Anytime Fitness Arlington (2701 W Park Row Dr) is a standout stop-number 34-on my weight loss journey from Sacramento to Texas. The gym has a spacious, open layout with plenty of cardio equipment up front and large windows that let in natural light. The entire facility is extremely well-kept, with staff meticulously cleaning and maintaining both the equipment and the space throughout the day.

The large studio workout space is extremely impressive. The staff was very kind and assisted me with the Evolt 360 biometric scanner as a guest, free of charge. I’m excited to report that my biological age is getting younger!

The showers and locker rooms are spotless.

If I had to come up with any suggestions for improvement - it would be to offer both paper towels in addition to the air dryers in the shower rooms. This is so members can wipe down surfaces after use. While I like the air dryer, I also like having the ability to wipe down the surfaces and maintain the cleanliness that this gym clearly takes pride in.

One small issue worth mentioning, I kept pulling the wrong door when badging in, which I think the signage was a bit confusing?

Overall, this Anytime Fitness location is a great facility deserving a 10 out of 10 rating.

This is the BEST gym in Arlington! I started lifting when I was 12 skinny fat and the people in the gym who had more experience helped me figure everything out, both trainers I was there for also had a lot of good advice to give out. I don’t think I would be where I am now without Anytime Fitness

Beware of this gym.

I joined this gym and enjoyed it for six months until I relocated. I continued to pay for the membership for over a year, as the contract required, even though I never attended again due to my new living location. Continued to pay their semi-annual equipment fees, as well. I was told I could get out of the contract if there wasn’t an Anytime within a certain number of miles of my new home, so when the one in my time closed down suddenly, I used this as a chance to cancel. Or so I thought.

Cancelling the membership was a nightmare, took over an another year and multiple people, promising they’d cancel the contract and end the billing. This never happened. I continued to be billed over $50 monthly for a gym I hadn’t seen in two years at this point. I eventually had to change debit card numbers to end the billing. When I did this, and they could no longer collect payments, they sent a $300 bill to collections!

This gym only cares about trapping as many people in contracts and then hassling cancellations. You can’t cancel online. They won’t return phone calls. The person who can help you cancel is “never there” if you do get someone to answer the phone. Once they have your bank account, they have you snared. Avoid this gym at all costs.

The positive reviews of this gym are bias and gym incentive offered to members who will boost the rating of the gym.

This is a relatively small gym. That brings with it a lot of positives. My waking times are a lot different than most folks so it's nice to be able to just go in anytime I want. Often times that seems like a private gym just for me. Even when there are numerous people around they are well behaved and the facility is clean. Unlike one of the other gems I go to I have never seen an out of order sign here. I'm sure it happens but I've never seen it. The members clean up after themselves and the cleaning person keeps the place great. The showers and restrooms are unisex, don't get excited guys that just means they are private.

Use to love this gym. The people who work out there in the am are like family… they are practically the only reason that I have stayed. However, recently they have decided to bring on a group trainer… For group classes, and these are not free for members when they already charge so much, and have Jim upgrade fees to which they don’t use to upgrade the gym. This gym has needed new dumbbells for years now, and the business owners are negligent and absent. And now I can add clueless as to what their members really want. If anybody came in and asked of the members if they were interested in group classes, pretty much everyone in there would’ve said no. Majority of us are actually certified personal trainers, and to see someone come in there and not be doing workouts with the best form means I don’t want to practice under them. Especially not for a ANOTHER FEE. Unfortunately, the store was better when it was ran by corporate now it’s owned by someone who owns the franchise and are just drawing money from you. You’re better off going to 24 hour fitness or a lifetime and paying the extra fees to get all of the extras. I’m currently looking for a new gym.

I have been a member here for a year and a half and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is less than a 2 minute drive from my house, never too crowded, and open 24/7. It is a simple gym that has all the basic stuff needed. I think it is under new ownership now, and there has definitely been a positive noticeable difference since then. My only complaint is some of the older torn up dumbbells that probably need to be replaced.

Not going to rate 3 stars but I'm close on this one. The restrooms are not well maintained. Broken fixtures and things, clogged toilets. Had to use the restroom in one and shower in another because of the various maintenance issues.

Otherwise it's great and everything in the gym portion was fine.

