Have been a member since 2022, due to traveling across the country for work AF has always been convenient. Had some issues with their 3rd party billing system but have gotten a resolution. Gyms are always clean, stacked with equipment and as long as you don’t go at 5-6 in the evening it’s never too crowded.

I'm giving a 3 rating. While it does have loads of positives, the cost and legal speak tend to take away. Additionally, unlike 24, there is a LEGALLY BINDING contract that REQUIRES 12/18 MONTH commitment. Know that it's 250.00 plus fees for early termination of said contract.

So, again, great gym, bumped up review to 4 stars. Consistently clean, and machines well kept. Wish they'd add another shower. Oh well, can't have it all, can we? The best time to go, in my opinion, is close to or after midnight because no one is there. Additionally, no thefts to note, that I've heard of when I do go during the day. I've seen valuables left untouched. That's nice.

Let me preface this by saying this is not a reflection of the club in Azle specifically, however, they did not do anything to help remedy this situation for me. To save face, the business should have jumped in between corporate and me, and taken care of the situation before any of the following ensued.

I rarely leave negative reviews like I’m about to leave. However, my experience with time fitness has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.

I hadn’t gone to the club at all in 2024, as I’ve joined a different establishment. I finally got around to trying to cancel my membership sometime around June. Keep in mind that my obligation was contractually fulfilled.

Reaching this establishment to try to cancel or get information is almost impossible as they make it extremely difficult to get a human on the line that allows you any other options than to pay your bill or hear an account summary. That’s the first red flag of how dishonest disorganization is.

The only way to cancel is to send an email to an inbox that says they will get back to you in 5 to 10 business days. Because of that delay, my account was billed again for another month, which I paid. However, upon finally receiving a response after three emails to this inbox, two weeks had basically gone by and they also then requested another months payment for me.

In the interim, I had canceled that credit card and, unbeknownst to me, late fees continued to mount on my account. It’s not only did they receive eight months worth of payments from me when I hadn’t even gone to the club this entire year, then they wanted an extra month’s payment as well as late fees. This company is an absolute scam and I warn anybody to, please not do any business with them. You will regret it when the time comes to cancel your membership.

After paying their ridiculous demands, which feels like blackmail because they threaten to go to collections if you don’t pay instead of just canceling the membership because it was contractually fulfilled already, two days later I received yet another email saying that I still owed them over $100. Finally on about my tenth call back to these crooks, I was finally told that my account was settled and that it was closed.

What a horrible experience. In all, I lost a few hundred bucks to these unethical heaps of garbage that call themselves a business. This is the kind of stuff that should involve a class action lawsuit. They’re lucky my time is more valuable than to deal with that litigation.

However, I hope that this review will sway others from doing business with this organization and saving yourself the headache that I went through.

If Josh Davidson and anyone in agreement with his horrible conduct as an Anytime Fitness employee still works here, then this Anytime Fitness gym in Azle is a disgrace to the entire Anytime Fitness brand and every last one of its paying members. If employees here, such as Mr. Davidson, think they can weaponize local police to harass paying gym members and make them leave the gym when said members have been doing nothing but minding their own business, and on top of it the local police advise paying gym members to avoid returning to this gym, then I don't know why Azle even has an Anytime Fitness gym. I dig it here. Pretty mellow vibe. Wish they had more equipment. Basically one machine for every body part. They have a training area to the left side, they need to add more equipment over there and move the "training" else where. If you can improvise, it's a decent place for the price.

There are a few key machines I wish they had but hey, it's local and it will work!

When I signed up for the membership I was told I could cancel at anytime. (I specifically asked otherwise I would not of signed up) now as I’m trying to cancel they are telling me the only reason I can cancel is a medical reason or I have to pay a $250 buyout fee. None of this was disclosed to me when I asked about canceling anytime. You can’t even cancel the membership in the gym you have to call/email a 3rd party billing company.

Friendly staff and clean gym. The reason it’s a 3 star is because they put you in a contract that you have to pay $28 biweekly (at least for me). After paying for 18 months, I had to call some finance place to finally have it cancelled (5 months after my contract). AND they still had to charge me 2 more times! Trust me, for almost $60 a month I’m pretty sure you could get a lot more in a gym (sauna, bball gym, mini protein store, etc). Overall not a bad place to be a gym member, just if they would lower the monthly (biweekly) payments and perhaps not put us on a contract.

