The gym is clean, professionally run and has good equipment. A recent one star post that insinuated that the staff was rude is completely off base and inaccurate. Cynthia is very nice and works hard to keep the gym clean and running well. She is also a responsible manager who closely monitors who enters and exits the gym. Which should be praised rather than ridiculed. It's simple.. use your key and only your key. Close the door behind you and don't let others in. If you do and they don't scan, it's a $250 fine. This ensures compliance and security. If it inconveniences a member, perhaps that member should remember that they are a member and pay for the privileges that come with payment. There are rules for a reason, and it's not because Anytime Fitness wants to make your day harder.. rather simply safer. So, if you're reading this, please know this gym takes security precautions seriously and rest assured you can workout in a clean peaceful environment. Good Job Cynthia. 👍

During a recent visit to an Anytime Fitness location that isn't our usual gym, my husband and I had a negative experience. Upon entering, we were immediately confronted by an older female staff member who aggressively questioned whether we had scanned our key cards. When I confirmed that we had, she walked back to get her iPad and let me know that the door needs to be shut all the way before someone else scans their key card. "That's how we do it here" is what she told me.

I was particularly taken aback by her demeanor, as we are 40 years old, not 18, and should have never been spoken to in that way. A greeting "Hi, welcome to Anytime Fitness, I’m sorry to ask but did you both happen to scan your key card?" That's how we should've been spoken to. Furthermore, she interrupted my workout to inform me that my profile lacked a photo, which she claimed was a security issue and blamed it on the employee who signed me up. I found this interaction unnecessary and unprofessional, especially since my husband's profile also lacks a photo, yet he wasn't approached.

I hope this feedback can help improve customer service interactions, ensuring all members are treated with respect and consistency.

On my FitQuest70 journey from Sacramento to Texas, I visited Anytime Fitness in Mesquite, Texas, my 68th gym with a rating of 4.5 out of 5. Today I used the Lower Back Ability (LBA) app for day 3 of the long game workout. This compact gym has clean, well-maintained equipment. Restrooms and showers are spotless, though the tiles can be slippery. A vending machine offers toiletries like shampoo and gloves at fair prices, plus another for drinks. Tanning and a yoga studio are also available here. The weight area is tight, but it’s a clean, functional spot.

Public Complaint Against Anytime Fitness (1200 E Davis St, Mesquite, TX 75149) for Homophobia

Today, I want to publicly expose an unacceptable act of discrimination that my partner and I experienced at Anytime Fitness located at 1200 E Davis St, Mesquite, TX 75149. As paying members of this gym, we were mistreated and blocked from entering simply because we are a gay couple.

The office worker at this location acted with clear homophobic behavior, violating our rights and promoting discrimination in a place that should be inclusive for everyone.

As a public figure with over 100,000 followers across all my platforms, I will be publicly exposing this act of discrimination and taking legal action against this location and the employee responsible. I refuse to stay silent in the face of such inhumane and unfair treatment.

I call on Anytime Fitness to take immediate action against these discriminatory practices and ensure that their facilities are safe and respectful for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation.

Discrimination has no place in our society. This will not go unnoticed!

Been coming here since I moved to Mesquite a couple years ago. I like it plenty of free weights and machines to get your workout in. Cynthia in the front is Amazing and does such a wonderful job at addressing problems if they come up. She’s such a great person to see when stoping by. I pay about $57 monthly for my membership, and have never seen a gym that charges so much and it look so old. The air conditioning does not work during the summer time they have big fans that make a lot of noise. They need to upgrade the matachines and the whole gym the carpet looks old and gross. Sometimes the restroom do not work. The gym is not that clean, for the price that we get charge this gym should look better!!! Planet fitness looks way better and is cheaper , fitness connection is cheaper and way fancier same goes to 24 hour fitness is cheaper and they even have a pool!!! We deserve better!!!

I've been here 2 or 3 times. The gym is quiet and not too busy. This would be an amazing location if the equipment wasn't so old and torn. Most of the equipment (leg press, leg hydrant, leg extensions) feels like the machine is about to fall apart. The seats are wobbly and worn, the weights feel resistant like they need to be oiled.

My gf and I went here for years. I think I saw an employee there maybe 3x? The owner/manager charged me a ridiculous fee because my gf used my key card. My gf has an account as well. Nice gym, prices are a bit more expensive than you’d expect but for the peace and quiet you get as well as the option to come in whenever you want via a secure key card, it may very well be worth it. One thing to note, they use abc financial services which is something to think about when it comes time to cancel/not renew a contract.

Visited this place as I travel.

Let me start with the bad and end it on a good note
1. Water fountain did not work at all
2. Vending machines didnt work either. Machine took my money to purchase.
3. Out side of water, not a wide selection of any product of value except to the vending machine owner. ( or healthier - this is the first ANYTIME Ive been to that sold not so great product lines - I will be polite - outside of water the product selection is garbage)
4. Met a trainer ( do not know if they were certified or employed of this location) form was horrible, understanding weight load for the client was even worse, the trainer was more interested in how"THEY" looked
5. Cable machines were repaired with ROPE, under load the rope gives way to much.

The good.
1. Plenty of old fashion plates.
2. decent run of dumbbells, ( only to 100 pounds) ( no double count in the 50 and lower range and there were dumbbell hogs.
3. plenty of space to work out
4. Close to a QT.
5. bathrooms were very clean - GYM was clean
6. OK selection of machines, just a little older.

This is the second worst Anytime I have ever visited. The only one worse than this, has an out of shape manager who smokes, with broken windows in the front the building with steroid needles in the trash can.

This gym is perfect if you like to workout by yourself without huge crowds. It’s like your own personal gym. Has everything you need to get a good workout done. I don’t see why people bother to leave bad comments about this gym, like just get your workout in and go. You can’t compare this gym to any other gym because like I said, it’s like your own private gym. No crowds at all. You are paying for exactly that. But anyways I totally recommend this gym if you are like me who likes to workout by yourself and just trying to get a workout in without crowds of people around you.

They didn’t inform me of the increase when my membership transferred and when I told them I didn’t agree they blocked me from their facility which in turn has blocked me from ALL Anytime Fitnesses AND they won’t transfer me back to my other gym. How is that fair???? Their equipment is completely outdated and takes them forever to fix something. Do not go here if you want to be stuck.

if i could do zero stars, i would, this gym is absolutely the biggest joke in Mesquite, and we have some that are truly questionable here in the area, the owners are crooks, try to charge for things that are incorrect, are HORRIBLE to the ex manager of the gym, who had paid for extra equipment and they refused to return it to him. Bad business. The equipment in there is faulty. There was a point during my membership where i was paying for tanning and the bed was out for like 2 weeks. Absolute JOKE! DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM!

Run down equipment, buckled floors, use to have nice hammerstrength machines....but there gone now.
