Anytime Fitness has proved itself the perfect place for me. It is local and convenient any time Hence the name Anytime Fitness. it is a bit small but have never had an issue with using the equipment I have also gone to other locations around the country when I travel. The key fob works at any l location
Luke the manager and Karlee are really nice and friendly and very knowledgable people when it involves exercise and working.out ,
Karlee my trainer for one day a week will also give me training tips even when its not one of my training days. And she also creates a training plan for non training days And Karlee was voted best Trainer in Hays county Texas this year too

This gym is great! I'm greeted every time I go by either Karlee or Luke. The facilities are clean and everything looks great, especially so after the renovations! Do not go to this gym.
I can cope with the fact that it’s a bit small and thus crowded with equipment. I can also cope with the fact that some of the equipment is out of order or outdated. However, what I cannot look past is how dirty and neglected it is.
They have been doing “renovations” lately and that has resulted in them uninstalling the sanitary wipe dispensers. They also turned off all the ceiling fans during some renovations. I noticed all the ceiling fans have very obviously not been cleaned in at least a year or even two. The ceiling fans were very obviously and absolutely CAKED in dust and grime and dirt. I thought it was gross but the worst was yet to come.
Back to the sanitary wipe situation, they left bags full of sanitary wipes around the gym while the dispensers were still uninstalled. I had no issue with them being temporarily uninstalled for renovations and I had no issue with them being scattered around the gym in bags.
I went to do my workout and after my warm up, I searched the entire gym for the bags of sanitary wipes. Eventually, I went to an employee and she told me they’re completely out of sanitary wipes and “that’s why we left spray bottles and paper towels everywhere”. I told her I’m sorry but that I haven’t seen any of that. She then proceeds to lead me throughout the entire gym. We found one single spray bottle and it was broken and unusable. She then said she needs to talk to the manager. The manager simply says “we have Clorox wipes in the closet.”
This whole situation, in my opinion, is ridiculous and downright dangerous. The employees were completely unaware that there was absolutely Nothing available for gym goers to use to clean up after themselves with. God only knows how many people came before me and didn’t clean up after themselves, not out of negligence, but because there was nothing for them to use! It’s disgusting! This left a very foul taste in my mouth because how on earth did the employees not notice something like this until it was pointed out to them? I don’t want to sit in other people’s sweat!
I have been to many anytime fitnesses. I have been a member for about ten years. This is by far and without a doubt the worst location I have EVER been to. Do not go here. Take extra time to drive to a location that is better maintained. I don’t often leave reviews and I truly tried to love this gym as it’s the closest location to me since moving to this area 3 months ago, but it’s simply too gross. Other locations have working, up to date machines and more space. Other locations are actually cleaned and well maintained. I will gladly drive twice as far for a gym that is actually taken care of.

I'm honestly really disappointed with my experience at Anytime Fitness Buda, especially how they handled my personal training charges.

Back in September 2024, I let the manager, Jessica Cusimano, know (via text) that I needed to cancel my training sessions because I WAS IN INDIA AND MY DAD DIED. She acknowledged my message and told me her boss would cancel the account. I trusted that.

But I kept getting charged. In October, I followed up and Jessica confirmed the mistake. She said I could either get a refund or use the sessions later.

Fast forward: I was charged for 21 sessions ($554.40), but I only got 4 sessions total. And now they're telling me the rest of the sessions "expired" and I can't get my money back. Even though I have written proof of everything. This is just wrong.

I've provided screenshots of our text conversation and copies of my credit card charges, and still--nothing has been done.

If you're thinking about doing personal training at this gym, please be careful. Check your charges and get everything in writing. I expected better from a place that claims to care about its members.

Good Gym to go & get your workout in!
There is typically a location within 20 minutes of every job site. I travel to across Texas for my work.
For around $40 a month you get a key fob and you can work out 24/7 at any of the Anytime Fitness locations anywhere at any time at your convenience!

After attempting multiple times to reach the manager and have my membership cancelled, all I got was excuses as to how he couldn't do it for varying reasons each time I tried. That was when I could reach him. In the mean time the facility continued to charge me fees, which I have not gotten back. I had to contact my bank just to get them to stop charging me fees because they stone walled me. They continued to generate a bill even after that and threatened to send me to collections and never once attempted to close my account. Online requests got 0 responses. I am filing a complaint with the FTC for dishonest business practices. Considering there are others that have had the exact same experience, I will also be determining if there may be grounds for more of a class action type complaint. If you have had a similar experience with this facility, please reach out to me, as I will be reaching out to others who have had a similar experience.

