This is my home gym. I moved from the north side to the west side and this gym is closest.
My workout consists of stretching and mostly working on the power racks. The gym is clean and there are small towels to wipe down equipment. Everything I use is safe and in good working order.
For the most part, people just come in, do their workout and leave, which is exactly what I do.
Yes, it sometimes gets crowded, but so does heb if you get groceries on Sunday afternoon. The good thing is that it's open 24/7 so you can find a time that isn't busy.
I go early mornings about 430am. It's not crowded then :-) I've never used the showers, but the bathrooms are clean the few times I've used them.
The members are nice and courteous. People feel safe there. I've seen women working out alone when I arrive at 430am.

location is. One of the recent reviews is written by an employee (i know bc Ive spoke to him via email and by phone - he didnt even know they had security cameras which tells ya something)
Terrible location.
Look for the reviews that explicitly mention the manager by name (whos never there) and how clean it is and compare to actual real reviews and their photos. The rest of us are just dumb I guess.
Make it difficult to cancel membership but had no problem canceling it previously due to a bad google review! Now they want to make you jump through hoops when Im not even in a contract and havent been for years.

Be warned: if you try to cancel your membership, they make it as difficult as possible. They will not accept a cancellation over the phone or online or in email. Your options are to sign a form in person or to write them a physical letter in the mail. Even after they get the letter, there is a 30-day period before they stop charging you. It's almost like they want to make cancelling as difficult as possible. It's 2025; how can a company not accept digital agreements? Very disappointed.

This used to be my favorite gym. However, the overall quality has really declined. Rarely are there clean towels. Internet and treadmill TVs don't work and restrooms are always dirty. Broken equipment sits unrepaired for weeks at a time. I've been a regular at this gym since it was opened and it's just sad to see it come to this.

I’ve been a member of Anytime Fitness for a while now, and I can honestly say this gym stands out from the rest. One of the biggest reasons is the amazing manager, Angelina. She’s friendly, professional, and goes above and beyond to make sure members feel welcome and supported. Whether it’s helping with equipment, answering questions, or just greeting you with a smile, Angelina creates a positive and encouraging environment every day.
The facility is always immaculately clean, which I really appreciate. Everything is well-maintained and hygienic. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping the space spotless and organized.
There’s a great variety of equipment to choose from, whether you’re into strength training, cardio, or functional workouts. Plus, the 24/7 access makes it super convenient no matter your schedule.
If you’re looking for a clean, welcoming, and well-run gym, I highly recommend this Anytime Fitness location. Huge shoutout to Angelina for doing such a fantastic job!

The door frequently does not work so the gym is inaccessible for a couple of days at a time. The WiFi has been horrible the last few months and at times it does not work. The cardio machines now have two channels that work.

This should be a zero star.
Only feature saving this AF is the 24-hour accessibility.
Cleanliness lacks and needs deep cleaning, restrooms smell and became inoperable whether it's showers, toilets, or faucets, and now plumbing as I found myself plunging and resetting toilet mechanisms for staff since they fail to function check or inspect/report.
Equipment is a brand that I recommended to be replaced by alternative model brands a while back, which is understandably difficult to address. However, cracking is evident on several equipment, only one bike with a backrest, and poor engagement or quality for the body movements. Organization of the gym is constantly inadequate causing lack of efficiency and tidiness for the equipment and facility. (Too many benches too close to dumbbells, other machines benches too close to other equipment or obstructing ease of accessibility.)
Facilities... the air is not controlled by in-house staff so although some use the studio room for privacy using the doors, they do not leave this propped open for sufficient airflow for the entirety of the facility, as it provides cool air for the summer hot days and heat for the short winter months. Equipment continues to be obstructing this from being propped open. Instead of lockers, cubbies are used. The vending machine lacks quality of choices/variety and further lacks operation which is managed by an outside vendor and can provide you hot drinks if it is operating. Mirrors have stickers in the way of workout areas to use adequately. TVs hardly working both on the wall/treadmills. Wifi hardly works.
Staff has rotated quickly recently and reflects in the location. As I was a customer who attempted to improve or cater to these issues myself for myself and others when I was there, staff noticed and complained about doing so. I was appalled realizing staff notices my influence, fails to notice obvious issues to address, but is quick to insist to not to voluntarily improve facilities that I pay to use as a customer. Needless to say, staff isn't concerned so much on this location, unless it's their poor standard of being acceptable and are worried about the wrong things. Steer clear, go to another location or other gym provider.

