Is this gym a little rough around the edges? Yes. Does that detract away from a good without? No.

Though not perfect, the AF in Wharton has a good and varied amount of equipment, in good repair, for you to meet your fitness goals.

3 squat racks, a squat machine, leg press and half a hack squat machine tells you this isn't some phone in the effort gym.

While it has everything you need I do take a small issue with the layout; on one side you have a tunnel like dungeon of equipment while on the other you have a canyon of wasted space, or rather as of yet, unutilized space. A small matter that can be addressed in time, no doubt.

Other than a few small blemishes it is a nice place to workout.

It even has giant tires in case you want to take your workout outside. Big plus

Okay gym, I pay for my nephews membership. He seemed to like it. However, no one ever answers the phone or returns calls. His card stopped working at one point and now we’re trying to cancel the membership all together and no one is answering. The cost vs equipment is questionable. I’ve paid $30 two times a month & then you have to pay an additional fee (2x per year) for equipment upgrades. I noticed one other comment about the equipment. If you charge a fee you must use those funds for upgrades 🤷‍♀️ my nephew has been a member for just over a year and no new equipment.

There are not enough plates to compliment the amount of racks in the facility you literally have to borrow weights from wherever you can find a free one which is sad because the facility is nice and spacious and has the potential to be great but as it stands the equipment doesn’t support the traffic of people who lift at this location

I have been a member for many years. I drive from out of town early every morning.
I’ve seen it all, broken equipment dirty gym, equipment not fixed. Today really made me so angry. I got a text saying to put back a cushion I was using because the abb equipment was broken. I have Never complained through all the lack of care for the gym. I see people let in and for months there was even a person living in the gym, through it all I stayed a member. But today was beyond stupid to text me to put back a cushion. Do they not have anything better to do than troll the camera for long time paying active members!

I have recently joined the club and so far enjoy using the equipment. I would however like to know when and how often the machines are calibrated? I noticed that when lifting or using the machines that the cables don't pull tight right away..basically there is slack in the cables and it affects a persons workout. Can this be addressed soon? Also..the bathrooms have some mold growing and a few of the weight benches have the cover material peeling off. Please have this fixed asap...we as paying customers would appreciate maintained equipment.

New posting: I visited another Anytime location and the place was clean and smelled clean, the manager was walking around cleaning equipment and even the toilets. I noticed a sign on the door warning gym members that they are not allowed to bring guests in the evenings...only during staffed hours and the guests have to pay and that if they violate this...then there will be fees and possibility of losing membership.
My home location doesn't seem to worry about guests...my problem with guests is that they use the equipment and are not paying to use it and if something gets messed up...then they are not worried because they are not paying a membership. I pay to use the equipment...I hate going into the gym and seeing these people who tagged along with another person sitting on equipment and just taking up space. Besides that...I think that it would be some sort of liability for AF to have someone get injured and not have a membership with all the paper that needed to be signed at joining time. Also...there are no sanitizing wipes in the Wharton location...an almost empty bottle of what smells like cinnamon and a roll of paper towels....that location really needs to be looked into. I figure that with all the membership fees being paid, there would be cleaning wipes all the time. Very disappointed in that location.

Almost a predatory threat by new management based on a miscommunication from former management. Odd how all of a sudden she wants my past due balance paid or it will go to collections (the company that bills is completely separate). Planets black membership is 25 bucks and much more available at the gym. Not a set of weights and plates strung all over the place. Drive a little save a lot and get better service as well as amenities. All they’re banking on is they’re the only gym in Wharton. PRAY no one else sets one up, because you will be boarding up the windows.

They are under new ownership and their prices are different now they want you to pay every two weeks but if you paying at a biweekly rate it's more to me so I don't really know if any time fitness is worth it because you don't have room you can go in and detoxy. You need it after a workout

Poor communication with patrons. Charged for services that could not be used due to pandemic. When confronted with lack of communication with charges, no insignificant sum, the personal training staff was accused by management for failing to inform patrons of corporate decisions. Would recommend.

A member for about 3 years. Most of the staff was great and facility was very good. I decided to quit the club because I moved away. When I called to cancel my membership I was told that I had to come in and quit in person and sign paperwork. Not happy about that since I had already moved away. Sorry, no exceptions!! So I can’t quit over phone, he can’t send me paperwork via email... and I’m still getting charged. So I HAVE to drive in and sign out. Okay fine! So I quit on December 3rd “in person” a month ago and low and behold I get charged AGAIN this month! So WTF does a guy gotta do to quit this place?!? Apparently the only person you can talk to is the idiot behind the desk! So here’s my review. NOT HAPPY!!

The gym has plenty of room and all the necessary equipment, good new cardio machines. But it's dirty and extremely dusty. The smell of mold and dust is overwhelming, could barely breath towards the end of my work out. Large showers with a kick ass pressure