The customer service at this facility is terrible. I have talked to two different people trying to cancel my membership, they have directed me to a different phone number stating they can’t cancel the membership in-house. The information they gave me is all false in the financial institution that they have directed me to has no record of me. Conveniently, they still have been charging my credit card. Both the people in the facility don’t know how to stop it, and the number they gave me say I don’t exist. That’s interesting because somebody is still charging me.

Nice gym and trainers are terrific, but when I signed up, it was for 12 months, knowing that I was moving away after about 6 months. Nice club with typical exercise equipment. Travis is awesome. Way overpriced for club and group training. $40 a month plus tax and initiation fee. No pools, lockers, not enough room when crowded or team training going on. Another $99 plus for team training and must sign a contract. Everyone charged $25 in April for club improvements but they don't always benefit ALL gym members.

Bottom Line Up Front: AF Azle is a great place to get your workouts in.

Most gyms give you about 75-80% of the equipment that you need to get a quality workout. This location had everything you need to get after your goals; great cardio equipment, a multipurpose room, outstanding free weights and cables, and a superb functional fitness area, with a complete power rack system.

I have been a member for year now. Always clean. Staff is super friendly. All equipment is working 99.99 percent of the time. Restrooms are always clean. I lost my job & ins. A yr ago & put my membership on hold. When I got another job with insurance it was around the same time my membership reactivated so I was charged for January. I quickly tried to go thru my ins again to make it cheaper but ins couldn't set me up since I was already a member & told me once they cancel my membership then the ins co can get me going with their health program at that gym. So I went in & Trey had me fill out a form cancelling my membership & I waited 4 an email confirmation of cancellation so that I could call my ins co right away. Jake was also aware of what needed 2 happen. I was charged again for February. I went back dn there & Trey had me fill out ANOTHER cancellation form. Then when I still don't get an email confirming I threaten 2 call NBC investigates & Trey calls telling me he needs the number the ins co gives you when you sign up. I'm furious!! AGAIN I tell him I have to be cancelled out b4 they can give me a number & he tells me Jake wants 2 make sure I'm going 2 sign up again with them. Now I tried to do this the right way but you don't hold people HOSTAGE!! So I have contacted NBC investigates to help me since they want 2 be ugly about everything. I should also be refunded February since I requested my cancellation in January.

Jake you had a month to cancel and you chose to charge me again instead of cancelling and letting me get this done as my insurance company requested. The resolution would be to cancel as requested in January and refund my February which should not have been charged. Since you refuse to do this I will let NBC Investigates talk to you. Or, if my cancellation is done today and February refunded today I will not have NBC Investigates involved. Also, I told you and Trey I can't get a new number until THEY set me up. This is still BCBS but not the same acct. SO THERE IS NO NUMBER UNTIL THEY CAN SET ME UP AGAIN!

When people talk over you and assume they know what happened and you can't get a word in...you tend to get very agitated.

I never cursed at you or said vile things. I only tried to be heard but instead of listening you chose to talk at the same time. Yes, that agitates people. Visiting for the weekend from out of town, and met up with Trey. He was extremely welcoming. Introduced us to the facility, and made us feel like we were at our home club. The machines are very new. There’s a good variety and quantity of cardio!equipment. And a ton of space.

Gym is great. Clean with nice staff. However, I moved to Oklahoma knowing my membership was due to expire at the end of January. I called Trey and let him know and that I wished to discontinue my membership. I sent a certified letter to that effect to ABC Financial (in my contract). I received confirmation on February 17. I continued to be charges on my credit card. I called Trey again. He backed out the charge for April and then started charging again in May. He said I needed to come in and fill out paperwork. I again told him that was not possible due to my move and asked him to either mail it or email it. I never received paperwork. Now I have a collections company calling me.

**Update: I was called by Jake and will be refunded extra months charged and membership was cancelled. Will be taken out of collections. Thanks for making this right!

I absolutely love this gym and have been a loyal member since it opened up. I have little to no complaints about the gym or the owners. They're always responsive and very friendly. It's what I like about this gym the most, but for some reason I'm having the hardest time just canceling my father's gym membership.