Only benefit is convenience of location. Place is never clean. Towels never stocked to clean. Dirt can be found everywhere. Most of their tv monitors don’t work. Equipment takes forever to get fixed. Oh, the front door key fob scanner goes down about every other week. Lastly, the toilets are also constantly out of wack.
I really want to like this place but I’m frustrated because it feels those in charge don’t pay attention or care all that much.

On March 2025, I went to cancel my membership with Anytime Fitness Alamo Ranch and signed the necessary paper work of which I kept a copy. Essentially it is a 30 day cancellation notice and I understood that all fees would be collected for the next 30 days. After 30 days Anytime Fitness was still collecting membership dues the first week of May. I tried contacting Management several times, however eventually had to contact Customer Solutions through corporate. Eventually I talked to the store manager and she said she was trying to contact her manager thru email. At this time, Anytime is still trying to collect membership fees because evidently management is irresponsible and does not do their job. I contacted Customer solutions yesterday on May 22 and they told me they would try again to reach out to management of this club. I suggest to anyone thinking about joining this club to consider what I have written before making a decision.

I frequented this location for about 6 months before I started using the much larger, properly staffed location on 1604. I was relocated to Topeka Kansas two weeks ago, where there are no anytime fitness locations closer than an hour drive. I have called this location every weekday for two weeks during different time of the day, no one answers the phone and you cannot leave a message. My wife tried to go by to speak to someone and no one was there. You people need to stop playing games with canceling memberships.

I wish I could leave a 0 star review. After having a 2 year contract, I went in person to sign the 30-day cancellation form with the assistant manager in February . She said that since my contract ended in March I would only see 2 more bi-weekly charges. One month after my contract ended I’m still being charged. I spoke to someone else and they told me that the manager had already requested for payments to stop. I am in the process of disputing this with my bank, consulting with legal advisor as well. Please save yourself headaches, frustration and troubles and DO NOT sign any agreement with this gym.

I really enjoy the convenience and accessibility of the Anytime Fitness brand. I am an avid gym rat with a sporadic schedule, so I love the fact that I can get a workout in anytime. I particularly love the Alamo Ranch location as the staff is friendly and engaging, willing to do anything to ensure I get the workout I desire. They keep the equipment clean and operational and will stop what they are doing to fix any problem that arises and attend to the needs of the patrons there. This is not a common expectation for an Anytime Fitness location, but I love that they go out of their way to enhance the gym experience. Five stars to the gym and staff!

Compared to my job's rinky-dink gym, this place costs 3.8 times more. There are no lockers. I'd like to relax and not stay vigilant.
Also, the phone number doesn't work, and the website doesn't work. It took me a month to finally connect with this place. Still, when a holiday comes, there is no way to know their hours.

There is a sign at the gym advertising a free body composition scan and after speaking to Tyler on Wednesday 1/29/25 , I made an appointment for the next day, 1/30/25 at 3:00 pm.
I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment time and Tyler was busy with other customers. I waited patiently as it was not time for my appointment. At 3:00 pm, I approached Tyler to ask if the person performing my scan was going to make it on time or not. He then stated she was out eating lunch but was around the corner. After waiting for 10 more minutes, I decided to leave. I got up the chair and informed Tyler that I was heading out. I told him I was very dissatisfied for her not being on time and that I would be leaving a review regarding my experience. When I said that, Tyler got very defensive and asked why I was leaving a bad review. Rather than apologizing for the unprofessional way the gym is being run, he continued to say that he was doing me a favor by not changing me for the scan. He mentioned that he would normally charge $30 but was doing me a “favor”. I pointed out at the board and told him that what is advised is a free body composition scan, which I confirmed with himself the day prior. Now, it was a “favor” Tyler stated he would be wiping it off the board and justified the unprofessionalism by asking if it was wrong for “her” to take lunch. I told him, we made this appointment 24 hours ago and you can’t plan accordingly to be on time and respectful of people’s time? I have to go to work and now having to rush so I dont get late to work? He’s response was “it’s only 11 minutes late” wow! At that point I realize we were not going to get anywhere and I just simply told him “you are right”. His response was, “I know I am” wow, wow….That is the person that runs the business? That is how he handles situations like this? That was his response and resolution? I have a very busy schedule and it’s very tight. I am respectful of others time and simply expect the same in return. I was just looking for an apology, that I never got.
Everything happened right in-front of the office and can be verified with the cameras. Time was 3:10 pm on 1/30/25

