The friendly staff is the only reason this gym doesn’t get a 1 star review. There is no other redeeming quality. Machines are constantly broken and not being repaired. One calf machine was out of commission for 23 months and another time there was a row broken in half and left in place for nearly 2 whole months! It wasn’t even put out of sight! The steam room is down on a regular basis, indicating sub quality repair or parts. This gym also constantly opens 30min to 1+ hours late. Today is the 3rd time in almost 2 months the gym is not open on time. When early morning is the only availability to workout you are just out of luck.

Employees are friendly and helpful. Any time I have a concern they listen, and look after it.

I came into 24 Hour Fitness already frustrated from my day and upset about an error with my son Kaulin’s initial platinum membership. From the moment I spoke with Alexes, she completely turned my experience around. She listened patiently, explained everything clearly and concisely, and corrected the mistake right away. Not only did she apologize for the misinformation I had previously received, but she also took the time to explain the security measures in place to keep my son safe—which meant the world to me as a mother.

What impressed me most was her calm and positive energy. Even though I was agitated walking in, she never wavered—she was supportive, professional, and full of light through what felt like chaos on my end. Anyone that actually works out knows that this gym has everything you actually need. The only thing that differentiates the experience is the people. When I first moved to Texas the first friend I made was Cam at the front desk. Super cool dude. Enjoys what he does, and he with everyone every day. Gyms have their issues, but I wouldn't even say this location is the problem; it's some of the members. Absolutely uncaring and disgusting leaving their trash and filth on or at the equipment. We get it, you don't work there but have some common decency to clean up after yourself and be civilized. I canceled my membership a while back because of other members and their attitudes. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSE WHERE. The manager Karen will turn a blind eye when YOUR card information is put on someone else’s account and you pay for their gold membership for 5 months because you both have Hispanic names and that somehow makes you related. But, they will be quick to deny you access to a big class room with 5 people in it (when there is no space to work out anywhere else) because someone is distracted by you in the far back corner of a room minding your own business. Wonder if my brown skin and curly hair would have the same privilege to make a person on a machine next to me be denied access to it because it’s “distracting”.
I was a member for almost 4 years at another 24 hour fitness before I moved to the area and have cancelled my membership at this location after a few short months.
How will they fix their broken benches, tiles and MULTIPLE “out of service” machines without my monthly membership, who knows?

It's a rainy Saturday, so maybe the condition of the facility is rain related. This was a good clean place to workout 3 years ago. Now, it's trashed (literally). If I were to pick a GYM to join based on this facility, I would just say NO! The Men's locker room smells and the showers are in deminished condition. As posted on the entrance, I understand now why the hours have changed and are 12 Hour Fitness now (vs.24 Hour Fitness). Membership and management has stooped to a sublevel of satisfaction. I have been a member since 2005. I wasnt here to critique. This condition is a slap in the face / disrespect to long term members.

Should change the name of the company if not returning to being open 24/7. It borders on false advertising. Showing up at 8:30 at night on a Sunday to find my “24 hour” gym closed is disappointing.

Apart from that, this club is pretty old and run-down. Equipment and facilities break often and stay broken for longer than seems necessary. It’s very dirty in the locker room and wet areas (e.g. pool, steam room).

On a positive note, there is a good selection of equipment - when all is functional - and a big cardio area. They did recently renovate the sauna which was much needed.

Not all bad, but more bad than good about how this place is run.

September update: Most of the out of order items have been addressed. New rowing machines are available. Things have improved.

Update: it is August 6th. Machines are still not fixed. Some of these other machines need to be lubed up as they get stuck while using them - making for a very uneven, choppy workout.

Honestly, I just joined this gym (cuz its the closest to my house) and 2 machines were out of order (July 3rd 2024) figured they were fixing them but it's now July 20th and another 2 machines are out of order. So now there are 4 unusable machines. I asked how long til they are fixed and the employee said "oh who knows there is stuff here that's been broken for months that they haven't fixed yet" so now I'm super annoyed. If you're looking to join a gym go elsewhere! Fitness Connection and Planet Fitness don't have problems like this. I'll post an update when fixed.

