Been going here for almost 3 years non stop. I've been happy with the gym, cleanliness and equipment selection. This gym is small and in the time ive been here ive never seen any judgement or even side eyes towards new comers and people just starting to work out. Get your butt in here, get with the trainer and work out like no ones watching. If you need advice ask anyone around. I wish I could respond to the person that said people are on their phone.
1. I look at my phone between sets to let my heart rate cool down before going again. Not saying it was me, but ive done it.
2. If you need it, say something. Ask to work in. I know I wouldn't mind getting up and sharing a machine while im cooling down and most others would likely feel the same.

Dont make a big deal of a small inconvenience. You created a problem that is resolvable.

I travel the world for business and have visited dozens of Anytime Fitness locations across the globe. After moving from The absolute best Anytime fitness location in Ridgefield WA where the owners and trainers really paid very close attention to customer service and the highest quality of the product we find the Willis location to be on the exact opposite of the scale. The GM is rude and condescending and the equipment is in absolute horrible and in some cases dangerous condition. The rowing machine for example looks and feels like it was out in the rain for 3 years. When I brought this to her attention she basically scoffed and said no one else is complaining about it and that she will have the maintenance guy look at it eventually but not to expect it to change. That it’s not approved anytime fitness equipment and would have to be replaced and not to expect that either. The spin bike is another example of the poor equipment in the gym. It’s a kids bike and too small to ride without injuries. This is also not approved Anytime Fitness equipment or even required equipment in the gym so not to expect it to change. The owners and staff have, I can only assume, never been to a well maintained Anytime location especially when they think the conditions of the equipment is good enough to have on the floor. This location has put in question my and my wife’s membership with Anytime Fitness and this location should be avoided. Please don’t ignore the 1-2 star reviews, they were right about this place, they auto renew contracts as well my contract was over and I still had to pay a cancellation fee of $87 even after my contract was up. 🤡🤡
Also charging me a maintenance fee a few days before my cancellation date so $120+ just to be done with this place. Imagine charging someone a fee for a gym they don’t even attend anymore

Decent gym. Half the employees are okay but the lady that keeps constantly calling me even though I received multiple texts from them needs to learn a little more about customer service. Sure I'm late a few times but who wants to pay extra for gym enhancements. Yet after that "upcharge" so they could get better equipment never happened. they charged me or almost 100 extra the first month for that. Oh and leaky buckets every where when it rains. So, Its just confusingly frustrating, after it took me almost 2 weeks when I first started to get ahold of somebody or even get a fob! Good luck tryin to get in. Could've easily been 4 stars but I'll just leave it at 3.

If you’re looking for a gym that combines spotless facilities, a welcoming culture, reliable equipment, and a sense of belonging, our gym here in Willis is the clear choice.

I love how we have a culture of acceptance, encouragement, and a family oriented approach. Please don't ever stop fostering that! Also, anytime we bring suggestions to Sanyda or her mom regarding equipment, upgrades, or necessary repairs they genuinely listen and give best effort to implementation.

Last but not least, the staff team does an absolutely wonderful job at managing the facility and it's cleanliness. I go to many locations throughout my travels and always find myself missing our location and gym family.

The actual gym is nice. BUT....People on cell phones...for God's sake. They occupy the equipment for good 20 minutes. Out of those 20 minutes they work out for 5 minutes. The rest of the time they just sit and use cell phone. Hello? There are other people in the gym who need that equipment and they don't have whole day to wait for you to finish texting.

I've got family all over Texas, so anytime fitness seemed like the perfect choice. The only thing inwish they had was saunas. Other than that ANYTIME means anytime. I hate people and crowds so I usually hit the gym by 2am before work. It's nice having the gym to yourself. No one bugging you asking how much you bench ir you don't see everyone on there phones taking selfie after a weak set. Or holding up the machines becaue they don't know how to work out and won't listen to advice. The one in Conroe is nice , and they keep it super clean.

Update Willis is still a better gym for its equipment but the music is a bit too loud.

Much nicer than Montgomery location. AC works, the music is not deafeningly loud like Montgomery and cleaner too.
It’s a longer drive but we may start coming here more.

Leaks....leaks....and more leaks.Prepare to see a buckets and the trash being used to catch leaks when its raining. They had a tan room but it's never in use making the entire room useless. The people that attend are older in the day and very friendly. Your going to pay 90$ a month but the other gyms around the area is DRASTICALLY cheaper, the REC center ten minutes away has everything they have for half the price for a family of four. I've been to other anytime gyms and the cleanliness is soooo much better. If you go at night don't use the bathrooms. Wish they left some spray to disinfect the bathroom for the night time users. It's a safe location and it doesn't get crowded. Might take a while to find someone who works there, be patient at the door if you want to register. Your at the mercy of someone noticing you and people can't let you in so people will ignore you at the door and close it behind them( which is what you should do).

