Performing our Wedding Dance was a wonderful experience ! The Bolero was a completely new dance for us. I was hesitant at first doing the Bolero for our First Dance, because I am not an accomplished dancer. We were very fortunate to have Jorja as our Dance Instructor, she reassured us that we would be able to perform this dance well at the end of our lessons. I loved going to our lessons because it was so much fun with Darryl and Jorja. I will say this, it took a lot of hard work and commitments, but Jorja was so supportive and patient with us. It was interesting and awarding to see our dance transforming to something so beautiful. I really felt I accomplished so much with all the help and guidance from Jorja. I also have a deeper appreciation and respect for my partner. This experience taught us so much about ourselves, how to work together and just have fun. It is with great pleasure that I can say, our First Dance was a success and we loved performing it. This experience gained me confidence in myself. I am forever grateful to Jorja, Misha and the Ultimate Ballroom Dance Studio, I certainly recommend them to anyone who would love to dance or learn how to dance.

If you are looking for the highest level of ballroom dance instruction, in the most beautiful ballroom facility in the Cordova/Germantown/Collierville/Memphis area, I really urge you to try out Ultimate Ballroom. All of the instructors have years of experience in dancing, teaching and choreography. They take the time to find out what the student is looking for, and then give that to them, at the highest level. And if you are tired of the high pressure tactics that have unfortunately become associated with dance studios, you will find UB to be what you need there as well.
I highly recommend this studio for beginners and advanced students, for social and competitive dance, for fun, exercise and stress relief!

I have been taking dance lessons at Ultimate Ballroom for around 4 years from my amazing teacher, Denys. He is very patient and kind and helps me feel confident when I dance. I get to work with the other teachers during their group classes. These are a lot of fun and are great at teaching lead and follow skills. I've been going to Ultimate Ballroom for over for years. It is an incredible place with great teachers, dance parties, and special events, including shows with teachers and students dancing together. Every teacher is phenominal. My teacher, Jorja, is wonderful and has become my friend. Ultimate Ballroom is much better than the place to which I used to go. Ultimate Ballroom is an excellent escape from the rest of the world for a few hours. The teachers, Yana, Denys, Svitlana and Misha are all great, although I have now only danced with three of them, excluding Misha. Be prepared to meet new people and to switch partners frequently. Yana's energy radiates as she teaches so, catch a hold of her energy and come discover your own dance skills.

FYI: I wouldn't wear tennis shoes or any shoes with rubber soles as they tend to prohibited your ability to glide smoothly.

From the moment I stepped inside the studio I knew I’ve found a home. A place where I feel welcome, somewhere I can express myself. I might not be the best dancer, but the teachers at Ultimate ballroom are there to show me how. Excellent staff who can teach you from the most basic steps all the way to competition level of expertise . Great form of exercise but because you enjoy dancing it doesn’t feel like one .it’s a place where I formed fast friendships with likeminded people from all walks of life. In other words... A Grand Holiday Yelp Event. Held at The Ultimate Ballroom dance Studio for Salsa. which is the place to go if you want to not only get your salsa fix but also to become the best salsa dancer. The two instructors we had that night are some of the best teachers in Memphis. You will develop a solid foundation which will carry you even into your advanced levels. The studio is really inviting and looks great with a wonderful floor. Come see for yourself!! Join during the week, during one of the many workshops or any of their dance socials. One on one instruction or as a group. Many different types of dance instruction are introduced here. This is the best place to learn both American and International ballroom styles! The staff is absolutely fantastic!!!! Misha, Denys, Yura, Ben, Jorja, and Amanda are so kind and patient, no matter how much dance experience you've had. They know how to break down the different movements so that you are able to easily learn the different dance styles. The group lessons are great for learning the basics and the Friday parties are perfect for practicing everything you've learned and getting to know other students -- they will become like family to you in no time! If you decide to take private lessons, your growth in the different styles will be exponential since you will have the complete focus of the teacher you work with. They will be able to show you the intricate details of the different dances you learn and expertly guide you through more advanced movements and patterns. And if you want a first dance for your wedding that isn't just awkward swaying, they'll create a dance that will capture your personality as a couple.

