now I couldn’t see myself practicing yoga without her. She fine tunes each session to what is honorable to your body in that moment. She is so motivating when I’m ready to test my boundaries and was extremely thoughtful and caring while I recovered from an injury recently. Rachel is an amazing instructor as well, kindly guiding your body to be stronger. While I haven’t been to the other instructors, all my fellow yogis in class love them!