Very pricy and very hard to cancel. Can’t get ahold of anyone when you call them. Doors were locked when I tried to go in on open hours and when I got ahold of the manager they told me they open an hour after the posted office hours (not on a holiday) just not a good experience I would recommend other gyms especially for how much you will be spending here.

My trainer Jessica has been so on point with my workouts. She’s all about form and movement, making sure I’ve got it down before we really turn up the intensity. In just 3-4 weeks of training, I’ve gone heavier in my upper body than EVER (and trust, I was a total beginner!). Without her accountability, form coaching, and next-level encouragement, I wouldn’t be making these gains on my own.

This is establishment is a complete scam. My wife started a membership and attempted 4 times to cancel her membership. Somehow we get charged for one membership twice monthly and after 3+ months, we are still getting charged. Could not be more frustrated with how their team handled it, as they continually say there is nothing they can do about it and to contact corporate. Well “corporate” doesn’t respond either. Looking to take next steps with fraudulent charges and consumer protection bureau.

I had initially made contact over the phone w/ the Kyle location, I was advised I’d have to make it in be 7pm to begin my 7 day pass. After driving by the Kyle location, I realized that parking could be difficult. I managed to finally make it out to the Buda location to only be advised by a gentleman named Marco that I would have to come during business hours for the 7 day pass. When I explained I was quoted something different, he stated that’s not the case at the Buda location. I advised him that I work in North Austin, and didn’t see how that would work. Perhaps I may have changed my mind on obtaining membership had customer service gone differently. Maybe attempt a little upselling, he could have offered to show me the facility since I was already here.

Firstly - The machines and equipment here are all rusted and feel like they're about to break. The machines are also too close to each other so half the time you're bumping into other people while working out. So my gym experience as a whole hasn't been well.

Also they told us before we signed up that they have employees in their gym every weekday from 8am-5:30. I work from home and workout at 9-10am everyday and have never seen an employee unless they were giving someone a tour.

Lastly. Cancelling here has been a nightmare. As mentioned before, they have almost never have any employees in the gym, so cancelling in person isn't an option. We called a collective 16 times over 2 weeks on all weekdays and left voicemails each and everytime and never received a call back. We also never received a text back. Also after 22 emails after 3 full weeks we never received an email back. We finally just had our bank block the charges and they finally texted us back.

Moral of the story - The gym is a scam. I recommend the gym down the street at the Buda fieldhouse it is CHEAPER CLEANER and BIGGER

Not sure what everyone else is talking about. This place is great! This gym has just about all the equipment you need for a good workout. What sells it too is the hours. They are open 24 hours a day. Seven days a week. They truly are Anytime fitness. Some people just love to complain about the minutiae and cannot appreciate the convince of location and hours. Plus it is right next to an HEB. I've been to other Anytime fitness and this is one of the better ones. The machines are in working order and there are plenty of them. The space is a bit cramped but that is to be expected from anytime fitness. I can see how a large influx of people could make this place not so good. But I go to the gym at odd hours so it works to my advantage. Great work!

Update - there have been changes for the better made here. New management has corrected many of the issues. Also the obnoxious individual has not been seen in some time. I assume management handled this. I only do cardio here early in the morning but can see positive changes for the betterment of the members.

5 years ago I gave this gym 5 stars, it was great. However in the past 2 years it has become an abomination. Especially in the early morning, 4am - 6am timeframe. Rules are not enforced allowing people to feel entitled and not have gym etiquette. Not wiping down equipment, playing their music withOUT headphones(not sure how many f bombs I heard this morning), working out without a shirt, not racking their weights, throwing equipment around....the list could go on. This placed needs to be staffed in the early morning for a period of time. I go to other Anytime Fitness locations when I travel and they are great. Nice inside temperature. Plenty of signage stating the rules and expectations. Members working out and having respect for each other.

It is a great location for me, but I will be looking for a new gym sadly now after over 5 years.

Facilities are nice and have a lot of good equipment. However it is almost impossible to reach anyone during the week. I've been trying to cancel my membership for several months and no one will return a phone call or respond to an email. It's very frustrating.

Dropping down to 1 star. I have still not received any contact. I don't live in the city any more, yet I have made 3 separate in person attempts during staffed hours to cancel my contract and no one is ever there. I'm going through my bank to stop transactions, this is ridiculous.

