Disappointing that a new gym like this only two months since the grand opening smells as bad as it does and is filthy as it is in the restrooms, the design and layout is two upscale for what employees have let it become in terms of filth, unclean etiquette and poor cleanliness

Love the gym, great equipment and love that is “24 hours” but it sucks to come in after business hours because the device you have to scan to enter the gym never works. Always have to wait for someone to open the door. I know I’m not the only one because I always see people waiting outside as well.

Really could be a great gym with better customer service. I have been multiple times during supposed “Staffed hours” And could not find a single staff member anywhere to be lead into the recovery room. Which honestly is the only reason I signed up for this gym. They also Close the bathrooms during peak hours for sometimes up to 30 minutes for cleaning. I’m aware that sometimes these circumstances can’t be avoided, But there has got to be a better solution. I also cannot get the after hours access to be recognized on my phone, leaving me to have to go through ABC every single time I want to come early in the morning. Highly annoying. When I asked the front desk associate about it, she told me there was nothing she could do.Overall, great facility, but poor customer service.

A friend of mine was scheduled for 4 personal training sessions with George III from Amped Fitness on Hulen, he was a no-contact no-show. Later on, my friend found out that she was, in fact still charged for those 4 personal training sessions that she DID NOT receive. She went to the staff to ask if anything could be done in terms of a refund, and they said "that they can't do anything because when she signed up she paid for the gym membership, and that the use of a personal trainer is the same as regular gym usage." and because of that, they can't they cant give her a refund. They also dared to say that if she wanted to leave her personal training contract that she would have to pay an additional $500 on top of NOT getting her money back for 4 personal training sessions that she DID NOT receive.

I signed up prior to them having opened. I was impressed by the atmosphere and variety in equipment. Customer service is where I’ve noticed the gym lacks, however.
I go to the gym at 5:45 and have to leave sharply by 6:30.
This morning when I arrived there was a sign in the door that said “Closed due to Power Outage” (which ended at 12:30am). I only drive 3 mins but could you imagine driving 20 just to arrive to a sign in the window? There were no workers there, even though they “open” at 5 so everyone who arrived at 5:45 just had to go home. The feeling was that the morning shift simply didn’t get there by opening time in order to take down the sign.
If it was the case that they would have needed to close for the morning an email or notification would have been nice. It take a lot of planning and will power to show up at the gym before 6am and then to have to turn around and go home doesn’t feel good.
Similar instances have occurred before…
I often lose time working out as the doors are often locked when I arrive, despite saying they open at 5am. For several weeks I wasn’t sure how to operate the application they have to open the doors during times at which the gym is not staffed and lost out on exercise time. It also seems odd to me that a 24 hour gym doesn’t at least have one staff member there at all times for safety reasons.
Furthermore the staff that are there when I arrive are often on their phones paying very little mind to what’s happening in the gym. More attentiveness to your clients and the space would go a long ways I think. While the space is amazing nothing speaks as loudly as how you treat the people paying to be there.

I really like this gym during nonpeak hours but do not forget your headphones because the music is brutal. Same six songs on repeat, all with robotic beats and robot auto tuned voices. Half of it is in Spanish (and I speak Spanish) but it is the same soulless sound over and over. Not exactly the kind of music that gets you fired up to lift. In fairness music taste is subjective but what is playing at both Fort Worth locations is just flat out annoying.
I really want to give this place another star because the equipment and setup are solid. I am sure I am not the only one who thinks the music just does not fit the gym culture.

The gym itself has everything I would need from turfed areas, free weights and all kinds of machines! I’ve also been training with Naadia for the last month after not being in the gym for 4 years and it’s been great! She makes sure to encourage and motivate me to go further in my fitness journey all while providing nutritional help and of course staying positive!! I’m so glad I decided to join this gym and great community!

Naadia is the best!!! I can’t say enough great things about my experience at AMP! My trainer is absolutely amazing — knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely dedicated to helping me reach my goals. Women’s locker room is currently like under construction. I like the space of the gym, the equipment is good, and the daycare is a huge plus for this place. I will say there is a 54 dollar charge per year (no matter how long you get a membership for) so if you’re just doing it for a month you will owe that cost. Amenities other than the sauna are only during employee hours. But the stuff is nice.

