It's unfortunate that this location is shutting down for the finale going out of business this month on May 30th, but I believe that it gets to this point when loyal customers end their membership at this 24 HF Grand Prairie location to go to other gyms when this location don't go back to re-opening 24/7 that causes this location not being able to bring in more money, and revenue that leads to losing a lot of money not being able to keep up with their lease payments!

The best part about this gym is the staff. They make you feel welcomed, which was very needed for beginners like me who were terrified to start working out. Darren always makes conversation with me, it feels like I have someone who is holding me accountable for showing up and putting in the work, which I need. The staff treats you like friends. I’ve been a member of this gym for a while now, and the transformation in service in the last year or so is nothing short of remarkable. Before, things were a bit lackluster with equipment being often out of order and not working properly. But ever since they hired the new staff, especially the maintenance tech Andy, it feels like a completely different place.

I dropped my headphones in the stair master machine and Andy, the maintenance tech, stopped what he was doing and immediately helped me. It’s clear that he takes pride in keeping everything in top shape. The machines are well-maintained, and if something breaks down, he will fix it quickly. I’m honestly impressed by how much of an impact one person’s dedication can have on a place.

The customer service has also improved dramatically. With the maintenance guy being so proactive, there’s a sense of organization and reliability that wasn't there before. The gym is more inviting, the staff is more attentive, and there’s a general energy shift where everyone seems more motivated and happier. They also always on top of cleaning—there’s never any lingering mess, and I’ll come sometimes twice a day and they are consistently wiping down machines, floors, and even the locker rooms. It’s made a huge difference in the overall atmosphere.

Great gym, the critical reviews are hilarious to read through. Yes, some of the cardio machines do not function, but unless you're going to this gym SOLELY for the cardio machines, then this shouldn't be an issue, as there's still plenty operational cardio machines available, even during the busier hours of the day. Also saw a lot of reviews complaining about the cleanliness of the weight machines, considering the age of a lot of the machines, they're arguably in good enough condition, they work fine and aren't nearly as dirty as some of the critical reviews suggest.

This is a commercial gym that charges 10 bucks a month at the lowest, seems like a lot of the lowest reviews are just people who went with too high of expectations. If you've been to any other commercial gym (Crunch, Planet Fitness, Fitness Connect, etc), then expect the same level of quality.

I was exploring different gyms because I wanted to transition from home workouts back to a gym. Having grown up seeing this gym, I always thought it was one of the nicer options in the area, so I was excited to check it out.

When I arrived, I mentioned that I had a 3-day pass, but the manager’s response completely threw me off. He asked, “Why do you want the 3-day pass?”—a question I found odd and unnecessary. He then followed up with more questions, like whether I’d been to this location or others before. At that point, I was confused because it felt like they were questioning my intentions rather than welcoming a potential new member. I had to provide my ID so was the interrogation needed?

Once inside, I was even more disappointed. The gym’s interior gave off a bleak, almost institutional vibe—it reminded me of what I’d imagine a jail to look like. The bathrooms were in terrible shape, with broken tiles and a strange sewer-like smell coming from the ladies’ room. Broken toilets that wouldn’t flush the first time. The equipment was shockingly outdated and completely run down—far older than what you’d expect in a modern gym, ESPECIALLY 24Hour Fitness. To my surprise, they didn’t even have basic staples like a Smith machine or a hack squat machine.

The sauna was also in poor condition, and the overall atmosphere was lackluster. I planned to check out the steam room the second day but to my surprise (not really) it was out of service. While I appreciated seeing an older crowd actively working out, I couldn’t help but think that even my little cousin’s high school gym has better, more up-to-date equipment than this place—and that’s a public school.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this gym unless the membership fee was drastically reduced to something like $5 a month. The outdated equipment, poor maintenance, and lack of welcoming customer service make it hard to justify joining.

First, it’s not a 24hr gym as the name suggests, so pay attention to the hours of operation. Secondly and most importantly, gym equipment is POORLY maintained. I was surprised to see almost all the elliptical machines were not functional and almost half the treadmills did not work!!! A number of other machines on the gym floor were also nonfunctional including the stair master and weight machines. The changing room had a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness I honestly think for a company this big they would have some sort of gym equipment maintenance program but it is shocking and unacceptable given members pay a fee to use the equipment and don’t receive their benefits fully. The employees were friendly and helpful.

Although I am not consistent with my workout routine, it seems every time I come, several  machines are out of service!

For 15 years, I've made my payments on time without interruptions. Additionally, I have been an otherwise, agreeable, and non-problematic patron. But I am tired of the bare minimum service this location gives its customers.

In addition to the downed equipment, the machines are filthy,  you all have reduced the # of cleaning spray bottles & paper towel stations for guests to wipe down the equipment, and the location is no longer open 24 hours!