So sad I’m locked into contract with anytime. I’ve tried to ask nicely to the gym manager, I’ve tried calling no one answers and this place is FILTHY. Ive told them several times in person please send someone to clean. The sad part is, this isn’t the nastiest bathroom, just the only ones I could stomach being in. They charge you 2-3 times a month and add there maintenance fee twice a year which goes straight to their pocket and OBVIOUSLY not to the gym.
I used to love this gym when Aaron was the manager, it used to be spotless and there was always someone there. Good luck trying to get in touch with anyone here.

I have been coming here to the Buda location for a year now and it is always clean and very rarely crowded. I have been able to complete my full workout every time without having to wait for a machine. I have had memberships to all kinds of gyms and Anytime Fitness is hands down the best one of all the gyms I have experienced. In addition, AF allows me to use any facility in any location which is great when I have to travel. I can always find one wherever I am going. Yes, canceling a membership can be a hassle as you have to do it in WRITING but it is doable as I had to cancel once for my son. But the staff was very helpful in navigating the process.

My 2nd review, now that I waited out my contract and attempted to cancel the automatic renewal. I sent the certified letter that my contract states I need to send in order to cancel membership. They received letter but did not cancel membership and signed me up for another year. I've called NUMEROUS times. Nobody ever answers phone or returns phone calls. My emails go unanswered as well. I went by during "open hours" and nobody's there. My Credit Union was more than willing to stop ACH payments and I'm really tempted to sue. Very sketchy practices.

I don't enjoy writing this review. But I also don't care for businesses that are indifferent to their clients. I'll be honest, I should have read my contract, instead of taking what I was being told, when signing up. 1st off, the $1 sign-up fee that was being advertised, was actually the full 14 day fee PLUS $1. I signed up on Jan 30th. Therefore I paid $25 for 2 days of access to the gym. Then I was charged every 14 days immediately after. The gym fee of $24.00 is not twice a month. It's technically every 14 days. Turns out, every member I've spoken to, was under the same impression I was. This means on multiple times, you will be charged 3 times in 1 month. You will also be charged an "Enhancement Fee" twice a year of almost $38. My year contract is almost up and I will have actually paid a little less than $60 a month for a tiny gym with outdated equipment. Incomplete dumbbell sets. And an a/c that doesn't work. Always over 80+ degrees, even though the a/c is set at 70. I'm not the only person that takes issue with this gym. Before deciding to join another gym, I spoke with multiple other members, to get their input. This last part includes a different Anytime Fitness location. My GF was supposed to receive a free month for referring me to the gym. She was advised by her location that they didn't want to honor the free month because I didn't join their location. Her location is in Georgetown and I live in Kyle. Who would pass up numerous Anytime Fitness locations to drive an hour away and join that gym. I understand this is a business and they need to make a profit. However, it's seriously ONLY about getting your money. Hence the contract. They're more than willing to keep taking your money, even after you've decided you don't want to utilize they're services any longer. I joined another gym with all the new, latest equipment for only an additional $15 a month (Yearly gym fee included). So unfortunately, I'll be paying for 2 gyms for a few months. On another note, the AF in Taylor is very nice and has updated equipment. They even label the brand new equipment to let you know that it was purchased with your Enhancement Fee.

The gym itself isn’t too bad, but the staff are unresponsive and unhelpful. I have been trying for a year plus now to cancel my membership. I have gone in person (and spoke to a staff member who said it would be cancelled) and called many times but my membership continues to be renewed and I get charged. I have never received a single call back. Someone finally cancelled my membership last month, but now they want to charge me again. I spoke to them just a few minutes ago, and they say my membership wasn’t cancelled until last month, so I still owe them for this month. Despite it taking more than a year to actually get this membership cancelled and the absolutely terrible customer service so far, they are completely unwilling to just let me cancel and want to steal yet more money from me. Don’t risk this place unless you plan to never cancel your membership.

I’ve been going to this specific gym for about 6 months now and it’s not the best but it’s got pretty much everything you need my only 2 complaints is that people keep taking the attachments to the machines and they keep it to cold in there. I don’t feel like I’m getting anything out of my workout if I’m not sweating but I could easily put a jacket on.

