Sanctuary Yoga is a very serene yoga studio. I really love the nature aspects and how calm the environment is. The instructors are very informed on how to teach quality yoga. The room where we practice yoga is a bit small so the classes fill up fast but I have enjoyed every class and have not felt overwhelmed during the experiences.

I can't say enough good things about this wonderful yoga studio. The teachers are amazing with a wide variety of class offerings and times. You get a secluded and peaceful feel when you arrive that really helps you disconnect/ground. The practice space is inviting and comfortable with a full assortment of props for all. This is one of my favorite places to practice yoga and I look forward to coming back as often as I can.

I’ve been going to Sanctuary yoga for many years now. It’s my go to spot when I’m feeling stressed or wanting to strengthen my practice. There is an amazing variety of classes and I really appreciate the exposure I’ve had to different types of yoga. For me, yoga is about healing and listening to my body. Some times I’m in a vinyasa mood, a yin mood, but more recently I’ve been taking in the sound baths and it has done wonders! The teachers are always very experienced and they have taught me so much. It’s so peaceful and I love doing yoga in the trees. It really is a sanctuary, and the best yoga in town.

Sanctuary is simply the best. I highly recommend classes with Ashley Weber, Amanda Oakley, Lauren McLaughlin, and Angelena W-S, but truly all of the instructors here are amazing. Proceeds from the non-profit, Sanctuary Yoga, support the Amala Foundation---I've attended an Amala event and look forward to attending more. You can get your stretch/workout knowing your donations are making a difference for someone!

Sanctuary is one of the most peaceful places in town. Walking under the branches of one of the oldest Live Oak trees in Texas, the cool shade and deep sense of time awaken the mind and senses. The studio itself is gorgeous yet modest. People from all walks of life come here, with all different body types and intentions. Melinda and Amanda are two of my personal favorite teachers, each with their own approach and disposition. Sanctuary is a very special place.

I love to be in this vortex of amazing serenity...the space is a temple ...the teachers are amazing, funny and so kind. The classes here are sweet ....magical and the best of the best .. the tree ....the times I have spent inside the Sanctuary I really feel blessed...with people who love to support this intention of helping the community. I want to learn more about how to support this cute and peaceful studio.

This is the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had.

I had a class scheduled at Sanctuary Yoga 5:30-6:30 today. I showed up at 5:00pm as it was my first time there. There isn't a front desk or signs of any sort except to go "this way" which points to a huge guest house lookalike. I literally walked into what looked like someones apartment because there's no signs. The 2 girls that were sitting on the couch stared at me "like who the hell are you?" (Understandable) They said the yoga studio is downstairs. I go downstairs and theres a yoga class going on currently. The way I found out is by walking in on it because there's no signs, no reception and I didn't see one soul outside. The instructor told me to wait outside. It's 104 degrees in Austin. Its far from comfortable to just wait outside. I stand there for a few minutes, she comes out, and says your class is at 5:30, NOT 5. I have never been to that place in my life, I wanted to come early, check out the studio, etc. I was so uncomfortable. I have never ever in my life felt so unwelcomed.

I was truly excited for Sanctuary Yoga because of all the great reviews and the pictures. Very disappointed by that experience. What makes it even worse is, why I started yoga is to calm my anxiety, this did the absolute opposite of it. I am trying to go out of my comfort zone to try new places and things, and this experience just reassured me, why I don't like to do so.

Sanctuary is one of my favorite yoga studios in Austin. The views of the trees and string lights are gorgeous, & the variety of classes they offer is so great. I've taken their mindfulness classes, yin & meditation classes & candlelit restorative. Each class so unique! Definitely stress relieving & full of techniques to help you face issues in your daily life. Keep up the great work!

Sanctuary Yoga is easily my favorite yoga studio in Austin! A hidden gem, tucked away from the business of South Lamar. The teachers, classes, and workshops are all amazing and I’ve really enjoyed my time at the studio. And who could forget the adorable studio cat Prudence - she always says hi before/after class!

Sanctuary Yoga is wonderful studio to practice in. The environment is stunning with 400 year old oak trees and there is a real sense of community between teachers and students. The teachers are great and are sensitive to individual needs. Morning classes tend to be rigorous while afternoon classes are slower paced to meet the needs of all.

One of the best in Austin. I wish they had weekend classes , because I would join . Sill it’s an incredible space with knowledgeable teachers without bush-league, edm/dubstep music.

The setting is beautiful. The location on South Lamar is great. It's pretty affordable, the teachers and students care about yoga much more than a workout, and the schedule is so dense there's always a good time to go. The best studio I've ever been to.

Ive been to plenty of yoga studios around town. Sanctuary is by far my favorite. Not only is it a beautiful studio, but it just radiates positive energy. The instructors are talented and they truly care about you and your practice.

Ive been taking Lizzie's classes and it has been very rewarding. She really knows her stuff! Her flows are super empowering and her choice of music couldn't be better. I would definitely recommend it to all!

Thank you Sanctuary !

I have liked Sanctuary Yoga thus far, however, this morning the instructor never showed up to her 6:30am class. Myself and two other students waited 20 minutes after class should have started with no sign of anyone.

Sanctuary yoga at Amala is truly a wonderful place. The yoga is in small classes so it is highly individualized. The Sanctuary that it is in is basically integrated into nature and you can hear wind chimes and if its nice outside they will leave the door open. Great for people that listen to their intuition, like to get grounded with earth and be in a beautiful energy enviroment. Grat for blackswan people!
