It's been 2 years of membership and let me tell you be aware that cancelling your membership is a pain! You have to call, wait, send an email, wait again, 30 days notice and what not. It's crazy how they manage to delay and make it difficult. You can get better, cheaper and more transparent service in another gym.

Update 4/9/2025:
First I went to the club, and they told me I can not cancel the membership beeing there in person. What other personal verification do you need? I was carrying ID.

In response to the owner: I sent the cancelation email that same moment I was on the call. Sharing personal confidential information (from a phone call) here it's not correct.

The following day, I was charged for a "enhancement fee" for $43.30; different from the monthly fee.
I'm still sending emails to know what that fee is for.

7-31 UPDATE
The owner has finally reached out and refused to cancel my membership even though it has been communicated clearly that the employee miss informed us on policies that we could not see as she did not have paperwork for us to read. Now due to their under trained employee Leigha we are locked into a 2 year contract that we have only used 3 days. We will not return and they even fired Leigha after we signed up and shared what she told us. But we are now being held financially accountable for the employees faulty actions. The requirements to cancel are invasive as well as they want to speak to your doctor to confirm you cannot work out or provide evidence you live further then 10 miles which we did as we are over half an hour away and they still have not cancelled our account nor have they frozen is after we have asked dozens of times. ive spent over 12 hours handling this now and have not gotten anywhere. This is a truly awful location/company with a greedy owner who only cares about the money shes getting from the clients. not the poor experience shes giving. Lots of fake reviews and we have driven by quite often and see its almost always empty yet when we went it was always a mess with wipes on the floor, bottles strewn about and equipment that was missing parts.

After a month there’s an update at the bottom

I started a membership here and was told my Partner could come with me whenever i worked out at no charge. i was also told they would need a membership by other staff so i requested to start her a membership and was told i do not need one. we proceeded to start a membership for me and i tried to set up direct payments to avoid the extra 100 or so in fees they wanted to charge. Their system was having issues and Leigha could not figure out a way around it. so i ended up having to pay the extra 100 plus another 50 in start up fees. Which i was hoping to avoid. after going to the gym 3 times all at night we noticed their was constant litter / wipes left on the ground and by the 4th day we went their was a sign. the sign said you are trespassing if you do not have a member ship and they will press charges. i clarified with staff and this meant i could not bring my partner to the gym she needed her own membership now. after being told multiple things on the different rules/ policies and now seeing how small the gym was we decided to move to another gym. I cancelled over 2 weeks ago and i am still getting charges. They even texted me to say they were sad to see me go. But they sure dont mind taking my money.
for reference i have gone to anytime fitness gyms located across the country and none have told me i couldnt bring a partner and they were all at least twice as large as this location with newer equipment and they cost less at the time of my memberships. hands down WORST anytime fitness location.
i have now paid close to 200 dollars for 4 days at the gym. i am also used to a 4 or 7 day free pass to try out anytime locations as ive experienced in the past. not here.

Now I’ve spoken to the manager Kim who said she would get ahold of the owners and clear things up. I emailed in and I’ve called and texted that I want to cancel. Now they texted me today trying to collect payments that I filed chargebacks on. They even mentioned I could be responsible for late fees. Late fees for a membership that was supposed to be cancelled. This is after already saying they were sad to see me go. I’d love for the owners to reach out but they’re too busy to care about their customers it seems.

Kim is an excellent Manager for Anytime Fitness. She not only runs the office but is there to help you in any way she can. She will help you as much as she can. She's Awesome!! If there was a 10 star rating I'd give her a 10 stars. She really is the sweetest.! If you have questions she comes out to help you with gym equipment and answer your questions, she helps you in a friendly way where you feel informed and comfortable not like It's inconvenient for her. She loves to help everyone. The very first time I went there I felt very welcomed by all the staff. It makes a big difference. At least with me it does. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

ATFBC is a great gym.
I work out every day when I can for at least an hour. There is is a nice selection of free weights and machine weights for me to work out on.

Lots of treadmills and elliptical machines.

I use their tanning bed at least 2 to 3 times a week to get my vitamin D3.

I would miss the tanning bed if that service was not continued.

The management and staff are excellent.

I have not met the new owners but hope to.

The facility is well maintained, very clean and all the weight plates are stacked and racked.

