I didn’t even get to use the gym in the time I had a membership. Any time I showed up, even during staffed hours, nobody was there. I tried to call the store number, the hr number, and nobody would answer no matter when I called or in the multitude of times I called. When I got in touch with the manager, she instantly started yelling and being rude even though I said I was a new costumer. Incredibly difficult to cancel even though I was in the 3 day trial period. I’m about to hire a lawyer for my son who has been trying to get his membership cancelled for a while now. He tried once his year membership was up which was never even used. No one was ever there, no one answered calls or called back. About 5-6 months ago, the lady told him it was being cancelled once he finally got her on the phone. Guess what?? The money is still coming out of his account twice a month and months later. He spoke to her again finally a couple days ago. If I see another charge on his account I will pursue things farther. This place is an absolute rip off and you steal money from college kids and from what I’ve read many other people too.

I do not recommend this gym. The general manager is hateful. I wanted to cancel my membership or change my credit card info. I emailed the owner shortly after, then received a phone call with the manger screaming at me on the phone about contacting the owner. Told me she didn’t appreciate me going behind her and emailing the owner. This is my first time ever at an Anytime fitness and have only been there two weeks. I wasnt allowed a trial pass, I didn’t get a tour, and wasn’t even asked if I actually wanted to be at this gym before being forced to sign a contract.

Won’t answer the phone both my wife and myself tried calling to get information on joining had to go to the next town over to join. This gym specifically was disgusting never any wipes or cleaning done I got staph from the unclean environment. Finally had enough and decided to cancel that in its self was a fight to do. The lady who “works” there if you can even call it that, shows up when she wants if at all got an attitude with my wife and when I saw she was there finally I went in because they don’t have a phone guess they can’t pay the bill, the employee threatened to call the police and had a major attitude with me. Lazy unprofessional gym owner and employee. Don’t make the mistake of joining this gym you’ll pay more for less equipment do yourself a favor and go to iron works cheaper more equipment cleaner and it’s actually staffed when it’s supposed to be.

I didn't even get a chance to walk through the doors to this gym. I have been looking for a facility that I can go to without signing a contract, and I called Anytime Fitness MULTIPLE times over the course of almost two weeks and never got anyone to answer or call me back. I finally filled out the "contact us" portion of their website and got a text back in about 15-20 minutes. I replied that I didn't really need a call-back, I just had one simple question. That text went ignored until the next day. By then, I had already signed up with another gym within the city due to the lack of employee availability for a potential new customer. If they can't be bothered to answer the phone or call a new customer back, it makes me wonder how difficult it is as a member to contact someone if I had an issue with something.

“We’d like to better understand what happened…” -it’s laid out in my review. That’s corporate for “I want to make it look like I’m doing something about the issue” when in reality nothing can be done as I already signed up to a new gym membership and the past can’t be undone.

The worst gym EVER!!!! Do not go because if you ever decide to cancel the manger Tracey will not do it. She will give a millions excuses of why it has not been processed and gaslight you with every excuse. We submitted paperwork 6/17/24 and it’s 9/13/24…..still taking the money out and more excuses of why it hasn’t been done yet. So I’m going to report fraudulent charges and just go to collections.

If I could leave a negative review I would. They do not even deserve one star, after hurricane beryl my family was hurt financially. I not only left 5 voicemails about cancelling my membership but I also sent emails explaining my distress and need to cancel and received no reply. My only assumption is that they do not care about members, they do not care if the gym is used, only that you pay for the membership and they make money. I truly believe that have neglected calling me back because they do not want tp lose my monthly payment. AWFUL PLACE!!! Do not get a membership here!!!!! I’ve been here years and the only reason I stayed is because I travel a lot and like gym access across the country (plus it’s SO HARD to cancel your membership here). The AC has been broken off and on for years, even in the winter it breaks so imagine how summers SUCK and all the equipment is rusting because of the high humidity. The management has always been bad- they’re never here, even during their posted hours. The door will break so you can’t access, then she doesn’t come in so you basically can’t workout for days til they fix it. This manager is the first one that will respond to emails though- doesn’t fix things quicker or try to help much but at least we can notify her of things. Just don’t mess with this place, I’m canceling as soon as I move out of town in a bit!
***only big perk is that with all the problems, so many people have left so the gym doesn’t get very busy!

