The renovation is a fail. They moved all the cardio equipment into 1 semi enclosed area with no air circulation or ceiling fans and they only have THREE elliptical machines in this supposedly new and improved layout. Have been a member for years. So disappointing. Just cancelled and looking elsewhere.

I can’t say that I’ve had a bad experience here, the staff is always polite and helpful.

With the new remodel the machines seem a bit crowded or maybe that’s just me because I only used the treadmills before remodel.

My only gripe would be with the fans, or lack there of. How or why would one turn the basketball gym into a cardio room without fans??? makes absolutely no sense to me..the one big industry floor fan is either off or turned away from the treadmills…in that room- one big circular ceiling fan would do the trick honestly…

Oh well just be sure to always have your water with you :)

Since the newly remolded gym has been open for several weeks now the Cardio exercise room (formerly basketball gym) has no air conditioning or air circulation in it there are approximately 8 flood lights, 11 TV's and 50 Cardio machines with 21 people using the Cardio machines at 5:15 a.m. Ive spoke with the employees, coaches, assistant managers and manager plus I've left several reviews and now they have place a big boy circular fan in the rear of the room in the corner which circulates dead hot air from the floor and corner and now I have seen 2 different verbal confrontations from members about some turning the fans off to allow them to sweat more I have informed management about this but as usual they seem not to care about its members and only about the yearly dues. I was told they were going to put a sign on the fan directing members not to turn off or redirect the fans in any way but yet again that seems worthless to the management team. I personally do feel this is a safety issue with the confrontations I have witnessed and asking everyone to complain to the management team and post your issues. I've been told the air circulation vents were never hooked up correctly when the gym was built as well as the remolding contractors broke the and that they were also suppose to move them but never did. Management has informed me corporate is aware of the issues but nothing has been to to address the concern of members since they remolded. Here we come EOS Fitness thanks to corporate at 24HR Fitness.

I’ve been a member at this gym several times over the years, and while I’ve generally had good experiences, my visit yesterday left a poor impression—especially for a potential new member I brought along.

My friend recently moved to Texas from Oklahoma and is now living in Oak Point. I had spoken highly of the recent renovations, and she was interested in trying the gym before committing to a membership, so we stopped by to set up a free 3-day trial. However, when she presented her Oklahoma ID, the front desk informed her she wasn’t eligible. She then provided her new Texas lease agreement as proof of residency, but the manager claimed she wasn’t familiar with Oak Point and stated that only those within 20 miles could receive a free trial.

After checking the terms online, I found no mention of any mileage restriction—only that the offer is for “local residents.” Considering the McKinney location is actually the closest one to Oak Point, it felt unreasonable to deny her the trial and instead charge $30 for three days, especially when a full month’s membership costs roughly the same.

While the facility updates are great, the lack of clarity around policies and the unhelpful response from staff made for a disappointing experience. Will likely be pursuing other venues for my personal Gym.

As an avid LA Fitness member, I decided to check out the newly renovated 24-Hour Fitness nearby — and I was **really impressed**. The gym is clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with **everything in working order** (lockers, soap, and spotless bathrooms included). My first workout here was great, and I’ll definitely be making this my new gym home.

I visited this gym expecting a premium workout experience. What a disappointment!
I normally use the Allen 24 hour fitnesss, which is a sport club. The McKinney location was smaller and more cramped with less equipment. The basketball court is only a half court, the lap pool is smaller as is the aerobics area. The workout area has less equipment but is more crowded due to the cardio and weights all being located in the same area.
There is no towel service and nothing premium about this gym to warrant it being called a "Super sport"
Very disappointed with this facility.
Its just a ripoff!

Follow up...
This gym was just remodeled and renovated. They did a horrible job with the cardio room moving it into the old basketball court where it is now isolated from the rest of the gym. They removed most of the elliptical machines, probably one of the more popular pieces of equipment, leaving only 3 and today one of those is broken.
The weight area looks real nice but you can tell little to no thought went in to the cardio area.
I would give them a 2.5 stars to date.