The selection of music is not always to my liking. To much rap. I would prefer a better mix across all genres.

Any Time Fitness is a better part of my day.

A great place to focus your all your goals and needs. They offer free classes, tanning sessions, personal training, supplements and a stocked cooler for a small fee of refreshments. I love this gym!!! I couldn't be anymore excited that I started here and had the help I needed when I walked threw the doors!! Used to love going to this gym but after moving off to school and coming back it just doesn’t seem as clean and well kept as it used to. There were no wipes to be used only large towels with spray bottles that I don’t believe other members were utilizing. The overall atmosphere in this place has changed which is sad because it really is a nice facility.

I honestly have no complaints about the equipment or it's members. No one bothers you at all here. I only recommend that the place gets a bit of a make over... Paints starting to chip off and the lighting looks faded in my opinion and there's even an entire birds nest on the sign which I thought was hilarious btw. Maybe add more green or something to make it look healthier. IDK just a friendly civilized suggestion. I'm fortunate that there even is an anytime fitness out here. I have been a member of AF since the fall of 2021 and I enjoy going to the AF Bay City, the location is kept in tip top shape by Kim the Manager, she constantly cleans the floors, the machines, the free weights, she makes sure that the sanitizing towels are always stocked. She is super friendly and attentive. I enjoy the fact that I know that the equipment is always in great shape and clean. Please visit this location if you are looking for a home gym.

For me Anytime Fitness is by far the best gym I’ve gone too. Although it is small I do love the atmosphere there. The gym is always clean, cool and the equipment is really good. The manager and fitness trainer Marilyn is cool and very welcoming. I’d recommend this gym to anybody. My fitness journey started in this gym and I have been a loyal member for over 5 years. It was the place to go for improvment, challenges, and through hardships. Throughout the years of lifting here I was proud to call it my gym, my happy place.
I was always active in the community and even found people to become members. I cleaned up after others, cleaned my equipment, and participated in various of the challenges that would be posted.
Unfortunately, after a false accusation, I was banned. I was never given a warning by either email or call. I wasn't given the opportunity to explain or prove my innocence, and another gym member was also banned from this incident. I called the general manager to try and explain the situation. He told me “you just do you man, just don’t come back" and hung up. It’s really sad to be forced to say goodbye after all these years of loyalty and commitment.

Walked in curious as to the condition of your facilities and equipment with full intentions to utilize a 3 year membership and after walking around for a bit was not impressed. I noticed insect and what looked like mouse droppings against the walls and some equipment hadn't been wiped down in quite a while (sweat and skin cells promote bacteria growth). Well, after been part of anytime Fitness for more than 1.5 years...I just cancelled my subscription. I like this gym because I can found one of them where ever a go for work (I travel a lot) and never had a problem. But this location in particular it's the one in my hometown. And everytime I go to the gym, I rearrange the weights because people its messi and leave everything everywhere...and the girl taking care of the gym it's kind of skinny and didn't want her to get hurt...some times I even try to fix or tight the loose bolts in the machines. But yesterday I was talking to my mother on the phone because a family member passed two days a go and I want to comfort my mother. And this young lady came to me and told me I was talking to loud and I was discomforting the other costumers (3 lady's ) which I never saw them go talk to her to complain. But I bet it wasn't the volume of my voice talking but the fact I was talking in Spanish with my mother...so I just canceled my subscription and joing the competition.

We have visited hundreds of Anytime Fitness locations in our travels. Since we don’t have a schedule in our retirement RV travels we usually try to visit in off hours so as not to get in the way of others who don’t have the luxury of no schedule. This location rates at the top. Nice sitting area for pre or post workout drink, three non gender specific bathrooms, two with showers, welcoming atmosphere and well cared for and looked after location.

This recreation center reminds me of a more well refined YMCA from the days of my youth. When I walked in I was greeted with the old familiar smell of gym socks and pretty ladies. Since Beth passed away I've been looking for a new spot to meet the ladies, after the pastor told me it was inappropriate to flirt with the widows in my Sunday School class. I think I found my spot ;) The monthly fee cuts into my retirement account more than I like, but the tanning bed makes me look and feel 10 years younger! All they need is a Square-Dance class and I'd be in heaven. Minus 2 stars for playing Justin Beaver on the radio.