Out of Towner: One of the worst anytimes I've ever been too. Cushions are missing on multiple machines. Small selection of equipment and machines are inoperable. Makes your workout mostly free weights and even then everything is still limited. The gym itself stinks too. Makes you nauseous if you're sensitive to certain smells.

Would not recommend a membership with this Gym! The manager Tracy is a flat out liar! I was hit by an 18 wheeler and was hospitalized back in June of this year I broke my neck and shattered my hip socket. Can't go to the gym, and have been out of work since the accident so I have been trying to cancel my membership. The manager Tracy, she will contact you to let you know your payment is due but will not answer the phone when you are trying to get in contact with her. She finally answered back in August and I explained my situation, so she told me that she was canceling my membership and that I would just have to make the last two payments and the membership would be canceled. Here it is the end of October and they are still trying to pull payments out of my account. I Honestly would never have joined this Gym if I had known this was the kinda issue I would have with them. Wish I could give them a 0 star rating.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I canceled my membership back in June and I’m still being charged. The front desk lady was no help. Half the time she worked there when I was a member she was not available during staff hours or was outside smoking cigarettes on the phone. She told me she canceled my membership when I went in June and that I would have access to the gym until July 15th. When I asked for my cancellation form she said she couldn’t give that to me that it’s all digital.

update 10/13: I still am having trouble with this whole process. There is no way to contact anyone other than Tracy (who is absolute trash) or ABC financials. I had to put a stop charge on my card so I wouldn't be charged, now I get calls daily from ABC financials saying the money I owe is going to collections and they are still charging me late fees. This has been 100% the worst experience with a gym or any altercation I've ever had to deal with. No one associated with this gym has ever tried to reach out to me and help. DO NOT USE THIS GYM.

Most impressive is that management makes sure that all the workout equipment, machines, video/tv's and the showers and restroom facilities are in good working order. Nothing is broken, out-of-service, or worn out looking in any respect. It works like it's supposed to...and the place is extremely clean.
Management is friendly and helpful & actually speaks to you and greets you when you encounter them. With 24 hour access & availability the hours are ideal for everybody. Also important is that if you go out of town there are a lot Anytime locations all over the place.

A person must be a member to get in so there is more security than if the door can be opened by anyone. It works to every member's benefit that you have to have you fob to electronically open the door.

Plenty of television monitors so you can watch the game, movie or news broadcast of your choice without bothering anyone else and vice versa.

This is a very nice gym...went there about a week ago was just visiting. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the manager. She was very nice. Communication is unreliable and unclear. I’m being told different balances are due in order to process cancellation. -I’ve tried to pay online, but the payments don’t register
-I’ve tried to pay by phone, but I’m sent back to unavailable management. The number they tell you to call back is an automated voicemail.

I agree with a past comment about this being a scam, constantly sending me in circles to get more money.

24/7 access to building, but no reliable communication. Multiple visits to try and speak to anyone in person, called and left voicemails with no return response, and tried emails.

We were regulars at the gym. We were moving and needed to cancel our membership, and we spoke with the manager. We were told no problem. They just needed a bill at our new resident with our name on it. Since there wasn't an Anytime Fitness anywhere near us. We would be able to cancel. We provided the information and was on our way. Used to like the business, after the hassle of trying to cancel I've changed my opinion. Fulfilled all requirements (signed the cancelation form, gave them a copy of drivers license, and paid the fees for a month after cancelation as required), still was being charged, account still showed that it was active. Tried reaching out on phone several times, no answer or call backs, went in person three more times, no one was available. Called main office, no one could help me there either. Emailed Tracy about it, was told she'd get back to me, no one ever did. At the end of the frustrating ordeal, I canceled my card. I would not recommend this gym after my experience. I was a member for 4 years and have been trying to cancel since the beginning of 2023.
Despite numerous attempts to cancel my membership, including emailing, calling, and going up to the gym three times, they still failed to do so and blamed it on me for not signing a document (how would I know about a document when I asked if that was all and if it was all good?). To make matters worse, they continued to charge me $120+ for a membership I had explicitly requested to cancel. Their customer service is extremely poor, and I was extremely disappointed with their lack of professionalism and disregard for their customers. If you're in the market for a new gym, I would not recommend this one and I would choose one that doesn't constantly have revolving managers.