Went to this gym years ago and wanted to try out the gym because they updated all of their equipment. They offered a three day free trial wanted to try out the gym but was told to absolutely not by the manager because had to pay $30 just to even try out the gym. The recent remodel is great. There's a lot more machines and they doubled their free weight racks to 8. Many machines are new, and overall the gym is more functional and has greater capacity. The new bottle fill stations are great; They did not add any additional free weight flat benches....still only two and almost always occupied. Wish they improved the locker rooms and one of the men's room showers is still out of order.

This club is the worst maintained I’ve ever been to. None of the water fountains have cold water. Some don’t work well enough to even get a drink unless you have a container. Most of the showers are broken. The hot tub has never worked properly. The jets only have bubbles. They finally replaced the Stairmasters because none of them worked. I would go to a different club if one was closer.

Years ago, I worked out at 24 Hour Fitness in Georgia and had a good experience, so when I moved to McKinney I signed up here, assuming the standards would be the same. Unfortunately, this location is shockingly dirty.

The workout floor looks like it hasn’t been properly cleaned in months, but the real deal-breaker is the showers. After a workout, I like to rinse off and feel clean — but here that’s impossible. The showers are covered in black mold, and there’s no safe place to set a towel. It’s unhygienic and unacceptable, and the staff doesn’t seem to care.

This gym isn’t even that old, yet it looks like it’s been neglected for years. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the showers in a North Korean prison were cleaner. Management should have addressed this a long time ago.

I can’t wait for the new gym opening down the street by Hideaway Pizza. When it does, I’m confident most of us will be switching.

The membership here is very reasonable—$250 a year or about $30 a month. If you’re looking for something high-end, Lifetime might be an option, but they close early. What makes this gym stand out is that it’s truly 24/7 and has all the equipment you need. If you live in the area, it’s a great choice, even as a backup gym. I don’t know of any other local gym that’s open around the clock.

The closest location we can go to is freaking Lewisville? You did not disclose this was going to be an issue. We feel lied to. I love that this gym is open 24-hours! My schedule doesn’t usually align with the hours of operation for other gyms, but my membership here means I have no excuses! My main purpose for this review though is to commend the front desk attendant, James. He hustles his entire shift - stocking paper towels, re-racking weights and cleaning. He remembers your name and makes you feel really welcomed. He is a major asset and he’s already made a difference in my overall experience here in the last few weeks. Great job, James!

We stopped by 24 Hour Fitness in McKinney for a tour and were really impressed. The gym is super clean, spacious, and has everything we were looking for. The pool and sauna looked especially nice. We’re excited to start using them soon!

Their Sales person Anthony gave us the tour and was awesome to work with. He was friendly, informative, and made us feel right at home. He answered all our questions and never made us feel rushed or pressured.

By the end of the visit, our whole family decided to join. We haven’t officially started working out yet, but we’re excited to dive in and make the most of everything this location has to offer!

Since I started going to 24 H Fitness in McKinney, my experience has been extremely positive. The environment is always clean, organized, and well-maintained, which gives a sense of safety and comfort to everyone who trains there.

The gym has a wide variety of modern equipment, all in great condition. There are machines for every type of workout, which makes it easy to tailor exercises to individual needs.

One thing I truly appreciate is the diversity of people who come to this gym — there are young, adults, middle-aged people, and older adults like myself. It’s an inclusive and welcoming space, filled with determined individuals focused on improving their health.

I would especially like to highlight Datron, who works in the Sales Service Associate department. Even though that’s his official title, he goes above and beyond, always attentive and professional in everything he does. He’s kind, helpful, and truly makes a difference in the overall experience at the gym. A true asset to the team!

I highly recommend 24 H Fitness – McKinney. I’ve always been treated with great care, and I feel motivated and supported every time I walk in. It’s a special place to take care of yourself.