Pros- 1- cost isn’t bad. 2- they do have classes which is cool. 3- I do like the variety in amenities.
Cons- 1- a lot of the time is pretty packed so figure out a time that works for you. 2- when machines are broken and sometimes you don’t know which are. 3- cleanliness, just yikes. It’s a gym but seems like everything is gross. (Gross bathrooms, trash cans overflowing) I’m hesitant to use any of the amenities because if the bathrooms are gross I can only image other things. I’ve been a member here since January and lost 30 pounds because of 24 hour fitness at this facility. I’m a male and haven’t been in this kind of shape in over 4 years. I’m 37. I’m a regular and all the regulars are familiar with each other and everyone gets along. Don’t be afraid to ask for advice. I’ve asked for advice from trainers and other members who really know what they’re doing. I haven’t met one rude person. The trainers Alexis and Caleb will also hold my keys for me at the front, very courteous.

The sauna, steam room, and pools are very nice. I use the sauna every time after working out.

2nd time as a member at this place. I went elsewhere when they wanted people to schedule appointments to workout (post Covid overreatcion).

I chose this place (again) due to its location and it has a spa which I like to use before I workout to help loosen up. Been coming here for close to 2 months (this time) and the spa has been closed more than its been open. Never seen any actual work being done on it so I don't know if they just don't want to maintain it or they just have no urgency in keeping it running. INo excuse for the down time as the place isnt even close to 24 hours now. (They freaking clise at 8pm on Sat and Sun, and close at 9 pm on Fri and 11 pm M-Thur.) Gym equipment is also VERY slow to get repaired. The average review of 3 5 is EXTREMELY generous. Place needs to shape up or it will be the next "24 hour" Fitness to close its doors.

Gym is okay, could be a lot better. The main issue is that the equipment constantly breaks, and never gets fixed. A good 25% of the machines downstairs are broken, and have stayed that way for over three months. What makes this problem worse is that the gym is constantly packed with people, and they are confined to less equipment because so many machines are broken.

Extremely disappointed with the quality of this gym. A large assortment of equipment continues to remain out of order and has been for many months. Though the weight room remains decently clean, the overall cleanliness of the facility is poor with many areas containing a musky and moldy smell. The pool has been out of commission for nearly a month, is normally quite cloudy, and always contains a decent quantity of sand/dirt on the bottom of every lane. The sauna is not maintained well in addition to finding various nails protruding out of the back rest. The men’s bathroom frequently has one or multiple toilets/urinals out of order, with all urinals currently being out of order. The one thing I’m content with is the kind staff.

I loved this gym it was very nice and spacious, the equipment wasn't as up to date as the location I normally go to but I love how this place had space and a lot of machines everyone was very nice and respectful, its definitelya plus when you feel comfortable and can be yourself especiallywhen your working out, I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area.

Went this morning for the first time and the negative reviews were right. The gym is dirty and lots of machines are broken. Paper towel dispensers to clean the machines myself were empty at 5 something in the morning.

how is the name of your gym 24 hour fitness and you’re open limited hours. it would be like if I opened a restaurant called the wing bar and only served hamburgers. paying the same price but getting less from the membership doesn’t seem as a company you goal is to strive for your members and give them great service

They have a good gym. I really liked them. However - upon cancelling my membership, I was still charged for another full year. I called and was offered a full refund that I never got, when I called again they offered for me to keep my membership, a membership that i no longer want, need, or use - even though in their own membership agreement they offer a refund written in there within 3 days.
They broke their own membership agreement which is laughable. If not for this I would've given 5 stars. Regardless of me getting my money back or not when I go in person to complain later, 1 star for horrible service. Big rip.

I'm disappointed with this place. I paid nearly $300 for a one year membership. They are NOT a 24 hour gym, although they Said they would be (false advertising).

The front staff are friendly. However, this place is poorly managed. It is understaffed, undermaintained (broken machines often and for too long), under-cleaned (pool is filth and so is the sauna and the locker rooms.

