Let’s be real, the gym is great but not the best on Monday - Wednesday. This place is packed like a can of sardine and don’t get me started on the parking spots. Tighter than a nun on Sunday School. I’m surprised I couldn’t start a couples membership with my cousin, but they let parents start one with their kids. Weird… That’s another thing, young kids will just open the for their friends. Look. I’m not jealous, but they’re taking up space and equipment from the real members. Nevertheless, this is the perfect for all (Advanced Lifters) and anyone that is always local to Carthage. Variety of cardio machines and an ample amount of them. An abundant of workout machines, but this also leaves less room for the members. A terrible sitting leg curl machine since I left in April 2025, it’s been like that for a couple of years. With the audacity to replace many other workout machines, never the sitting leg curl. I did cry out 1 tear after they swapped the flawless shoulder press machine with wide to close grip variations. Now they have this pitiful only close grip shoulder press. 3 different benches to workout your pecs. The flat bench here is popular when you’re reaching new personal records (PR), but this will cause an endless waiting line. The boomers, geezers and uncs will gather around it at on Monday to start a “friendly” competition. PR or ER. They also have 2 adjustable bench/squat racks. (One of these racks has crash pads for power lifters to slam the weights on the ground). 2 smith machine and 2 cable machines. Any membership for 1 year or more is better than Anytime Fitness, although you’re tied down to few gyms and I don’t know where the others are located. (A member from Center came and told me there a couple more gym, why wasn’t I aware. Idk) As a male I can’t tell you how the only female section is. I bet you that’s where all the space went. Being a local gym they offer military and first responders discount.

Up to date equipment and staff,, the people here are young ambitious and putting work in, ain't too many walking around on phones and FB lol. The PT's here are highly intelligent and will be more than happy to help! Best gym around For Sure!

Good luck if you paid for a yearly membership in October and want a refund on the remaining half you aren’t allowed to use, and need to make expensive additions to your home gym to meet PT requirements for a medical condition.
You ask for an owners email to appeal to them for a reasonable request, and you get a LA mailing address with no names and a shoulder shrug... terrible customer service and appreciation towards a loyal, repeat customer with multiple household memberships.
Your membership fees are way more important that your health goals, apparently.
No intent to not come back later on or asking for something for free; just a return on money I should have the option to spend on the equipment I need to maintain the physical mobility TO come back to the gym when it opens- all knowingly at my own expense with no voucher/compensation expected or desired. Since they aren’t allowed to be open for what could be a considerable portion of the year I paid for, we should all have that option like the monthly payers do... we get penalized instead, and then ignored.

This is a great gym with plenty of equipement. I love the atmosphere and the community here is rather friendly. Most all of the machines are in good condition and everything is kept pretty clean for the volume of patrons. There is a large enough variety of equipement that i rarely have to wait for someone to finish using something which is nice. The bathrooms are private with some including showers. I would like to see an inversion table for advanced ab work and lower back relief. Maybe a large pool one day for cardio? Apart from that i can't think of much to improve on tbh. Great job, All Hours Fitness Carthage.
