I think this is a awesome mauy thai gym that teaches authentic mauy thai in the traditional thai manner. I checked out other mauy thai gyms before finally checking this one out and I really loved it. I was interested in crosstraining in mauy Thai to get more proficient in low kicks, knees, elbows, thai clinch, and face punches. Kru sosa is definitely knowledgeable, skilled, and most importantly worthy of being called a master of fighting in my eyes in that he understands it indepth. He is also very humble and is like the Mr Miyagi of thai boxing. If anyone is interested in learning authentic mauy thai in the traditional thai method whether your a traditional martial artist like me looking to crosstrain in the art of mauy Thai for awhile or someone new to martial arts wanting to gain in shape, compete, or learn effective self defense using mauy thai I would highly recommend this mauy thai gym for anyone interested in studying the art of 8 limbs. This place deserves 5 stars.

Probably the best Muay Thai in Dallas, definitely worth it even if it's a little out of your way. Khru John and his crew are passionate and very knowledgeable, and they've created a wonderful culture where everyone works as a team. Nobody has a big ego, and every time I go I feel very much supported by my teammates and my coaches. It's old school Muay Thai that's beneficial for anyone, and it's definitely a gym to stay for the long term. I appreciate everyone here

Best decision I’ve made in years to train with such a dedicated group of individuals and teachers who help in your personal growth and help train the art of Muay Thai. Very proud to be a part of this gym.

My daughter has only been going there for 3 months and she absolutely loves it! My husband and I wanted her to take some type of classes for self-defense purposes since she just started high school. We can already see how much good it has been for her going to the gym. It has given her more confidense and has given her the courage enough to make some new friends as well. I can not say enough great things about this gym and the man that teaches there! It's a very friendly, positive, family type atmosphere. There are no egos there, the more experience people are always helpful and giving tips to the beginners Khru John is always giving you positive feedback when your doing well and sharing his wisdom on how to better their technique during class. You want to learn Muay Thai? Then this is the gym to go to. You don't have to be afraid that you don't know anything about it, because you will learn at the pace that Khru John believes you can do and won't push you unless he thinks your ready.

Khru John is the best teacher of Muay Thai in my humble opinion, I've trained under his teaches for many years. The things I learned from him helped save my life. This is a lifestyle that requires a discipline you can develop under his guidance. I started with Khru as a younger man, working with him. The community is one where I truly experienced a unity that made every level of fitness feel welcomed. Thank you Khru for everything you've taught me about this art form and life in general.

Sincerely, Jeremiah Simmons

Khru is a remarkable teacher - for both Muay Thai and the philosophy of Martial Arts. He does great work with everyone, from beginners picking up a new hobby to fighters looking to compete. The gym itself is friendly and welcoming, with everyone supporting each others growth. I have been going for a few months now and have left every class feeling better than I came in. Highly recommend!

Aiki Muay Thai is a gym with professional trainer, welcoming culture, and a variety of trainees to match your level of experience.

It is an equally good place to start as a beginner and to master your existing martial arts skills.

You can expect to have a balanced schedule that includes techniques break-down, cardio and strength exercises, as well as partner practicing and (optional) sparrings.

I have been a member of this gym for about 4 years, I cant say enough great things about the gym, the instruction and atmosphere are top notch, besides the fact that I cant say enough(at 51yrs old)about how much my conditioning has improved both mentally and physically. Coach John is by far the best coach I have met on my journey thru life.

My Husband and Son visited Aiki Muay Thai for Fathers Day. Both told me it was one of the best class experiences they had ever experienced. My husband plans on attending regularly and my son would as well if he didn't live three hours south of DFW.

Kru Sosa is the real deal! I've been working one-on-one with Kru Sosa for a year and have seen significant improvements and proficiency with both my Muay Thai and boxing skills. Kru Sosa is an excellent teacher who will meet the student where they're at, both in terms of skill level and learning style. I've learned so much both in and outside the ring from my training with Kru Sosa and highly recommend his gym to anyone interested in learning and/or developing their Muay Thai and boxing skills.