I made an appointment for 4:30 pm on 5/7/2024 to try the gym and get a tour. It is now 30 minutes pass my appointment time. This isn’t a huge issue but a big problem is there is NO STAFF in sight? No one to answer phone calls, no one to greet or wave at even through the glass door. I have called over 8 times at this point, left voicemails, sent an email and still 0 response. What a waste of time, poor management, terrible staff, simple easy work is too complicated. Just lazy. Do better. Don’t bother at this gym.

This gym needs a serious overhaul. From the constant roof leaks that make the gym smell horrible, outdated machines, overall dirtiness everywhere you look… There are much better gyms around the area if you’re willing to drive an extra 10-15 minutes. I only go here for convenience. It’s been the same for years. Unfortunate since brand new Anytime’s are much nicer with current equipment and impeccable cleanliness. You’d think the owners would want to update, but I guess not.

Only reason I didn't give five is the annoying music. I usually wear shooter's hearing protection and that helps good enough except at the later evening times. It's blaring that pollutant out so loudly to the point my ear mufflers don't adequately protect me from getting agitated to the the point of mood fail, resulting in a much abbreviated workout. I even linked my ankle bands together around my head compressing the mufflers tight, so much that my scalp was falling asleep and still it was to no avail.

Not the normal location I visit but I was in the area so I stopped in for quick workout. I went to use the restroom before a workout and noticed this sign by the toilets. No toilet paper in the toilet. This would be reasonable to me for some little small town old building with an old septic system, but really? A built up area, and I can't throw toilet paper in the toilet. Main reason for the picture is there is no trashcan by the toilet. So what're you supposed to do? Aside from that, they do have nice equipment and I would go back.

I’ve been trying to get a membership at this location for a long time now and never have any success. No one is ever in the building during staffed hours and as well as nobody answering the phone. Well I heard from a member that in the last 18 months they have had 4 managers. That’s how long the member has been there. I’ve tried several times to talk to someone but no luck. Guess they don’t need new members. See I Ins a local business and wanted to discuss offering my 250 employees an opportunity for a membership there, yes my company pays for it. Figured if they were healthy and in shape it would cut down on sick time and possible injuries. Novel concept, no I’ve been doing this as a perk for 25yrs. I will take my business elsewhere, where they appreciate customers.

My son have tried to cancel for months. Impossible. He was back in person the other day (again), person was on call and told him he will call back. Guess what, no call so far.
So this weekend I just have to go to the bank and see if they can stop the auto draft.

Same roof leaks as one year ago when I joined, so every time it rains expect to have the trash containers all over in the middle of the gym, between the equipment and even have water drops falling on you when working out!! I love the 24 hour accessibility of this place. I can come in at 4 am and start my workout immediately. Everyone that works out there is very respectful and good at wiping the equipment down after each use with the more than ample supply of antibacterial wipes on every wall. The equipment is in excellent shape, and there is more than enough of it to go around. I think the size of this gym is perfect, and I won’t be going anywhere else, despite the fact that my membership allows me to go to any other location anytime! First off, this is a great local gym and I have been going for years. I'm super disappointed though, my card was recently stolen. Called anytime to let them know about the issue and get a new card on file the next day. They charged me a 20 dollar "service" fee to put a new card on file, then told me if I want to cancel they will charge me again for another month and I wouldn't even be going to the gym. Anytime has too many "hidden" fees that they avoid talking about with the customer when signing up. Gold's gym is a third of the price and double the size. Customer service is a joke with anytime, its hit them with another fee!

I give the gym 3 stars because I did like the gym when I went there. Went for a year and always enjoyed the vibe. However at the end of that year my membership should have ended, but instead they say I signed a 2 year membership, which was not supposed to be the agreement. Now of course it is my fault as well for not paying more attention when signing paperwork, I notice that I am not the only person who has had this problem with these people. If you do sign up MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT RUSHED THROUGH THE PROCESS!! Great gym but they will pull the cover over your eyes if you let them

I like the fact that this gym is close to me and it has everything I need to workout. However, it is a very small place and gets cramped if a lot of people are there. My main frustration is that people bring their children in the evenings when they go to workout. There is one couple who goes every night and brings their two boys who will play with the equipment and hit each other, and make a huge mess and get in the way of people who are trying to workout. I don't mind if people bring their children as long as the kids know they shouldn't get in the way of the people working out. I know it's probably hard for Anytime to do anything about this when these people are coming in the evenings after the staff has left, but they do have security cameras and can see who scans in. That is the other frustration, there are a lot of people who "piggyback" and don't scan in, or random people come in with their friends or family.

Well it's not just the gym, it's the group training sessions that are a big help. My flexibility was out the window but now I'm doing and getting better. My balance and strength is so much better than before I joined. So you really should get in there and try it yourself because then you will probably answer this question better than myself. 😉

Buyer beware!!! They said Nothing when I was signing up, No mention of a two-year contract. I was just rushed through the paperwork. (Shame on me for not stopping and asking questions and just trusting someone who only cares about sales) A two year contract is CRAZY for a gym, especially a crappy key-card gym with little to no services. They will hold you to that 2-year contract. I would advise anyone to stay away. There are several options nearby don’t require the commitment.
