You guys need to maintain this place, so nasty, Steam and wet sauna room never work properly. Machines are dirty, and the most nasty place are toilets and shower rooms. Spend some money on cleaning and thats all, and of course fix sauna! Seems like you guys are betting against yourself profit and reputation

I’m really disappointed. The sauna and steam room are supposed to be working — that’s one of the main reasons I pay for this membership — but they are always broken. This isn’t the first or the second time. It’s frustrating to come in expecting to use all the amenities and find the same issue every week.
If you’re going to offer these services, they should be maintained and actually available.

The only reason I’m giving one star is because it won’t let me leave zero. I really hope this gets fixed soon.

I came here to play basketball with my girlfriend willing to pay $30 for just a day pass (outrageous). Many other employees at different locations allowed this as it is the policy of the company. However Braxton was rude, and very unwilling to work with me to just use the court for 1 day at the end of the night (1 1/2 hours before the court was closing). We even let him know that since my girlfriend didn’t drive there, I had to drive home and come back to pick her up after her workout. He was not understanding at all and refused to help me in any way. Not to mention, a quick glance was all I needed to see to know that the facility is gross and not cleaned. I was also hit with a stench as I walked in. Very gross.

I am an employee at another location where I go to college but decided to visit this location while home for break. Very bad decision. This gym is disgusting. Went numerous times over the break and never saw any employees cleaning at all. The floors are filthy. For example, I saw a cockroach crawling around a few days ago and came back today to find the same cockroach smooshed into the ground in the same spot as pictured. Furthermore, I invited my boyfriend to come with me because he wanted to play basketball and was willing to pay for the 3 day pass. Braxton was very rude about it and informed me that this particular location does not include the basketball court which is not a company policy and is not true of any other location. As I said I am an employee at a much nicer location and am aware of the company policies in place regarding the 3 day pass. $30 for just the cardio and weights at this disgusting location is outrageous and extremely unreasonable. Even if it were including the basketball court it would still be very unreasonable. I played basketball on one of the days I was visiting and I wore some new basketball shoes that I just bought. After playing on the court for about 10 minutes, my shoes had black spots all over them. The basketball court also has a really bad dead spot which needs to be fixed. Most of the workers were great but Braxton was rude and unreasonable. He also left the desk unattended for about 30 minutes so that many random people could have just walked in and used his precious basketball court without even paying for a guest pass. And like I said the employees don’t clean so of course he wasn’t doing that or anything else that is actually a responsibility of a 24hr employee which I am very familiar with as we have the same position. He was just talking to his friends and watching a football game. To top it off I would say I think this gym is also very uncomfortable for young women because there are some men that go there not to work out but to look at girls. I had one disturbing experience with an old man who saw me getting a paper towel to wipe down the bench as he was walking out of the men’s locker room but turned around in the hallway where I could still see him and started touching his privates. All around disgusting gym.

This is one of my favorite gyms I’ve been going here for around 5 years the cleanliness has greatly improved they are open 24 hours again. The young lady at the front desk is always helpful. Only thing i think could use improvement is whoever maintains the machines i have experience working on these machine and know its really just lack of effort.

I’ve been a member here since they opened. I love swimming, and the pool is maintained well. It’s a pleasure to swim here, and is usually not too crowded. The hot tub and showers are also nice. Yes, the infrastructure is aging a bit, but the staff does well at keeping it up. Folks are friendly, too.

I joined 24 HF to access the pool for physical therapy. At first the experience was great and beneficial. However; the last couple of times the water has been icy cold.

Computers have issues. Large over head. I go for water. The owner is interested in the fitness industry future and why you would be crossing through that day. It takes character to stay regular here..stations are packed with limited space on the first floor, so treat the space with perminance. people or coaches are available for uninitiated mixed feelings. Keep on keeping on. Bring a towel, read the entry rules. Food and drink on site. -From others experience review i would say prepare a day bag specifically for a shower if you are concerned, bring something to carry under your nose e.x. coffee bean, gum, blessed towel/ face guard, salt stick, mustache. I came to this gym because its the closest 24hour gym near me , my actual gym closes at 8pm. Anyways this gym was disgusting, everything looks old , equipment that I used was decent but everything was dirty as if it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The bathrooms had urine and toilet paper all over the floor and seats. The steam room smelled musty, Sauna wasn't working , jacuzzi wasn't even hot. You can obviously tell this gym is old and malfunctioning everywhere. It's dark when you arrive late at night there's no lights whats so ever , I could barely even see the gym. This gym definitely needs upgrades. Not coming here again