The gym has gone down hill steadily. Ashley was the last good manager they had and that was about 2-3 years ago. The machines are fine but the free weight area is usually packed. If there’s more than 4-5 people in that area you are navigating around each other. There are 3 big TVs that used to play sports and had a remote nearby to change channels. Being a 24 hour gym it’s a great benefit to be able to change the TV to find a better game or new channel. Now the TVs are off, for the most part, and the one that works is playing Chive videos over and over. The cardio machines TVs are either not working or turn on and don’t have a signal. There’s only a handful of them that actually work. The one restroom is almost always dirty and dingy. There’s never soap in the dispenser and never hand towels available to dry your hands. They compensated by giving us a commercially purchased hand sanitizer. The hand sanitizer stations have been empty for months. It’s been about 3 months and they did a much needed “deep cleaning” but that was after 2-3 years (since Ashley left). I have seen the newest manager trying to keep up with the maintenance but I’m not sure if it’s the owner hamstringing upkeep by nickel & dime’n or just a lack of oversight. I’m always disappointed going here as it’s the closest gym to me.
I will add that I’ve finally seen more spray bottles for sanitizers and a random roll of paper laying around the gym. And sometimes there’s sanitizing wipes available.

I recently joined Alamo Ranch branch with a one-year membership. Unfortunately, after just one month, I was diagnosed with tennis elbow. My doctor provided a note advising that I should refrain from lifting weights until I am fully recovered. So I requested a cancellation of membership. However, when I presented this note to the gym, they refused to accept it because it didn't match their preferred format.
The note I provided is the standard template used by the hospital for such situations. I find it disappointing that they would not recognize an official medical document and accommodate my health needs. As a member, I expect better support and understanding, especially when it comes to health-related issues.
I hope they can review their cancellation policy and consider being more flexible with members who present legitimate medical concerns.

The gym is a nice one. The equipment is clean and organized. I was very excited to join this gym. However, I have been trying to get registered 3 times already and the manager there keeps forgetting to input my information on the computer. On my appointment day the manager said technology was down but the next days she could have called me to reschedule and failed to do so. She keeps saying I need an appointment instead of taking me in right away when she is available. I believe there needs to be better communication and follow through with prospective members. I identified several deficiencies in the way that particular location is managed. The delay in providing immediate and positive services to members will definitely have a negative impact in the future.

Came in looking to switch gyms. Did not get a welcoming feeling. The person helping me didn’t even offer to show me around (like the other location I went to did). Didn’t even discuss prices with me. This is a very nice and local gym. Since it's not the largest, you won't get every machine, but you'll definitely get most of them. There's enough space for everyone to do their own workouts, and since most people come on Mondays/Weekends, some days, you will get the gym to yourself. It's paid entry, but it's only 10 or 15 a month and is walking distance from some of the living areas around it. Perfect for anyone who would like to work out after school/work.

First time back in the gym in 8 years. I have had an outstanding experience at Anytime Fitness! Ms. Dallas, the manager, was incredibly helpful during my free trial and sign-up process, and the convenience of handling everything on my phone was a big plus. The gym is clean, simple, and ideal for someone getting back into working out. The workout atmosphere is great, and the equipment is excellent. What's even better, my buddy recommended the gym, and he received a free month, which has allowed us to motivate each other. It's a win-win all around!

Great place to workout. The staff is amazing. Mike Thomas is the truth. He is my trainer. Very efficient, safety is a big when working out with him. He also makes sure that you are during the exercise correctly without injuring yourself. It is safe. You can only get into the gym if you are member and you can only use your key fab. Overall, great gym and great people.

I enrolled through active and fit with usaa. And the process was very easy I was able to send details through email and text so I didn't have to come in person, since I work night shift. When I go to the gym at very early hours in the morning it's quite nice the gym is well lit outside. Dallas helped me with the process we had a minor key fob issue but he immediately fixed it for me. The equipment was well maintained from what I've seen so far. The bathrooms were clean as well.

Gym used to be good…new management came in and gym is dirty, equipment will stay broken for days or weeks at a time, toilets don’t work half the time, drinking fountains don’t work right, gym is hot usually around 80 degrees. Temperature could be controlled better if the blinds were kept closed in the afternoon but manager won’t close them until they auto close on a timer around 5:30 pm after the sun has super heated the gym. I have asked a couple times to close them because of the glare off vehicles in the parking lot and he just says no they will close when the timer closes them. And this location gets super busy from 2:30-6. I’ve worked out at 3 locations this is by far the worst.

