It's unfortunate that the owner does not keep up with the cleaning and I have complained several times on the temperature of the gym. Last night the temperature was 57 degrees and that was after I begged the employee to put on the heat on during the daytime. This was a great gym two years ago but has gone down hill quickly. The manager has never answered my calls nor fixed the freezing temperature. I hope to find a nearby gym in a better condition.

The gym itself is decent with a fair selection of equipment. It's some of the gym goers that ruined it for me. Everyone knows who I'm talking about, it's the only guy that wears a weight vest there every evening. He shows up during peak hours and basically does a circuit of loading up every barbell and machine and then doesn't put anything up when he's done. He's extremely rude and will try to bully you off whatever you're using. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

As opposed to 24-hour fitness, “Anytime” Fitness is a key-fob entry month-to-month ($55) or annual contract ($45 per month) gym membership that was not what I was looking for when my daughter and I were in hopes of joining a gym. And, it was apparent right away- so. To their credit, it was kind of their staff member to entertain our questions (“Do you offer yoga classes?”-)-as if. This is a 24 hour testosterone trial of big pecs big egos big everything I’ve come to hate about going to the gym. It was kind of the employee to offer that at 3 am it is a much different environment than when we visited, at 5pm. Dude, we don’t want to be there at all, much less in the middle of the night. It’s one room and some cubbies for your bag (“We don’t have a dressing room but you can change in the bathroom…”) I wanted to tell him that we would be “changing” somewhere else, but I just thanked him and walked out as mysteriously as we had arrived, treating myself to a free cookie from the ridiculously conveniently located Tiff’s Treats next door.

This gym seems to be fairly new. Unlike other Anytime Fitness locations, there is seems to always be someone in the gym. They have a lot of equipment. Some items that I haven't seen other big gyms have, like kettlebells, sandbags, battle ropes, slam balls, sockets for landmines, etc. The gym is well-maintained and clean. There are two showers each with adjoining toilets, and a separate restroom with just a toilet. If you need a place to workout, no classes, just you, then this is a good one.

Great gym, if small. Clean shower facility, my only issue is that some of the other guests are a bit rude. Was in the shower room for like 7-8 minutes and another guest knocked, then banged, then must have like kicked the door or something. I responded "occupied" each time but I guess her need was greater than mine.

Poor business model!

I’ve had a membership for about 10 years. When one location recently closed, I started going to this one every other day, while going to a different business on the other days. They all of a sudden cancelled my account because I wasn’t registered with them. Anytime sells memberships with the benefit of using other locations. I went to another Anytime location after this and they were willing to work with me and re-instate my account but the damage is done. Now they get $0/ month from me.

It's an Anytime Fitness so with that in mind and knowing this isn't your luxury gym, this gym is quite good. Got the equipment I need, average space for an Anytime Fitness. Atmosphere can be a little brow'y but weights are typically reracked and equipment sanitized. Could a few more trashcans, sanitizing stations and little brush up. I've seen better Anytime Fitness and I've definitely seen worse. This has what I need to get a good workout in, which is why we are all there.

My family and I were on vacation for a few days and didn’t want to miss a workout, but no gym does a 3 day pass. Hans at Anytime fitness was incredibly helpful. The gym was clean and had all the equipment you could ask for! Anytime we come to Conroe, we will definitely be back.

Genuinely nice owners. They do their best to work with people on prices, keep the place very clean, and at night its quite empty for those of us who like to get a little rough with our workouts :)
Absolutely recommend this gym and considering prices, the equipment, and how hospitable the owners/manager are I'd say easily in my top 2 for the Conroe/Woodlands area overall!