Side Note - telling your customer's "this is spelled out in your contract" is a narrow minded corporate attitude toward your customers. You and I know during the excitement of a purchase customers are trusting the sales person to tell them about important items. But like most gyms you put selling memberships before the good of your customers. So in that aspect your comment shows you could care less.

The gym is small, crowded and NEVER clean. The bathrooms are downright gross. I showered there once. Only once. For work I travel all over the state and have used dozens of Anytime Fitness gyms. It just so happens that my home gym was by far the worst one I have ever been to. I cancelled my membership the second I had an alternative gym nearby to use. I had cancelled my wife's membership in person at the gym and the person working never processed the paperwork. I continued to get billed for 6 months until I noticed. The manager working said "there was nothing he could do". I have cancelled my membership this time through their billing company directly. Hopefully it actually goes through this time.

Fair amount of the equipment has random bolts holding the weights on instead of the proper pieces. They aren't doing anything to enforce the state mandated masks for COVID, regardless of if the location is currently staffed or not.

Paul, the manager, is remarkable. He will take the time to listen to your hopes, wants and needs as a new gym member. Then he will give you a lengthy walkthrough of the gym while simultaneously getting to know you to develop a personal relationship not only as a client, but as a friend. Paul is well connected with the members here and makes you feel like this is a home gym. I recommend this gym 10/10

Gym is incredibly cramped. Squat racks are exceptionally loud/noisy and have no accessories on them or pegs. The music frequently skips or stops for several minutes, which is actually a good thing because otherwise the worst selection of gym music I've ever heard is on a played. All equipment is functional and in good shape. Gym is almost always an acceptable temperature.

Haven’t stepped foot in this gym for 8 months thinking my contract was square and cancelled and I just got hit with a bill from collections. If you look at other reviews they always do this. Do not go here. It’s ridiculous I have to deal with this.

Small gym that has everything you need without a crowd. I Love that I can go to this gym any time of the day since it runs 24/7, and the staff is always happy to help whenever you don't know how to properly perform an exercise.

Not gonna lie. I joined this gym in November 2016 or so, and only cancelled my membership this month (August 2018). I didn’t go even one single time. It’s a damn shame- I know.
BUT. the number of times that I was emailed/reached out to, encouraging me to get into the gym and get the equipment orientation- they didn’t have to do that. They could’ve just kept making money off my membership and never bothered dealing with me, but they made a genuine effort to get my worthless self in there. Didn’t work, but that’s not on them.

I like the space and equipment, though the stepping blocks and other similar products are old, broken and unsafe. However, management is not helpful in any way. When I signed up, I was told that I could cancel anytime. A few months later, I tried contacting the gym multiple times about canceling my membership with no response. I finally got a hold of them to learn that I was NOT allowed to cancel my membership, even though I checked when I signed up that I could. My respect for Anytime Fitness and this location is completely gone.

Visited after hours. There were plenty of cardio options like treadmills, step masters and ellipticals. They also have free weights, machines and a number of other things like jump ropes, perfect push-ups, belts and stability balls. It was relatively uncrowded when I was there at 10 pm as well. Which is a plus at the start of the new year.

The best Anytime I've been to so far. The gym has nice equipment and space, is always clean, and is rarely crowded. I shy away from big gyms, so this is a perfect spot for me to get a workout in and not worry about dozens of people around me.
There are few small 24-hour gyms in the South Austin area, so I take a 10-minute drive to it, which isn't bad. I like getting out of the city and taking in some open Hill Country views.

great location, good selection of working equipment, very clean throughout, both shower heads are absolutely horrible (ten dollar fix, not sure what the deal is with that, maybe they don't know about it), I haven't talked to the staff but they appear very happy very friendly. I noticed they have personal trainers there with clients very often so I assume they must be very good at helping people reach their goals. Overall killer AF location.

I absolutely LOVE Anytime Fitness Buda! The staff is genuine and super nice. I actually really like the fact that it is private members only, they don't allow guests or have any free passes or anything like that. I don't have to worry about it ever being too crowded. Every time I go in for my workout there is always a treadmill or elliptical machine available and I never have to wait! It is the gym to go to in town. The manager (Urvano) makes you feel comfortable and at home. Highly recommend this fun, friendly, non-crowded environment to get your sweat on!

I went to an Anytime Fitness near Austin once, and they allowed me to come in as a guest for 10 bucks. The Buda and Kyle locations don't allow it. It's unfortunate, because I had such a nice experience at the one facility. I guess they don't care to get new business.