Kaleb was super helpful in getting me signed up! I can’t beat $9/mo & no commitment. I’m here for the pool & it smelled clean and was in working order. The rest of the facility was put together well. I did leg day with machines for my free trial and it kicked my butt!! I noticed some people don’t clean the equipment after use so I will definitely be wearing pants when using the machines. A lot of reviews mentioned that cleanliness of the building wasn’t up to par so I was very critical when first coming here while shopping around for gyms. I was pleasantly surprised as it wasn’t as bad as the other reviews suggested. I think the employees have really taken it to heart. Some equipment has wear and some are brand new. Overall, the location is great, the prices is right, and it has everything I need.

Started out slow when I first went in to get info. I thank Anthony Willis for apologizing for the wait and giving me the tour and info. that I needed.. because of his great spirit and kindness it was part of the reason that I decided to join. My no.1 reason is the amenities that comes with the facility that you can’t find at Planet Fitness for the great price. Lap pool, sauna, steam room, basketball court, and they even have Zumba and other classes. I will say that I think if the air was cooler it would kill the odors and germs in the air. The machines are decent but I wish the ab machine was easier to use…it even looks brand new usually you have to wait forever at other gyms…a few upgrades and it will be a 5 star for me but other than that it’s a good place for the price. I enjoyed my first evening going.

Been struggling trying to get my knee back from injury to get into gym again. This location has been under new management and i absolutely love it. The energy of the customers are there to actually help themselves be better. Ive seen family's, student athletes, everyday people, military, older customers and even injured recovery customers like myself and we all seem to get soo much support and motivation from the staff.
The staff are incredible and sincere with listening and showing the want to be able to help anyone who asks no matter the question or demand.
The layout helps with any workout level to flow seamlessly. The pulse of the workout is really up to you. If you need intense training or a good stretch lesson nothing is pushed on you but so much is available to anyone to switch up directions upon the need.
The level of cleanliness is outstanding. The staff is constantly doing a great job at maintaining the floors,the machines, the bathrooms, the showers, the pool zones, even the hot steam room gets a power wash often. I love how the place doesnt smell like feet when you walk in. I highly appreciate how the customers dont leave sweat rags, paper towels and water bottles everywhere. People are actually helping to take care of the gym.
I also appreciate how there are no self-obsessed gym addicts filming themselves and no one is causing bad vibes by insisting they take up gym space just for their social media. It's very refreshing.
Its soo comfortable to workout and i love that there isnt loud music pumping everywhere. You actually do not have to yell to talk and can easily be able to hear when someone is talking to you.
I couldnt stand going to the gym in California but this experience has renewed my faith and commitment to being a better person.

I joined because they finally got their pool approved by the city to re open. They have both a wet and dry steam room, an amenity most gyms don’t have. They do not keep it in good repair. Tiles in sauna missing. But it meets my needs and is close by. Don’t be fooled by the 14.99 or 19.99/month. There is also a one time 100.00 sign up fee and an annual 60.00 sign up fee and taxes on all of that. So, the first year if you go with the 19.99 monthly fee comes out to 400/year and 300/year every year after that. So not as cheap as you might think.

Like some of the other reviewers have said. This gym has really fallen from the last time I worked out here 10 years ago.
Almost half of the equipment is broken or in serious need of repair. Pool, spa were out for the last two weeks and sauna wouldn’t get hot enough for the last week. A ton of the cardio machines are broken and alot of the weight equipment is not working right. They have two elliptical machines that are “open” and one of them the foot stand is loose??
Last week I was doing incline bench on one of the free weight benches and the bench shifted to the side once I came down with the weights. It’s a good thing I have good balance and wasn’t using heavy weights at the time bc that could have went badly. I told someone and they just nodded and said they would get it fixed.
I’ve worked at gyms before and management should be working out in the gym everyday using everything and tagging everything that’s broken or not secured. How else would you know? Most gyms have a mechanic on staff to just go around and fix things if they need to. If they do they need a change now! It’s gotten worse in the month I’ve been back and nothing is fixed.
The cleanliness of the gym is another issue, I only have seen one semi-older woman clean ever. At the gym I worked, during the day we had anywhere from 3-4 people cleaning the gym throughout the day. Our GM would have gotten really mad at us if there was 2-4 people just chilling at the front not doing anything when we have serious problems in the gym.
It would seem management puts far to much trust in the folks that run the day to day.
I always make sure to take a shower with anti fungal soap when I get home. Staph is a serious concern that can come with bad hygiene at gyms. Look up Ben Askren he’s an elite level wrestler who almost lost his life to Staph recently.