Was excited for the gym but after all the opening push backs, I decided to go to a different gym. I’ve been trying to cancel since August and no one has responded to me… they don’t answer phones or emails. I was charged $87 few days ago. Terrible customer service when I went in to figure everything out. Showed the proof of me trying to contact them multiple ways over the course of the 3 months. He essentially blamed everything on me and said it’s my responsibility and he didn’t take any accountability for lack of communication on their end. Wasn’t helpful at all. Manager was rude, condescending, and money hungry. Don’t recommend, wish I could put 0 stars.
(And I hope they don’t just reply to this and tell me to call the phone number that they don’t answer…)

Great gym and helpful staff. I called this morning regarding some concerns about my billing and membership. The staff was very tentative and helpful answering my questions and explaining the billing. If I weren't moving I would have kept my membership but I am excited to see more locations opening and will sign up when a closer location opens.

If I could do zero stars I would. I just called to see why I got charged $162 and when I called the lady who answer was rude and careless. I asked if we could look into why it happened and she said “idk come up here and find out” sounding annoyed. I said is there not a billing department I could talk to and she said the manager. I asked when he gets in and she said 9 so I said I would call back at that time then she just hung up in my face before I could even get that sentence out! Now it’s after 9 and I called 3 times and my call keeps getting pushed to VM. I like the fact the gym is close to my house but the employees have been rude and clueless since day one. Unsatisfactory!

Signed up with the promise they would open in June, they didn’t open till the end of September…. Cancelled my membership ($32.99 a month) in early August because I signed up somewhere else. Followed up with emails, Instagram messages, talking to the marketing people in person, etc.
This morning I woke up to a $85 charge from them. Tried to call and haven’t got anyone yet… I emailed the company they have listed on the app and they said they don’t have them as a client…

Very nice gym and atmosphere! Chris Burns was very polite and professional in answering all of my questions and showing me around the gym, and explaining the different areas! Gyms need more employees like this, who enjoy their job and don’t make you feel like a bother for asking for assistance.

I’ve had a horrible experience with Amped Fitness Hulen. I’ve been in the hospital due to a back injury and have been trying to cancel my membership, but their phone number doesn’t even work, but the bald guy who works their sat there and told me it does, so why won’t my callas go through?. I had to call the McKinney location just to ask someone to get a message to the Hulen manager. When I finally went in person, the bald guy at the front laughed at me and acted rude when I explained the situation. Then he told me I’d have to pay for this month and next month — even though I was just trying to cancel. Totally unprofessional and disappointing experience. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.

My sister signed up for a membership with guest privileges, the same day she went in and brought me with her she was told by the front desk associate that guest were not allowed after 8 and was very rude about it. I understand rules are rules but that was a bad impression considering she just signed up and it was our first time there!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a gym!
UPDATE: amped replied below and the attached phone number is automated with no representative to speak to (not helpful) and the email states I have to contact gym (who, as previously stated, I can't reach) 😮💨😮💨😮💨
I signed up months ago with the expectation that they would open soon. Not only were they severely delayed in opening but there was absolutely no communication to members who paid early. I had to call customer service to cancel membership because the gym was not open (I needed a gym and couldn't wait, i understand there are delays but the lack of communication was my first red flag) it was a horribly difficult process. Then comes the day that the gym opens and I am charged with the founder's fee after canceling. I contacted customer service and they told me they had canceled it but that there was a glitch in their system and I had to get ahold of the gym since they were now open to cancel again. I have been calling the gym for weeks now with no success (no one answers), I have emailed customer service back-and-forth and they said they have reached out to the gym as well. I have come up to the gym multiple times (on my off time) and there is nobody who works behind the counter.The doors are locked and you can't get in. Lack of communication customer service. I'll be reaching out to customer service again and to file a formal complaint. This is by far the worst experience I have ever dealt with, with a gym.
I have no problem changing my review if I could actually get help, someone on the phone or in person to rectify this situation and clarity. Please contact me.

Alyssa was so great with all the kids. She was by herself on a Tuesday night with maybe 12 kids, two of which were crying. If I was in her position, I’d be so overwhelmed. The area itself is great, lots of activities for the kids. Will be back!

