Maintenance of machines is dismal or non-existent. Several aerobic machines have been down for a long while. Doesn’t seem like they care.I’ve been going to gyms for decades, and this is the worst maintained ever… by a long shot. Seems like the owners or managers are misers. Go elsewhere.

If I could rate lower I would, I cancelled my membership on 1/5/25 through an email listed on the anytime fitness website and even called to no answer, I had no active agreement or yearly contract, they continued to charge me for use of the facility. I noticed later that they were still charging me, so I charged it back they are now trying to send me to collections, avoid this place like the plague the owner is incompetent and is trying to save any money they can on this failing business, the gym itself has outdated or broken equipment is small and the bathrooms smell like urine. If you're looking for a gym in Granbury, TX avoid the anytime fitness.

This is one of the nicest Anytimes I have been to. The manager Jaelyn is so sweet and always keeps the gym tidy and the sweat towels are always stocked(which a lot of gyms don’t have).This is a good gym if you’re looking for 24 hours.

The Best Anytime Fitness Gym Ive ever used!
Visiting my brother and his family in Grandbury TX. I expected some watered down version of the big city AF’s I’ve used. My assumption was emphatically incorrect. This AF is the best I’ve ever used:
Amazing spatial design
The best assortment of equipment!
Cleanest bathrooms and facility ever
Towels in the shower rooms
Hand towels for working out
No dust on the equipment or in between cardio equipment or weights.
Dumbbells in 2.5 pound increments up to 25lbs.
This is a small building and they have more than most large AF facilities.

Corporate should take note and make their other franchisees keep the same standards.

This business doesn’t deserve to exist. The owner is unsympathetic lacks any responsibility, will send you to collections the moment she screws up, and the manager is just as bad to deal with. Since my wife signed up, we’ve had nothing but issues, headaches, and a credit hit. Very, very poor quality ownership and it shows in every way.

Worst place ever. Even getting a membership was a nightmare and canceling at the end of our contract was even worse. We chose the gym in spite of the rude, teenager that signed us up because it was close to our house. This young girl was never there in the 2 weeks we spent attempting to get a membership and returned our calls at odd hours. After FINALLY getting signed up equipment was always broken or not working. I even had the door malfunction and not be able to get out of the gym until someone used their key fob from the outside. We moved across the state and just sucked up and continued our autopay until the end of the contract. Mostly because they threaten a lawsuit if you need to cancel. We were told we had to email a handwritten request to cancel. So we did. Then called to confirm cancelation. Then paid the remaining balance in full and confirmed that as well. Now, 4 months later I received a collections notice in the mail showing I still owe over $100 to these vultures. No prior attempts at contact to notify us of an outstanding balance, that we had confirmed was $0. Just straight to collections. My contact I formation has remained the same other than address of residence. Be warned! Most of the great reviews are from friends of the manager.

Edit a week later to add: after contacting this gym, corporate, and the collections agency they are now claiming the account that had been paid jointly the ENTIRE contract was only paid for half the membership at the end. I allegedly owe the exact amount for my half of the contract as my husband owed exactly in past due charges. Weird since it was autocharged monthly as a joint account but then when we tried to pay it off suddenly it was separate. This place is a scam.

In April I went in 3 weeks before my payment was due to change my bank info because I changed banks. I called 2 times, and left messages because they dont answer the phone, to make sure the info was changed. My bank info was not changed and they tried to charge my old account. Sometime after that i noticed a charge to my account for $50. I called the number provided and got the automatic message about any charges to my account were yearly membership dues so i let it go. I just got my real membership dues and called the same number and found out that the charge back in April was a fee for non sufficient funds from the horrible business practices. I am getting a refund but the granbury location is extremely poorly run, run down, and has awful outdated equipment. Do not go there!!!!!!!

I recently reviewed this gym and I hastily stated my disappointment. One of the staff contacted me, apologized and stated it was a family run business and that their intentions were not to disappoint, just a crazy day for them. I've tried deleting 1st review. Update: They respond after cooperate was contacted.- I cancelled my membership, provided a 30day notice, paid the past due fees (I have one last payment to make, per Jaelyn and now Jessica is trying to tell me I owe more money than just the last payment.)

Luckily I recorded the conversation during cancellation, and have receipts to show what was all said and paid.

It's pretty pathetic at this point, I seriously don't understand why it's such a lengthy ordeal to cancel a membership. - I know times are rough, but that's not very good for business.

Owner does not return phone calls. There is never anyone in the office to answer phone calls. Double charged account when gym was closed for covid. Equipment is dated or broken. Cleaning is little to none at all. Cancelled membership still drafted a monthly bill afterwards and sent to collections. Would advise using Lift-a-bar, or one of the CrossFit gyms in town over this establishment.

I went to take a tour and discuss becoming a member. The young lady that gave me a tour was very polite and informative. However, after reading online that you get a 7 day free trial, she informed me they no longer do that. Also, they were lacking in equipment compared to other Anytime Fitness establishments I've been to. Did not join!

I went here for two years while I lived in Granbury and usually went late at night.

Compared to most gyms it was clean, even at the end of the day. Well equipped with most anything you'd want for lifting. Good free weight selection and not dependent on machines. The other members using the gym had good etiquette.

The owner was friendly and communicated well, both when signing up and when I needed to close my account down because I was moving.

I have been going for about 2 years now and go at least 5-6 times a week. Prior to a month ago the gym would have gotten two stars at best. Finally got fed up with how things were being ran so I made a complaint with corporate. Took about a day and I got a call from the owner. She explained to me that other members came to her with the same issues and that she was working to fix the issues, this was about 2 months ago. Since then she has put a new manager in that actually does her job and the gym has done a 180!
As long as the owner continues to have people like the current manager I won’t be going anywhere and would defiantly recommend this particular location.

I have visited severalAnytime Fitness gyms since rejoining after a 3 year absence. I found this gym to be clean, well kept and well equipped compared with others. Ashley was particularly helpful, allowing me to rejoin under their “Welcome Back Member” program.

The manager of Anytime Fitness is basically a crook. My wife and I canceled our membership due to medical reasons, which we provide not only to the manager, but also to corporate. Despite receiving notice and confirmation all of the medical reasons, the manager still sent our account in for collections. Even after having talked with a lawyer in charge of collections, who agrees with us, and spoken with the manager of this Anytime Fitness, we are still getting collection calls regarding this. If you need a gym, I would strongly recommend finding a YMCA, or Planet Fitness. Anytime Fitness is massively overpriced, has a ridiculously small gym, and, if they get the chance they will rob you blind.

Basic gym, limited equipment, not to crowded, did I say limited equipment, place is usually clean although I notice the bathrooms run out of soap and paper towels frequently..New staff not has personable has previous staff.

Update: 2 months have passed since the new manager took over, cassie, things have improved greatly. The gym is cleaner, the bathrooms now have soap and paper towels consistently, towels available now. Cassie appears to care about the gym, she will work with you to make sure your taken care of!