I came to Ultimate Ballroom because my friend brought me, knowing absolutely nothing about dance, and fell in love. From the moment I walked in everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The instructors are all amazing, not just at dancing but at teaching as well, and really know how to break it down for the level you are at. And they never seem to run out of patience either (Thank you Denys, Misha, Yuriy, and Ben!) I have done group and private lessons and I love that combination because during my private lessons I can learn more at a pace that suits me. Misha has created an environment that is professional and so friendly and welcoming at the same time. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

I have been attending UB for 4 years now. The people are fabulous and full of energy. The instruction is the highest quality that I have found in Memphis. I was reading the reviews of S. Lee and I was surprised that was her experience. They do have two specials. I think that one has two group and 2 privates, and the other special only has one so that would account for the difference in price. I'm sure if she would have asked, they would have been happy to tell her the differance. There is something for everyone. If you can't afford the privates, the groups and practice parties are also available. In response to her review of the creepy men, they are just men that are wanting to learn how to dance. I do think I'm probably creepy at times when I'm dancing with a more accomplished dancer. Practice party is for practice. Not everyone that comes is an accomplished dancer. Partner connection is not likely to be accomplished on the first visit. It's too bad that she gave up on the first try. I love UB. I wouldn't go anywhere else! They are like family to me now. I drive 1 1/2 hours just to take lessons with them, then 1 1/2 hours back home. It's worth it!

This studio is a really excellent value. Misha, the owner, has a philosophy that his instructors should teach you as much as you can learn as fast as you can learn it. They give tremendous attention to detail, showing you not only the steps and technique but foot placement, where to look, how to hold your arms, how to hold your hips/upperbody, etc. At the same time, this studio is tons of fun. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the Friday parties are great. I highly recommend Ultimate Ballroom and am so grateful that we have this caliber of dance studio in Memphis!

Unfortunately, my friend purchased a dance package from Groupon with 60% off to Ultimate Ballroom. The same package was priced less at the studio than what we paid on Groupon. So we felt like we were cheated on this deal and after few lessons the prices went up. On the practice night I was manhandled by creepy guys trying to force me to do turns. The lack of connection between the dance instructor and my friend. I will definitely not be back, groupon or no groupon.

There are no words for how grateful I am for this studio. I used to dance a long time ago but hadn't in years and I wasn't sure what I'd gotten myself into when a friend talked me into going to a Friday night group class. Yet the minute I walked through the door, I could tell this studio was not like most studios I've been to. The instructors are incredibly skilled dancers and even better teachers, no matter whether you're a beginner or a seasoned competitive dancer. The other students are friendly and welcoming and, above all, supportive of each other. Misha and Ben and the other instructors are incredibly patient and can break things down for each student in a way that they'll understand--it's truly individualized instruction. They have weekly practice parties, group classes, workshops, individual lessons--there's something for everyone. This is not a low-pressure sales type of studio--it's a no-pressure sales type of studio but you'll just have so much fun that you have to come back. What better way to exercise, relieve stress and make friends? All is right with the world as long as I get my weekly "fix" at Ultimate Ballroom!

I had been dancing a while when I tried Ultimate Ballroom. I had no idea what I had been missing before! My dancing has improved exponentially! The teachers at Ultimate Ballroom have a skilled ability to determine what each student's needs and wants are and deliver just that. They are patient and encouraging with the most beginner of dancers and skilled and detailed with the competitive dancers. With Misha at the helm and Jorja and Ben on board, they have quite the winning team. I would highly recommend this studio for all levels of dancing ability.

Ballroom dancing can be difficult to master unless you take lessons at Ultimate Ballroom. Misha has an amazing ability to break down the steps into easy to learn patterns. He also has the patience of Job! He can create a showcase dance that makes the beginner learner look like the winner of Dancing with the Stars! His patience and great sense of humor makes the lessons and dances even more pleasurable. He has added 2 teachers who are also fantastic. If he is planning a special occasion, you can count on a great night of entertainment, food, music, dancing and wonderful decorations. As someone with no previous dance experience, I was very nervous about taking my first lesson. That feeling lasted about 5 minutes! The atmosphere at Ultimate Ballroom is truly friendly, and welcoming. Lessons, and group classes, are all taught with a level of professionalism and respect that far exceeded my expectations. Everyone I have met at Ultimate Ballroom, from Misha Konstantynov: owner and primary instructor, to students of all levels and ability have welcomed me and encouraged me in every aspect of my dancing.
