I have been coming here for 3 months now and I feel amazing. The trainers know exactly what they are doing and they make you feel so comfortable. I am 46 and I have never done strength training before and this is the type of class that makes you want to keep coming back. The personal attention you get from these trainers and at the same time doing things at your pace makes you feel so content and satisfied when you leave this class. I highly highly recommend to anyone that is looking to have a stronger body. I came here with the intentions of being stronger and not feeling so weak and brittle, I was not out to lose weight but when you gain muscle your body does change and you and others do notice the difference. I can’t endorse this gym and these gentlemen enough for anyone interested in improving their health and wellness. 3 months ago I started working out here with the goal of being stronger. I have lost 10 lbs. and gained muscle in that time period. At 51 years old, that is monumental! I feel the improvement in function in almost everything I do.
Atlai and Jonah are consummate professionals and terribly warm to boot. I always see their big bright smiles and a friendly greeting when I walk in the door. It doesn’t matter what kind of day I had prior to the gym, when I walk out after a workout it’s a great day.

I’m Monica and I am 54 years young. I found that I needed to make a change in my life and move my body more. I wanted to add strength training. I only do my treadmill or rowing machine at home but am truly clueless on strength training. All Purpose Fitness has been the best training I’ve done. I have actually been enjoying my sessions and look forward to them. I may know exactly which muscles groups I've moved since I'm sore but I still feel good moving my body. My time here was absolutely the best! Atlai and the others are super encouraging and motivating! I was nervous being so overweight and going to a gym with having POTS, but they kept a close eye on me for safety and really care about my well being. I've lost a good 20 lbs going here since July and I'm so much stronger. It's also refreshing to see people here 30 yrs and older. I've gone to traditional gyms and it's mostly buffed out 20 year olds grunting and looking for a side piece. Gross.
But this place is great!
I am taking a short break from my membership, only because $300/month is hard to keep up with now that prices for living are going up. But if money was no object, I'd go here 2-3 times a week forever if I could!
I will be back!

My experience with All Purpose Fitness has been incredible from the trainers to the facility! I’ve enjoyed the workout sessions and variety of exercises to work the various muscles that I’ve not worked in a very long time. The trainers monitor your work and adjust accordingly to ensure that you succeed in getting the most out of each workout. If you’re over 40 and ready to start a change in your body, this is the place for you.

I started APF in July of 2024, and am so glad I did. Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of working out, but as I’ve gotten older, put on some extra weight (thanks COVID) and now have a job working from home, I just don’t get up and move around as much as I used to. I realized that my muscles are a lot weaker than they used to be, and I simply wasn’t getting up and walking around enough anymore. So now I attend classes twice a week and I am always glad I went after the class is over.

Every class is very individualized to what I need. I may be working on the same muscle groups as the person next to me, but the exercise is specialized to me in a way that fits my needs. Not everyone is in the same shape or has the same physical fitness needs, and APF customizes your workout to fit your individual needs. They always take into account any injuries I may have, and give me alternate exercises until I’m healed.

Additionally the trainers are always so positive and encouraging! They show you the correct form and way to do each exercise, and encourage questions if you want help or clarification. They don’t push me to do more than I am safely able to. I definitely feel much stronger then when I first started and it also helps make me feel better all around. I definitely recommend APF!

If you’re thinking about joining a gym, without a reservation, I highly recommend All Purpose Fitness training at Gateway Plaza in Live Oak. You don’t just walk in and start working out, you’re part of a small group session led by a consummate professional, your coach personalizes training to your fitness level and the training is tough yet attainable. I’ve been going since June 12th 2024 and honestly, I’d wish I started sooner. My stamina, body balance, and overall fitness level has significantly improved, not to mention just how good I feel. I look forward to each session, and I’m seeing results with no injuries, because I’m doing it right, with a coach! I’ve never lifted weights before and it’s now something I look forward to with each session. It’s a big bang for the buck, worth every penny!

I have to say that All Purpose Fitness is the absolute Best Gym experience I've ever had!! Prior to joining I worked out at home at least 3 times a week.. but it wasn't until I joined All Purpose Fitness that I've seen some remarkable results! I finally fit back into a dress I hadn't been able to wear in over 10 yrs! The personal trainers here help you achieve your individual goals and they work with your personal needs. If you have bad knees, back, shoulder.. whatever things you think might hold you back.. they help you modify the workouts to your needs. The trainers are all friendly, personable and professional. The class size is small so they can monitor everyone. Plus, you get updates on your goals with check in meetings. I totally recommend All Purpose Fitness to anyone 40 or over! I absolutely love All Purpose Fitness!!! They take the time to get to know you, work with you, and help push you to get stronger and to your goals!! The workouts are set up great. They have different modifications to make sure you are at your level and it’s not too easy or hard. I've been going to APF for 2 1/2 months and love it. This type of functional fitness program is great, you are using body weight to increase fitness and balance. I find that my everyday functionality from going down stairs to opening jars has improved greatly. My goal of being able to stand up from sitting/laying on a SUP to standing and paddling is so much closer now.