I use anytime fitness because I move around a lot and work odd hours so I go to the gym at odd hours. Awesome experience in every anytime fitness except this one. There's a homeless man who lives in his car and parks every night in front of it, then he comes in around midnight to shower. So I talked to them about it and they told me that he is a member and therefore is allowed to be there. Mind you this is a town surrounded by prisons filled with troubled people so I really feel unsafe. But well, I went and changed my gym time. I came in today at 2.30pm and the woman vacuuming asks me if I need a day pass. I said "no, I swiped, thx'. She answered 'oh, you did, I'll check on that'. ... It was just rude. I'm disappointed. On one hand it's okay if I feel unsafe and cannot work out at the times that work best for me, because we got to be considerate of less fortunate ppl who still pay their membership, on the other hand I get to deal with snarky comments then, just because. Don't go here. It's not worth the nerves this costs.

Before I started coming to Anytime Fitness I couldnt walk and my health was in bad shape. The manager, Josh took me under his supervision and has made me feel so much better about myself physically and mentally. He does a great job at communicating with the people that come here and always keeps the gym very clean. Sad to see him leave, but happy he is moving up in the world. Great manager and trainer and we wish him the best. This gym wont be the same!

My wife and I are members and we love it. I go to a class led by Noah two nights a week, and it's been very informative and effective! My wife goes to the Yoga class led by Hollie and she loves it. Great gym!

I filled out a 7 day free pass and met with a staff member. I explained to the staff member my situation (I'm a SHSU student and wanted to potentially transition to anytime fitness full time). The staff member was very polite and hooked me up with a 10 day pass. I got the 10 day pass activated on that day, which was Thursday, and workout there the following day, Friday. I actually liked the gym and wanted to get my sister to join as well. I decided to come after work to sign up the following Monday (today). I walked in and see the manager, (his pictures on the wall). And He treated me like trash. And just kept pointing towards the door. I told him that I had a guess pass and wanted to sign up, I also told him that I was confused because the staff member never mentioned this to me before. Instead of taking all of 1 minute to explain the situation he just continually pointed at window and said "can't come past 7" then put back in his headphones and walked away.. Not to mention It had not even been a week yet. Also, the staff member told me that I could come 24hrs to workout during my trial period. In addition, The manager there is a straight up douche, not helpful at all. Seems to be more interested in working out than signing up new members. He escorted me out as soon as I walked in. I know now why people go to golds, lifetime, LAfitness and NOT anytime. Anytime just lost 3 members today and I would not even rate this 1 star.. But google doesn't accept anything less. Why 0 stars? Because I did not even get the full trial period and was embarrassed by the manager. I hope your pump was worth it guy.

Signing up has been one of the best decisions I've made since being back in Huntsville. I have always been interested in keeping fit. But while spending the last couple of years in Dallas, I never joined a gym. I had a membership years ago, and that experience probably kept me from wanting to give it another shot. A lot of places don't adequately clean their facilities. Staff can be hit-or-miss in terms of competence. And there is no shortage of personal trainers who are a bit sadist, if not altogether unbalanced -- I've seen them push trainees to do workouts that lead to some pretty bad injuries, and then have a high school coach's "just walk it off" attitude about it. No thanks!
Anytime Fitness in Huntsville, by contrast, has been outstanding. It's kept really clean. The staff know what they're doing, and are ready to help. As trainers go, Noah is impressively knowledgeable, and his approach is both thoughtful and careful. I've benefitted from yoga, too. Holly, the instructor, is highly professional and great with beginners (and doesn't give off any of the weird vibes that tend to make people want to avoid yoga studios). Absolute recommendation, with no hesitations!
