This gym is neglected by the owner, understaffed, unsafe and unsanitary. There is typically trash strewn about, many of the machines are not in safe, properly functioning condition, they will go days without providing clean towels to wipe down machines or use in the sauna, and premium features offered to upsell you are often unusable. *This review is NOT a reflection of the staff.*

Someone close to me had a very upsetting experience at this gym after suffering a painful injury on-site at this location that required medical attention. Multiple attempts were made to contact staff, report what happened, and request a cancellation due to the incident. Unfortunately, no one responded personally; only generic automated messages were sent back.

The lack of accountability and care has caused ongoing stress and frustration. An appropriate and professional response to the situation would have been to speak with the member directly to clarify the situation. Instead, there was no communication at all, and only after public reviews were posted, expressing concern and frustration, did the company reply to reviews and deny the claims, rather than requesting more information. Unfortunately, the company was accusatory and defensive, rather than being receptive to this situation.

I had a health-related issue at this gym and contacted them multiple times. While I know they received my messages (as I did get a reply), the only response I got was an automated email with instructions on how to cancel my membership — not a single personal acknowledgment or apology. I followed their process and formally submitted my cancellation, and am posting this here to document that I’ve done so. Disappointing customer service and zero accountability.

It’s disappointing that this public response is the first time anyone has acknowledged my situation—after multiple emails I sent went completely ignored. No one reached out. No one asked what happened. No apology. Nothing.

Now suddenly, you’re asking for “proof” here in a public review? How about first trying to understand what happened, asking questions, or even just checking in to see if I’m okay? I would’ve gladly provided everything if someone had actually contacted me directly. Instead, I got silence—and now a defensive public reply.

I didn’t want to leave negative reviews or complaints. I was forced into it because no one cared enough to respond privately. This could’ve been handled so differently with a little empathy and professionalism.

Member for 10+ months, going to numerous 24/7s across Tennessee. This is the only gym in the state without a guest pass for premium member. Not only this, half the equipment was constantly down, leaking ceilings, but most importantly dirt poor customer service. I’m unaware of the new managers name, but I won’t be back until she’s gone.

This place is so ghetto compared to other locations, I go on my lunch breaks to tan bc I work right beside there.. the staff literally left me in the tanning room and forgot to push the button so I have to get dressed with tanning lotion on me to try to look for someone , and go searching but nobody is anywhere in the building for like ten minutes.. the bulbs are going out in half the bed and it doesn’t tan me because they have not tried to fix the problem it’s been like this for 6 months, there was the same booger on the stand up bed for like a week .. this place should actually be shut down probably

This location is definitely run down with old machines compared to the Hixon location. The couple times I went here 3 of the treadmills were broken for at least a couple weeks. Still not sure if they've been fixed.

Also, WA has a lot of sneaky policies in their contracts so run it through chatgpt first. The "monthly plan" requires a 30 day notice and they have 2 hefty service fees in the first 3 months of joining. Very manipulative. I'm aware franchisees don't control this, but its still a BS way to do business. You're better off finding a local gym.

You have to create an online account in order to cancel your membership. Also, they charge you a full month's membership fee in order to cancel your membership to be paid via credit card on the online portal. This is a disgusting business practice. The gym itself is very small and cramped.

This location and every place by this owner goes against the normal premium membership plan offered at other locations. They don’t allow free guests and charge them 10$. I got the premium to allow a free guest but their rules are different. Additionally the equipment is sub par, it’s very dirty and hot in the weight room and there is less equipment than other locations. They lack adequate weights for the free weight machines. They’re so aggressive enforcing their special rules that it distracts from the gym experience, with signs posted outside the door looming charge threats. I hate having to use this gym. I love Workout Anytime but the locations owned by this owner make me want to cancel my membership. Staff is not friendly either.

This gym will DO NOTHING if you are harassed! Their maintenance is also pitiful and they try to take advantage of you if you switch home gyms.

Harassment: Another member of the gym I literally never speak too (this in and of itself might have bugged him) stepped in front of me and told me "I could beat your ass". Later that same day he followed me into the bathroom and started saying stuff at me while I was peeing! When I reported this at first they were supportive and they agreed everything that could be confirmed with cameras was, and nothing the other person said could be verified, but they refused to do anything! Over the course of this "investigation" I spoke to three different people and all three said different things/kept moving the goal post. It's ridiculous and unacceptable they do not take harassment seriously.

Maintenance: Multiple basic things have been broken for months, including the water fountain and benches (they're missing screws so sometimes move out from under you when you sit on them). Earlier the chest fly, leg press, and only urinal were all broken for multiple months too. There are literally holes in the ceiling that leak so they place buckets on the weight floor to catch it. It's been like this for at least three years.