The class size of 6 people or less is great! You get personal attention while being able to chat and laugh with others.

I have been going to All Purpose Fitness for a little over 3 months now and I highly recommend it. I really like that the sessions are limited to 6 people so each person is able to get a customized workout based on their needs. The head trainer, Atlai, explains each workout and is patient if he has to explain it again if my brain forgets. He greets each person as they walk in and cheers you along the way. I have noticed improvements with my balance as well as being able to do exercises I never imagined I could do. My prior gym experience was just the treadmill because I was always intimidated but I have not felt that way once at All Purpose Fitness. Not only is the staff wonderful - the other patrons are as well as everyone encourages each other no matter if they are rookies or veterans. If you are considering strength training - check them out. I feel very foolish and disappointed in putting my money and trust into All Purpose Fitness. The owners try to make you feel like a valued customer but I learned that all they truly care about is their bottom line. I made the mistake of signing up for another year with All Purpose Fitness when I was not sure what the future would hold all because I was trying to be a loyal customer and support the gym. I got pregnant soon after getting married so we moved an hour away to be closer to our families and I was no longer able to attend the gym. I still had half a year left on my membership that I was no longer able to use, the annual membership was nearly $3,000 (which was $1,000 more than the previous year) so that was almost $1,500 that I would be losing that I could have used for medical expenses. It makes me sick to my stomach that I lost that much money when I'm currently making payments towards the birth of my child. I reached out to Atlai to ask if I could please get a partial refund and he said that he would speak with his partner and they may be able to make an arrangement in the form of monthly refund payments and then he ghosted me. I reached out again after a month of silence and finally received a response that they did not force me to sign up for the yearly membership, while this is true we all know very well how sales tactics are designed to pressure customers into signing up for things they otherwise would not and they used those on me. I was very shocked and hurt by their response to say the least, I had been a loyal customer at APF for two years and I believe they took advantage of that. I try to be a loyal customer as much as I can but this experience has made me reconsider that from here on. What a rude awakening to realize that I was just a number and cash in the bank, not a valued member to the gym.

I would strongly advise against signing up for their annual memberships as you will not receive any kind of refund, no matter what change of circumstance you may have. These boys don't care about your hardships, they will gladly take your money and run - just as any other gym as they would say.

Definitely a great place to reach your workout goals. Workout sessions are done in small group in which personal trainers are there giving you 100% attention. They have different time slots to fill your needs, so if you can’t make it in the morning there is always the afternoon or vice versa. I love this place. There is a coach there named Greg Bell and he’s amazing. I have spent a lot of money with trainers at Golds and never felt like they were as attentive or knowledgeable as Mr. Bell. If you are looking for a good high intensity workout that will burn calories all day this is a great choice. I'd bn looking for yrs for a HIIT (high intensity) workout that I can say is a full body toning workout. They have it setup like circuit training stations here with 3 lanes (light, medium, advanced level). If you join the unlimited visits option then you get a complementary monitoring band, meal prep help, and progress checks. You also have certified wellness coaches to ask questions to help you accomplish your fitness goals. I'll post pics later of some workout setups. I personally have worked up to going to each of the diff workout types (workout types: burn A, burn B, and build A and build B). I absolutely love this place. The first person we talked to was Roland; he was wonderful and made us feel super comfortable.

As for our trainers, Sarah and Greg, they’re fantastic!! They know what they’re doing… very personable, helps modify for your level of fitness but still challenges you, the right amount of push you need to finish a set, make the classes fun and over all a non judgment zone. Even the people around you supports every one and we get to laugh together of how tired we are. You’ll definitely come out sweating but leaving feeling great.

I came into this facility while searching for a fitness solution for my wife. The initial tour with Roland really sold the facility for me. I always had this idea that group classes would be boring and not very productive for me and what I wanted to achieve. I am now 4 months in and have had a blast and have seen good results. I didn’t expect to enjoy the “visual” guide, with the heart rate band, to push me as it has. I use it as a guide to hit at least 700 calories a workout.

The trainers are great. They are great exponents but are not afraid to call you out and correct you if you aren’t doing what you are supposed to be doing. I do have a back injury And they have been awesome about augmenting my workouts.

I would absolutely suggest to anyone to come in, do a tour and get in a few classes to see what you think.

APFT is the greatest investment I’ve made toward my health and fitness - a ‘no judgement’ zone, a very supportive and motivating atmosphere, and professional coaches who genuinely care. With the resources provided and support from all the coaches, I have achieved amazing results. You can too if you’re as dedicated and consistent. They give you the tools you need to be successful, it’s up to you to use them.