I want my money back "24 hr" fitness.
Got my PREMIUM membership last May with the assurance that the Horne location would be going back to 24 hrs by the summer. That didn't happen. Then the hot tub was broken for months.
The pool heater never worked and the pool ALWAYS full of dirt and grime. I stopped going because they changed the hours and now close at 9pm. I have a VERY busy day time schedule and am incredibly angry that I was lied to about the hours.
Machines are ALWAYS broken, sanitary stations are no where to be found, the bathrooms were always filthy and it really needs to be made very clear that taking selfies in the bathroom/lockerroom is prohibited.
I literally only got this membership because I needed Aqua therapy and it was the only one accessible to me. I'm highly disappointed as I've been a long time 24 Hour Fitness lover but it just seems that since they "came back" from the pandemic they don't care anymore

Do not believe what the sales personnel tell you as your payments as they have in fine print that they can increase your payments. My membership went up 220% for my annual membership after being the same for over 18 years.

This place is beginning to worry me, with the filth and smells. What is the problem with the pee and sewage smell coming from the men's bathroom? Why are employees walking around spraying perfume and order eliminator, please correct the underlying issue.
I do also attend the Lewisville 24, there it is much cleaner, more staff, so why do you cater to those clients but not us on Horne street, is it because it is near Como? I remember when this location opened and it was always clean.

I do want to update my last and say that Kelly is awesome at what she does, she is the glue holding this gym together. Thanks for all you do Kelly!

I came here the other night for the first time. I went and exercised in the pool and used the hot tub.

The pool seriously needed vacuuming. You could see the grit and dirt left behind by others on the bottom of the pool. Yuck!

The hot tub was in need of repairs. It was also absolutely disgusting. It needed vacuuming as there was dirt on the bottom on the hot tub. Also, there was a line of scum all the way around the hot tub. Last but not least, there was stuff floating in the water. Triple Yuck!

The locker room was relatively clean, and everything was labeled. I was sad to see that they were taking the swimsuit spin extractor out. This was one feature I used regularly at other gyms when they had it.

I've been to over 20 different locations and this is by far the dirtiest 24. Most locations are definitely dirty but this one found a way to be worse. Need to focus on restrooms and hard to reach places in between equipment.

This gym needs to get shut down since a lot of 24's are closed ....they're 18 hours ...can't charge ppl for the actual amount....then the gym IS ALWAYS DIRTY (BATHROOMS ARE TRASH..Toilet IS ALWAYS STUFF...No good sinks ....SHOWER ARE CONTAMINATED.....broken machines qt times.....the employees not all of them are nice....even this whole fort worth area is not that great of people ....this gym is from 5-11 thats 18 hours....not 24...alot people question why not keep it longer or just shut it down...there is another 24 hour gym 15 min away that is 24 hours

Really concerning when you don’t IMMEDIATELY clean up blood in the men’s locker room. I told the front desk and nothing was done in the hour I was there. You’re placing others at risk by not addressing it and your negligence could result in a lawsuit

Just in passing today..
So much was broken that I left early… again.
I have been a member since 2016 and this is so disappointing. They never put their hours back to 24 hours and now they aren’t maintaining the gym. So much equipment is broken that is hard to complete a full workout. I have also noticed a strange smell in the gym the past few times I have gone there.
All of the cables were broken (except one) for at least a month about a month or so ago. For a location that is so busy, maintenance needs to come and visit more often. I stopped coming to this location lately due to the condition.

The facility is dirty this is from this morning around 6:45am. My treadmill had dried mud on it. The bathroom trash cans were over flowing, hair and random trash on the floor. The walls look like someone has been playing basketball on them. I thought I was going to use the shower and decided just to run home. Please clean it up as this was very disappointing. Also people please try to clean up after yourselves.

Modern gym that is in decent shape. They clean their facilities and have a friendly staff. They finally updated the outdoor lighting a few months ago and it is absolutely fantastic! This is one of the few 24 Hours that actually maintains their equipment and listens and responds to their customer’s feedback.