I tried to tour the facility to see whether I want to join. I went around 1:30 pm and the sign said there’s no staff between 1-3. So I left and did some errands to kill some time. I returned a little after 3 and rang the doorbell several times and no one came. I then called them several times with no answer, now it says the mailbox is full. This place must not need new members. I guess I’ll go down the street to see whether Gold’s Gym is taking on new members.

Beware these folks when you cancel, they will rip you off, claim your cancellation was never received. (I went in and signed a cancellation form, they first told me it was returned and then that they had no record of it.) Went in again and wanted a signed copy, said they could not print that out. I had returned my door key fob and had a record of that date, the first time I was there in person to cancel, but were not really willing to talk about when that key fob was recorded back in. Had no memory of me calling in about being canceled but still getting billed, that he would immediately cancel the account (which seems odd as they claim they have to have a signature, why would he offer that over the phone?). The story just kept changing.
In short, I'm out over $200, stuck waiting for my cancellation again and will get billed another 2-3 times before this is over.
If you cancel, don't trust them, get it in writing. Mine was manually e-mailed to me so I now have a record.

Very professional encounter. The facility is clean and inviting. The manager A. Was very helpful. Good equipment. Just wish there were more low ride cycles. There is one and then higher bikes. As an individual with knee issues riding on the higher bikes is not ideal. Other than that very pleased today was my first day after leaving my former gym. I would just like to add that it would be great if the gym didn’t have contracts in this day and time. Had my other gym not allowed me to leave by just filling out a form, I would not have been able to join ANYTIME fitness. I did sign a contract and that is because I am a neighbor of the gym and it’s just more convenient. Otherwise I probably would not have.

Ashley the manager was super professional and kind. Helped me get setup in legit less than 15 min, and made sure I understood the signup and process for key-fobbing in and escalating any issues or questions. 10/10, no notes, she was great and tbh made the sign up process great and easy.
The location is super clean. it’s been great so far and I don’t have any complaints.

I was considering joining and using their personal training. No one answers the main line. I called three times to talk to a personal trainer, and I still have not talked one. I was promised a call from a trainer, it never happened. I was ready to move forward, but now I highly doubt it. The manager said, “I really don’t care that much about your business. I have plenty.”

I can’t even begin to explain how disappointed I am in this location. The gym itself is good, but the fact that I was unable to bring my daughters who are 7 years old and an 11 year old to sit in the waiting room with her tablet with the understanding that they not step foot into the workout area and stay seated until I’m done with my workout is unreal. I have been to multiple other gyms around town and this has not and continues to not be an issue for any gym expect this one. I completely understand not bringing kids to the gym especially toddlers due to liability issues but once they are of the age to understand that they need to stay seated until their parent is done and we have not ONCE had a complaint from other members or owners/staff at any other Anytime I think it should be discussed and considered with the owners of the franchise. As a matter of fact, we get compliments from owners, managers and members occasionally of how well behaved our children are while we get our 45min- 1 hour workouts in. I know some may say, get a membership at a gym where there is childcare… it doesn’t work for our family due to work schedules and the fact that my husband works out of town and we travel often and need the flexibility to go to a gym anywhere, anytime. I simply wish there could have been a discussion and agreement before telling us we needed to leave right there and then as my child is sitting on a chair with her tablet and headphones on, not bothering anyone.

I tried to cancel my membership because I wasn’t comfortable going to the gym because of COVID and I was no longer working and was told I couldn’t cancel my membership. I called the corporate office and was told I had to speak with the local gym. I called and spoke to the lady I signed up with and was told I couldn’t cancel my membership. So basically I’m still paying for a membership I’m not even using. DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!!!!!

I will not be held hostage for your client's corrupt business practices. During the Covid 19 pandemic shutdown, I called to cancel my subscription on many occasions, no phone calls were returned, contacted corporate office and was told only the local office could cancel the subscription. I've previously took deployments outside of the country and continued to let my account to be paid automatically for over a year without me ever setting foot into this business. The Covid shutdown was enough and I removed access to my account and I will not pay any fees associated with this morally bankrupt company.