I’m only writing this in the hopes that someone who can change things sees this and will remove this review if things change. This gym used to be such a nice place to workout and it’s so close to my house.
Please do better, I don’t want y’all to close down.

This is one of the dirtiest gyms I've been to in my life. The equipment is old and broken half of the time. There's never any staff on the mid shift to clean and rack weights. The only reason I go is because its convenient to my work and nothing else around at 4 am. Soon as EOS opens on Basswood and bluemound I'm gone.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
This is hands-down the nastiest, most poorly maintained gym I’ve ever stepped foot in. The cardio equipment is constantly broken, the bathrooms are always out of order, and the place clearly hasn’t seen a dust rag or broom in weeks. Machines? Barely functioning—and definitely not properly maintained.

Customer service? Nonexistent. The staff, including management, seem more focused on enforcing ridiculous rules than actually training the staff or creating a clean, functional environment for the paying members who do follow the rules.

When the new management came in, I had hope—but that quickly faded. All they did was slap some 8/10 paint on the walls and redo the floors. Now we just have fancy flooring covered in dust and furballs thanks to an HVAC system that seems better suited for a construction site. And nobody ever sweeps the courts.

Don’t even get me started on leg day—good luck finding enough equipment. Half the sanitizer stations don’t work either, which just adds to the feeling that no one really cares about cleanliness or basic gym hygiene.

The only reason I still have a membership is because it’s close to home, basketball and convenient on days I don’t feel like driving to Fitness Connection or Crunch. But every time I walk in, I regret it.

I got a 3-day pass and was told that this location only honors if for one day, even though there was a sign on the door that said 3-day passes wouldn’t grant access to certain amenities like the basketball court and sauna… Many of the machines were not operational and the seats on the weight machines were shamefully worn out. Some seats were so worn there were large holes where your bottom would sit. I would save your money and time and just go elsewhere.

This is the most disgusting gym I have been to in my entire life. Been working out atv24 since it was the Q and never seen anything like this. All of the toilets had urine and feces smeared on them. The urinals were broke and full of rancid urine. Lockers barely holding together, air dank with sweat and general gym odors, equipment old and crowdes together. I think the employees must go to the business next door to use a bathroom because there is no way you would willingly subject yourself to that daily and not be motivated to do something. The windows and doors are covered in hand smears, the floor of the gym has human hair and dust bunnies rolling around everywhere with grass and dirt and I imagine feces from the bathroom. Seat coverings are cracked open from age so they just soak up the sweat and disease. There are rusted column bare because the trim is broken off and surfaces needing paint everywhere if they can get them clean enough to paint. Three female staff members and one male were sitting down behind the counter chatting or on their phones pretty much the entire time I was in the gym. One of them was sitting on the counter. This was 2 to 3 pm on 7-4-25. The floor had discarded paper towels everywhere and no employee made even a gesture to pick one up...or even look around. Another member mentioned that there is one older lady there sometimes at this gym...older than the rest of the staff... who tries to keep things clean, but he has seem dirty cotton swabs stay on the floor of the locker room all week as he returns to workout. I see what must be fake reviews from as recent as a week ago saying this is the cleanest 24 in dfw. First of all, there is no way this gym was cleaned in the last week. Just look at the hair collection growing 8 inches out from the bathroom walls and corridors. Second of all, other members told me it hasn't been cleaned in months, third, I have been to all the 24 hours in dfw and half the other company's gyms. McKinney has a half inch thick dust biome growing over the toilets, but I have NEVER seen a gym this filthy. 24 or at leaat this one seems more concerned with adding fake reviews than just picking up a broom and a dustpan.