There are plenty of other fitness centers who offer much better service, clean and well-lit work out areas, extended hours of operation, and better & newer equipment; and they're doing all this at a much better price point for members.

I have complained to on-site management, emailed a district manager who never responded, and even posted my concerns on Twitter (X), but still, the equipment remains inoperable. I hate to change, hence the reason I've been with 24 for so long. But it's time that I move on and give my $$ to a center who truly strives to provide top-tier customer satisfaction!

I’ve been going to this gym for four years now. Out of 35 cardio machines only one works. It’s been this way since Covid. They continue to tell new members that they are working on it but it’s been this way for four CONSECUTIVE years. If that wasn’t bad enough the gym is over run by teenagers who care more about making TikTok’s than actually working out. They roll in groups of 9+ deep and take up all the machines then chat the whole time. Machines go down and they don’t come back. How this gym is still open I honestly don’t know. Unfortunately this gym is only a couple minutes from my house and that’s why I’ve stayed. They continue to lose mass numbers of members because of said issues. I’m here six days a week. For the last four years so I’m very accustomed to these issues. Pick a different gym. Trust me.

Well be aware when you give your credit card to this place. If you sign for a personal trainer they will tell you only pay when you need it, but once they see you want to stop the PT and you want to do it yourself, they will be telling you we have to charge you for PT anyway because you are on commitment. Which you are not. I signed up for 6 months which is $26.51 and I found my self fighting to get back hundreds of dollars they pulled up from my credit card.
I promised myself I won’t let them get away with my money and I will fight it to the end.

I would say 80% of the equipment needs minor or major maintenance.
Probably about 40% of the machines are completely broken at any time. Almost all of the stairclimbers have been broken for about a year now.

I’ve been a member of 24 Hour Fitness for almost 30 years. I went into the South 360 location today and felt like walking right back out. All the trash cans in the workout areas were completely full and overflowing. In the restroom, 3 of the stalls could not be used due to toilet clogged with waste, no toilet tissue, non working. In addition those trash bins were also overflowing onto floor. And the floor appears to not have been mopped in a very long time. Our on the workout floor, a great number of the aerobic equipment were not functioning properly…or at all. I used to be proud to be a member of 24 Hour Fitness..today that is definitely not true….very sad….

The team seems to have improved over the last six months or so. They seem more attentive to both the clients. They seem to be doing a good job of walking new people around to show them the equipment available. The cleaning crew was doing a much better job, but lately, it seems to have gone back to what it was. A lot of equipment is starting to go down again. One day they brought in a crew who did a good job of quick repairs on some things. That should probably be a quarterly thing along with the assigned maintenance person handling repairs.

Some employees seem to walk the floors more which assist in the clients wiping down equipment more. People are going back to not putting weights up, though. It might keep more of the strange lurkers from making females and elderly people feel uncomfortable if the staff keeps a regular sizeable crew and walks the floor on a rotation.

I did recently see a staff member have a conversation with a man whom I had only seen once or twice prior who seemed to be lurking instead of working out. The employee caught the man steering at the people in the aerobic room from the back of the class. Then the man moved to the stationary cycles while a class was being taught. The employee escorted that man out of the aerobics room and the man left 24 Hour Fitness for a while hut eventually returned but didn't seem to do the same inappropriate behavior. Good on that employee for being aware, professional, and keeping others safe and comfortable.

It is nice to finally see a video play on a couple of TV sets showing what is expected by everyone in 24 Hour Fitness.

Too many people operate equipment wrong, ineffective, unsafe, or slam things and break them. Some also try to work too many different major machines as an individual without courtesy of others.

We need to keep some consistent leadership with a presence to keep continuity and an effective and happy staff instead of such a huge constant turnover.

Overall, this is a nice Fitness center with plenty of equipment to maintain or improve your health and fitness.

Some of the machines are pretty awesome and are definitely an upgrade after moving out of the home gym but with machines in mind, there is not enough leg equipment for the amount of customers working out here. There is constantly a queue of some sort when trying to use certain equipment. The water pressure for the fountain could be better too. Usually takes me 5 minutes to fill my water bottle.

I have been going to 24 hour fitness for 4 years. I recently started going to this gym because it is closer to work. The gym overall has a great and friendly staff in the morning. Machines are great and work out environment fits all of my needs or wants. However, the female restroom is dirty, moldy, run down, and needs very serious attention. There is no excuse why the restroom and shower area is as filthy as it is. Every shower has mold and gunk growing inside. The floor is worse and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or sanitized in months or possibly years. This is not fair to customers.