Changing Location: When I first moved here I was told I would have to pay +$100 in one time sign up fees so I shouldn't bother changing home gyms. I tried again later and was told no sign up fees but they couldn't honor my rate at my old gym and would have to charge me more per month. Finally near the end of my time here I was told that wasn't correct either; they're either lying or have no idea/no training to handle transferring of memberships.

Edit: They responded "We will have the manager call you in regards to the gym maintenance and changing fees". It's been a week, literally no one has called me since that review. They care more about saving face and looking good than actually being good. How do you excuse having literal holes in your weight room ceiling for multiple years? You can't! Hence they lie and dodge.

i’ve been going as a guest here for a while and nobody has ever let me sign a guest waver with me asking everytime i’ve gone in there. then out of nowhere a staff member told me i wasn’t aloud to workout unless i had a membership because they don’t allow guests of any kind. so i ended up telling her like your MANAGER has let me in as well as your coworkers. my boyfriend gets a call FROM THE MANAGER on her PERSONAL CELL PHONE NUMBER. to assume the whole situation saying i was cussing her worker and neither him or i were aloud at birth she or or east ridge. like i said i’ve been going for well over a month since we signed back up during staffed hours and nobody having a problem with it until now and i've never been to east ridge, so im quite confused on how those 2 correlate. we also asked for the regional managers phone number and she wouldn’t give it to us. since she also called from her personal phone number instead of the work phones so it wasn’t recorded i’ll make sure her manager knows of that as well

Update on this business.
I paid for months without going because of being I'll.
Called the gym after 6 months and asked to have my payments held until I was well enough to come back. I was told they could drop my payments to 5.00 monthly to hold my original cost per month since I was one of the first members to join in east ridge location. When I noticed they started taking regular payments back out again, I was told I could only have my account on hold for 3 months before it returned back to regular withdrawals. ( none of this was mentioned when I agreed to 5 a month to hold my original membership price)
I no longer have a contract with this gym , I was told and knew this to be fact also, that I pay month to month. When I asked for the additional 20.00 back since I haven't been here in over 6 months, I was told that I was back on normal payments and the only way I could get out of this continuing was to submit a request to cancel my membership. This too is a tatic they employ so they can get even one more month of fees for absolutely nothing.
Do what I didn't and read the fine print. They will take as much as they can get from you and do not care if it effects you or not.
Also this gym was extremely overcrowding and had quite a bit of people who destroyed the gyms property, which is why they had to post signs warning if they caught people damaging property, they would be charged and membership terminated, which is understandable, but let's you know how some of the people that go here conduct themselves. Not a recommended place to go because of all these underhanded policies.

Amazingly nice employees. 💛 Has an extra space for stretching and using free weights, resistance bands, foam rollers, boxes, and medicine balls etc. with mirrors. It has a large cardio equipment area including treadmills, ellipticals, stair masters, exercise bikes etc, selectorized area, free weights with benches n mirrors, smith machine, plated equipment, tanning, hydro massage. Has a machine that I wish had more options to buy drinks. Love that they support local businesses too.

Update: Not happy that I could not access the gym one day after hours, and I’m not sure why since my photo is on file. The only note on the door said if your photo isn’t on file you may not be able to use the gym after hours. N I had to pee super bad. What am I even paying for…to pee myself til I get to the other gym I have a membership at or a gas station. It is supposed to be a 24 hours gym.

Used to love this gym. It’s the most convenient gym for my partner & I to attend. But in recent months, the gym has gone way down hill. Half of the machines are broken, many have messaged staff about this problem and they claim to not know about it, and swear they’ll fix it. Well, it’s been months and nothing has been done. When I come to run on the treadmill 3/5 are broken… I spend the first 10 minutes of my workout looking for an operable machine…. Just not the standard of gym I’m paying for at all.

As I’m writing this message there are about 10 customers locked outside this “24 hour” gym… guess people don’t show up to their shifts either…

Really wish staff would do something to fix these issues. Super irritating considering the money I pay.

Im a personal trainer and my wife and I own a studio in Cleveland, but we live in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. This is the best gym in Chattanooga. Brooke is a wonderful manager. She's very welcoming and professional at the same time, and full of great workout advice. Jenna is an amazing personal trainer. She helps me so much/pushing me to workout harder and reach my goals, and she's so patient with me. Brandon is awesome as well. I had a success session with him and he explained so many things to me in detail that I didn't know or understand, since I'm a newbie to working out. I paid almost 500 dollars for a year membership at this gym. I have had a good experience other than today when this rude lady at the front desk told me I couldn’t bring my boyfriend with me and that he had to buy a day pass. This doesn’t make sense to me because when I bought the membership they told me I could bring one guest every time I workout. I have done this the whole time I’ve had this membership and they have never said anything to me and they always help my guests. This lady is rude and shouldn’t be working in customer service.