Kru (Instructor) John is the man. I've been going to Aiki Muay Thai with my 4 kids (ages 8 - 13, 1 girl, 3 boys) for close to 2 years and I cant say enough good things about Kru John and his team at Aiki Muay Thai. My humble assessment of Kru John is he can take you to the edge of your perceived limits of skill, physical & mental toughness and beyond if thats where you want to go, while at the same time addressing children and others at the the right intensity for their individual objectives. The skills learned here extend well beyond Muay Thai. Confidence, Courage, Perseverance, Patience and more.

I have gone to AiKi Thai for several years. I got myself into the best shape of my life (even though I had no previous martial arts training) and improved my character and inner strength. As I started a family and had two young children, I went to the classes less and have regretted it. Training there is something that I should have prioritized even during the busiest times because of the strength that it gave me.

Khru Sosa teaches authentic Miay Thai with respect to the ancient traditions of the martial art. That being said, his class is immensely useful if you are looking for practical self-defense and a great work out with a family atmosphere and philosophy.

Khru Sosa is an expert and is always very honest and insightful with his teaching as are Khru Mike and Khru Mark, who also teach there. I give Khru Sosa and Aiki Thai my highest personal recommendation as they have taught me much and changed my life for the better.

Started training with Kru Sosa 5 months now and after going to a few gyms before joining here I wish I had come here first. I spent 4 years in Thailand working and training and this gym is for real. Check out Aiki Muay Thai gym if your serious about training muay thai. JJ

I’ve been studying martial arts since I was 16 and I’ve had a lot of good coaches over the years, but none of them compare to Khru John Sosa here at AMTB. He doesn’t teach Muay Thai just as a way of combat, he teaches it as a way of life for both inside and outside the gym. I consider him the Mr. Miyagi of Muay Thai. The atmosphere of the gym is very welcoming and friendly and our goal is to help every student get better whether your a beginner or experienced. My striking skills have improved tremendously since I’ve trained here and I highly recommend this place.

This is one of my favorite places to be, everyone here is like family. Khru John has studied the martial arts for his entire life and has lived muay thai for many many many decades; to me there is no better teacher than him. If you truly want to study muay thai then this is the place for you.

Let me begin this review by saying that this gym is second to none!. I have been coming to this gym for about 3 years now and I can say that the instruction, the training and the atmosphere is simply fantastic. The head instructor, Khru John Sosa, is very passionate about what he does and makes sure to make his new students feel welcome and at home. Not only that, but he assures that each student learns more and more of the art of Muay Thai. The camp has a very family-oriented atmosphere and we are all a family away from family. If you want to learn self-defense, get a great workout or pursue greater knowledge in the arts of Muay Thai and Western boxing, then this is the place to train at!

I have had the privilege to work with John over the last 10 months, and I could not be happier with the time I have spent at this gym. Each time I step into the Aiki Muay Thai Boxing Gym, I feel welcomed and excited to learn. If you are looking for a place to learn, work hard, and enjoy yourself while doing it, this is the place to be. This gym provides a great atmosphere to not only improve yourself from a self defense and fighting perspective, but also to meet great people and have a great time. A truly awesome coach and gym!

This place I found by luck. I did not know what I was looking for in a muay thai school or if I even wanted to train it. But I found out real fast that the instructor Kru John is the best I have seen. It let me know that thats where I would actually learn new things and not recycled cookie cutter classes. My respect to Kru John the man knows what he is doing. Many other instructors will dazzle you with how they have this medal or said championship. Thats all and good for them. Yet they do not know how to teach, which is the most important part when you are the instructor and a student wanting to learn. So if you want to learn, really learn come here . Or if you are satisfied with going over the motions where you might be training now then have at it.

This gym is fantastic! The classes are small to medium size (weekends are busier), and are VERY technical. Since the classes aren't overly big, there is a great focus on one on one training. That is, the trainer walks around and actually makes sure you get the technique right. This is a great way to improve quickly. There are boxing and muay thai classes, but it is mainly focused on the latter.
I went for about a year until I unfortunately had to move out of town, but I would recommend this gym to anyone who is interested in learning a martial art or becoming a fighter. Getting in a kickboxing gym like this can be intimidating, but everyone at this gym is friendly and respectful, and the Khru keeps it that way. You'll learn the art of Muay Thai, get some conditioning done and meet some great people!
