Absolute Recomp has some incredible things going for it. The equipment is top-tier with an impressive variety that makes it a bodybuilder’s paradise. The 24-hour access is a huge plus for those of us who like to train either very early or very late, and the location is super convenient with plenty of parking available. I also appreciate that early mornings and midday hours are never crowded — I’ve never had to wait for a machine or cable attachment, which is rare and very much appreciated.

That said, the gym has a bit of a warehouse feel, and unfortunately, that seems to affect cell service inside — it’s virtually nonexistent. While the gym does offer Wi-Fi, it doesn’t actually work. When I asked about it, the staff mentioned that they usually disconnect Wi-Fi on their phones, which somehow improves connectivity — but that hasn’t been my experience.

As someone who works remotely and needs to stay connected, the lack of reliable service or functional Wi-Fi is a dealbreaker. It’s disappointing because everything else about the gym is fantastic. I really hope management looks into improving the Wi-Fi situation because this place could easily be one of the best gyms in the area.

Overall, Absolute Recomp is a great facility for serious lifters and those who don’t need to stay connected while training — but for my needs, I can’t see myself returning to this location.

Been coming to this gym for a year now and it’s been the best experience. Coming from a background of commercial gyms (LA fitness, 24 hour fitness, TTF, etc), i’ve tried every type of gym and their offered equipment and honestly AR has had the best. Everyone here is friendly and the staff is really helpful.
Definitely worth the price for a gym that isn’t ever too busy.

Downvoting to 3 stars for a few reasons.

1) Powerlifting section of this gym is insanely hot and could use better air conditioning flow.

2) The Barbell collars are all super worn out and the weights slide around. There aren't enough pairs to cover all the racks

3) There are chalk buckets but they are empty.

4) Music is super loud

5) There are two water fountains and one water bottle filler. However, when the bottle filler is in use, the adjacent fountain doesnt have any water that comes out.

Other than that, staff and people are great. Lot of elite powerlifters, bodybuilders and chill people.

I had an amazing experience with Dalton at the North Richland Hills location. He was incredibly helpful in walking me through all the membership options, including the day pass, five-day pass, and seven-day pass for drop-ins, as well as the full membership details.

What really stood out was Dalton’s patience and professionalism. He never made me feel rushed, no matter how many questions I had, and trust me, I had a lot! His ability to clearly explain everything and take the time to make sure I understood it all was outstanding.

Customer service like this is rare. Dalton made me feel truly valued, and that kind of service makes a big difference. Honestly, he’s the kind of person I want to see first when I walk into the gym. His communication skills, patience, and welcoming attitude left a great impression.

Phenomenal equipment and machines. This is a bodybuilders bodybuilding gym. Only thing that detracts from it is the simian babble music they blare that assails the senses. Its not popular or cool, its a psyop by Epsteins' cousins. But its ight, bring headphones and listen to some Arghoslent 🤙🏻