There are hidden fees. They advertise a low price and then they hit your bank account for multiple additional fees. I called to cancel my membership and they claim that I am locked into it for a year and they literally will not let me cancel.

When I registered for this membership online it was listed as being a month to month basis. Nowhere in the registration did I see that this was a year long commitment. They do a horrible job of communicating their policies. The only reason I registered is because they were blowing up my phone with new years promotional spam texts and it seemed like a good deal at the time. At this point I am just so sick of these people.

The lady working the front desk was incredibly unhelpful and condescending. She claimed that if I had registered in person that I would have been able to cancel. But apparently the online contract is totally different. When I told her I was going to have my payment card shut off, she threatened to send me to collections to get the rest of the money they think I owe them.

I'd rate zero stars if I could.

EDIT: It's been over a year since I mistakenly signed up for this horrible gym. They told me I'd be canceled after February. Well.... it's after February and I'm still not cancelled. I don't understand how they can claim its a yearly commitment but then just bill it like a monthly subscription THAT NEVER ENDS. The rate has gone up again (up to $40 from $20, originally advertised to me at $10 a month). I've called the front desk multiple times very upset and I come to find out the people at the desk just stopped making records of my complaints in December and the person who told me I would be cancelled in February just straight up lied. The person I've just spoken to in March told me the new cancellation policy was subject to a 30-day waiting period AND a cancellation fee. In other-words, they want me to pay another full month that won't be used, and then a fee on top of that for the 'privilege' of cancelling. This is starting to feel more like a time-share racket and less like a gym. I am so sick of these people that my blood literally boils at this point whenever I speak to them. I am just going to shut my card off and file a transaction dispute with my bank for the last month at this point.

Yall, this gym is awesome. Staff here is great and friendly. The manager, Brooke, is wonderful, and always greets me when I walk in or am working out. Heck, the whole staff makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. If you’re looking for a new gym or want to start your journey into the fitness world, look no further and join this gym. People that come there are incredible as well. Again, friendly staff, clean, and great location. Check out this gym.

I've been a member at this gym for a while now and I have to say, I'm consistently impressed. The equipment is always clean and well-maintained. I have been a member at bigger gyms and had a hard time finding motivation to keep showing up but the staff here is incredibly friendly and always greets me with a smile, making me feel welcome every time I walk in. Overall, it's a great place to work out and I highly recommend it!

This is a very nice Workout Anytime Facility. It is in the 💜 of tourism. It's in a very busy area , with nice apartments, townhomes, grocery stores, and delicious food 😋. Enjoy , but be responsible with food , and drinks. If you are a tourist pay attention 😊. Remember you guys are not going to be on Vacation forever 😊. You might can get a complimentary free pass for a few days. When I worked out here for a little while I received one. The staff is Professional , Friendly, and helpful. You are not under any pressure to join. I took my pass as a compliment Thanks guys ! It is clean , with nice equipment. A few maintenance issues, otherwise very reasonable 💰. You can't beat it ! I love the convenience number one . I could go anytime love it . It is never overwhelming crowded . I guess , because of the different schedules. I Love people, but I don't Love crowds 😊. This is perfect for most , especially if you are dedicated fitness person.. You don't need the extra attention, motivation, or distraction . I had my own 💪 personal workout group. We didn't plan it this way . We just happened to have the same people in the facility same time. We all had similar schedules. If this is you go ✅ them out for yourself. I 💕 Chatt Town Mr. C.

I’ve been going here for about 4 months and I love it. First gym I’ve been able to stick to. My schedule has me up at hours that most places are closed so it being open 24 hours is great and allows me to go whenever I want.

I've been a member at Golds,Rock,Ymca,Planetfitness over the years, This place is Home! Card reader entrance,cleanliness,upkeep
, management/ownership takecare of this place .It shows and i definitely appreciate that. Im definitely going to turn into a unit! Thankyou anytime fitness!

I love this local gym with a great community feel and friendly staff who know you by name. WOAT North Shore is kept meticulously clean and I enjoy using the Hydromassage (for an additional monthly fee) to help sore muscles. This gym has everything you need for a solid workout. I lift and do cardio about six days a week and can always count on using the equipment for a great sweat session. The challenges every Thursday are fun and keep you motivated! Definitely recommend!