Out of all the 24 Hour Fitness’s I’ve been to in the Ft Worth-Dallas area, this is definitely the most clean and well-maintained one. I have been a member for over 20 years. In the last 6 months I have seen dramatic positive changes to the gym with the new management. Bryan Almenas and Bobby Wilson have been great about keeping the gym more clean , updating broken equipment and friendly when you arrive and leave the gym. We recently participated in the free workout classses on Saturday with Anthony and Bobby. I loved the class because it was appropriate for my whole family. Both instructors were encouraging and motivational for all abilities levels. I can go any gym with my membership but with the recent positive changes I enjoy this location. It is nice to have a friendly helpful staff when you enter the gym each day.

I love working out here with my family. The staff is so friendly and always willing to help push you through your workouts. I also enjoy the Saturday morning full body workouts. Anthony and Bobby Wilson made the classes challenging but also help with modifications if needed. I will definitely be signing up for more classes.

Completely unacceptable for the men’s bathroom to be so disgusting. I was holding back vomit at the urinal the smell is so atrocious. This has to be some kind of health code violation. Management either doesn’t care or has an utter hatred of its members to keep this place so filthy. The smell in the men’s restroom is a plumbing issue, you have to get this resolved.

I have been a member of 24 hour fitness since 2012 off and on. I’m sorry but this has to be the 24 hour fitness facility that I’ve ever been to. It’s not clean at all it doesn’t feel sanitary. I came in After 1 AM once And there was a dog just roaming around with no leash and no collar in the gym. I asked the person that I saw who was it and she said it was hers. She told me she works at night. I asked her if the dog is a service dog and she told me no. I asked her why didn’t she leave the dog in the car and she told me because he would howl. Did not feel comfortable with this. She told me after she get the trash she will be leaving. After I did my workout on the first floor I decided to go upstairs to do a cardio machine once I arrived upstairs I discovered she was on a treadmill walking on the treadmill walking. When she saw me she immediately got off the treadmill and her dog followed her. I told the staff about this On a different night and the staff told me that he don’t see the problem with it because the dog wasn’t doing anything to anyone. Also the staff could not confirm if she actually worked at the gym. There’s just so much room for improvement here at this gym at this particular location no matter how old it may be.

I've been to several different gyms, and this one is one of the worst, if not the worst. The nice staff wasn't enough for me to overlook all the negatives. The black mold in the showers should've been enough but it was the roaches in the men's locker room that did it for me. Not the small German type, but the beefy huge 4 inch looking ones.

This club is so amazing. with a new basketball court coming and they have excellent swimming area and sauna. I’ve been living in Texas for 13 yrs. When I walked into 24 hour fitness and found the most amazing fitness instructor you could ever find, Delia Carver has the most upbeat energy. She keeps you motivated and she keeps you coming. Her class is a mix of Latin, hip-hop, Zumba everything that you could want in a class. It’s energetic, It’s fun for all ages will enjoy what she has to offer. Her classes are Monday, Wednesday, Friday at 9 AM and even if I can only go for 30 minutes, I’m there so if you’re looking for a great gym with great staff and energizing classes, this is a place for you.

Honestly I really enjoy the location of my gym and the employees seem really nice but I’m contemplating cancelling my membership because most of the equipment is out of service and very outdated and they usually have like 4 or 5 employees working and for some reason the bottles to clean the equipment are always empty. It’s going to be a bummer to have to cancel my membership here but I can’t keep coming if all the machines I use are gonna be out of service all the time :(

I've been going to 24 hr fitness in 6500 Old Denton Rd @ fort worth TX for few years ,because i love this gym open for 24 hr , and when i am became the membership after ,i fund a swimming pool always has some problems and close ,12 months per year ,the pool can closed 4-6 moths a year ,and i am decided will cancel my membership when my membership expires , and later last year the 24 hr fitness update the new manager here , his name is Bryan , after he came here, there have been significant changes, the pool it's much better than before and maintenance very good , the Sauna better than before, upstairs getting better also, i have changed my mind and will continue be here, i recommend you come here too, and hope this manager will continue to work here and manager it better , i am sure he will.

Today was my first time going to this gym. I was a long time member of 24 hour years ago just recently signed up again last year and this particular location is sad. I live in the area but usually go to the camp Bowie location due to work. This location needs to step its game up. So sad how the equipment looks, the facility is not well maintained. A shame how this location facility looks. Corporate needs to step in and do something. The members deserve better than this. Over all the other locations especially camp Bowie is great. Hopefully this one will get better. Equipment is old seats are torn, rusted, and just looks awful.