Staff is never there. It's disappointing. They even have a sign posted on the door with exact times and a phone number they don't answer. If you don't want to waste a ton of time your best bet is to call the number and leave a message.
The facility is great. Clean, well kept with up-to-date equipment. The price for membership is reasonable. Open 24hrs a day.

I loved this gym and it was always clean but when the pandemic hit. I Couldnt go because our kids had to do virtual learning at home. So i had no babysitters. When the GYM was forced to close. I was still getting charged even when the GYM was Closed. I was told we could have cancelled it then through an email that was sent. I never recieved this imaginary email. It has been headache after headache along with stress. No matter how many times I tried to cancel our membership we are still getting billed. Money keeps coming out of our account for a year now. And I cant even go. And because we want to remain in good standing and not go to collections. We have to pay. Not cool. I wanted to cancel and return after the pandemic was over (and my kids returned to school) but now I wont be returning. When all of this is over, People will remember how they were treated during this pandemic.

BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE they are very unprofessional in all aspects (bad billing practices also the out of the about 10 times that I visited the gym at least half of the times the restrooms and showers were out of service)they have been Taking my money for longer than a year now even though that I only used their services for 1 month , I also just opened a complaint in the BBB where I found that they already before my complaint have an F grade for poor business practices.
since June I can not visit the gym For medical recommendations , so I sent them the medical records but they refused to cancel my membership , then even after they were just taking my money for a whole year for a service that I could not use for the last 6 months, I requested the cancellation because of the expiration of the contract after the 12 months , and I just checked my bank account and they are still taking my money as 3 days ago
I work really hard to provide for my family not for this gym with unethical practices to just take my money

DONT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE! No matter how many times we cancel our membership we are still getting billed! Email after email, been at the gym in person over 10 times with the intention of canceling. All Employee's do is say "not in charge of that". Horrible customer service, almost impossible to cancel membership! They offer zero help. Save yourself some trouble.

Had family membership for several years and enjoyed the facility. It is a great concept and in good location. Had terrible ending to relationship. Cancelled 3 of 4 family members once Covid-19 hit. Placed 4th on indefinite hold. Have email stating would contact me after 3 weeks if anything changed. Started receiving calls and email about past due bill. They started billing again without letting me know. Would not adjust it either. Received email and phone call from area manager Morgan Hubbard. Terrible attitude and completely unfriendly. Should not be manager of himself muchless an area. We had planned on going back once we felt it was safe but since he was so concerned with collecting $67 we will never go back. The cherry on top was having to go in person to club to sign contract cancellation document. I was correct in picturing people working out with no masks on as required. They have the signage up but don't bother to enforce it at all. July 2020.

I personally loved this gym, until an incident happened today. On the website it states that you are ollwed to bring guests. My dad and I share a membership, because we used to attend at different times, but because of corona we decided to go at the same time. Been doing this for about two weeks until today, a staff member i've never seen before (with glasses) walkes up to me and she tells me to leave. Like what am i suppose to do walk home? I went there with my dad. I've seen people come in groups of 3-4 before and never saw them get stopped or asked to leave. Never had a problem with staff, but I did with this one. Someone correct me or not, but doesnt it say that youre allowed guests???

The gym is fine, but my main grievance lies with the 3rd party company they use to do their collections and billing. They make it incredibly difficult to cancel your membership (which you can’t even do inside the gym), and force you to email an automated book keeper. Like I said, the gym is fine but they way they do business isn’t. It’s not straight forward, and they need to provide an easier way for customers to cancel.

Representatives are deceiving with contract terms. They show you a portion that sounds reasonable but the other half is not represented when signing, allowing for them to overcharge again & again despite payments being on time. They don't announce when they'll be with drawing, they just do. They withdrew twice in a month without any notification of doing so or a reason as to why. They tell you cancellation is only through the support number as to how much/how to yet when you call it the automated machine tells you before anything else: "For questions about charges or account information, please contact your local Anytime Fitness as every contract varies with franchise location." When attempting to review this, staff is nowhere to be found, & since I work during the time they are there, I have to wait till next week in order to fix this, dealing with another charge to be placed before then as stated by the automated system, costing me $170 instead of the normal $46 as stated with the original contract. If I could, I would rate them zero stars.

Just walked in to sign up as I'm in town for one month and i work overseas. Was willing to pay monthly fee but they said i must pay for key $50. I explained i have a key from my brother who goes to this gym but they insisted i must purchase my own key . absolutely redicules demand as i wont use it again. Just walked out !