Like many people, I saw the marketing for this place for a while on social media and patiently waited for them to open. Ive been there for a couple work outs now, so here's what I think so far.
It's kind of like a half size Absolute Recomp. I've been a member of several gyms now in Fort Worth and to this date, I still think AR is the best gym in Fort Worth. However, in this economy, $70 for their entry level membership isn't sustainable. For that price, you could be a member of 2-3 other gyms.
So that's where Amped Fitness comes in. I would be lying if I said they are the best I've experienced. However, I'm very comfortable saying they are the best VALUE in Fort Worth for these reasons.
1) The obvious, it's brand new. The equipment is nice, and they even have several machines that I've only ever seen at AR before. I think that alone puts them ahead of their other competitors like Fitness Connection, EOS and Planet Fitness.
2) The price. It's very competitive to the other gyms. This is where I can confidently call them the best value. At their middle tier package, you can visit both facilities in Fort Worth and even bring a guest. That paired with the awesome equipment that they own, its a no brainer to chose them over the others. Especially, that there's no contract. The other gyms I've experienced only offer no contract if you go with their higher tier.
3) The size vs variety of equipment. This is actually also a con, which I'll get to later. But as of now, I have yet to experience any congestion in the gym. That could be due to its infancy, but I also like to think its because of their variety. They have a TON of platforms and benches (typically the most used equipment). I can feel confident going there in the evening and not worrying about getting access to equipment. Something I can't say about EOS for example.
4) Amenities. This is where Amped doesn't necessarily exceed other gyms, but at least they match them. EOS offers the same amenities, while FC and PF don't even come close to either. Where Amped pulls ahead a little is with their work out pods (a small room with 1 cardio machine for a private cardio session). I personally haven't tried their extra amenities, but it's nice to know I have access to a few in my middle tier package.
Now to go over some cons. I wouldn't call any of these deal breakers, especially since these could be improved.
1) I spoke about variety of equipment pertaining to benches and platforms, but where they fall short is on smith/plated machines. Unless I'm mistaken, I only found 2 leg extension and hamstring machines. I would categorize this as an essential machine as well. So if just 2 people take those machines, you'll have to improvise a quad/hamstring workout in their gauntlet zone. There does seem to be some room left upstairs, so this could be something they invest in to provide more of in the future.
2) Equipment placement. This actually might be nitpicking, but it kinda seems like the placement of the smith/plated machines are scattered as opposed to being grouped together.
For the most part they are, but you'll probably find yourself encountering a chest, chest, back, leg, leg machine, as opposed to just going to a zone where all the machines hitting that body part are located. I'm sure they did the best they could to place them where they felt was best, and there might be reasons I'm unaware of as well that I'm missing.
3) Cardio Machines. The cardio equipment in their sweat cinema zone are solid. No movement, jiggle or unbalance that I've encountered. However I can't say the same for the treadmills in the cardio zone upstairs. I must have stood on 3 different treadmills that were unstable and unbalanced. Most likely due to uneven flooring. This could easily be fixed by wedging something under them probably.
That's about it. The things I didn't touch on were because I haven't personally experienced them yet such as the coaching and extra amenities. Overall, I highly recommend this gym, and is currently the only one I'm subscribed to.

Still giving this gym a chance to improve, but my experience so far has been pretty disappointing — especially as a founding member.
I signed up on opening day, received my Founder's Rate and membership card, but was never told I needed an additional app to access the gym. I showed up early this morning (9/26/25 at 4:00 AM), only to find out I couldn't get in. Several other members were also outside, confused, and unable to access the gym. One person mentioned the app, but even with it, they couldn’t get in.
When staff finally arrived, I was told it could take a few days for access to work. That’s frustrating, considering we’ve already paid.
I then tried to use the amenities that are supposed to be included with my membership — the dry sauna in the men’s locker room wasn’t working, and I couldn’t get access to the infrared sauna, cold plunge, or hydro massage bed because staff either didn’t have the codes or weren’t available to help.
I understand that it’s a new gym and there may be some startup issues, but the lack of communication and access has made for a very frustrating experience. If I can’t use basic features of my membership, it really makes me question what I’m paying for.
That said, the facility itself looks great — clean, new, and filled with some awesome equipment I haven’t seen elsewhere. Hopefully things smooth out soon, but right now it feels very unorganized.

Everything was great except for one single thing - the time restrictions on guest privileges. The only time me and my daily gym partner can make it in is around 3-4 AM before work so it sadly kind of defeats the purpose of being 24 hours on my end of things. Why not hire overnight staff?