I stopped going to this specific 24 hour gym because there is no control over the amenities. I wish management did better at their job here because there is so many unsupervised kids here that it takes away motivation to be even step in this place. Today I went to give it one last try before I change gyms and kids left chalk (chalk is not allowed which is stated in policy)all over the squat rack area as well as paper plates and food. I use to enjoy coming here but it’s just out of control. Other members have talked about this issue but nothing has changed.

1. Equipment is not maintained the equipment is wobbly to be specific weight benches and
exercise machines - be very weary for your safety.
2. Overcrowded and no wipes or spray available to wipe down 👎 machines
3. Not an updated club

The gym could be awesome, however, they do a horrible job of keeping the gym clean, there is cockroaches in the bathroom and spa area. Additionally, the spa has been down for more than a week and our membership prices continue to increase. I've been a member for a long time , however, I'm thinking of taking my business elsewhere.

Could be a nice place if they were consistent with keeping wet area clean. Also, hot tub temperature needs to be elevated a bit and, the shower room is filthy! The pool’s heater hasn’t worked in 4 months! They’ve had a hard time getting a part for the heater. I just drive to Ft Worth’s gym on Horne&I-30 they have more equipment and nice gym.

They never extended their hours since covid. They still close early instead of staying open late. It should be called 16 hour fitness. The other locations in my area a very clean, this one is usually pretty dirty. Every time I go there would be the same dust bunny in the same corner for two weeks strait. And no I’m not exaggerating. There have been other things every time I go that are just dirty, or equipment broken. I go because it’s close by, but I always regret it and wish I made the drive to the other locations. I don’t know why I keep hoping something about this location would change. I would give one star, but the second star is because of the few staff members I encountered that were nice. And when I say few I mean FEW. I’ve been visiting this location on and off since 2016. I really hope management changes; please turn this place around.

Applied for a 3 day pass online. Got there fully committed to workout and scope the environment to see if this was going to be my gym home and i was turned away because i didn’t have a state ID to use my 3 day pass. Unfortunately, because of covid I can't get my ID updated until April.

Crazy annoying to get up in the morning, take your preworkout, only to discover the gym isn’t open. At this point, you can’t blame it on the employees. This has been happening too often for too long. Either the owner needs to fix their toxic environment that causes them to not keep people, or they need to get their own a** out of bed and make sure this gym is open as advertised

I’ve only been going to this location for about a month, but it has quickly become my favorite location in the area. It’s not even the one closest to my home, but I find it worth the drive. They’re very good at enforcing masks. In my experience, the fellow gym-goers seem to be pretty courteous and practice good gym etiquette more so than at some other locations. I’m not sure why that is, but it’s a noticeable difference. The front desk people are always friendly (but not annoyingly chatty), and the equipment selection is good and seems to be in good condition.

Pretty good gym to workout in. Gets full really quickly and it's a tight space so the mustiness is real. However, the staff does a good job at keeping it clean and are surprisingly attentive. Bathrooms are clean which you never see in gyms in the area so can't go wrong working out here. Has everything you need to get a good workout in.

I had been a member in Rockwall club a few years back before I joined the Army and now that I am out of the service and I still remember all the good memories with 24hr fitness and wanted to give it a try again. I moved close to one club, I came here with intention to request a guess pass first before I put down a one year commitment but the front desk lady refuse to do it because the club policy does not allow here to make a pass if I don’t have a local ID. I just move here from Fort Hood so my ID is still not changed and I can’t just change my ID in order to get in the gym club. It is ridiculous. I will never love 24hr fitness ever again. Terrible...

After being in Planet Fitness for two years , I got bored and gave this Gym a try. Communication was great and they did give me a great deal. Gym is nice and I love the pool after a nice work out. I don't give them a 5 because restrooms and lockers need to be more clean but that something that can be fix.

Covid petri dish. Masks required and all that...not being enforced. Capacity of 20 people and I saw over 25 working out. Most weight lifters had masks hanging on their chin. Even employees talking together with masks off. Total joke. I posted a pic of guy without mask on elliptical while employee doodles on her phone in the background. Yeah, really concerned about our health. No wonder TX covid cases are skyrocketing. Membership...canceled.

Do not get in the water here. Only smelly foul old people who don't shower get in. The locker rooms are filthy. The showers have NEVER been cleaned. Mold and mildew on everything. This is how all the locations are because they hire cheap illegal aliens to do the cleaning who come in late at night and run a dirty mop over the floor and leave. Its a Covid 19 infestation ground. Nasty and gross locker rooms/bath/ shower area. I've complained to the manager and to coorporate but nothing improves. The shower drains hold water until it rises over your flipflops. The tile floors look as if have never been mopped much less cloroxed. Most often no shampoo or toilet paper. Gross and nasty, neglected/ run down. Noone cares