Coach Greg is phenomenal. He takes time to demonstrate each workout and genuinely encourages you from start to finish. He ensures your form is correct so you get the most out of your workout & avoid injury. I appreciate that majority of the workouts are low impact yet you really do get a good sweat in. It’s really what I look forward to four days out of the week.

Coach Atlai and Coach Roland are always quick to respond if I have a question or concern. They keep the communication lines open and constantly check up on you via the APFT app or email. Scheduling sessions is very convenient through the ZenApp.

Prior to APFT, I knew the gym but nothing more than a treadmill and zero results. At APFT, I felt right at home and welcomed since Day 1 and knew ever since that it’s where I needed to be and have no regrets. It is worth every minute and penny invested!

When you want the best you go to the best. I am only on week 2 of my 6 week challenge and loving every minute of it. Day 1 of detox I wasn't feeling to well, but with the support of the trainers at All Purpose Fitness Training Studio I got through it. The workouts are modified to our fitness level yet challenging. Through this journey we are not alone. Not only are the trainers awesome, but so are the other group members. Everyone works together as a team and encourage one another to keep going. This is a great establishment to begin a disciplined fitness and nutrition routine. The six-week challenge sets a foundation establishing a routine for weekly meal preps. Update: today was my first duck at the gym since the nationwide shutdown doe COVID-19. I love these guys but I was very leery of going back. When I got there today, Atlai had marked off workout stations for each of to work in. The stations were at least six feet apart and had the equipment we were going to use. There was plenty of hand sanitizer and disinfectant. I never had to go within six feet of the others that were there unless I wanted to. I’m so glad I went and am back on my regular fitness track! So glad I went!

I love these guys. I started working out with Atlai a few years ago after two total knee replacements. I've lost about 25 pounds and can do unassisted pull-ups! But, more importantly, I can walk and climb stairs. When I first came to Atlai, after my second knee surgery, I couldn't walk up stairs or lift my legs high enough to step up on a curb. My hips were so "locked up" after my surgeries. Now, I can climb stairs, walk with out pain and twist without feeling like I was breaking in half. Truly, these guys care and are awesome. Call them - you won't regret it.

From meal plans, daily check ins online with my coaches, challenging fun workouts, this program is the perfect balance of motivation, accountability and inspiration. I've met some amazing ladies in my classes and we all encourage each other and keep things positive. I've lost 15 pounds and over 30 inches so far and I'm not stopping any time soon! APFT is the best. I have been doing one-on-one training with Atlai since April 2017 and I’ve lost over 40 pounds. APFT provides excellent workouts and nutritional advice. All of my workouts are challenging but when I walk out I feel accomplished, energized and more confident. I am definitely sore after each workout but it’s worth it. I am stronger than I have ever been, not just physically but mentally. Atlai pushes me and keeps me accountable, which has aided in my success. Since I started training with Atlai, this is the longest I have ever stayed consistent with a training routine. I recently joined and have been going for almost 2 months. I feel that the trainers here are really supportive. The fellow members have been encouraging and supportive of one another. I'm currently a part of their 6 week challenge, and so far, I feel SO much better about my body and I see results. Absolutely love APFT! Since day one, I first met with Roland and his positivity and zest for healthy living affirmed this was the program for me. I'm on my third week of working out and following the healthy, yet realistic meal plan and I feel amazing! Coaches Greg and Atlai have been awesome in providing guidance, support and encouragement at every 6am workout. I really enjoy every workout because it goes outside the mundane traditional gym routine. Each session incorporates a circuit training mix that pushes limits, with options for personalizing according to your ability. I have seen the small victories that turned into huge life changes in Patricia Day, Jan & Tim Contreras and other clients. Many of the clients at All Purpose Fitness Training (APFT) have arrived here with preconceived ideas about the definitions of "working out" and "building muscle" and "losing weight," along with that fear & trepidation of just being in a gym setting. Clients come to Atlai & Roland when no other health or fitness professional has cared enough to take the time to develop the personal trainer-trainee relationship and subsequently the perfect personalized fitness program.

They have carefully created a training space that is not at all intimidating to clients who first come in with those preconceived notions of personal training. The space itself is comfortable and boasts all the tools (not endless rows of machines) that Atlai & Roland need to bring you to the next level of a healthier, stronger, more confident individual. Guess what? In the process of all of your hard work with them, you find that the inches and pounds have disappeared. You can touch your toes. You can run a 5K. You can fit into smaller sizes. You can carry extra groceries into the house.

Atlai and his family are a big part of my "framily" and that personal connection is the piece of the personal fitness training program that others lack.

Atlai's intuition, tenacity and perseverance with each and every client makes us want to reach our goals. His goals are our goals. These are traits that put APFT above all others. I'm not training right now for personal financial reasons but I can text Atlai and ask "So, I've been thinking about doing goblet squats. What else should I do to maximize my workout?"