The Old Denton Rd 24H Fitness is awesome and clean. I appreciate that so much. No gum on the floor in the pool area and the water is clean and everything works. The other DFW locations could learn a lot from this crew.

I'm also convinced that half of some of the deplorable state of some locations is the people that go there. Just because you pay a membership fee, doesn't mean your mom is there picking up after you. Be a grown up and don't spit or leave garbage in the pool area or locker rooms. If you throw it and it misses the garbage can, bend down and pick it up. Shower before you get in the pool or spa. Whatever else you're doing that makes the water gross, stop it. No one should have to tell people this stuff. Some of y'all are just...ugh.

The three stars are just for the fact that this gym has a full-size basketball court, as I purchased a membership just for this. I do wish this establishment was maintained better, the court could use a major resurfacing, floors could be swept of dust and trash, and the nets on all goals need replacing.

If you're looking to shoot hoops on your own, come before noon, otherwise good luck. There's always a team of people playing pickup games, and most of the time it's hard to be included. The demographic on the court is 50/50, either people actually looking to play, some just want to fool around. I also don't know why they allow people to come into the gym smelling of marijuana, rather unpleasant filling the room with a lack of airflow in the court.

Overall, staff are friendly, but this place needs some attention.

I have been coming to this location for years. The location of the gym is great for me. I am giving 3 stars because the gym and equipment need an update. 25% of the cardio machines are always out of order. I think some have been here since the gym opened 20 years ago. Almost every time I come in the cable machines are missing hooks or attachments are constantly disappearing. They need more than one of several of the weight machines.
The store is usually clean, my main issue is the lack of available working equipment.

I don’t submit many reviews but I felt I needed to leave a review because the fitness gym experience is important and this location is disappointing.

I just recently renewed my membership after being away for about five years and mostly working out at home. Most of the equipment I use is in good shape and I didn’t run into any issues. I can’t speak to any cardio machines, pool, sauna.

I was very glad to see many members are considerate and wipe down the machines after they use them. Member interaction has also been positive.

My main issue with this location is the overall cleanliness. I will say the downstairs workout space is clean. I am not seeing trash left on the floors and there are paper towels and disinfectant to wipe down the equipment.
However, the locker room is dirty and smells awful. It could use a good cleaning every night, at least every other night.

I tried shooting around in the basketball gym but the stench of sweat and body odor is intolerable. You should consider leaving the basketball gym door open during the day to allow the gym to air out and cycle some fresh air. The goals and the basketball court are in good shape but the court lines are very faded. There are also some other cosmetic issues in the gym that would take no time to fix but it seems they are being ignored. I could look past the faded lines on the gym floor if it didn’t smell so awful in that gym.

This was once a great location and it sucks to see it go downhill. Based on the other reviews it seems like the person in charge of this location has given up. I hope the responses to previous reviews are serious and they are working on repairing broken gym equipment and addressing the cleanliness. I have to wonder what a health department would say about some of the conditions in this gym. When you go to a gym you should feel that energy boost so you can get a great workout in not questioning if this is the right gym for you or if you need to drive 10 miles to another location. Hope things improve or I’ll go elsewhere.

On Jan 8th, it snowed over night. I decided to try and make it to the gym, even though the roads were bad. When I arrived around 8:30, the doors were locked. I thought it was very strange since this is a 24 hour fitness. I noticed there were two other cars in the parking lot so I assumed that it was going to open at some point. I later learned that a message went out that it would open at 9 AM. At 8:40 AM, a man let us in. He explained that all of the other employees had called in saying they couldn’t make it. His name was Richard. Richard went over and above the call of duty to make sure the gym was open. I let him know how much I appreciated it And wanted to let others know that he drove from the Arlington location to the Fort Worth location in the snow to help get the gyms open. Shout out to Richard.

The gym is good distance and nice location and is open 24/7 but 1 has a bunch of broken machines and every machine is rusted or disgusting plus no workers at night so no one scans in and people just walk in without membership making it pointless for me to pay either. Easily fixable if the owners were willing to spend money on new equipment for the paying customers. Do better 24 hour and try to find workers or just make it free at some point if you won’t

Update: This location has made some small improvements with fixing broken weight machines, but cardio machines are still needing replaced. Also, the bathrooms are horrific, they always smell terrible and I have seen cockroaches on multiple occasions. This location is busy enough to have the money for a major remodel of the whole place.