This gym is alright if you do basic things. It is dirty though. Looks like they expect their members to clean the entire gym. Mirrors have finger/hand prints all over them, you can tell the equipment has a layer of grime on it so be sure to wipe it down before use. The free weight rack wobbles so it’s a little sketchy. Be careful.

Be careful about getting a membership at this Anytime Fitness. When you have a contract with them, they will not let you out unless there is a doctor's note stating that you are unable to workout or proof you have moved. Probably our fault for not reading between the lines. Too many other options out there with no cancellation fees.

Fantastic anytime fitness you can tell they really are invested in this location. They have cool things no one else has like a group training area and some surfboards with balance pads under them. Really enjoyed my evening at this location while taking a little vacation to Arlington.

I have been paying this gym since 2016 and have only gone once. I moved away to Alabama and could not come in to have an in person cancellation. They would not handle anything over the phone or email. I finally had the card they had on file cancelled in June and they sent me to collections without any warning before the collections email. Do not sign up for this gym if you have any intention of leaving. I should not have to call or email more than once to cancel a membership somewhere I have paid for 4 years. I should also maybe get an email or phone call before I am just sent to collections on an account I have paid for no reason.

Okay I’m so glad other people are reporting the fact that they did not cancel memberships when they were supposed to!!! I was actively going to the gym in 2015 (I was 18)with the manager at the time being Ty. I called numerous times trying to cancel since I moved and eventually came back to turn in a written letter... low and behold trying to get my own place I was denied due to this being the only thing on my credit history because they NEVER CANCELLED AND turned me into collections!!! Such a scam and ruining people’s lives because you want to make a quick UNHONEST buck!!! DO NOT TRUST THEM

Overall I would give the facility high marks. Great equipment, available for use 24 hours a day, and clean. But I give it an F when it comes to their showers. Some showers have minimal water pressure, some have broken soap dispensers, none have a table on which you can place any of your clothes, gym bag, etc, which leaves you with trying to balance them on the sink or, YUCK, place them on a toilet. I will be rethinking my membership when it is time for renewal because of the inconvenience of the shower facilities. If I have to drive home every time I go to the gym just to shower it would make more sense to me to find a gym where I could shower, which would save me 30 minutes a day.

Refused to acknowledge or accept cancellation paperwork and are trying to collect $240 in back membership fees for a membership that we had submitted paperwork to cancel 6 months ago. They will not even acknowledge that the received the papers even though it was sent as a reply to the email they sent. When I signed up a year ago, I was told I was doing a 12 month membership. The way they sign you up on the tablet and are rushed through doesn’t allow you to review the contract well. The gentleman assured me it was 12 months. I called to cancel my membership thinking I had fulfilled my contract and the new manager let me know I was unable to cancel because they had me down as an 18 month contract. This gym was the worst decision for a gym I could have made. The gym is consistently dirty and the trainers have specific regulars they talk to and no one else. I’ve never been greeted by any staff member. When I scheduled my original consult the trainer didn’t show up and I was never contacted for a follow up. Also, I froze my account for a month and they still charged me. There is no corporate office to talk to, and there is rarely someone there to answer the phone. Messages go unanswered. The only option they gave me to cancel was for someone to take over my membership. This gym is almost twice the amount of any other gym. Save your money and get a membership with a gym that has some integrity.

This is not the first time this has happened. They have an incredibly slow return policy it took me a month to get my money back last time. I've been going here for a few months now and I have to say that the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and the equipment is well maintained (though occasionally a remote control goes missing). It's a quiet little gym where you can go if you don't want to feel judged and like to work out in a relatively uncrowded place. I'm pretty introverted so I appreciate the fact that I've only ever seen maybe ten people in here at once.
As an added benefit, it's a 24 hour fitness center, it's monitored by camera even when there is no staff around, and the parking lot is well lit.

I have had this membership for 3 months, this may not seem like much. Shane himself has made sure that I could have the experience I needed. I moved from Florida and He went above and beyond to work with me. He speaks as if we went to school together, just genuinely friendly and does not make you feel small. ( well kinda but that's just because he is like He-Man.) over all I have no complaints, always clean, always open, always there to offer assistance for your over all experience.
